Viyansh had been informed of Vaidehi's attendance at her friend's mehendi ceremony, prompting him to head straight there from his office. Upon arrival, he found the venue bustling with activity as guests indulged in dinner. Amidst the sea of people, he scanned the room in search of his wife until his gaze locked onto her. Vaidehi sat gracefully amidst her friends, her hands adorned with intricate henna designs being delicately applied by a skilled artist. Her attire exuded elegance, as she donned a pristine white lehenga adorned with a lavish golden embroidered border. The fabric hugged her figure exquisitely, accentuating her grace and poise. A verdant green dupatta cascaded from her waist to shoulder, veiling her chest with a subtle allure, adding a touch of vibrancy to her ensemble. Vaidehi's hair was meticulously styled into a flawless French braid, cascading down her right shoulder with effortless grace. Each strand seemed to fall into place with perfection, enhancing her natural beauty. Viyansh couldn't help but be utterly captivated by her stunning appearance, as she exuded an aura of elegance and charm that left him completely awestruck amidst the festivities.
Viyansh POV,
I couldn't help but admire my stunning wife today; she looks absolutely breathtaking. However, my immediate focus should be on apologizing to her for the salad fiasco and the unfortunate incident with her phone. Unaware of her current location, I called her driver for details. Upon reaching her, I sent the driver back. She was deeply immersed in conversation with her friends, completely unaware of my presence. Seeing an opportunity to playfully tease her before offering my apology, I decided to sneak up on her from behind and give her a little scare. However, just as I was about to approach her, the words of her friends captured my attention, causing me to pause and listen in.
Girl: "Hey girls, listen up. Since Ananya is getting married, she'll write her fiance's name on her mehendi. But since we're single, we'll write the name of something that brings us joy and happiness. Vaidehi, you should join in too."
Vaidehi: "Okay"
Now, this was intriguing. My wife agreed to this playful gesture, opting not to write my name on her henna. I was curious to see what she would choose instead. However, my train of thought was interrupted when the henna artist asked her what she wanted to write on her hand.
Vaidehi: "Aap "Viyansh" likh dijiye." (Write Viyansh)
A smile crept onto my face.
Girl: "Hey, I said write the name of something that makes you feel good and happy."
Vaidehi gave a humble smile to her friend and replied.
Vaidehi: "That's what I'm doing."
I couldn't quite articulate the emotions welling up inside me at that moment. Despite being physically absent, she still chose me as her source of happiness. It reaffirmed our love and the depth of our connection. I vowed to never disappoint her because she means the world to me; she's my baby after all mera bachcha.
Another girl chimed in, "Then we'll ruin your henna."
All the girls burst into laughter, and a frown creased my Jaan's face. However, her response left me torn between feeling proud and wanting to laugh. She said.
Vaidehi: "Meri mehendi kharab ki na toh Ansh ko bol kar case kar dungi tum sab pe, huh jealous people."
(If you ruin my mehendi, I'll tell Ansh, and I'll file a case against all of you, huh, jealous people.)
I couldn't help but chuckle, and even her friends were laughing at my Jaan. I mean, seriously, she's threatening them with my name. Wow. Although it shows the trust she has in me.
Girl: "You're head over heels in love with Jiju. He must have put a spell on you."
Vaidehi: "Ayee mere Ansh ko Nazar mat lagao tum sab, Varna pitai karungi"
(Oh, don't jinx it, otherwise, I'll beat you all up.)
Ananya: "Guys, don't tease my bestie."
Then they exchanged a cheeky smile with each other.
Suddenly, her friends were called away by someone, leaving her alone. Even the bride's mother whisked her away, likely for dinner. Oh no, my Jaan must be hungry too.
I approached her and lightly brushed my fingers against her waist. Startled, she looked behind her, but relaxed upon seeing me.
Author's POV,
Vaidehi: "Annshhhhh"
A huge smile spread across her face as he leaned in a bit closer to her.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, aap yaha?" (You here?)
Viyansh: "Why can't I be here?"
Vaidehi: "I didn't mean that."
Viyansh: "Why is it empty?"
Vaidehi's face showed confusion, her brows furrowing in a puzzled expression.
Vaidehi: "What?"
He leaned closer and whispered softly into her ears.
Viyansh: "This tiny milky white waist of yours.'
A flush of deep red quickly spread across her cheeks.
Vaidehi: "Anshh"
She lowered her eyes, and he sat beside her. She rested her head on his shoulder.
Vaidehi: "I was missing you."
Viyansh: "Why?"
Vaidehi: "Ye Dil tum bin kahi lagata nahi hum kya kare??"
(This heart doesn't settle anywhere without you. What should I do?)
She sang a line from a song, and he chuckled. Then, he pinched her cheeks and pecked her forehead.
Viyansh: "Done with mehendi?" (Henna)
Vaidehi: "yeahh, How's it."
She gestured toward her henna-painted hands, extending them for him to see up to her elbows.
Viyansh: "Beautiful? Does it have my name?"
Vaidehi: "I don't know, maybe it does, or maybe not. You'll have to find out."
He leaned closer to her ear, his voice taking on a seductive tone.
Viyansh: "I'll check that in our bedroom tonight."
Shyly, she turned her gaze away from him.
Viyansh: "Anyway, aren't you hungry?"
Vaidehi: "Yeah, I'm starving."
She pouted as she spoke, and only he knew the struggle of restraining himself from kissing her since the moment he had laid eyes on her in this attire.
Viyansh: "Come."
He guided her to a table and helped her to sit down.
Viyansh: "Dinner is being served in the lawn. You wait here, I'll go get it."
Vaidehi: "Ji" (yes).
He smiled and made his way to the other side of the venue to fetch something for her to eat. On his way back, he encountered the bride, whom he recognized as they had met in Viyansh and Vaidehi's reception party.
Ananya: "Hi jiju, you here?"
Viyansh: "Hi Ananya, yeah, just came to pick up Vaidehi. And congratulations on the marriage."
Ananya: "Thank you. Oh, by the way, jiju, I want to thank you for something else as well."
Viyansh: "What?"
Ananya: "For coming into Vaidehi's life."
Viyansh: "Well then, I should thank God for sending her into my life."
She chuckled and then resumed her conversation.
Ananya: "No, jiju, I actually want to thank you. We're childhood friends, and trust me, this is the first time I'm seeing her this happy. I really don't know what happened to her three years ago that made her suddenly go silent, but finally, she's getting back."
He smiled.
Viyansh: "Then get used to it. Because there's no way I'm letting my Jaan be sad."
Ananya: "Yeah, and please have dinner before leaving."
Viyansh: "Yeah, your bestie is really hungry right now."
He bid her farewell and returned to Vaidehi.
Vaidehi: "Ansh kitni der laga di, khilaiye bahaut bhook lagi hai." (Ansh, you took so long, I'm really hungry, please serve the food.)
Viyansh: "Patience jaana."
He sat beside her.
Vaidehi: "Jaldi (Quickly.)"
Viyansh: "Haa baba." (Yes, dear.)
He fed her the first bite of rice mixed with gravy, but when he offered another, he noticed tears in her eyes and saw her huffing due to a burning sensation.
Vaidehi: "Ahhh, Ansh this is too spicy."
He tasted it and found it a bit spicy, but he knew her spice tolerance well and realized it would be too much for her to handle.
He noticed her shaking legs and grew concerned, realizing she was uncomfortable.
Viyansh: "Wait, I'll go get some water."
He returned with water and offered it to her, but even after drinking it, she still felt the burning sensation in her mouth.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, do something, it's burning."
He knew that the sensation would subside with time, but he wanted to distract her and couldn't bear to see tears in her eyes. He glanced around and spotted a secluded corner.
Viyansh: "Come."
He guided her to the corner, where she continued to blow air from her mouth, trying to cool the burning sensation. Unaware of Viyansh's actions, she was focused on her discomfort. In the secluded spot, Viyansh noticed a table. He gently placed his hands on her waist, lifted her up, and sat her on the table. Standing between her legs, he leaned in, pressing his lips against hers in an attempt to divert her attention. Her eyes widened in surprise as her heart rate quickened, feeling the intensity of his touch. With one hand on her waist and the other on her cheek, he delicately adjusted her face, deepening the connection between them. Their kiss grew more passionate with each moment. Caught between her shock and the fear of ruining her mehendi, she found herself unable to respond or push him away as they are at a public place. She remained still, allowing him to continue, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts and emotions.
Viyansh: "Open your mouth, Biwi."
In a daze, she complied with his whispered instruction, her mind clouded by the intensity of their connection. As soon as her lips parted, he deepened the kiss, his tongue slipping past the barrier of her lips to explore her mouth with a newfound fervor. Lost in the passion of the moment, she surrendered to the sensation, her body responding instinctively to his touch. Initially, he had kissed her to distract her from the burning sensation caused by the spicy food, but soon their kiss became a reflection of their deep love for each other. Despite initially keeping her hands to herself, she found herself fully immersed in the kiss, her body responding to his touch with equal fervor. His hands, initially resting on her waist, began to explore further, sliding beneath her dupatta to trace the contours of her navel and then moving upwards to caress her chest near the collarbone. He held her neck firmly, deepening the kiss with passionate fervor, lost in the moment and forgetting all else around them. As time passed, he sensed her struggling for breath, prompting him to reluctantly pull away. Gazing at her, he noticed her downcast eyes, perhaps overwhelmed by the intensity of their embrace.
Vaidehi: "Pass aaiye" (Come closer)
He drew nearer to her, prompting her to hide her face in the shelter of his chest. A soft chuckle escaped him at her bashful gesture.
Viyansh: "What am I going to do about this shyness of yours?"
Vaidehi: "You can't do anything."
Viyansh: "By the way, how are you feeling now?"
She raised her head, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. He smiled, appreciating her innocence, and gently cupped her face in his palm before speaking.
Viyansh: "Is your mouth still burning?"
She shook her head in response. Suddenly, they heard Ananya's voice calling out for Vaidehi.
Vaidehi: "Ansh mujhe niche toh utariye." (Ansh, please put me down.)
He gently lifted her by the waist and set her down on her feet.
Vaidehi: "Ansh Suniya" (Ansh, listen.)
Viyansh: "Kahiye Biwi Sahiba" (Yes, wifey?)
Vaidehi: "Vo.. aa..aap please mera dupatta thik kar dijiye." (Um... could you please fix my scarf?)
He noticed her attire had shifted slightly, revealing more of her chest and belly. With a gentle smile, he adjusted it back into place for her.
Viyansh: "Toh isme itna hesitate kyu kar Rahi hai aap jaan." (Why are you hesitating so much about this, my love?)
Shyly averting her gaze, she prepared to leave the spot, but their departure was interrupted by Ananya's arrival.
Ananya: "Vaidehi, you're..."
She paused, seeing them.
Vaidehi: "Anu, we were just coming to you. We were about to leave."
Ananya: "Yeah, I came to see you both off, but I didn't know you were having dinner here."
Vaidehi looked at her in confusion.
Vaidehi: "What do you mean?"
Ananya: "Jiju, please gift her a smudge-proof lipstick."
With a giggle, Ananya departed from the scene, leaving Vaidehi still in a state of confusion. As she turned to glance at Viyansh, her eyes widened, and her cheeks flushed crimson once more.
Vaidehi: "Oh, God, what must she have thought?"
Viyansh leaned close to her ear and whispered.
Viyansh: "That we're both madly in love with each other."
Vaidehi: "Ansh, um... Aa..aap you please wipe your lips, my lipstick is all over them."
He wiped his lips with his handkerchief and smirked at her. She glared at him and said.
Vaidehi: "Chaliye ab, ghar nahi jana h?" (Shall we go home now?)
He smiled and nodded in agreement. Both left from there through the corridors. Viyansh had removed his blazer, which was hanging on his one hand, with his sleeves folded up to his elbows. His other hand was resting on Vaidehi's shoulder. As they headed towards the exit, Vaidehi noticed that all the girls were staring at her husband, and a frown creased her forehead. She felt a surge of anger towards them, but knowing she couldn't confront them, she turned to Viyansh and said, looking up at him.
Vaidehi: "Ansh Suniye" (Listen)
Viyansh: "Hmm kahiye Biwi Sahiba." (Yes, tell me)
Vaidehi: "Ansh aap na ek kaam kijiye, ye mera dupatta hai na isme apna chehra chupa lijiye." (Ansh, could you do me a favor? This is my scarf, right? Please use it to hide your face.)
Viyansh looked at her with confusion and asked.
Viyansh: "What?"
Vaidehi: "Ha na Ansh dekhiye na ye ladkiya kaise dekh Rahi hai aapko. Inko nazar nahi aa rahi main aapke sath?? They are eye raping you Ansh."
(Yes, Ansh, look at how these girls are staring at you. Don't they see that I'm with you?)
He sensed her jealousy and started laughing at her reaction.
Vaidehi: "Ansh hasiye mat mujhpar." (don't laugh at me.)
Viyansh: "Aur kya karu, pata nahi kya kya aata hai tumhare dimaag me biwi."
(What else can I do? I never know what goes on in your mind)
She pouts at him in a pleasing way, so he wraps his hand around her waist and pulls her closer.
Viyansh: "Now those girls will know who I belong to. Are you happy now?"
She smiled.
Vaidehi: "Jiii."
They reached their car, and he opened the door for her. She sat inside, and he came around to the driver's side, tossing his blazer onto the back seat. After buckling her seatbelt and then his own, he was about to start the engine when they heard the sound of a ringing phone.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, phone uthaiye apna" (please answer your phone.)
Viyansh: "This isn't my phone, it's yours."
She looked at him, realization dawning on her, and her eyes widened in surprise.
Vaidehi: "Oh no no no, main toh naraz thi na aapse. Aapne mujhe salad khilaya aur phone bhi Tod diya. No no no how can I talk to you. "
(Oh no no no, I was upset with you. You made me eat salad and also broke my phone. No no no, how can I talk to you.)
She whined like a child.
Viyansh POV,
I'm such an idiot, why did I remind her about her phone? She recalled everything, then turned her face towards the window, a pout still lingering on her lips. With a slight lean towards the back, I retrieved the bag and placed it on her lap. When she glanced back at him, I smiled sheepishly.
Vaidehi: "What's this?"
Viyansh: "Open it."
She glared at me and showed her hands forward, indicating her frustration. Uff, how dumb of me. She's already angry, and I'm just adding fuel to her fire.
Viyansh: "Sorry Jaan."
I opened the box and revealed the latest iPhone I had bought for her.
Vaidehi: "Keep it with you. I don't want it."
Viyansh: "Okay, sorry na, bachcha. Maaf bhi kar do." (Forgive me)
Vaidehi: "Ghar chaliye" (Let's go home.)
I started the car, but after 2 minutes, I heard my wife's sweet voice.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, could we please get some ice cream or something cold? My stomach is burning, please."
She said with innocence shining in her eyes, a sight that always melts my heart.
Viyansh: "Why are you pleading with me, Jaan? Let's go get some ice cream for you."
She smiled, but I couldn't help feeling foolish for thinking a simple gift like a phone could make her forgive me.After arriving at the ice cream parlor, I instructed her to wait in the car while I went inside to get some ice cream for her. After a few minutes, I returned with a tub of ice cream. As soon as I settled back into the car, she requested me to feed her.
Vaidehi: "Jaldi khilaiye." (Feed me quickly)
I smiled as I fed her the first bite, noticing her facial expression relax. It must have been a relief for her stomach. My Jaan is quite sensitive and can't handle spicy food well, often leading to a burning sensation in her stomach.
Vaidehi: "Aap bhi khaiye na Ansh." (Please have some too, Ansh.)
Viyansh: "No I can't meri biwi naraz hai mujhse, main kaise kuch meetha kha lu." (No, I can't. My wife is upset with me, how can I enjoy something sweet?)
Author's POV,
Viyansh gave her a pleading look, and she couldn't help but giggle.
Vaidehi: "Achcha thik hai I forgive you ab kha lijiye, dinner bhi nahi kiya na aapne." (Alright, fine, I forgive you. Now eat, you haven't even had dinner yet.)
Viyansh: "You forgive me??"
Vaidehi: "Do you really think I can stay angry with you, vo bhi tab jab aap itne hot ban ke ghumenge mere samne??"
(especially when you're looking so hot in front of me?)
A blush crept onto his cheeks at her words.
Viyansh: "Biwi phir shuru ho gayi tum." (Here you go again, Biwi, starting again.)
She leaned over and playfully nibbled on his cheeks.
Vaidehi: "Awww you are so cute, Ansh."
He smiled and fed her more ice cream.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, since we didn't have dinner ghar jaake hum Maggie khayenge ok, and dare you deny me naraz ho jaungi."
(Ansh, since we didn't have dinner, let's have some Maggie when we get home, okay? And if you dare deny me, I'll get angry.)
Viyansh chuckled in response.
Viyansh: "Ok, I'll make my special Maggie for you."
Vaidehi: "aap banayenge??" (You'll cook?)
Viyansh: "Sirf aapke liye bachcha." (Only for you, my dear.)
Now it was her turn to blush.
Soon they reached home late and entered the house. The lights were dimmed, indicating that everyone must have already gone to bed. As they were about to climb the stairs, they heard a voice coming from the kitchen.
Viyansh: "Is waqt kon hoga". (Who could be there at this hour?)
He was about to head in that direction when Vaidehi halted him.
Vaidehi: "Mat jaiye Ansh, bhoot hua toh?" (Don't go, what if it's a ghost.)
He gave her a look, and she giggled mischievously. Turning around, he noticed Vihaan coming from the kitchen.
Vihaan: "Oh, you guys are back."
Vaidehi: "Bhai aap itni raat ko bhoot jaise kyu ghum rahe ho Ghar me, pata hai Ansh abhi darne wale the aapko bhoot samajh kar."
(why are you wandering around the house like a ghost at this hour? Ansh was about to get scared thinking it was a ghost.)
Vihaan laughed, and Viyansh glared at his wife, who was giggling.
Vihaan: "I was just here to fetch some water. Alright, good night now."
He said as he left for his room.
Viyansh: "Chalo tum kamre me batata hu tumhe main darta hu ya nahi."
(Come to the room and Let me show you if I'm scared or not.)
Vaidehi: "Kya kar lenge aap?" (What will you do?)
Viyansh: "Chalo toh." (Come on then.)
He lifted her up and she giggled.
