Viyansh POV,
My sleep was disrupted when I sensed movement on my chest. Opening my eyes, I was astonished to find that my wife had sprawled all over me. Her head rested on my chest, while her right hand embraced my torso, and her legs were entangled with mine. Initially, I attempted to free myself, but she only tightened her grip.
After a moment of contemplation, I questioned why I was attempting to break free. After all, it was not something I disliked; in fact, I found myself enjoying the closeness. As I considered this, she stirred slightly in her sleep. Deciding to feign sleep, I was relieved when she didn't wake up. She merely lifted her face a bit, granting me a clear view of her serene expression.
I found myself captivated by her, and instinctively, I tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. It was then that I noticed something I hadn't observed before â a mole just below her lower lip on the left corner. My heart raced as I gazed at the mole, a sudden desire to touch, feel, and kiss it overwhelming me. At that moment, she licked her lips in her sleep.
Realizing the intensity of my thoughts, I questioned myself, "What the hell am I even thinking?" Aware that if I continued to gaze at her, I might succumb to the impulse to kiss her, I carefully disentangled myself from her and rose from the bed.
Drinnngggg drinnnggggg
When her alarm blared, to my surprise, she didn't even flinch. Was she such a heavy sleeper? Regardless, considering we had a late-night conversation, I decided to let her sleep a bit longer. I turned off her alarm and headed to the bathroom. As I stood under the shower, my thoughts lingered on what Vihaan had revealed the previous day. I was taken aback by the revelations about her past, realizing there was much more beneath the surface that remained unknown to everyone but her.
Contemplating these thoughts, I hoped that we would soon grow comfortable with each other, enabling her to share her side of the story. Even if she chose not to disclose it, I didn't want to press her. My primary goal was to make this relationship a success. From our conversation the previous night, it was evident that she shared the same sentiment.
Reflecting on the night, I had initially believed that her waist-length hair would become my favorite, but surprisingly, it was the allure of her mole that captured my attention even more.
Author,
Viyansh emerged from the bathroom, opting for a casual outfit since it was Sunday. For the past two weekends, he had been working in the office, but now that everything was back on track, he planned to spend the day at home. Exiting their walk-in closet, he noticed his wife peacefully asleep. Leaning against the nearby door, he found himself admiring her, contemplating how cute she looked. His gaze fixated once again on her mole, and he got lost in her beauty.
Interrupting his thoughts, a knock on the door pulled him back to reality. Answering the door, he was surprised to find Viraj standing on the other side, clearly taken aback at the sight of his elder brother.
Viraj exclaimed.
Viraj: "Oh my God, Bhai, you're at home today?"
Viyansh, with a hint of annoyance, replied and rolled his eyes.
Viyansh: "Why? Is there any problem?"
Viraj, speaking in a hushed tone, inquired.
Viraj: "Nothing like that, Bhai. Anyways, where's Bhabhi Maa?"
Viyansh: "She's sleeping, but why are you speaking so slowly?"
Viraj: "So that Bhabhi Maa won't wake up."
Viyansh chuckled and remarked.
Viyansh: "She won't wake up; she doesn't even hear the alarm sound."
Viraj teased.
Viraj: "Whoa, Bhai, you smile also, since when?"
Viyansh, dismissing the comment, asked.
Viyansh: "Shut up and tell me why you came here. Do you want anything?"
Viraj nodded and revealed.
Viraj: "Yes."
Viyansh: "What?"
Viraj: "Make sure that Bhabhi Maa doesn't come downstairs for at least the next hour."
Viyansh questioned.
Viyansh: "Why so?"
Viraj replied with a playful attitude.
Viraj: "Oh, so many questions, Bhai. We have a surprise for Bhabhi Maa, so just do as I said. Okay, bye."
Having said that, Viraj hurriedly ran away, leaving Viyansh in a state of confusion. Closing the door, Viyansh cast another affectionate glance at Vaidehi and approached the bed with a smile. Bending down slightly to reach for his phone, he heard a murmur and turned his head to find Vaidehi mumbling in her sleep, with sweat on her forehead.
Viyansh wondered, "Is she having a nightmare?"
Concerned, he sat beside her and attempted to wake her by gently shaking her. As he observed her distressed state, he became increasingly anxious.
Viyansh: "Vaidehi, wake up, please."
Clutching the bedsheet tightly, Vaidehi remained in the grip of her troubled dreams. Viyansh, growing more concerned, resorted to patting her cheeks to rouse her, especially as tears began streaming down her face.
Vaidehi cried out.
Vaidehi: "Noooo."
Finally awakening with rapid breaths, Vaidehi found Viyansh by her side, rubbing her back and wiping away her tears.
Viyansh asked with genuine concern.
Viyansh: "Are you okay?"
Meeting his gaze, Vaidehi composed herself.
Viyansh: "Nightmare?"
Vaidehi: "Hmm."
Viyansh: "It's okay. Are you fine now?"
Vaidehi: "Yeah, I'm so sorry you woke up because of me."
Viyansh: "No, no. It's been a long time since I woke up and got freshened up as well."
Vaidehi: "Freshened up? What's the time?"
Without waiting for him to answer, she looked towards the clock and got shocked.
Vaidehi: "Oh no, why didn't you wake me up? It's 9 am, everybody must be waiting for breakfast. Oh god, I'm late."
She quickly got down from the bed and was about to rush to the washroom when Viyansh held her wrist and turned her back.
Vaidehi: "Jiii? (Yes?)"
Viyansh: "No need to hurry. Just now, Viraj came and asked me to make you wait for 1 hour."
Vaidehi: "But why?"
Viyansh: "That I don't know."
Vaidehi: "Okay."
She turned again to go towards the bathroom, but again, she couldn't move ahead. This made her turn back to him, only to find that he was already looking at her, and she lowered her gaze.
Vaidehi: "Jiii, vo aap (Yes, you)."
Viyansh: "Main kya? (What about me?)"
Vaidehi: Aapne ab bhi mera hath pakad rakha hai. (You are still holding my hand.)"
He immediately let go of her hand.
Viyansh: "Oh, I'm so sorry."
She then rushed towards the bathroom.
Viyansh scratched the back of his neck and pondered.
Viyansh: "What the hell is happening to me since last night? Why do I lose my senses when she's around me?"
Vaidehi's POV,
The moment he released my hand, I hurriedly made my way to the bathroom, my heart pounding just from his mere touch. Even last night, when he held me by my shoulder and then my hand, I felt a fluttering sensation in my stomach for some inexplicable reason. But right now, I'm overjoyed because we both want to start a new chapter in our lives without any hesitation. I hope everything goes smoothly from now on.
After freshening up, I dressed in a light blue ethnic outfit. I applied moisturizer, kohl, perfume, and a hint of lip gloss. The only thing left was my sindoor (vermilion), and it had always been my fantasy that my husband would apply it daily on my hairline. Would he agree to this?
With this thought, I cautiously peered out of the door to check if he was still in the room, and to my delight, he was seated on the couch, engrossed in his phone.
Author,
Caught in a dilemma about whether she should ask or not, Vaidehi took slow steps towards him.
Viyansh engrossed in his phone asked
Viyansh: "What happened, Biwi?
without looking up from his phone.
In her thoughts, Vaidehi wondered, "He didn't even look at me, yet he knew? Does he have a third eye?"
Viyansh, seemingly aware of her inner turmoil, said.
Viyansh: "No I don't have any third eye, Biwi. Now tell me what happened."
Unable to conceal her surprise at his perceptiveness, Viyansh turned his gaze towards her and found himself captivated by her appearance. His eyes lingered on her lips and her mole, and he had to blink several times to divert his attention.
Viyansh: "Speak, Biwi,"
Viyansh urged, breaking her out of her thoughts.
Vaidehi, still avoiding direct eye contact, gathered the courage to speak.
Vaidehi:- "Can I ask you something"
Viyansh approached her, bending slightly to meet her eye level and gaze into her eyes.
Viyansh: "tumhe puchne ki zarurat nahi hai biwi, aap toh sirf hukum kare. (You don't need to ask, Biwi. You just need to order,)"
Viyansh said with a charming smile, mirroring the smile that graced Vaidehi's lips and brought a natural blush to her cheeks.
Vaidehi finally asked.
Vaidehi: "Aap meri mang bhar denge?? (Will you fill my hairline?")
Viyansh straightened up, responding with a playful.
Viyansh: "No."
For the first time, disappointment reflected in Vaidehi's eyes as she gazed directly into Viyansh's eyes. Turning to leave, she felt a sudden tug on her hand, and before she could react, he pulled her towards him. Her hands instinctively landed on his hard chest, while he held her by the shoulder. Though he desired to hold her by the waist, he refrained, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. Vaidehi avoided meeting his gaze, prompting Viyansh to gently lift her chin with his forefinger. Looking into her eyes, he spoke.
Viyansh:- "Aise sawaal karogi toh nahi bharunga, ha agar hak se kahogi toh zarur bhar dunga."
(If you ask, I won't fill it, but if you demand it as your right, I will definitely do it.)
His statement brought a bright smile to her face, revealing her 32-inch smile.
Vaidehi:- "Toh chaliye meri mang bhar dijiye phir" (So, let's proceed and fill my hairline.)
She said this with a hint of authority, and he willingly complied.
Viyansh teased.
Viyansh: "Jo hukum mere aaka (As you command, ma'am.")
She giggled, and for the first time, he heard the delightful sound, which was like soothing music to his ears. This brought a soft smile to his face. He took the vermillion from her hand and delicately filled her hairline. She closed her eyes, savoring the touch.
Expressing her gratitude, Vaidehi said.
Vaidehi: "Thank you, Patidev."
Amused, Viyansh remarked.
Viyansh: "Patidev? Aahaan, good progress, Biwi."
Vaidehi retorted playfully.
Vaidehi: "Haa toh aap bhi toh mujhe biwi biwi keh ke pukaar rahe hai. (Well, you are also calling me 'Biwi, Biwi.'"
Viyansh chuckled at her antics and innocence as she went back to get ready, finishing her preparations by braiding her hair and returning.
Vaidehi asked.
Vaidehi: "Chalein niche?? (Shall we go down?)"
Viyansh: "After you, ma'am."
She chuckled and went out, with Viyansh following her.
As she was about to step on the last stair, Virat shouted.
Virat: "Bhabhi maa, nooooooo!"
Startled by his scream, Vaidehi almost stumbled, but Viyansh swiftly held her by the shoulder.
Viyansh scolded.
Viyansh: "Are you mad, Virat?"
Virat apologized.
Virat: "Sorry Bhai, but bhabhi maa, please wait for 5 more minutes."
Viraj arrived with a spatula in hand, saying.
Viraj: "No need, bhabhi maa, come fast."
Vaidehi requested.
Vaidehi: "Raj, just 5 minutes. I'll perform my morning prayer and come."
Viraj agreed.
Viraj: "Okay."
Then, Vaidehi looked at Viyansh with hope in her eyes and asked.
Vaidehi: "Aap aayenge mere sath?? (Will you come with me?)"
Viyansh responded playfully.
Viyansh: "Aap bulayengi toh kyu nahi. (If you call me, why not?)"
Vaidehi smiled at him and said.
Vaidehi: "Chaliye (Let's go.)"
Subsequently, they proceeded to the mansion's temple, and Vaidehi covered her head with her dupatta. Performing the aarti with Viyansh, she recited some mantras, captivating Viyansh with every graceful move.
Afterward, they headed to the dining area, where Viraj joined them. Running towards Vaidehi, he casually shrugged off Viyansh's hand from her shoulder and encircled her, leading her towards the dining table. Viyansh was left in shock at this unexpected behavior. Vaidehi tilted her head back, looking at her husband's bemused face, and a chuckle escaped her lips.
Vaidehi, puzzled, questioned.
Vaidehi: "What's all this, Raj and Veer?"
Viyansh followed them closely as Virat responded.
Virat: "A surprise for our bhabhi maa."
He then covered her eyes with his hands. Vaidehi, slightly exasperated, remarked.
Vaidehi: "Arehh, what are you doing, Veer?"
Virat chuckled.
Virat: "Have some patience, bhabhi maa."
Both brothers led her to the dining area, with Viyansh following behind. He tucked his hands inside his pant pockets, wearing a smile as he observed the preparations made by the brothers for their sister-in-law.
Vihaan took charge, saying.
Vihaan: "Okay, so Dahi, be ready. Open your eyes on the count of 3, okay?"
Vaidehi responded.
Vaidehi: "Okay, but Ahaan bhai, don't call me Dahi."
(Vaidehi calls Vihaan as Ahaan bhai)
Vihaan royally ignored her complaints, and together, Viraj, Virat, and Vihaan counted down, "3, 2, 1, Surprise."
Virat removed his hands from her eyes, revealing the breakfast preparation they had done for her. Vaidehi was shocked to see the table filled with her favorite dishes and sweets, adorned with flowers to add an aesthetic touch.
Viraj: "Liked it?"
Vaidehi responded with a smile.
Vaidehi: "Loved it."
Vihaan guided her to her seat and said.
Vihaan: "Bhai, you can take a seat beside your wife. Although all this preparation is for my little sister."
He directed this remark to Viyansh while gently caressing Vaidehi's cheeks from behind her chair. Viyansh gave him a glare but complied, sitting beside Vaidehi.
Their father, Mr. Vikram Singhania, emerged from the kitchen. Upon seeing him, Vaidehi burst into laughter as flour was spread all over his face. The others joined in, and Viyansh couldn't help but admire the joyous sound of his wife's laughter.
Vaidehi questioned with a smile.
Vaidehi: "Popsy, what is all this?"
Viyansh, curious, asked.
Viyansh: "What is Popsy?"
Vaidehi: "Popsy means Papa... hehe."
Viyansh sighed: "Oh god."
Vikram: "You don't stay at home, so please be quiet. And my dear ladoo, have this aloo ka paratha."
Vaidehi chuckled.
Vaidehi: "But suddenly, what happened to you guys? Why all this?"
Viraj and Virat stepped forward, bending near Vaidehi's feet. Each of them took one of her hands in theirs and spoke with sincerity.
Viraj began.
Viraj: "Because we want our Bhabhi maa to be happy. We noticed that for the past few days, you've been looking gloomy, and for whatever reason, we don't know."
Vaidehi cast her gaze downward, and Viyansh couldn't help but feel remorseful, knowing that he might have been the cause of her somber mood.
Virat added.
Virat: "Secondly, since the day you came into our lives, this house feels like a home. We have someone who makes tasty food for us, who makes us feel loved, who gave us cute Nick names, who makes us feel that we have a motherly figure waiting at home."
Tears welled up in her eyes. Virat gently wiped away her tears, expressing their sincerity. Vihaan and Vikram also bent near her feet, and all four of them spoke in unison.
Vikram: "We love you Ladoo."
Vihaan: "We love you Dahi."
Viraj: "We love you Cupcake."
Virat: "We love you Sweetie pie."
Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle at their endearing nicknames.
Vaidehi responded: "I love you all too."
Viyansh abruptly stood up from his chair and swiftly pulled Vaidehi towards him, leaving her in a state of shock.
Viyansh: "What is this Ladoo, Dahi, Cupcake, and Sweetie pie? For God's sake, she's my wife, not your favorite Khaane ka samaan (edible item)!"
Vikram intervened, pulling Vaidehi back towards him and making her sit again.
Vikram: "Outsiders are not allowed here."
Viyansh, puzzled, questioned.
Viyansh: "Papa you are addressing me as Outsider?"
Vihaan clarified.
Vihaan: "The one who stays out of this house is an outsider."
Viraj chimed in.
Viraj: "Hai na, Bhabhi maa?" (Right bhabhi ma?)
Vaidehi chuckled and nodded in agreement.
Viyansh, slightly annoyed, turned to Vaidehi, saying.
Viyansh: "Biwi, yaar tum bhi (biwi, even you?)"
Vihaan and Virat teased him, saying.
Vihaan, Virat: "Oh Biiiwwiii,"
Drawing a shy smile from Vaidehi.
Viyansh, adopting a stern tone, asked.
Viyansh: "Do you guys have any issues?"
He looked at Vaidehi, who lowered her gaze. Virat, trying to lighten the mood, said.
Virat: "Okay Sweetie pie, have this."
He then fed her an aloo ka Paratha.
Viyansh retorted.
Viyansh:"What is this Sweetie pie? Call her Bhabhi maa."
Viraj teasingly remarked.
Viraj: "Oh, jealous, huh?"
Viyansh retorted: "Shut up."
Ignoring Viyansh's reaction, Viraj continued.
Viraj: "No, Cupcake, have this."
He fed Vaidehi a spoonful of poha.
Viyansh, clearly not amused, warned.
Viyansh: "I think you guys will have it from me later."
Virat, unfazed, quipped.
Virat: "Oh god, Bhai, she is not just our Bhabhi maa; she is our girlfriend as well."
Viyansh, taken aback, exclaimed.
Viyansh: "What?"
In utter shock, Viyansh literally shouted, and everyone else burst into laughter. Meanwhile, Vaidehi, blushing and smiling, lowered her head. Viyansh, scratching the back of his neck, decided to focus on his breakfast in silence.
The othersâVikram, Vihaan, Viraj, and Viratâwere all busy pampering and feeding Vaidehi, creating a joyous atmosphere. Viyansh observed their bonding with admiration.
Viraj, with a smile, asked.
Viraj: "Okay, Bhabhi maa, tell me, what will you have for lunch?"
Viyansh, reacting swiftly, snapped at the question.
Viyansh: "No need to worry. Biwi, you are coming with me for lunch."
His declaration left Vaidehi in a state of shock, overwhelmed by the sudden attention as it was too much for her that to in a single day. The rest of the family members sported teasing smiles.
In unison, they exclaimed: "Ohhh, Biiwii ke sath lunch (lunch with Biwi!)"
Viyansh, with a mischievous smile, turned to Vaidehi, saying.
Viyansh: "Why are you looking at me like this, Biwi? kya tum mere sath nahi chalogi?? (Won't you come with me?)"
Vaidehi, flustered, initially said.
Vaidehi: "No,"
Viyansh:- "What??"
She quickly corrected herself.
Vaidehi: "I mean, yeah, I'll come."
Viyansh grinned at her reply, and they all enjoyed their breakfast with some teasing and laughter. After the meal, Viyansh turned to Vaidehi.
Viyansh: "Chalein, Biwi? (Shall we go?)"
Vaidehi: "Ji, abhi? (Yes, right now?)"
Viyansh: "Haan ji, Biwi ji. (Yes, my wife.)"
Vaidehi, out of respect, looked at Vikram and sought his permission.
Vaidehi: "Popsy, main jau na? (Dad, can I go?)"
Vikram: "Apne pati ke sath ja rahi hai, usme mujhse kya puchna, pagal ladki, jaa. (You are going with your husband, idiot. Then why are you asking me? Go.)"
She smiled at him.
Vaidehi: "Bye, everyone."
Vihaan: "Bye, Dahi."
Vaidehi: "Ahaan Bhaaii yaar."
Vihaan chuckled.
Viraj: "Bye, Cupcake."
Virat: "Bye, Sweetiepie."
Viyansh glared at both of them.
Vaidehi: "Chaliye. (Let's go.)"
Viyansh kept his arm around Vaidehi's shoulder while taunting his younger ones.
Viyansh: "Aaye bade Cupcake aur Sweetiepie, huh idiots."
With that, both of them left.
