Emerson POV
"What do you mean, Kate?" Uncle Ray asked confused.
"Well as alpha only you are to be in your office and you just said he answered the call for you so why was he in your office?" Kate asked.
"Well he is Ray's son so he's allowed to be in places in which his father owns." Samantha piped up putting enthuses on the word 'son' as Kate glanced at her. Her stare was plain but it held power which made Samantha tense up.
"Even if he is the 'son' of the alpha doesn't give him the right to be in places where he is not permitted. Not even I would dare go into my dad's office without him present it's an unspoken law." Kate countered back.
"So how did you know she was attacked?" Kate asked her gaze now turning to Connor who stood there still and unmoving.
"Because, headmaster River told me." He answered. His response seemed simple but Kate chuckled.
"That's a lie." Kate stated which made Uncle Ray's, Samantha's, and Connor's eyes go wide.
"Are you calling my son, the heir and future alpha a liar?" Samantha asked growling making Kate growl back.
"Do you start a fight you can't win Samantha. And to answer your question I am. Because no headmaster would tell an unranked wolf something that only the alpha should know." Kate growled back putting enthuses on the word unranked as she explained her response as Uncle Ray looked between the two woman probably noticing the tension between the two.
"Kate dear, what are you implying?" He asked gently which made Kate's eyes turn to him immediately softening.
"Father... I know he's your son and all. But your son has been doing this behind your back this being one of them. So tell our father Connor. Tell him how you really knew what happened." Kate said confronting him.
Uncle Ray looked confused as he turned his attention to Connor who looked like he could start a riot.
"Connor what is she talking about?" He asked gently.
He glanced at me. His eyes changed for a short but noticeable time as he glared at me. My brother ushered me behind him. As Connor's attention went to Uncle Ray.
"Connor?" Uncle Ray said again.
