As Vaidehi lay sleeping peacefully, Viyansh took a moment to quietly slip away and change into more comfortable attire. Once dressed, he returned to Vaidehi's side, who remained peacefully asleep. Sitting beside her, he found himself captivated by her serene expression. As he watched her, she stirred slightly, her eyelids fluttering as she attempted to awaken.
Viyansh: "Jaan"
As Vaidehi's eyes fluttered open, a tender smile graced her lips upon seeing Viyansh beside her. With his gentle assistance, she shifted into a more comfortable position. Viyansh, his palm warm against her cheek, gazed at her with concern and care as he inquired about her well-being.
Viyansh: "How are you feeling now?"
Vaidehi: "Better."
Viyansh: "Is it painful?"
Vaidehi: "No, Ansh, it's just a minor cut, and you gave me an injection."
Vaidehi's playful pout elicited a smile from Viyansh
Viyansh: "Sorry."
She giggled and said.
Vaidehi: "I'm kidding."
Viyansh: "Hmm."
Vaidehi: "Ansh, you look worried. Who was that girl?"
Viyansh: "We'll talk about it later, Biwi. You freshen up first."
Vaidehi: "No, Ansh, tell me right now."
Viyansh: "Jaan, listen, we..."
Vaidehi: "Ansh, now."
He sighed deeply, then drew in a long breath, gathering his resolve. Tenderly, he took her hands in his, locking eyes with her as he prepared to speak.
Viyansh: "She's Shruti, the same girl I mentioned to you yesterday."
Vaidehi: "What?"
She was taken aback, her surprise evident in her widened eyes, while Viyansh lowered his gaze.
Vaidehi: "But you said she's in London."
Viyansh: "She works as a PA for one of our clients, and she's here for business purposes."
The stress and nervousness were palpable on his face, evident even to Vaidehi's keen perception.
Vaidehi: "Ansh aap fikar kyu karte hai?? Hum sath hai na vo kuch nahi kar sakti hai. (Ansh, why are you worrying? We're together, she can't do anything.)"
Viyansh: "She was very angry upon finding out that you are my wife. But believe me, Jaan, whatever I told you yesterday, that's the truth."
As Vaidehi stretched her arms towards Viyansh with a gentle smile, he couldn't help but be drawn to her warmth and reassurance. The tension in his expression melted away as he embraced her, seeking solace in the rhythm of her heartbeat. Vaidehi, sensing his need for comfort, gently rubbed his back, silently conveying her support and understanding.
Viyansh: "Thank you Biwi, tum nahi janti tumne mere liye kya kiya hai mujhpe bharosa karke. (Thank you, Biwi. You don't know what you've done for me by trusting me.)"
Vaidehi: "Aap par bharosa nahi karti toh pyaar karti hai kya Ansh. (If I didn't trust you, would I love you, Ansh?)"
He glanced at her and a smile graced his lips.
Viyansh: "How do you always manage to calm me down?"
Vaidehi leaned in and planted a gentle peck on his lips, catching him off guard with a widening of his eyes.
Vaidehi: "Aise karti hu main aapko Calm. (That's how I calm you.)"
Viyansh: "Then do it properly. "
Viyansh drew her closer, causing her to tumble onto him, and then he deftly shifted their positions. With Vaidehi now beneath him, Viyansh loomed over her, their gazes locked in a tender exchange.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, what's this for?"
Viyansh: "It's my way of expressing gratitude."
He buried his face in her neck, peppering it with gentle kisses. Vaidehi responded by placing her hands on his shoulders, and a soft giggle escaped her lips as his affectionate gestures tickled her.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, aapki beard chubh rhi hai mujhe. (Ansh, your beard is poking me.)"
Viyansh: "Oh, really?"
Vaidehi: "Ahh, haa."
He continued to nuzzle his face against her neck and cheek, planting more soft kisses along the way. Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle at the ticklish sensation, enjoying the playful affection exchanged between them.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, please stop."
He paused, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Viyansh: "Okay, I'll shave it."
Vaidehi: "Nooo."
Her sudden exclamation startled him.
Viyansh: "Why? Just now you said it pricks you."
Vaidehi: "Yeah, but I like it. You look good in that."
Viyansh: "Is it?"
Vaidehi: "Yeah."
Viyansh: "You know what I like nowadays?"
Vaidehi: "In me?"
Viyansh: "Yeah."
Vaidehi: "I know, I know, this mole below my lips."
She licked her lips as she spoke. He responded with a peck on her lips and said.
Viyansh: "no ye toh purani baat hai (No, that's an old thing.)"
Her confusion was evident as she tried to make sense of his words.
Vaidehi: "Toh phir?? (Then what?)"
Viyansh: "Now I like your hot legs and sexy waist."
Vaidehi: "Ohhh."
Surprised by her unexpected reaction, he sought clarification with a curious tone.
Viyansh: "Aren't you feeling shy now?"
Vaidehi: "No, why should I? Now that you have seen me fully, why should I feel shy?"
Viyansh: "Come on, there's a lot for me to explore, and you are saying that."
Her boldness contrasted with his surprise, and his response caused her cheeks to flush with embarrassment. Yet, she didn't let that stop her from expressing her affection, pulling him into a tight embrace that elicited laughter from him.
Viyansh: "So, you were trying to act bold?"
Vaidehi: "Yeah, and you ruined it."
Viyansh: "Because you're not good at acting bold."
Vaidehi: "Shut up."
Viyansh: "Sure."
Vaidehi: "Arghhh!"
She gently pushed him away and attempted to get off the bed, but the sudden movement made her feel a bit dizzy. Concerned, he hurried to her side, offering support as she settled back down on the bed.
Viyansh: "Are you okay?"
Vaidehi: "Haa baba, relax."
Her smile lingered as she made her way to the washroom. After finishing their dinner, they retired to their bedroom.
At 4 in the morning, the sound of knocking on their bedroom door roused Viyansh from his sleep. Vaidehi, being a heavy sleeper, remained undisturbed, her head resting gently on his chest. With a sleepy groan, Viyansh stirred and carefully shifted her head onto the pillow before getting up to answer the door. Rubbing his eyes to clear away the remnants of sleep, he opened the door to find Vikram and Vihaan standing outside.
Viyansh: "Papa, Vihu, you guys at this time? Weren't you coming back tomorrow evening?"
Vikram: "Viraj informed us about what happened in the office."
Vihaan: "How did she end up here, bhai?"
Vikram: "Forget all that, how's Laddo? Is she alright? Viraj mentioned she got hurt because of Shruti."
Viyansh: "Yeah, she mistook her for some random employee sitting in my chair and dragged Vaidehi, resulting in her getting hurt."
Viyansh spoke with a hint of pain in his voice.
Vikram: "Is she okay?"
Viyansh: Yeah, just a minor cut on her forehead.
Vihaan: "Sorry, bhai, but can we see Dahi?"
Viyansh: "Yeah, she's sleeping."
Vikram: It's okay, don't wake her up, let her sleep.
Viyansh: "she's a kumbhkaran papa, nahi uthegi aapki laddo. (She's a heavy sleeper, Dad, she won't wake up.)"
Vikram and Vihaan chuckled at his remark, and he smiled.
Vihaan: "Alright, bhai, we'll catch up in the morning."
Viyansh: "You guys should also get some rest."
After bidding farewell to Vikram and Vihaan, Viyansh returned to their room, where he gently settled Vaidehi back into his arms. Holding her close, they both found solace in the warmth and security of each other's presence, drifting back into a peaceful slumber.
The following morning, after waking up and preparing himself, Viyansh contemplated making a nutritious breakfast for his wife. Glancing at Vaidehi, who slept soundly while cuddling her teddy bear, he couldn't help but smile before making his way downstairs. However, upon reaching the final step, he was taken aback by the surprising sight that greeted him.
Shruti sat there, patiently waiting for him, surrounded by the other Singhania men.
Viyansh: "Shruti"
He approached the group, and Shruti rose to her feet, facing him.
Shruti: "Oh, finally, you are here."
Viyansh: "Listen..."
Shruti: "You listen to me first. How dare you, Viyansh? How dare you break your promise? You h..."
Her words were cut short by Vaidehi, who descended the stairs, her eyes flashing with anger.
Vaidehi: "He didn't break any promise, Miss Sharma."
She placed herself firmly between Viyansh and Shruti, serving as a protective barrier, her stance resolute and unwavering.
Shruti: "Oh, please, you don't know anything, so don't interrupt."
Vaidehi: "I know everything."
The revelation left everyone present shocked, as they hadn't anticipated Vaidehi's knowledge of the situation.
Shruti: "You know?
Vaidehi: "Yes, I know."
Shruti: "And still you married him. You know that he promised my mother to marry me and still..."
Vaidehi: "He didn't promise any such thing. He promised to look after you and take responsibility for you, and I guess he fulfilled that by bearing your expenses."
Shruti: "Are you out of your mind, woman? Viyansh, how could you?"
She shouted.
Vaidehi: "Don't you dare raise your voice at my husband."
Shruti: "Whom you snatched, right?"
Vaidehi: "No, whom you used for your financial stability."
Shruti: "What the hell, do you even know what he has done to my mother?"
Vaidehi: "He hasn't done anything to your mother; it was just an accident."
Shruti: "Oh yeah, killing someone is an accident, right?"
Vaidehi: "Shut up, just shut up."
She glanced back at Viyansh, whose face betrayed a palpable sense of guilt. His hands trembled with the weight of memories, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as the incident replayed in his mind. Vaidehi swiftly reached out, clasping his hand in hers for support and reassurance.
Vaidehi: "I think you should leave right now."
Shruti: "You guys have to pay for this.
Vaidehi: We're already paying by carrying your burden, now leave."
She stomped her foot in frustration before storming off. Vikram approached Viyansh, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, offering words of solace in the wake of the tense encounter.
Vikram: "Relax, bachcha, you didn't do anything."
Viyansh: "It was all my fault, papa."
Vihaan: "No, bhai, it's not like that. It was an accident."
Viyansh: "Yeah, an accident caused by me."
He swiftly departed towards his room, his mind filled with turmoil. Meanwhile, Vikram remained seated on the sofa, his head cradled in his hands, deep in thought. Vaidehi and Vihaan flanked him, offering silent support on either side.
Vaidehi: "Papa don't worry he'll be alright. "
Vikram: "Laddo you can't even imagine his state, the sight of him 9 years back is still fresh in my mind. I just can't see my son again in that state. "
Vaidehi: "Nothing Will happen papa, I'll handle him don't worry okay?"
Vikram: "Never leave his side bachcha please. "
She smiled and placed her hand on his.
Vaidehi: "Never. Now don't you worry I'll go and handle him."
He smiled and she left from there. Vikram embraced Vihaan, finding solace in their shared understanding. Meanwhile, Viraj and Virat, still in their youth, stood there clueless, unaware of the complexities of the situation.
Viraj: "Papa, what happened to Viyansh Bhai? And what's this about 9 years?"
Virat: "Yeah, we need to know what's going on."
Vihaan: "Let's go inside first. We can discuss it there."
Vikram: "No, Vihaan, she's here now. We need to tell them everything."
Vikram proceeded to explain everything to Viraj and Virat.
Vaidehi entered the room to find Viyansh seated on the couch, his posture reflecting the weight of his emotions. Concern etched on her features, she approached him, gently moving his hands away from his face to reveal the glistening of tears in his eyes. Despite the pang in her heart at the sight, she chose to focus on comforting him. With a tender resolve, she settled onto his lap, intertwining their hands as she rested her arms around his neck. A soft kiss planted on his forehead elicited a faint smile from him, a glimmer of solace in the midst of turmoil.
Vaidehi: "Kyu yaad kar rahe hai vo sab? (Why are you remembering all that?)"
Viyansh: "Kaise bhool jau, Everything Shruti said downstairs felt like it was happening all over again right before my eyes. (How can I forget?)"
Vaidehi: "Achcha vo sab yaad hai, main lad kar aayi vo aapke liye us chudail se vo yaad nahi hai. (Alright, you remember all that. But what I fought for, what I did for you against that witch, you don't remember that?)"
Viyansh's gaze met Vaidehi's, and a gentle chuckle escaped his lips.
Viyansh: " You can't call her a Chudail, Jaan. (Witch)"
Vaidehi: "Anyone who tries to hurt you, I'll call them a witch, and if necessary, I'll definitely deal with them."
Viyansh: "Calm Down biwi Jaan leave her."
He uttered with a light chuckle.
Vaidehi: "Bahaut tarafdari kar rahe hai us chudail ki. Jaiye phir. (you're praising that witch too much. Fine then, go.)"
She got up from his lap with an angry expression, but he pulled her back and enveloped her in his arms.
Viyansh: "Kaha chali meri jaan, achcha I'm sorry. (Where are you going, my love? Alright, I'm sorry.)"
Vaidehi: "No, main nahi manungi. (No, I won't accept it.)"
With her arms crossed over her chest, she averted her gaze from him, still visibly upset. He leaned in to press a gentle kiss on her cheek, his way of expressing remorse once more.
Viyansh: "Sorry, na baba."
Vaidehi: "No."
Viyansh: "Alright, I'll do whatever you say."
Vaidehi: "Anything?"
Viyansh: "Yes."
She placed a finger on her chin, pretending to ponder, while he chuckled softly and nestled his face into her neck.
Viyansh: "You're still such a kid."
Vaidehi: "Yes. Now listen, you'll take me for a movie date this weekend, then dinner, followed by ice cream, and plenty of my favorite hugs."
Viyansh: "bas itna hi? (Is that all?)"
Vaidehi: "For now, yes."
Viyansh: "Done."
He pulled her closer to him, playfully nipping at her cheek. She giggled and rubbed her cheek.
Vaidehi: "Ahh, why do you always bite my cheeks?"
Viyansh: "Because your chubby cheeks are my favorite."
Vaidehi: "Haww, are you calling me fat?"
Viyansh: "No, baba, I'm saying that my little wifey is too cute to handle."
She theatrically hid her face in her palm and said
Vaidehi: "Isshhhh, mujhe sharam aati hai. (I feel shy)"
He chuckled at her dramatics and then planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Viyansh: "How smartly you distracted me, right?"
Vaidehi: "I know, I'm too smart."
Viyansh: "Drama queen, alright, now go and freshen up, then I'll change your bandage."
Vaidehi: "Nahane Jana padega? (Do I have to take a shower?)"
With a playful pout, she voiced her playful protest.
Viyansh: "Utha ke le jau? (Shall I carry you there?)"
He replied with a mischievous smirk dancing on his lips.
Vaidehi: "Jaa rhi hu. (I'm going.)"
She retorted, shooting him a glare.
Viyansh: "And ye mera sleepyhead khud kaise uth gaya?? (And how did my sleepyhead wake up by herself??)"
Vaidehi: "You know I can't sleep without you, yet you leave me alone in bed."
Viyansh: "Sorry."
Vaidehi: "No sorry, just drop me to the washroom."
Viyansh: "As you wish, your highness."
He chuckled as she giggled, lifting her effortlessly in his arms and carrying her to the washroom. A smile played on his lips as he watched her disappear inside, feeling a warmth in his heart.
Viyansh: "I know you did all this drama to distract me, and I promise my past will never interfere with our present and future, Jaan."
After getting ready, Viyansh carefully changed Vaidehi's bandage, ensuring her comfort. They descended the stairs together, engaged in conversation and exchanging smiles. Vikram, noticing their united front, felt a sense of relief wash over him. Vaidehi reassured him with a reassuring blink of her eyes. Soon, everyone gathered around the dining table, ready to enjoy their breakfast together.
Vikram: "How are you laddoo?"
He asked, gently touching her wound.
Vaidehi: "I'm perfectly alright Popsy."
Vihaan: "Papa, she's a strong girl, nothing can hurt her, m I right dahi?"
Vaidehi: "Absolutely bhai."
Vikram: "Ok listen, Mr. Malhotra and a few of my friends were asking about you both, so I'm thinking of throwing a reception party for you. Are you guys okay with that?"
Vaidehi couldn't contain her excitement and leaped up from her seat, her enthusiasm evident in her movements as she practically bounced with joy.
Viyansh: "Calm down yaar Biwi"
Vaidehi: "Shut up, and Popsy it's a great idea. "
Virat: "Woww papa that's a fantastic idea! Finally, their reception party."
Viraj: "Exactly, me and Virat have planned a lot for that, but Bhai's stubbornness didn't let us do anything."
Vaidehi's glare bore into Viyansh as she stood with her hands firmly planted on her hips, a stance meant to convey her seriousness and authority. Her voice carried a stern tone as she addressed him.
Vaidehi: "Why are you so stubborn, Ansh?"
As Viyansh prepared to respond, Viraj and Virat's laughter interrupted the moment.
Vaidehi: "What?"
Viraj: "Bhabhi Maa, even when you try to look intimidating, you end up looking cute."
Vaidehi lowered her hand, her stern expression melting into a pout.
Vaidehi: "So you guys never get scared of me?"
Virat: "Not even in dreams, sweetie pie."
She then grabbed Vikram's hand, coaxing him to stand up.
Vikram: "What are you doing, Laddo?"
Vaidehi: "Wait."
She then took his hands and placed them on his waist, prompting him with a question.
Vaidehi: "Popsy, will you scold them on my behalf?"
Vikram chuckled but then cast a stern look at Virat and Viraj before saying.
Vikram: "Dare you both trouble my daughter."
Viyansh stood up and playfully tapped her on the head, eliciting a pout from her.
Viyansh: "Sab nautanki karti hai papa ye. (She just does drama)"
Vikram: "I said anybody who will trouble my daughter will have to bear my anger."
She giggled at Viyansh and once again placed her hands on her waist.
Vaidehi: "Now tell me, are we going to have our reception this week??"
He playfully tapped her on the nose and said with a grin.
Viyansh: J"aisa tum kahogi vaisa hi hoga. (Whatever you say, darling.)"
She grinned.
Vikram: "Done then this Friday is your reception. "
Vaidehi: "Yeahh, Ansh chaliye shopping jaate h. (Ansh, let's go shopping.)"
Viraj: "Bhabhi maa, not today please kal chale hume bhi chalna hai. (not today, please. Let's go tomorrow; we also want to come along.)"
Vaidehi: "Okay done."
So, after they all went to their respective offices except Vihaan, who headed to his study room, Vaidehi came there.
Vaidehi: "Ahaan bhai, I want to talk about something really important with you."
Vihaan: "Yeah, come sit."
Both of them sat on the couch.
Vaidehi: "Bhai, I'll come directly to the point. I don't think it was an accident."
Vihaan: "Are you talking about Shruti and her mom?"
Vaidehi: "Yes, bhai."
Vihaan: "Why do you think so?"
Vaidehi: "Ansh told me everything, but I feel something is missing in all this. Also, look at Shruti, she's constantly trying to make Ansh feel guilty. She's fixated on just one thing, and the way she was speaking, it seemed like she's trying to convince herself rather than others."
Vihaan: "I agree with you, dahi. Even I thought the same, and I studied that accident case, but didn't find anything."
Vaidehi: "Do you have that file? Can I see it?"
Vihaan: "Sure."
Vihaan gave her the file, and she looked at it. After some time, she found something.
Vaidehi: "Bhai, look at this."
Vihaan looked at what she was showing and was shocked.
Vihaan: "How did I miss this?"
Vaidehi: "Let's delve into this matter again."
Vihaan: "Done."
