âA hundred thousand,â Davin answered.
âWhat? A hundred thousand? Are you a robber?â Skyler exclaimed.
âA hundred thousand is a very fair price. If you donât believe me, just ask them if they paid me that amount.â Davin pointed at the people on the dance floor. âIâm not asking you for more because Iâm a fair person.â
âYou asked them to pay you? Arenât they your friends?â
Davin smiled. âEven siblings separate matters of family and business, let alone friends. Besides, Iâm the one providing the venue. They should thank me with their money. Now, are you going to pay for it or not? If youâre not, then go away!â
Skyler stared at the people who were partying like crazy as he calculated the fee Davin had collected so far. From what he was told, it became apparent to him that Davin was already making a lot of money.
No wonder this guy wants to live here for a whole month! Heâs basically treating the underground palace as a money tree! No, I canât let him get away with this. He swiftly formulated a plan in his mind before giving Davin his credit card.

Once a hundred thousand was extracted from his card, he wandered into the middle of the dance floor and coughed into the microphone twice.
At once, all of Davinâs friends had their attention directed to the newcomer.
âWhoâs that?â
âI donât know. Maybe a new friend of Davin?â
âMay I have your attention, everyone? I have something to say,â Skyler announced.
âWhat do you want to say?â
âYeah, what are you trying to say?â
They all looked at him curiously.
âI just want to say that this place youâre standing on right now belongs to me. Once Davin leaves, itâll still be mine. So, if you want to come here often, you have to establish a good friendship with me. In fact, once Davin leaves, instead of the hundred thousand heâs currently charging you, all of you will only need to give me eighty thousand to come back here!â

Davinâs assistant approached them and stoked the flame. âThatâs right! Heâs just looking down on all of you! Some of you are general managers, while the rest of you are CEOs! Even if the entry fee was two hundred thousand, all of you wouldnât have batted an eye when you paid! This bit of money heâs discounting is practically pocket change for all of you!â
âYouâre right! This guy is just insulting us!â
âThatâs right. Twenty thousand is nothing. Iâm not short on money at all.â

âYou better get out of here now and stop ruining our fun. Our happiness is more important and worth more than twenty thousand! Hell, if Davin had asked us to pay ten million instead, we wouldâve given it to him happily! Happiness weighs more than gold. Am I right, guys?â

The crowd started trying to chase Skyler away under Davinâs provocation.
Seeing that there was no point in sticking around, Skyler walked over to Davin and stretched out his hand.

âGive me back my money! Iâll leave once you do!â
Davin grinned as if he were looking at a clown. âAre you stupid? You gave me your money willingly, and now youâre leaving willingly. Why should I return your money? Besides, donât you think you should pay a little price for causing trouble here? Iâm warning youâif you pull any tricks again, Iâll make sure you regret it! Iâll show you just how capable I am!â
