Emerson POV
I was right about one thing at least.
The wolves are officially ignoring me.
"They're staying away like we have damn rabies or something." Carter growled as I sighed.
"Yes but we knew this would happen eventually especially because of who we're friends with." I said as I continued to do my work.
"Yeah I know but come on Taylor is nice, but I do have a worry though." Carter said softly as I stopped my curiosity getting the better of me.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I don't know it's just I remember some of these people from somewhere I just can't remember where." She replied as I nodded looking over at the other wolves.
They looked familiar until it clicked.
"Huh that son of a bitch." I said making Carter confused.
"What is it?" She asked.
"That's Connors' friends from the other packs. I remember because they tried to jump us one time but Elliott stopped them." I explained as she hummed in remembrance.
"Did he seriously go out of his way to try and torture us here too?" Carter asked rolling her eyes.
"Yeah but he forgot one thing and that was that Miss River isn't his mom nor his dad here anything that happens is far game." I said as I felt Carter gained a grin.
"What great thinking you do Emerson." She said chuckling as I rolled my eyes and did my work.
It made since now as to why he was bragging about me being gone because he thought he had won and had me cornered with his little goons.
"Well guess we have to keep an eye out now." Carter said as I nodded in agreement to her words.
Even if whatever happens on academy grounds was fair game I didn't want to take the chance that he had an ace up his sleeve somehow.
I heard laughing and snickering making me glance up to see his little friends staring at me with grins plastered on their faces.
They were planning something. I knew that for sure. I sighed and just continued on with my work hoping that I was wrong.
