Yan Su opened her mouth to protest but she held herself back.

She wasn’t familiar with him after all. He probably wouldn’t listen to her.

“Is your friend on good terms with her boyfriend?” Mo Liuxi asked as she was playing with her phone.

“Yeah, she is,” Yan Su answered as she scrolled through her social media account. “Her boyfriend is nice and he’s super good-looking too.”

“Superficial,” he said with mockery.

Yan Su was stunned and annoyed. “Yeah, I am superficial. What business is that of yours?”

“Not my business.”

The conversation ended there.

It was silence in the car for a long while after that. Yan Su prayed they would arrive at their destination soon. She didn’t want to get a ride from the neighbor again.

When they reached the mall, Yan Su said a curt ‘thanks’ before climbing out of the vehicle.

The whole way there, she was frustrated and grumpy. Her mood picked up slightly when she met up with Luosang. “You know, we have a new neighbor on our floor. He’s doing renovations.”

Luosang was surprised. “Oh really? I’m not sure about that. I was in An City after the exams. Is it very noisy?”

“They start early in the morning at eight.” Yan Su grimaced. “Probably a rich man’s son. He bought both units on our floor and connected the two apartments. Oh yea, he’s enrolled in our school as well, in the film production course. I heard he’s an overseas exchange student.”

“He must be pretty good.” Luosang smiled.

Yan Su sighed. “I am not so sure about that but he is definitely an arrogant and cocky man. He was over for free food and drinks last night and he was so self-righteous to tell me not to invite a stranger over. I thought he might start his renovation works later today after our meal together but he didn’t consider that at all. He acts so high and mighty, it’s quite annoying.”

Luosang was amused. “Sounds like an annoying man to me too, since he made you complain. You are one of the most well-tempered people I know. I was going to move back tonight but forget it. I don’t think I’ll go back.”

“You’re pregnant. Don’t come over, it’s too noisy.” Yan Su complained. “I don’t think Chi Shengxu will be prince charming in school in the upcoming semester.”

“Oh?” Luosang raised her brows. “Our neighbor is even better looking than Chi Shengxu?”

“Why are you so clever?” Yan Su smiled. “He is really handsome, like a little vixen. Oh yeah, and he resembles you quite a bit. Especially the way you eat. Wow. I was amazed at his appetite.”

“Enough. Stop teasing me. My appetite is not the same. I want to vomit every time I eat.” Luosang felt sick thinking about how much she threw up from her previous meal.

“Hasn’t it been three months already?”

“Maybe I am just more sensitive.” Luosang shrugged.

“You said you were going to buy Mr. Nian a birthday gift. What are you planning to get?” Yan Su was walking around the mall with her.

“Not sure. Do you have any ideas?” Luosang said, looking around.

It was tacky to buy him shoes or clothes. Watches were too expensive and he wouldn’t like the cheap ones.

“He will probably be the happiest if you are the present,” Yan Su blurted out.

“I’m talking about dressing up in a sexy way and presenting yourself to him as a present.” Yan Su gestured suggestively. “You can find a large box and put it in the room. You can hide in the box when he takes a shower. When he opens the box, you can be dressed skimpily laying there and he will be thrilled.”
