An Ning cried in an injured voice.
Mo Liuxi had said mean words to her before, but this time, it was different.
Suddenly, she saw Yan Su and Chi Shengxu walk over together, laughing and chatting.
She wiped her tears, walked up to Yan Su, blocked her way and said to her, âYan Su, do you like Liuxi?â
âWhat?â
Yan Su was so shocked that her mouth was open wide.
Looking at the angry little girl, she was a little worried. This girl didnât find out that Iâve slept with Mo Liuxi, did she?â
âI donât,â she said.
An Ning observed her face, then said unhappily, âWhy did you tell him that it was you who made the congee? He thinks that I lied to him. Thatâs not what I meant. Last night he had a fever. I just wanted him to have some of my congee, so I didnât mention you to him. Plus, I was helping, wasnât I? Now he thinks Iâm a liar.â
She started to cry. âWhat did I do wrong? I donât know how to make congee, but Iâm trying my best to learn. Iâll do anything for him.â
Yan Su sighed with relief. It was only because of the congee.
She still felt wronged, though.
âAll right. Stop crying.â She handed An Ning some tissue and said, âI didnât tell him anything. I even spoke for you this morning. He figured it out himself.â
âHow could he possibly figure it out?â An Ning took the tissue, raised her head, and looked at Yan Su with a pair of watery eyes. Her eyes were filled with distrust.
Yan Su felt the blame fall upon her. âI met him this morning, and I told him that youâre great. I told him that you even hurt your hand to make congee for him. I told him to cherish you. How am I supposed to know that you lied to him?â
An Ning argued saying, âI have told you that I didnât lie on purpose. He was ill. I couldnât tell him all the details, could I?â
Yan Su felt annoyed. âAll right. Itâs my fault, okay? I shouldnât talk to him at all. From now on, I wonât say a single word about whatever is going on between you and him. Iâm older than both of you. How can I be fond of my best friendâs younger brother, whoâs also a junior schoolmate of mine? Can you please stop making assumptions?â
She then walked away from An Ning to order food.
Chi Shengxu glanced at An Ning and laughed. âThat girl is young but fierce.â
Yan Su shrugged. âHow can a girl not be fierce if she wants to be with Mo Liuxi? The other few girls from your department are as innocent as a piece of unwritten paper.â
Chi Shengxu shrugged and responded with, âYouâre right though. I think you should better stay away from her. You are a public figure now. Donât bring trouble to yourself because of them.â
âEm, Iâm aware of that.â Yan Su nodded.
â¦
Mo Liuxi sat under a tree in the playground, thinking about An Ning. He found that she was dishonest and she always lied.
Yan Su was different. She told his sister that he liked to look at dirty photos, but that didnât make him dislike her as much as he disliked An Ning.
Also, Yan Su felt guilty after doing bad things.
An Ning wouldnât. On the contrary, she always made herself sound very reasonable, meaning that she was born that way.
No matter how much time he spent with her, he wouldnât like her.
Besides⦠she probably lied about that night too. The idea flashed across Mo Liuxiâs mind.
He immediately stood up, and drove to the club, as if he just saw a gleam of hope.
In the club, he talked to the manager and told him that he lost his wallet in the club that night and asked to see the surveillance video.
A large club wouldnât normally show the surveillance videos to the guests.
