Valencia POV
I ran straight into his way shoving him into a nearby tree my eyes activated as I snarled my fangs at him.
"How dare you try to attack my mate after what you've done." I said my voice deepened with anger as I kept my eyes on him.
My heart broke as I felt Emerson's fear all throughout my body. I quickly turned around and pulled her into a reassuring but gentle hug.
"You're alright little wolf. He won't hurt you anymore. Remember? I promised you that and I intended on keeping it." I whispered softly to her as she opened her eyes and hugged me tightly.
"Thank..you.." She whispered her voice cracking as she began to gently cry into my shoulder.
I turned my attention to the wolf that was laying against the tree. He was still breathing but I for sure knocked his wolf out. There was a woman hovering over him. Must be the mother.
"Who are you?" A man's voice asked. I turned my attention towards the voice. His voice was stern but gentle at the same time probably trying not to anger me more.
I forget that vampires when angered can be stronger than wolves.
"She's Valencia, Emerson's mate, they met at the academy. She was the one that saved Emerson from Connor's goons." Kate explained as I nodded in agreement to the words as I continued to comfort Emerson.
"So it is true..my son was the one that orchestrated the entire attack?" He asked me probably looking for confirmation.
"Yes. When I arrived on the scene of the attack. They were saying that Emerson had to pay the price for Elliott fighting with Connor. Saying that he gave them the silver in the first place." I explained answering his question.
He sighed looking hurt but angry as he turned his attention to his wife and son who were over by the tree.
"Samantha take Connor to the infirmary. I will meet you there to discuss what to do with our son." He said speaking to his wife. She glanced over her shoulder noticing his tone. She just nodded in defeat as she lifted him up and walked him into the pack house.
"As for you Emerson. I'm so sorry I didn't notice this treatment sooner. I was just so caught up in trying to make my wife happy but I instead ignored my entire pack because of it." He said apologizing to Emerson who glanced at him with redend eyes from crying.
"As for the rest of you. I will talk with you later but for now I must deal with my wife and son." He said as he walked away and into the pack house.
"I knew I liked you." Elliott said with a small smile breaking the silence as I held Emerson in my arms comforting her quietly.
