“Didn’t she have fun playing with other dogs last time when we took her out for a walk?” Jiang Yuning said with confusion.

Nian Xi nodded and laughed. “She’s a playgirl. That’s why she kissed you last time. I wonder if Xiaosi will be jealous.”

“Baby Xi...” Jiang Yuning felt embarrassed, so he gave her a soft glare.

Luosang clicked her tongue silently. He was calling her ‘baby’ already. Their relationship seemed to have gone to a new level.

“Where’s my brother?” Nian Xi asked.

“In the baby’s room, playing with Apple.” Luosang shrugged helplessly.

Nian Xi understood that her brother was still upset.

As Nian Xi and Jiang Yuning went into the house, Nian Junting still didn’t come out of the baby’s room. With no other choice, Nian Xi took Jiang Yuning to the baby’s room to see her brother.

Apple was lying on the mattress. The little boy struggled hard but still couldn’t turn over by himself. Nian Junting poked his little butt and said, “You’re not Little Apple. You’re Little Dumbo. You’re so big already, but you still can’t crawl. Why didn’t you inherit any of my wisdom?”

Luosang glared at him and said, “He’s barely six-months-old. It would be amazing if he can roll over by himself. How can you make him crawl now? I don’t think you were able to crawl when you were a six-month-old baby.”

“I was certainly able to crawl when I was six-months-old.” Nian Junting argued with her saying, “My Grandma said that since I was a little baby, I’ve been smarter and stronger than ninety-nine percent of my peers.”

“I don’t believe your Grandma said that.” Luosang gave a cold smile.

Nian Xi snorted coldly and said, “I’m sure my Grandma didn’t say that.”

Nian Junting’s cold eyes landed on Nian Xi. “All you can do is be mean to your big brother. If I didn’t put down your robot that day, you might be lying in the hospital by now. Your apartment might have been gone.”

“Brother, I’m sorry.” Jiang Yuning hurriedly made a step forward and apologized sincerely. “This is a small gift as my apology.”

“It’s not another high-tech piece of yours, is it? I won’t accept it,” said Nian Junting coldly.

“It’s not...” It was the first time Jiang Yuning experience something like this. After all, he had never offered anyone a gift before. He turned to Nian Xi, looking for help.

Nian Xi took over the box, thrust it into Nian Junting’s arms and said, “He didn’t invent this. Take a look at it and then decide if you want it or not. I’ll bring it home with me if you don’t want it.”

Nian Junting knitted his brows, opened the box and glanced into it. He stared at what was in the box for more than ten seconds.

“What is it?” Luosang moved to him, curious to see what was inside the box.

Nian Junting immediately shut the box, proudly raised his chin and said, “It is an ordinary gift indeed, but I feel your sincerity. Besides, my little sister really likes you. So, I think I’m gonna take it.”

Nian Xi stayed silent.

He’s as shameless as ever, she thought.

“Thank you, brother.” Jiang Yuning was happy. “Don’t worry. About what happened earlier, I won’t let it happen again.”

Nian Junting nodded, scooped Apple up, stood up and said to him seriously, “Sometimes we can’t rely too much on machines. After all, machines are cold and lifeless. They can’t give your girl the care that she needs. What she’ll like more is you cooking for her with your own hands. It doesn’t matter if your food tastes good or not, that’s a way to express your love.”

“Emm.” Jiang Yuning nodded.

“If that kind of thing ever happened again, I would never let my sister be with you.” Nian Junting continued blandly saying, “But this time, I forgive you. Let’s get out for dinner.”
