Emerson POV

"You're sending my daughter to that school? For kicking your son's ass?" My father questioned angry as me and Elliott stared at them confused.

"Ray I need to send somebody and due to us being one of the packs in war with them that means we signed the treaty which means we have to it knocks out two birds with one stone." Rowen tried explaining.

"Father what is he talking about?" I asked softly concerned at his tone as he sighed.

"Riverwood Academy is what the northern packs and the vampires decided as some sort of peace between the two species. Where both species go to study under one roof which is Riverwood Academy." My father explained making my eyes go wide.

"Legally we have to send at least one pack member to the school in order for us to officially be apart of the agreement. So I choose that one pack member to be you." Rowen explained as I sat down in a nearby chair.

"What? No! That can't be. I go with her then." My brother said as our parents and Rowen looked at him.

"Elliott you can't. You are to be next beta due to pack rules you must study within the pack grounds." My father explained as Elliott glanced at me.

"What about Emerson? She's your daughter shouldn't she be allowed that same privilege?" He asked as Rowen and my father sighed my mother tearing up.

"Emerson isn't Ray's first born so even though she is his child she doesn't have that same right as she is not the heir to his title within the pack." Rowen explained as Elliott sat down next to me both of us in shock.

"Listen Emerson is the smartest and strongest wolf other than your parents, me, Kate, and you, plus she can't be harmed due to the agreement she will be fine." Rowen said softly to us as his attention turned to me.

"I know this is hard but it's the only way you can stay within the pack without my wife cutting off both our heads. I'm sorry it has to come to this but I knew Carter or you wouldn't have apologized for something when you did nothing wrong." He said mention both me and my wolf.

I knew he was right. My father's dad was friends with Rowen's dad making them decide to join their packs as a form of an alliance. Meaning both our bloodline and Conner's bloodline are alphas. So technically speaking he was right.

The only people that could beat us were other alphas which in retrospect is why Conner can't beat us because he took after his mother whose from a line of unranked wolves.

"I'll do it."
