"So what are you going to name him?"Cj asked as we looked over my baby in his incubator.
"Jahlan Carter Sikes"I responded smiling down at him.
"Hello Miss.Sikes, you are the mother correct?"The nurse asked me and I nodded.
"Yes that's me"
"Your baby boy is healthy. He is only four pounds though and he won't be able to leave until he is a full seven pounds"She explained to me.
"Okay, thank you"I told her
"Also have you thought of a name for him?"She smiled at me and I nodded.
I told her Jahlan's name and then I signed his birth certificate.
"Is the father present?"She asked me.
"Um-"
"Right here"I heard Pierce say from behind me "I'm his father"
The fuck...
"Well sign right here"She told him and he did.
The nurse left and I looked at Pierce with a mug.
"Thought I was a hoe,and that you weren't the father"I crossed my arms at him.
"I know what I said I was just scared Jayda. I'm just here for my son"He said looking over at Jahlan.
"I'm going to head out for a quick minute"Cj said coming up and hugging me.
"Okay talk to you later"I smiled up at him and left out of the hospital.
"So you and him a thing?"Pierce asked me and I rolled my eyes.
"That's nun of your business, you just need to be worried about Jahlan that's it and that's all"
He put his hands up in surrender and walked over to Jahlan.
"Heyyyy- Why the fuck is he here?"Havana said walking into my room.
"He just popped up"I shrugged.
"Oh so now he wanna play daddy? No ma'am he finna get his ass beat"Havana said trying to take her earrings off but Austyn stopped her.
He grabbed her arm and gave her a stare and she calmed down.
"It's okay imma get my one I promise I am"She said.
"Anyways, What y'all brought?"I asked looking at all the stuff they were holding.
"Oh we went out and spent bands on my God son,Since you had him before you could have your baby shower"She said holding up some bags from Gucci,Givenchy,True Religion,and Fendi.
"Damn, y'all really ain't have to do that"I said grabbing the bags that was in their hands.
"Uh uh girl don't do that, We know we ain't have to but we wanted to"Havana waved me off "I can't have my God son out here looking just any kind of way"
"Well thank you"I said and I went up to her and hugged her.
"When can you bring him home?"
"Not until he's seven pounds"I told her.
"Well your still having your baby shower I don't care"She said and I chuckled.
"But Havana he's already here. Plus not much people would show I'm not in the good graces of my family"
"Noo your not in the good graces of your fuck ass parents, not anybody else"She reminded me.
"Well if you want me to have a late baby shower then gone ahead"I just waved her off.
It wasn't no way in telling Havana no anyways, She was still going to do it no matter what I said.
"He is just so cute girl"Havana said smiling at Jahlan "And look at all that hair"She said all excited like.
"Thank you"I chuckled.
"Oou your genes are real good, too bad he still look like his bitch ass daddy"Havana said mugging Pierce and he returned the gesture.
"Havana be nice"I laughed at her.
"Not making any promises"She mumbled.
I just rolled my eyes and start cleaning up around the hospital room.
There was a knock at the door and in came my parents.
"Can we speak to our daughter privately?"My dad asked looking at everybody.
They all left out of the room and I sat on my bed. "What do y'all want?"I asked not really interested in what they had to say.
"Wow your baby is beautiful, what's his name?"My mom asked me.
"Jahlan"I answered dryly. "Again..Why are yall here?"
"We came here to talk"My mom said soothing out her pencil skirt.
"Talk about what? From my understanding you guys don't want anything to do with me"
"Look Jayda I know we said some things that weren't very nice...."My dad trailed off.
Oh wow you think.
"But we came here because we miss you and your our daughter and we love you"He said with sympathy in his eyes.
"Then why would y'all do what y'all did to me?"I asked getting teary eyed.
"We were just mad we never wanted our eighteen year old daughter to be pregnant."My mom answered.
"And again we deeply apologize"My dad continued.
"But think about it..."My mom trailed off.
"Think about what?"I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Are you sure your ready to be a mother?"
"Yes I am sure. I love my child with all my heart"I defended.
"Honey you almost lost him. Don't you think somebody else would do a better job with him"She said.
"What are you trying to say?"
"All we are saying is maybe you should give him up for adoption. Let a stable family raise him that's all"My dad replied.
"Are you kidding me? You want me to give my child up for adoption?"I said getting mad.
"Yes that's exactly what we are saying"My mom walked over and sat next to me "Then you can come back and live with us and be a successful person without having to put everything on pause for a baby"
I got up off of the bed and looked at the both of them like they were crazy "You two are officially crazy ass people, I will never in my life ever give my child up for adoption"
"Jayda your not fit to be a mother"My dad said.
"Yes I am! I will be the best mother ever to my child. I will love him do everything for him, I will give my child the world and it's nothing you or anybody else can say about it. I am fit to be a mother and I will be a better mother than you two wannabes"I snapped at them.
Jahlan woke up and started to cry. I walked over and picked him up and craddled him in my arms.
"Very well then just know that since your not giving him up for adoption, you are no longer to come around us again. That is not our grandchild and you are not our daughter"My dad said walking towards the door.
A tear escaped my eye as I looked down at my son.
"You brought this on yourself"My mom shrugged "I just feel bad for little Jahlan"
"Fuck the both of you"I snapped back.
"And by the way tell Cam to pack his things he is coming back to live with us"My dad said opening the door.
I just ignored them and kept trying to calm Jahlan down. As my parents walked out Cj walked in.
"Yo why was they here?"He asked pointing back. "Why you crying?"
"Do you think I'm fit to be a mother?"I asked him.
"Yes of course, Jayda what did they say to you?"
"I don't want to talk about, I'm just tired of people saying I'm not fit to be a mother. I know I'm just eighteen but I really am going to try my best with raising my son"I said and he walked over and picked my head up and wiped my eyes.
"Look fuck what everybody has to say. Your going to make a amazing mother to Jahlan, aight?"
I nodded and looked back at Jahlan. His eyes were still closed but he still managed to have a little smile on his face, my baby was so precious.
"I saw yo tired ass baby daddy"Cj said nonchalantly.
"Pierce? Yea he finally start claiming him"
"I see his punk ass. He better be lucky he's Jahlan father or I would've murked his dumbass"He said clenching his jaw.
"Yea well let's not do all of that"I said walking back over to the incubator and putting Jahlan back in since he fell back asleep.
"Anything for you"He smirked over at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't start"I said brushing past him.
"Start what? I don't know what your talking about"
"Yea yea whatever Cj"I said picking some shoes up off of the floor.

*A week later*
"Hey my nookie"I cooed at Jahlan as I lifted him up from his carseat.
Today was the day that I got to take him home and I was more than excited. My baby was actually eight pounds now. He didn't quite has his color yet, but his head was full of thick hair.
He opened his eyes and start looking around the room as I held him on my chest.
"Cam!"I yelled out but then I thought about it.
Cam went back with my parent's a couple of days ago. He didn't want to but I told him that I would try to get him back, I knew that taking my parents to court was going to be a problem but I didn't care I just wanted my brother back.
Tyron and Malinda could give up their parental rights,but of course they don't want to. I don't even know why they barely pay attention to him anyways.
*Knock Knock Knock*
I held Jahlan in my arms as I walked to the door I opened it and Havana and Jax was standing there with a bunch of bags and ballons.
"Heyyy"Havana smiled brightly.
"He-" I caught myself when I saw that she was talking to Jahlan and not me.
She took him out of my arms and start holding him.
"Well I guess it's forget me huh?"I said looking at her and she rolled her eyes.
"Girl now you know I've been waiting to hold my God Son"She said and I just looked over at Jax who was struggling to get all of the bag's through the door.
"Here let me help you"I laughed and walked over to help me.
"Thank you, Somebody was supposed to help me"He said eyeing Havana,but she just waved him off.
"Anyways hey bestie, I haven't seen you in so long"I said hugging him.
"I know right, I've just been tied up in my girlfriend"
"Girlfriend?"I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"Oh shit yea I have a girlfriend her name is Jasmine, I will introduce you two later on."He told me.
"How long have this been going on?"I asked and He looked up at the ceiling thinking about it.
"I would say about four months now"He shrugged putting the bag's on the ground.
"Oh My God Havana did you two buy out the whole goddamn baby stores, why all of this stuff?"I asked looking at all of the bag's of clothes and bibs and bottles with pacifiers.
"Okay so I would say we went a little overboard"She said walking over and sitting down with Jahlan "But I just wanted to go all out for my God son"
"There really isn't a point in a baby shower now, you have handled everything else it seems like"I said taking the bag's into Jahlan's room.
"Oh girl whatever, your having that baby shower I don't care what you say"She called out and I rolled my eyes.
This damn girl right here.
I walked back out into the living room and sat down next to Havana and took Jahlan out of her arms and she start pouting.
"This my son"I said and she flipped me off.
"More like mine you just had him hoe"She said sitting back "Anyways where is Pierce bitch ass?"
"He should be on the way over here, We gotta talk about days that he will have him. Also when I have to work I need baby sitters and all of that"I said.
"Well you know when I'm not at the club I can watch him, and so can Jax. I don't to much trust Pierce ass"
"Yea I can watch him if you need me too"Jax shrugged "Just let me know"
"Thank you Jax well thank you both that helps me a lot"I said smiling down at Jahlan who was staring back up at me with his big beautiful black eyes.
"Can you get that Havana?"I asked as somebody else knocked on the door.
She got up and opened it and Pierce was there. "I guess yo ugly ass can come in"She mugged him and he walked in.
"We gone be back girl, C'mon Jax"She said and Jax got up and walked out of the door with Havana.
"C'mon in"I said and Pierce came and sat by in on the couch. "Want to hold him?"I asked and he nodded.
I put Jahlan in his arms the right way and helped him hold him. "There you go"I chuckled.
"Damn this really my baby"He said looking down at him.
"Yea, Pierce tell me right now..Is you gone do right by him? Let me know now"I told him honestly.
"Yes Jayda imma do right by my son. I know I wasn't claiming him earlier but I am now I was kust scared then"He told me.
"Okay, and the baby shower next week so you and yo family can come"
"Aight, I'll let my moms know"He said playing with Jahlan's little fingers.
Jahlan start getting fussy and Pierce face started to get a worried look to it. I chuckled to myself and grabbed Jahlan.
"My baby just hungry"I cooed taking my boob out and letting Jahlan get comfortable.
Pierce was looking at me with a funny expression on his face. "What?"I rolled my neck at him.
"You just got yo titty out like that, it's weird"He said and I busted out laughing at him.
"Yea okay like you haven't seen it before"
"I'm just saying"He said sitting back and putting his hands up in surrender.
There was another knock on the door. "Pierce can you get that I'm kind of busy"I said and he got up to get the door.
"Yo where Jayda? Why you here?"I heard a deep voice say and I already knew who it was.
"She in here"Pierce said and let Cj in.
He came into the living room and looked at me with a mug and then back at Pierce.
"Jayda can you and little man go into your room"Cj ordered.
"But wh-"
"What I say?"He eyed me and I rolled my eyes and got up and went into my room.
After five minutes Jahlan was done so I burped him and just laid him on my chest so he could go to sleep.
Cj came into the room with a mug on his face. "You had to do that with that punk ass nigga in there?"
"My baby was hungry, whatchu want me to starve him?"I said getting up.
"No, but you had to pull yo muthafucking titty out in front of the nigga?"
"You buggin right now"I said walking out of the room and into Jahlan's.
"Oh I'm buggin? But you got yo titty out in front of yo baby daddy and ex the fuck"He said following me.
I rolled my eyes and huffed loudly "You done?"
"Man whatever I'm out"He threw his hands up and left out of the apartment.
I just sat there looking at him like he was crazy. I didn't see nothing wrong with it,but I guess there was.
"Imma just go"Pierce said and left out of the apartment as well.
I went and locked the door. I huffed and walked to the couch and plopped down and start watching reruns of Martin until I fell asleep.
