Emerson POV
I walked through the path until I reached the house. For some reason I was nervous. Even though they were my family I was nervous.
"Little wolf." Valencia said her voice was calming as I glanced over at her.
"You got this." She whispered as I took a breath, nodded and, knocked on the door.
I heard someone running towards the door until the door flew open as my brother pulled me into a tight hug. My mom and dad followed behind him with smiles on their faces.
"I missed you so so much, emery." He said making me smile as he pulled me inside but stopped and sniffed me.
"You smell like a vampire." He whispered into my ear making me chuckle.
"I know." I said with a smile as he pulled away from my embrace and looked at me weird.
I sighed and grabbed Valencia's hand pulling her inside which made my entire family look at me with confusion.
"Mom, Dad, Elliott, this is my mate, Valencia." I introduced her as she set down our bags and put out a hand for them to shake.
"Valencia Thorne, pleasure to meet you all." She said nervousness in her tone as my father shook her hand first with a firm look.
"Your mate's a vampire?" Elliott said as he snuck over to me which made me smile.
"Yup and she's wonderful." I replied which made him smile.
"Well that's all that matters. Dad's going to grill her though." He said chuckling as I sighed.
"Of course he is." I grumbled as my mom hugged me.
"We're glad to have you back honey." She said to me with a smile that I returned.
We were talking for awhile about how school was and everything that happened with my arm before the front door slammed open and my eyes widened in shock of who it was.
"That is my surprise." Elliott whispered to me.
