Chapter 44: Worries

Her Little WolfWords: 1945

Taylor POV

I was in Piper and Valencia's dorm room as we were studying for an incoming test. She groaned as she threw down her notebook before glancing up at me.

"What's wrong?" She asked as I put down my own pencil with a sigh.

"I'm worried." I said as she sat up and listened intently.

"Why? Has something happened?" She asked as I shook my head.

"Today at breakfast the people who burned Emerson were giving her weird looks and Emerson just brushed it off." I said as she looked at me confused.

"Just brushed it off? What do you mean by that?" She questioned.

"I don't know I told her that they were starring and she glanced at them and just shrugged it off and then changed the subject." I explained as she sat there and thought about it.

"Maybe she just wants to forget about it I mean it's pretty traumatic event so I wouldn't want to talk about it either." She said trying to offer a reason but that just didn't make sense.

I mean I know that silver can hurt a wolf tremendously but that's all we know. We only know what the nurse told us and she's been avoiding talking about the whole thing.

"I've been being watched. I mean after it happened I always felt as if I was being watched. Plus I've seen them around the school watching not only me but Emerson as well." I said which made her eyes widen.

"They've been watching you? Why didn't you tell me?" She asked as I shook my head.

"That's not the point. I think they're planning something. Another attack maybe and I'm worried they might hurt her even worse." I said worry filling my whole body.

She stared at me for a moment before pulling me into a hug. She squeezed me tightly before speaking.

"It will be ok I promise. Emerson is strong. I'm sure that if it ever came down to it, if she ever needed it then we would help her." She whispered to me as I nodded.

"She'll be ok I promise you that." She whispered to me as she hugged me.

I hoped she was right just please be ok Emerson.
