Carter POV
I woke up with the sun shining bright into my eyes as I tapped the spot where Valencia was supposed to be. I groaned as I rubbed my eyes as I sat up.
"You left control to me?" I asked as Emerson chuckled.
"Today is your day or at least for the morning or for how long you run for." She replied with a chuckle.
"Thank you Emerson." I said smiling as she chuckled.
"No need to thank me. Now have fun." She said softly as the link cut out as I stood up from the bed stretching my body as I yawned.
I looked around the room to see Valencia wasn't around. I went downstairs to see her in the kitchen waiting for me.
"You ready for our run? I made you some breakfast if you're hungry." She said softly as she pushed a plate of sausage and biscuits towards me.
I nodded and ate the food quickly as I really wanted to run with her. She chuckled as she watched me.
"Slowly down Carter. We have all morning." She said softly ruffling my hair.
I growled playfully as I stood up and put the plate in the sink as I wiped my mouth.
"Come on, come on. It's run time." I said happily as she chuckled and followed me outside as I led her to the forest.
"So do I transform now?" I asked her not knowing if she was ok with it.
"Go on Carter." She said with a smile.
I nodded nervously and slowly let myself go into my true form. Closing my eyes as my bones began to crack, twist, and turn slowly making my body from a human to a wolves.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at her to see her with a bright smile. She circled me admiring my form.
"You're absolutely beautiful Carter." She whispered.
"Aww hear that Carter. You're beautiful." Emerson said happily.
"Well go on your run." She said softly as I nodded and began to run through the forest she soon followed me running with her vampire speed.
I howled which made her laugh as we both chased after one another. The sounds of the wind and our laughter filled the forest as we ran together.
"Thank you for letting me do this Emerson." I told her as she chuckled probably watching what was happening.
"Don't thank me for letting you enjoy your time with our mate Carter." She said softly making me smile as I continued to run with our mate.
