Chapter 16: Rooms

Her Little WolfWords: 2293

Emerson POV

We were all given directions and room numbers to our living areas. I walked down the long corridors with all the others.

One by one we all found our rooms. Mine was at the end of the hall the rooms being pretty spacious for two people.

I mean hey put me closest to the danger I love it.

"It's our favorite thing to be in." Carter said with a chuckle within our mind link.

I got my things in order, picking a side of the room for myself. I waited for my roommate to arrive.

I looked outside my door watching everybody get their roommate. It seems that people from the same pack are getting paired up and some from other packs partnering up.

Do we not have a roommate? I mean I have to have a roommate. Miss River didn't say anything about not having a roommate.

"Maybe we should go find Alice, see if she knows anything about this situation." Carter recommended and I agreed with her on that.

I grabbed my bag and walked down the corridors and followed the map to her office within the large castle-like structure.

It was beautiful. The academy walls were lined with statues and beautiful art work made by a range of painters.

I made it to her office and knocked on the door.

"Miss River it's me, Emerson. I have a question for you." I said standing at the door waiting for her.

"Come in." She called out to me as I went inside her office closing the door behind me to see both Alice and Scarlet.

"Oh uh hello Miss Knight." I said with a small smile.

"Hello Emerson." She said plainly.

"You had a question." Alice said pulling my attention away from Scarlet.

"Yeah um it seems I don't have a roommate." I said nervously as she looked confused.

"Huh that's weird everyone was supposed to have a roommate." She said looking at her files before looking at me.

"You didn't come here with anyone?" She asked.

"That's correct." I answered.

"Well most werewolves were paired with people from their own pack or a pack that was allied with their own pack." She explained as I nodded.

"And because no one came with me and that everyone is already paired up with someone that means I don't have a roommate then?" I said.

"No everybody is supposed to have a roommate." She said sighing.

"I have an idea if you're both willing to hear me out." Miss Knight said causing both of us to look at her.
