“What about you?” Luosang asked.

“Me?”

“Yujing, what is the project that you’re working on?” she said to him. “I heard that you’ve been working on a mysterious project. Is that true?”

“I get it. I’m not mad at you. I am a policewoman, so I can understand,” said Nian Xi. “You are doing the right thing not telling me.”

“I understand.” She stopped the car before a red light and continued by saying, “Because we are the same. Our jobs require us to contribute to our country.” She looked at him in the eyes.

Her black eyes glowed in the darkness, like the eyes of a cat. Jiang Yuning was nearly lost in those eyes. A short while later, he smiled shyly and said, “So, we’re such a good match.”
