Valentine Winters P.O.V
âI donât want to get married.â I confessed to my dad.
âYou will.â He stated.
âIâm just 16.â I reasoned.
The rearmost thing that I remembered was that I was sleeping beside Lucifer. His warm body against mine.
Next, Iâm in the pack house with my dad arranging civil partnership for me.
I did hear his cries though, I was just paralysed.
I couldnât speak or flutter my eyes open. Just like being a statue.
Itâs been a couple of weeks since I last encountered him. Its hard to say but I do miss him, if it werenât for him, I wouldnât have been strolling around now.
âYou havenât found your mate that leaves you unprotected.â He said.
Yes, I didnât inform my dad that Lucifer was my mate.
Itâs forbidden.
A stupid law, I guess.
âHeâll be here tomorrow to go on a date with you.â He told before exiting my room leaving no room to protest.
I can take care of myself.
The next day, I wore a black shirt with black leather jacket and black skinny jeans. With that I completed my outfit wearing black boots.
I descended downstairs sitting on the couch situated in the living room. I saw my dad coming downstairs and stopped abruptly when he looked at me.
âGo and wear something like a girl would wear.â He shooed me.
âWhy?â I asked making out no issue with my attire.
He rolled his eyes at me.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
My dad strode towards the door opening it.
âCome in.â He welcomed.
I saw a man and woman probably about my mom and dadâs age coming inside with their son following them.
He actually looked to be uninterested and disliking this as well. They sat down on the couch facing me.
My mom was cooking in the kitchen. She loves to cook and she does make enjoyable and delicious meals.
âGo have some chat.â His mom suggested. He narrowed his eyes at his mom before glancing at me.
âCome on.â I sighed and he stood up joining me.
I walked out the house and he caught up to me.
âI donât agree to this arra-â I started.
âTouché, I wanted to wait for my mate.â He told interrupting me.
âThen why did you agree to it ?â I enquired.
âParents.â He answered.
âSame, what could we do ?â I asked.
He sighed defeatedly shaking his head signifying theres no other choice.
âYouâre the girl that got kidnapped by the hunters ?â He interrogated.
I nodded.
âFishy youâre alive.â He raised an eyebrow at me.
I shrugged. âLucky ?â
âMercy ?â He assumed.
I gulped.
âGabriel, can I ask you something ? I asked.
âYou already did.â He said.
I rolled my eyes at him.
âI know your dadâs past, do you know who your half brother is ? I know theres a ten months apart between you and him.â I said.
âIt happened before he met mom and noâ He answered with a slight frown.
I felt culpable for asking this but if they didnât know who he was and he doesnât know who they are, how can these two get along ?
Gabriel do have identical features to Lucifers but with blonde hair instead.
Matching blue eyes they shared yet the aura Gabriel possesses is comforting compared to Lucifer. His aura holds darkness.
I sighed.
Itâs been another couple of weeks, a month since Iâve perceived my mate. My wolf yearned for him dreadfully.
Has he forgotten about me ? I frowned at that.
This arrange marriage has gone too far.
My dad stated that Iâll be getting married with him tomorrow. I felt repulsed. I tried to deny, to protest.
He wouldnât listen. I cried to my mom but there was nothing she could do. They valued my safety.
The marriage was held in the pack house itself.
I couldnât do this.
My best friends are both men.
My delta and beta.
Octavius and Zachary
Less drama to have men as best friends.
I sat down on my bed. Octavius and Zachary accompanied sitting down on the floor.
âSorry Val, wish we could do something.â Zachary sympathised.
âI just donât want this.â I confessed.
âWhatâs with you and the man that brought you here?â Octavius asked curiously.
I just kept quite.
They are my best friends.
We knew each others since we were in diapers.
âPromise to keep it a secret ?â I asked.
They nodded their heads impatiently.
âMate.â I said.
Both of their jaw was open in shock while their eyes went wide. If it wasnât such a grim situation, I probably would have laughed at their facial expression.
âWhat?â Both shrieked in unison.
Then they were explaining to each other saying no wonder he saved me, that they should have known and etcetera.
âTomorrow is your wedding, do you want me to inform him ?â Zachary asked.
I shook my head. I donât think he cares,
Iâll just have to try and adjust with Gabriel somehow.
When he finds his mate, Iâll leave him.
It hurt to say that he doesnât want me. I donât even think he actually concerns about me.
My wedding day arrived in no time. Here I am, wearing a white wedding dress standing in front of the mirror. Every girl whoâs gonna get married would be smiling but I had no expression written over my face just emotionless.
Thereâs one place built and made just for weddings in our pack house, thatâs where the ceremony will begin.
âItâs time.â One of my brides maid informed.
I nodded.
I went outside seeing my dad, I locked arms with him and began walking down the aisle. I saw Gabriel wearing a suit. He didnât look pleased as well.
The wedding song began and I walked until I was right next to Gabriel.
The priest started, I hope itâs long. He proceeded and I didnât even care in the whole world.
âWill you Gabriel Zades take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife to live together in the covenant marriage?â, âWill you love her, comfort her, honour her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others?â. The priest asked Gabriel.
He thought for a moment looking at me, please say no I begged with my eyes. He then looked at his parents expressions.
âI doâ he said in a monotone voice.
âAnd will you Valentine Winters have this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to live together in the covenant marriage?, will you love him, comfort him, honour him, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others?â The priest asked me this time.
My mind, heart and wolf was telling me to say no. My father looked at me knitting his eyebrows together. I looked at everyone watching me intently.
I was practically having a mini phobia.
âI-i -I do-â I started.
âNo you donât!â A voice boomed echoing through the walls.
I turned around seeing the one person who was made for me, enraged. My guards tried to pull him back.
He pulled out his gun, threatening daringly resulting them to surrender and back away.
He wasnât alone, there were more hunters along with him.
He looked at me and strode towards me with a menacing glare making me cower.
Lucifer ?
