Viyansh sat in the middle of the meeting, having just delivered his presentation. Now, he was supposed to be listening to the other party's proposal, but his mind was elsewhere. Despite his best efforts to focus, his thoughts were scattered, unable to grasp the details of the discussion. An uneasy feeling gnawed at him, making it difficult to concentrate. He couldn't shake the sense that something was wrong, and it weighed heavily on his mind. Viyansh's heart was restless, his thoughts adrift. A persistent sense of unease gnawed at him, filling him with constant fear and regret for leaving his wife alone at home. He couldn't pinpoint the source of his anxiety, but it grew stronger with each passing second. Vikram, who was also present in the conference room, noticed Viyansh's distracted state.
Vikram: "Viyansh??"
Vikram called out to Viyansh, but there was no response. It was as if Viyansh hadn't heard him at all, his mind completely elsewhere. Suddenly, Viyansh felt an overwhelming sensation, almost as if Vaidehi's voice was calling out to him, echoing in his ears. Without a word, he abruptly dashed out of the conference room, his urgency leaving everyone in a state of shock and confusion. This sudden, unprofessional behavior was completely out of character for Viyansh, and everyone in the room was taken aback. It was the first time he had ever acted so abruptly. His father, sensing that something serious and likely related to Vaidehi was amiss, quickly stepped in. He apologized to the attendees on Viyansh's behalf, explaining that there must be an urgent matter requiring his immediate attention. With a composed demeanor, his father resumed the meeting, trying to smooth over the disruption while his own thoughts remained concerned about what could have caused Viyansh to react so suddenly.
Viyansh burst out of the conference room, his hand immediately reaching for his phone. His heart raced and his eyes widened in alarm when he saw 17 missed calls from "Mera Bachcha." Panic surged through him as he quickly dialed Vaidehi's number, but each attempt went unanswered, intensifying his worry with every passing second. After four or five futile tries, his anxiety skyrocketing, he swiftly dialed their home number. This time, someone picked up, and without waiting for a greeting, Viyansh launched into a barrage of questions, his voice edged with desperation.
Viyansh: "Jaan yaar call kyu nahi utha Rahi ho tum?? Phone kaha hai?? Itne calls kiye the?? Thik toh ho na tum jaana?? Bolo bhi ...."
(Darling, why aren't you answering my calls?? Where is your phone?? I've called so many times. Are you okay, sweetheart?? Please say something...)
He stopped abruptly when he heard someone else's voice from the other side. It was their house help, Sushma Kaki.
Sushma: "Beta, vo vaidehi bitiya ka pair mud Gaya tha sidhiyo pe aur moch aa gayi hai."
(Son,Vaidehi twisted her ankle on the stairs and has a sprain.)
Her voice, tinged with panic, immediately heightened Viyansh's concern. The urgency in Sushma Kaki's tone added a layer of anxiety to the moment.
Viyansh: "Kyaaa... Kaaki aap please uska ka dhyaan rakhiye main abhi Ghar aata hu."
(What? Aunt, please take care of her, I'm coming home right now.)
He began to move towards the elevator, driven by a sense of urgency, but suddenly halted.
Sushma:- "Beta suno toh, bitiya ghar pe nahi hai."
(Listen, Son, she's not at home.)
Viyansh: "Ghar pe nahi hai?? Kaki aapne kaha na jaana ke pairo me moch aayi hai toh aise me kaha hai vo??"
(Not at home?? Aunt, you just said she has a sprain, so where is she?)
Sushma: "Beta pata nahi bas keh rahi thi ki aapko bata du ki vo apne Dadu se Milne ja rhi hai kyuki unki tabiyat theek nahi."
(I don't know exactly. She just asked me to tell you she's gone to see her grandpa because he's unwell.)
Viyansh: "Kaki aapne Jane kaise Diya use."
(Aunt, how could you let her go?)
Sushma: "Maine mana kiya par meri ek nahi suni unhone, Driver bhi nahi tha khud gaadi chala kar gayi hai vo, uper se thik se chal bhi nahi paa rahin thi vo pair pure laal ho gaye the."
(I tried to stop her, but she wouldn't listen. There was no driver, so she drove herself. She could barely walk, her foot was completely red.)
Viyansh: "Kaki kuch bataya kaha gayi hai??"
(Did she say where she was going?)
Sushma: "Keh rahi thi Dadu ki tabiyat thik nahi hai aur ro Rahi thi aur jaldi jaldi nikal gayi. Baaki aur kuch toh nahi bataya."
(She just said her grandpa's health is not good, and she was crying. She left in a hurry. That's all she said.)
Viyansh: "Thik hai."
(Okay.)
Viyansh hung up the call and immediately dialed Vaidehi's number again, but this time it went straight to voicemail, indicating that her phone was switched off. His tension mounted, and he quickly tried calling her bodyguards, but none of them answered either. Frustration and fear gripped him as he made his way toward the elevator. Just then, he heard Vikram calling out to him. He halted and turned around, his face etched with worry and urgency. Vikram hurried over, sensing the gravity of the situation.
Vikram:Â "What happened, Viyansh? Why are you so tense?"
Viyansh: "Papa vo Jaan vo..."
(Dad, it's...)
Vikram: "Ladoo?? Kya hua use??"
(What happened to her?)
He quickly narrated everything to Vikram. Vikram, listening intently, felt the tension rise within him as well, his concern mirroring Viyansh's.
Viyansh: "Meri hi galti hai mujhe use chod ke aana hi nahi chahiye tha. Papa I'm going to the Oberoi mansion."
(It's my fault. I shouldn't have left her alone. Dad, I'm going to the Oberoi mansion.)
Vikram nodded in understanding, and without wasting another moment, Viyansh sprinted away in a hurry, driven by the urgency of the situation.
He jumped into his car and sped off, his mind racing as fast as the vehicle. As he drove, he quickly dialed Eklavya's number, hoping to convey the urgency of the situation and seek assistance or information.
Eklavya: "Hey, I was about to call you, we need to discuss a lot..."
Viyansh interjected as Eklavya was speaking.
Viyansh: "Eklavya, Jaan left the house, and now her phone is switched off, and her bodyguards aren't answering my calls."
Eklavya: "What?? Why did you let her go..."
Viyansh: "Please, Eklavya, try to call her bodyguards. I'm heading to the Oberoi mansion. Please come soon."
Eklavya: "Okay, I'm on my way."
Viyansh drove recklessly, arriving at the Oberoi mansion in no time.
Viyansh's appearance reflected the turmoil within him. His blazer lay discarded in the back seat of his car, his shirt's top buttons undone, and his hair ruffled, all signs of his mounting worry and tension. With sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he exuded an air of urgency as he dashed towards the house. Without pausing to compose himself, he burst through the door and began calling out for Vaidehi, his voice echoing through the halls in a desperate plea. Each call was laced with concern, his heart pounding with fear for his wife's safety.
Viyansh: "Biwwiii, jaana kaha ho??"
(Darling, where are you??)
He began scanning his surroundings in every direction. Harshvardhan, Abhinav, and Sangeeta, who were gathered in the living area of the Oberoi Mansion, rose to their feet as they watched Viyansh enter, his demeanor visibly agitated and restless. They had relocated to the Oberoi mansion following Vaidehi's marriage.
Harshvardhan: "Viyansh??"
Viyansh hurried over to him and asked quickly.
Viyansh: "Dadu, jaana yaha aayi thi na?? Where's she??"
(Grandpa, did Jaan come here? Where is she?)
Harshvardhan: "Vaidehi???"
Viyansh: "Haa Dadu, bataiye kaha hai meri biwi???"
(Yes, Grandpa, tell me, where is my wife?)
This time, his voice carried a slightly louder tone.
Harshvardhan: "Beta, Vaidehi is not here. She didn't come here. What are you talking about?"
Viyansh: "Please, Dadu, she left home saying you were unwell and she was coming to meet you. So where is she?"
Frustration and anger simmered in Viyansh's voice and reflected in his eyes as he expressed his distress. Three hours had passed since Vaidehi had left home, and the uncertainty of her whereabouts only fueled his growing concern and agitation.
Sangeeta: "Huh, it's her habit to make others worry, such an attention seeker."
As those words left her lips, Viyansh's gaze turned into a fiery glare, filled with a raw intensity of anger that could make anyone tremble. Sangeeta couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear at the intensity of his stare, though she managed to conceal it beneath a composed exterior.
Viyansh: "Don't you dare utter a word against my wife, Mrs. Oberoi."
Sangeeta: "Seems you are unaware of a lot of things."
Eklavya: "Not him, but you are surely unaware of a few facts."
All eyes turned towards the entrance as Eklavya strode in, accompanied by his team of officers who had been tirelessly working on Vaidehi's case of 14 years ago. Their presence added a sense of urgency to the atmosphere, amplifying the tension in the room. Following closely behind were Vikram, Vihaan, Viraj, and Virat, their faces etched with anger at the mention of Sangeeta's disparaging words about Vaidehi. Despite their visible fury, their primary concern was evident in the worry and restlessness that emanated from them, reflecting the deep bond they shared with Vaidehi.
Viyansh approached Eklavya and gently took hold of his hand.
Viyansh: "Eklavya vo Jaan meri jaan vo..."
Eklavya: "I've contacted her bodyguards, Viyansh, they're on their way."
Abhinav, who had been silent until now, was unable to contain his worry for his daughter any longer, interjected into the conversation with a question, his voice reflecting his concern and urgency.
Abhinav: "Bodyguards? Why does she need bodyguards?"
Harshvardhan and Sangeeta exchanged confused glances, puzzled by the sudden need for Vaidehi to have bodyguards. While Sangeeta reasoned that as the wife of a billionaire, it might be necessary for security reasons, Harshvardhan remained uncertain. However, Abhinav, who knew Vaidehi's aversion to such measures, felt a surge of anxiety. He understood that Vaidehi valued her independence and privacy, and the notion of needing bodyguards would only add to her discomfort. His worry deepened as he contemplated the possible reasons behind this unexpected development, fearing that something serious might be amiss.
Eklavya: "Calm down Viyansh."
Viyansh: "Calm down? Seriously? My wife has been missing for three hours, and you're telling me to calm down?"
Sangeeta: "She's probably just out and about, there's no need to worry."
Her words seemed to only stoke the flames of anger burning within Viyansh and the other Singhania men, as well as Eklavya. Each word uttered appeared to intensify their frustration and anxiety, heightening the tension in the room.
Vihaan: "Enough! Don't you dare say a word against my sister, especially when you don't know her."
Sangeeta: "You can't talk to me like that. And no one knows her better than me. In fact, you guys don't know what she's done to me."
Vikram: "We know everything, Mrs. Oberoi, and we can't forgive you for what you've done to my daughter."
She rolled her eyes in annoyance at the interruption.
Eklavya: "Viyansh, I need to tell you, in fact, everyone here, especially Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi."
Viyansh: "Eklavya, I don't want to hear anything right now. I just want my wife."
Eklavya: "It's about Vaidehi, Viyansh, and please, have some patience. Her bodyguards are on their way."
Vikram attempted to calm Viyansh down, but he found himself equally worried about Vaidehi.
All settled on the couch, one of Eklavya's officers handed him a file. Eklavya then passed it along to Mr. Abhinav Oberoi and Mrs. Sangeeta Oberoi.
Abhinav: "What's this??"
Eklavya: "This is evidence of my sister's innocence."
Sangeeta: "What do you mean?"
Eklavya: "Little bunny, I mean Vaidehi... Vaidehi never deserved the punishments you both gave her, Mrs. Oberoi. She was never at fault."
Abhinav: *Please clarify."
Eklavya: "She didn't kill your son, Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi."
Sangeeta: "Enough! Don't speak about things you know nothing about."
Eklavya: "I know everything, Mrs. Oberoi. In fact, everyone here knows everything except the truth I'm about to reveal."
Sangeeta: "I don't know anything. She's a murderer, and she killed my son Ahaan."
Vihaan was taken aback by the revelation. It suddenly made sense why Vaidehi referred to him as Ahaan instead of Vihaan, a detail that had puzzled him before. However, he also realized that Vaidehi called him by that name unknowingly, unaware of her own past and the significance it held for both of them.
Viyansh: "Enough Mrs. Oberoi. Bolne se pehle soch lijiye kya bol rahi hai aur kiske baare me. Main apni biwi ke khilaaf ek shabd nahi sununga."
(Enough, Mrs. Oberoi. Think before you speak, especially about whom. I won't tolerate a word against my wife.)
It would be a lie to say that she wasn't frightened by Viyansh's words and the intensity of his voice.
Abhinav: "What do you mean, officer? We saw the CCTV footage clearly. Vaidehi pushed Ahaan, and he was hit by a truck and died on the spot."
Eklavya: "Mr. Oberoi, even if you had investigated the entire case, the conclusion would have been the same. But sadly, you didn't even do that, And what about Vaidehi, Mr. Oberoi? She also had an accident that day. Did you even try to find out why she pushed Ahaan?"
Abhinav: "We did try, but when she regained consciousness after two days, the doctors informed us that she had suffered memory loss and didn't remember anything."
Viyansh: "Exactly. That poor child was kidnapped at the age of 10, then she had an accident and lost her memory. And you blamed my wife for killing her own younger brother."
Sangeeta: "We clearly saw on the CCTV footage how she pushed my son to his death. And if you know everything, don't forget she was his half-sister. She's not my daughter."
Viyansh: "I'm thankful for that. That a woman like you didn't give birth to my Jaan."
Abhinav: "Mind your words, young man. You're talking to my wife."
Viyansh: "And she's talking about my wife, Mr. Oberoi. And I won't tolerate anything against her."
Viyansh's fury was palpable, radiating off him in waves that even his closest allies, Vihaan, Viraj, and Virat, found themselves recoiling from. They had never witnessed this side of him before, and his sudden outburst left them taken aback. His anger was evident in the thunderous timbre of his voice as he unleashed a torrent of rebuke upon Mrs. Sangeeta. The venom in her words, disparaging his beloved Vaidehi, only fueled his rage further. Viyansh's concern for Vaidehi's well-being combined with his deep love for her, igniting a firestorm of fury that burned fiercely within him.
Eklavya: "Exactly. Just because she lost her memory, you didn't investigate further and blamed her for everything. Mrs. Oberoi, first of all, Vaidehi was kidnapped because of Ahaan that day. The kidnapping was intended for him when they were coming back from school, but Vaidehi tried to save him, and they kidnapped her too."
Sangeeta: "But why would anyone do that?"
Vikram: "Don't you think it's too late to ask that question, Mrs. Oberoi, when you've already caused so much damage to my daughter?"
The confusion between Abhinav and Sangeeta deepened as they grappled with the mystery of who could possibly want to harm their children and for what reason. Their businesses were not in a precarious enough state to incite envy or resentment from others, leaving them perplexed as to the motive behind such sinister intentions. The revelation that Sangeeta did not give birth to Vaidehi did not come as a surprise to those present, as they were already aware of Vaidehi's lineage. Vaidehi was, in fact, the daughter of Abhinav's first wife. Following the unfortunate loss of Abhinav's first wife, when Vaidehi was just a year old, Harshvardhan had urged Abhinav to remarry. Abhinav then married Sangeeta, and together they had a son named Ahaan.
Vihaan, perceptive as ever, recognized the deep bond of love that Vaidehi harbored for her brother, Ahaan, despite her memory loss preventing her from remembering him.
Viyansh learned about Vaidehi's true parentage during the meeting with Harshvardhan after Vaidehi suffered a panic attack triggered by Abhinav. He decided to confide in his family about this revelation, with the exception of Vaidehi herself, wanting to handle the matter delicately and with care. Meanwhile, Vikram had long been aware of Vaidehi's familial background. His connection to the family extended back to his youth through his wife, granting him insight into their dynamics and history.
Eklavya: "Let me clear your misunderstandings, Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi."
Both of their attention shifted towards Eklavya, waiting for his next move or words.
Eklavya: "It was your brother, Mr. Ritesh Sharma."
Sangeeta: "What?"
She experienced the biggest shock of her life, her senses overwhelmed by the unexpected turn of events.
Eklavya: "Yes, Mrs. Oberoi, he was the one who kidnapped Vaidehi and Ahaan. The reasons are unknown to me, but he tampered with the evidence of the kidnapping case, bribed the police officer in charge of the case, and tampered with the CCTV footage."
Abhinav: "What do you mean by tampering with the CCTV footage?"
Eklavya: "Since the quality of CCTV footage at that time was not good, it was easy for them to manipulate the truth."
Harshvardhan: "What truth?"
Eklavya: "The truth is that the electricity pole that fell on Vaidehi's head was actually about to fall on Ahaan, and she pushed him to save him. But at that moment, Mr. Ritesh came with a truck and hit Ahaan, causing his death on the spot."
Sangeeta sank back onto the couch with a heavy thud, her expression blank as she struggled to digest the truth.
Sangeeta: "No, this can't be true."
Eklavya: "This is the truth, Mrs. Oberoi. You couldn't see what actually happened behind the truck when the electricity pole fell on Vaidehi. And so, you thought she pushed him to his death."
Abhinav's world shattered with the revelation, leaving him in a state of profound shock and self-reproach. As the truth sank in, he was consumed by remorse for ever doubting and blaming his own daughter. His once expressive face now bore the weight of his turmoil, becoming devoid of any emotion.
Flashes of memories flooded his mindâmoments shared with Vaidehi, her innocent gestures and attempts to connect with himâall now haunting reminders of his misguided actions. He couldn't bear the thought of facing Vaidehi, knowing the pain he had caused her.
In a haze of self-condemnation, Abhinav made the agonizing decision to leave home, sparing his wife the anguish of witnessing Vaidehi's presence. He couldn't shake the guilt of living a lie for the past 14 years, realizing how his misplaced priorities and insecurities had turned his love for his wife into a source of pain for his daughter.
Eklavya: "Here, take this file containing all the evidence against Mr. Ritesh Sharma."
He passed the file to Mrs. Sangeeta Oberoi, and tension filled the room, palpable in the expressions of every person present.
Harshvardhan: "Where's my child??"
The revelation of Vaidehi's true past shook both Abhinav and Sangeeta to their cores, pulling them out of their own thoughts and into the present moment. For the first time in 14 years, tears welled up in Sangeeta's eyes as she grappled with a flood of emotions.
Despite not giving birth to Vaidehi, Sangeeta realized the depth of her love and concern for her daughter. Vaidehi had been the reason she married Abhinav, and she had embraced her role as a mother figure to the young girl, raising her with care and affection until tragedy struck with the loss of her own son.
The pain of that loss had been unbearable for Sangeeta, clouding her ability to fully embrace her maternal instincts for Vaidehi in the years that followed. But now, faced with the truth and the undeniable bond between them, Sangeeta felt a surge of maternal love and worry for Vaidehi, acknowledging the importance of their relationship regardless of biology.
Eklavya approached Viyansh, finding him sitting on the couch with his face buried in his hands. The weight of worry and tension hung heavy around him, evident in his hunched posture and furrowed brow. Viyansh's mind was consumed with thoughts of his missing wife, his thoughts scattered and his ability to think clearly compromised.
He listened as Eklavya recounted the truth behind Vaidehi's parents' behavior, a truth that Viyansh had long suspected but never confronted. Despite his awareness of the situation, he had chosen to shield Vaidehi from the painful reality, fearing that revealing the truth would only cause her further anguish.
Now, however, with the full extent of the situation laid bare before him, Viyansh felt a mix of emotionsâanger, sadness, and a profound sense of empathy for Vaidehi. He knew that her parents' actions had left deep scars on her psyche, scars that she had carried with her for years without fully understanding their origin.
Eklavya: "Viyansh, there's another thing you need to know."
Viyansh: "What??"
Eklavya: "Shruti."
Viyansh snapped his head towards Eklavya in confusion, eliciting similar puzzled looks from everyone else in the room.
Eklavya: "Shruti Sharma, Ritesh Sharma's daughter."
Along with the Singhania's, even the Oberoi's were shocked, their faces mirroring disbelief at the revelation.
Viyansh: "What are you saying??"
Sangeeta: "This can't be possible. He never married anybody."
Eklavya: "He did. How and why, I don't know, but Shruti is his daughter, and..."
Viyansh: "And what, Eklavya?"
Eklavya: "Little bunny has been kidnapped, Viyansh."
As Eklavya's words hung in the air, Viyansh's eyes widened in shock, his body tensing with a sudden surge of adrenaline. In an instant, he was on his feet, his every muscle coiled with determination. The room fell silent, everyone present frozen in disbelief at the revelation.
Tears welled in Virat's eyes, his emotions raw and palpable as he grappled with the weight of the truth. The other Singhania men's expressions hardened with anger towards Ritesh for his despicable actions, yet beneath their rage lay a profound concern for Vaidehi's well-being.
Viyansh didn't even blink for two minutes, unable to digest the shocking revelation.
Then Vaidehi's bodyguard arrived, dressed in black. It became apparent that they were the ones who had been following Vaidehi when she left her home.
Gaurd 1: "Sir.."
All eyes turned towards them, and Viyansh wasted no time in rushing towards the bodyguard, grabbing hold of his collar.
Viyansh: "Meri biwi kaha hai??"
(Where is my wife??)
He shouted at them, and they hung their heads low in response, clearly remorseful for their actions.
Guard 2: "Actually, Sir, we were following madam, and suddenly she had an accident."
Another wave of shock hit them all as they witnessed tears welling up in Viyansh's eyes, adding another layer of emotion to the already tense atmosphere. His eyes, already red with anger, now glistened with tears, betraying the depth of his pain and turmoil. Viyansh's hands fell limply to his sides, his energy drained by the weight of what he had just heard, leaving him unable to even maintain his grip on his collar.
Vihaan: "Then what the hell were you guys doing? Weren't you appointed to protect her??"
Guard 1: "Sir, we rushed towards madam's car, but we don't know where some gas came from, which made us fall unconscious."
Eklavya: "Don't worry, we've already started the investigation. We'll find her soon."
Viraj: "Eklavya bhai, did you know about this??"
Eklavya nodded in acknowledgment of the situation.
Virat: "You knew about this, and still you're here? Why aren't you finding bhabhi maa??"
Eklavya: "Virat, our search operation is already underway, but so far, we don't have any leads. I can't do anything right now."
Vikram: "But..."
As Viyansh collapsed to his knees, Vikram and the others rushed to his side, their concern palpable. Vikram positioned himself in front of Viyansh, gently gripping his shoulders for support, offering a stabilizing presence amidst the overwhelming emotions. Eklavya and the rest of the family gathered around him.
Vikram: "Viyansh beta listen.."
Viyansh: "Papa, she...she met with an accident papa, use chot lagi hogi. uske pairo me bhi chot lagi hai. Vo kaha hogi , kis halat me hogi... Use toh apna dhyaan rakhna bhi nahi aata papa. M...meri jaan thik toh hogi na pa...papa.
(Dad, she...she had an accident, Dad. She must be hurt. There's glass in her feet. Where is she, in what condition is she? She doesn't even know how to take care of herself, Dad. Is...is she okay, Dad?)
Tears streamed down Viyansh's cheeks as he succumbed to the weight of his emotions, his vulnerability laid bare in front of his family. Without hesitation, Vikram enveloped him in a tight embrace, offering solace and support in his time of need. The other Singhania men, visibly moved by Viyansh's display of emotion, felt their own tension escalate, their concern for him deepening with each passing moment.
Vihaan: "Bhai sambhalo khud, hume dahi ko dundhna hoga, aap is tarah se tut nahi sakte".
(Brother, pull yourself together. We need to find Dahi. You can't break down like this.)
With a pained glance towards Vihaan, Viyansh pulled away from the embrace, his determination evident as he wiped away his tears and abruptly left the house, his emotions too overwhelming to contain within the confines of the familiar surroundings.
Vikram: "Viyansh."
Eklavya: "Don't worry, uncle, I'll go with him."
With those words, even Eklavya hastened after Viyansh.
