Emerson POV
Today is the day.
Today was the day I was leaving for Riverwood Academy.
I stared at my mother, father, and brother with a smile as my mother cried silently.
"Mom I'll be ok." I whispered to her as I hugged her and she nodded and smiled at me.
"No I'm just so happy that you've grown so much going to an academy all alone." She said softly with a smile her blue eyes shining with happiness but worry.
My mom was always the worried one out of our parents very loving but also worried a tone despite the fact she's one of the most feared people in this pack.
"I'm going to be ok mama I promise." I told her as I hugged her as she quickly hugged me back tightly.
We released our hug as I hugged my father who hugged me as tight as a bear. I'm pretty sure he could've broken my back.
Then I turned to Elliott who smiled softly at me before hugging me.
"I'll miss you Emerson remember to call me if you need anything." He whispered to me I nodded at his words before backing away from the hug.
"Alright well I'm off I'll call you when I get there." I said as they all nodded my mom hugged my dad as they waved me their goodbyes while Elliott watched me leave following behind me as the pack wished me their goodbyes.
Alpha and his family bidded me goodbye last as I went into the car as my family smiled at me before the car drove off slowly leading me out of the pack territory.
I was admiring the forests beauty when I heard a growl within my mind. Carter was awake.
"That dirt bag is gloating about us being 'kicked out' in the pack link." She spoke as I chuckled.
"Well if he thinks that's the end of his problems just wait till his older sister comes back then he'll be in a whole new type of trouble." I replied to her as she chuckled.
We all knew that Kate, who is Conner's older half sister, was stronger than him. By a long shot. So that was going to be fun to see unfold especially when he believes he's next in line.
"Plus I don't care what he thinks if anything I'm glad to be away from him." I said as Carter agreed with me.
The mind link cut out after that as I leaned my head against the window and soon fell asleep for the rest of the car ride.
