Chapter 6: la quinceanera

Mamá drove Nadia, Samu and I to Marina where Ander and Chris were waiting for us. Luckily, she didn't know what happened between Ander and Nano. Otherwise she wouldn't let me go anywhere with him. When I didn't see her anymore, I pulled Ander closer to me and kissed him gladly.

„Hey, baby."

„Are you always doing that in public?", Nadia looked at us shyly.

„It's just a kiss, Nad", I told her softly and pulled them with me.

Ander told them about the reason for the party and when everyone found someone to talk to, him and I got some alcohol.

„Can you tell me why you brought that guy to this party?", Guzman asked my boyfriend from behind.

„You were the one who invited the girl."

„This is my house, Ander."

„He wanted to come badly, you know that. Calm down. Plus, your fight against the new students is stupid."

„My fight is stupid? Samuel is already trying to talk to my sister because of our money."

„Are you being serious, Guzman? He's my brother. No one's talking to you like that."

„I've talked to Ander, not you."

„Leave her alone, Guzman."

„Man, you let her make you her lapdog. But I forgive you because you're completely drunk but I would never betray you two like you two do, never", Guzman was being really serious, how ridiculous is that.

„What are you even talking about? Man, where's the beer?", Ander turned around to go somewhere else but I turned back to Guzman speaking to him quietly.

„Stop that, alright? Think about it again. About what we've done for you already. You're never going to help him like we helped you so please, just have a little respect."

The party went on, everybody was having fun. I noticed Marina flirting with Samu and Chris dancing with Carla. They were all around Ander and I who were dancing to the music, too. Well, at least until he threw up ruining Lu's skirt. I can tell you, I haven't laughed like that in a long time. After she's treated Nadia so bad, it didn't hurt her to get some bad karma.

„I've asked mamá if she could pick me up", Samu told me.

„What happened?"

„Nothing-"

„Samu!"

„Nano and I drove here yesterday and graffitied the wall. Did you know they had security cameras here?", he finally admitted.

„Wait, is that why you've let yourself be photographed with Marina's papá?", I finally understood why he would let them do that, „You're right, it's probably best if we leave."

„You", Guzman stormed out of the house furiously, his voice was loud, „You get a scholarship and that's how you appreciate it?"

„Guzman!", Marina and I both shouted angrily.

„By destroying other people's property? You disgust me!", he still went on.

„What's going on her?", Nano, oh no, walked over to Guzman fast.

„Who are you?", Guzman looked at him conceitedly, „How many more lowlives are running around here tonight?"

„Guzman, that's enough!", I yelled feeling offended, „Don't talk about my brothers like that."

„Don't mess with that. You don't even realize how they impact you. They're bad for you, for Marina, for everyone!"

„I can beat that compliment into your face", Nano replied to him.

„The only one who is bad, is you! Do you even listen to what you're saying? Don't you remember what your friends have done for you? And you dare to talk about my family like that? This is not about money Guzman, we both know that this is about someone called Pablo!"

„Em", Polo hissed at me knowing all too well that that was his weakness.

Suddenly Guzman raised his hand looking as if he wanted to slap me. Luckily, Ander and Nano stepped in just before his hand hit my cheeks.

„I won't let that snob talking to us like that. And don't dare to even look at my sister!"

I've never seen Nano so upset, he had pulled me behind him.

„Everything that I'm saying is the truth."

„Short question. How do you call people who save millions of euros for themselves that don't belong to them to live a lifestyle like yours? Crooks or just bastards?"

Guzman laughed for a moment, „You dare to come here and insult my family and I? Who do you think you are, asshole?"

He was about to hit Nano now but my brother was faster pushing him into Polo's arms.

„You don't deserve my brother and my sister. Come on, we're leaving."

Without even looking at Ander, Polo or Marina anymore, I followed my older brother.

„Are you still or again dating that guy?", Nano sighed heavily when we were at home and Samu already in the apartment.

„Don't tell dad, please", I whispered guiltily, „Still."

„You were hiding for three years?"

„I love him, Nano and he feels the same."

„I'm surprised of his reaction tonight. I won't tell your dad about it for now."

„Muchas gracías, Nano. Te quiero, hermano."

„Te quiero, pequena."
