Emerson POV
"Rowen I didn't mean it in a bad way-"
"No no I agree with you but my wife seems to disagree." Alpha Rowen said interrupting my dad as he nodded.
My dad and the alpha grew up together so even though they were the alpha and beta of the pack they acted more like brothers more than anything.
"My wife wants Emerson to apologize to Conner." Rowen said with a sigh as my dad's eyes widened.
"Rowen don't you think that's a little much? My daughter only defended herself to your son's content want for fights." My father said as Rowen sighed.
"It's either that or she leaves." He said staring at me making everyone go silent.
"Leave? What do you mean leave?" My mother asked as my brother stood in front of me in a protective stance.
"My wife either wants a public apology or your daughter can't study in the packs grounds as promised. She won't be exiled or anything just can't study in the same place as my son." Rowen explained as my brother and father got angry.
"Why should Emerson have to apologize for your son being weak?" My brother asked causing everyone's attention to go to him expressions of shock, surprise, and nervousness on everyone's faces.
"Elliott-"
"No Emerson." My brother said stopping me as I looked at him.
"Conner is weak and everyone in the pack knows it the only reason why he and your 2nd wife want her gone is because she's a girl that can beat him." My brother said standing his ground as the alpha stared at him with a blank stare.
"I mean everyone knows Kate won't let him take the alpha position and he's flinging around the title as if it's his when it's not." My brother continued as everyone went silent.
Samantha or the alpha's 2nd wife was his second mate gifted to him by the moon goddess after his first wife, Lily, died after giving birth to Kate who is Rowen's first born.
"Alpha I apologize I just want to-"
"Protect her. I know. And don't apologize for the truth." He spoke over my brother.
"I know that it's unfair but she is my mate. My second chance and he is my son. Even if he is weak he is still my son." The alpha said with a saddened sigh.
"I know you won't apologize because you have nothing to apologize for so I made a decision regarding a situation that has been on my mind." The alpha spoke my father's eyes widening.
"Rowen you don't mean.." my father words trailer off as the alpha nodded.
"Emerson I would like you to study at Riverwood Academy." He spoke causing everyone's eyes to widen.
