Taylor POV
We were sitting down Emerson's pain staying the same as the nurse and professor finally stopped their conversation in order to address us until the headmaster came in.
She looked stern causing all of us to stand and greet her and then surprisingly Miss Knight was standing behind her.
"They must be here because they don't know who did it yet." Piper whispered to me making me nod.
I looked over at the bed where Emerson now laid unconscious due to being put to sleep. Her wolf was trying to fight them due to the pain as they were cleaning the wound.
"What happened here?" Miss River asked glancing over at the now sleeping Emerson.
"We had to sedate her. She was being..well her wolf was being aggressive due to pain." The nurse explained.
"So what happened to her? Who attacked her were they vampire or werewolf?" She asked as the professor looked uneasy.
"We don't know I left the room to talk to another staff member and when I came back in she was yelping in pain so I took her here." She explained and then Miss River's gaze turned to the nurse.
"She has 1st and 2nd degree burns. The 2nd degree burns have been dealt with but I found traces of pure silver on her skin which is what I believe to cause the 2nd degree burns. As for the first degree it was most likely the substance poured on her hand." She explained causing both headmasters to sigh.
"Do you think it was targeted?" Miss Knight asked as the nurse sighed.
"Yes I do. Based on the fact that everyone within that room refuses to say who did it." The nurse informed them.
I looked over at Emerson who was laying peacefully on the bed. Who would hurt Emerson? I thought to myself as I turned my attention back to the conversation.
"Well then all of them get detention until someone talks. Emerson can't go to class with a burned hand so no classes for her and.." She paused for a moment looking at us.
She looked to be thinking before sighing and then spoke.
"Taylor you and the others are to watch over her and whatever you do don't leave her alone. These werewolves or vampires will be allowed out during free periods and such so do your best. If you don't want to that's fine-"
"I'll do it." I said confidently as she nodded and sighed again.
"Then it's settled. Now we are going to go question them. Keep me posted." She said before leaving the room.
