They were on their way back home when Vaidehi stirred awake. Her eyes fluttered open, taking in her surroundings and realizing she was nestled in the car, securely wrapped in her husband's arms. Vaidehi realized she was snuggled comfortably against her husband's chest, his steady heartbeat a comforting presence. His arms were wrapped protectively around her, providing a sense of security and warmth. She lifted her gaze and looked up at him, her eyes meeting his. He was already looking at her, his expression tender and filled with love. Vaidehi felt a rush of affection for him and couldn't help but smile. His response was immediate; his face softened further, and a gentle smile spread across his lips.
Viyansh: "How are you feeling now?"
Vaidehi: "Good."
She sat up slowly, straightening her back and stretching slightly to shake off the remnants of sleep. As she moved, Viyansh gently adjusted her, making sure she was properly settled into her seat. He smoothed a stray lock of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear with a tender touch. Vihaan turned back and noticed that Vaidehi was awake. Concern and relief flashed across his face as he observed her sitting upright, supported by Viyansh.
Vihaan: "Dahi, thik hai tu??"
(are you okay?)
Vaidehi: "Ji bhai."
(yes, Bro)
Vaidehi rested her head comfortably on Viyansh's shoulder, finding solace in his presence. He gently held her hands, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of her palm. The car was enveloped in a calm silence until Vaidehi's gaze shifted to the rearview mirror. Her eyes widened in alarm, and she clutched Viyansh's hand tightly. Viyansh immediately noticed the change in her demeanor, his concern deepening as he observed her uneven breathing.
Viyansh: "Jaan, kya hua??" (
what happened?)
She tried to speak but her voice caught in her throat. Her breathing became shallow and rapid, and Viyansh could feel her trembling. Vaidehi, her hand trembling, pointed towards the rearview mirror. Viyansh followed her gaze, his eyes narrowing as he tried to identify what had caused her sudden distress.
Vaidehi: "Ansh v..vo.. vo... They.."
Viyansh began rubbing Vaidehi's back soothingly, trying to calm her down. Vihaan and Viraj exchanged worried glances as they noticed her distress. Without any delay, Viraj pulled the car over to the side of the road and stopped.
Vihaan: "Dahi, what happened?"
Vihaan asked gently, his eyes full of concern.
Viyansh: "Shhh bachcha, shant ho jao pehle."
(calm down first.)
Vaidehi's eyes began to well up with tears, the fear and anxiety overwhelming her. Viyansh continued to rub her back, his heart aching to see her so distressed. Vihaan and Viraj turned their attention to the rearview mirror, scanning the road behind them for any sign.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, vo... Those cars... The...ey were following me that day as well. Now ag... Again th.."
Viyansh quickly pulled Vaidehi into his embrace, gently pressing her face against his chest to shield her from the sight of the rearview mirror. He held her tightly, his presence a protective barrier against the fear she felt.
Viyansh: "Shhh, jaana, they will not do anything. They are just our bodyguards."
Vaidehi slowly lifted her head from Viyansh's chest, her eyes still glistening with unshed tears.
Vaidehi: "Bodyguards??"
Vihaan: "Haa Dahi, and even that day they were your bodyguards."
Vaidehi: "That day as well? That means you guys were aware that something like this would happen?"
She looked at Viyansh, Vihaan, and Viraj with curiosity, her eyes darting between them.
Viyansh: "Viraj, start the car. And jaana, I'll tell you everything later. bhi tum stress mat lo and kuch nahi hoga okay?"
(Don't stress right now, and nothing will happen, okay?)
Vaidehi nodded in response to their assurances, but she didn't let go of Viyansh's hand, and he didn't pull away either. Instead, he held her close, his arm around her shoulder, offering her the comfort and security she needed. Feeling his embrace, Vaidehi leaned into him, finding solace in his presence. She nestled against his chest, her head resting against his shoulder, as they continued their journey home.
As the car pulled up to Singhania Mansion, Viraj skillfully applied the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a smooth stop. Vihaan and Viraj wasted no time in exiting the car, their expressions a mix of determination and vigilance. Viyansh followed suit, stepping out of the car before swiftly making his way to the other side. With a gentle yet decisive motion, Vihaan opened the door for Viyansh, a silent gesture of support. Without hesitation, Viyansh carefully scooped Vaidehi into his arms, cradling her close to his chest with utmost care and tenderness. As Viyansh carried Vaidehi in his arms towards the door of the house, she couldn't shake off a sense of shyness. Earlier, she had been asleep when he carried her to the car, but now she was wide awake and feeling a bit shy about being cradled in her husband's arms in front of her entire family. Her cheeks flushed with a hint of embarrassment, and she instinctively buried her face in Viyansh's neck, seeking refuge from the gaze of her family. At the door, Eklavya, Vikram, and Virat awaited their arrival, their expressions a mix of amusement and affection as they watched the scene unfold. Upon catching sight of Vikram, Vaidehi's shyness seemed to intensify, and she pressed herself closer to Viyansh, seeking comfort in his embrace. The sight elicited chuckles from the onlookers, who couldn't help but be charmed by Vaidehi's endearing display of bashfulness.
Viyansh: "Relax Biwi."
As Vaidehi snuggled closer into Viyansh's embrace, seeking solace in his presence, they were about to enter the house when Vikram stopped them. His sudden interruption drew Vaidehi's attention, and she glanced at him with a mixture of confusion and curiosity, her brows furrowing slightly as she awaited an explanation.
Vaidehi: "Kya hua Popsy?"
(What happened, Popsy?)
Vikram: "Ab Lakshmi sahi salamat ghar vapas aayi hai toh swagat toh karna hoga na."
(Now that Lakshmi has returned home safely, we must welcome her properly, right?)
Vaidehi: "Sahi salamat kaha hu Popsy??"
(Safely? How, Popsy?)
She pouted, feeling a wave of sadness wash over her as she grappled with her current situation of not being able to walk on her own. Viyansh, sensing her distress, tightened his hold around her, offering her silent reassurance and comfort.
Virat: "Arehhh Sweetiepie, aapko zarurat bhi kya hai chalne ki jab aapke pass itne sare log hai aapki seva ke liye??"
(Hey, Sweetiepie, why do you need to walk when you have so many people to serve you?)
Viraj: "Vahi toh, vaise bhi cupcake vo toh bhai ne mujhe drive karne keh diya varna apni cupcake ko toh main hi leke aata, bhai ka kya bharosa aapko gira Diya toh.."
(Exactly, and cupcake, even though brother asked me to drive, I would've carried you myself. Who knows if brother might drop you?)
Viraj teased Viyansh, trying to lighten up the atmosphere, but received a glare from his elder brother in response. Vaidehi couldn't help but chuckle at the playful banter between the brothers, grateful for the brief moment of levity amidst the tension.
Vihaan: "Bhai yaar itni badi beizzati main toh nahi sehta." (Brother, I wouldn't tolerate such a big insult.)
Virat: "Vihu Bhai, aap bhi kuch kar nahi pate so aap bolo hi mat."
(Vihu Brother, you wouldnât have done anything either, so you better stay quiet.)
Vihaan playfully smacked Virat's head, eliciting a yelp of surprise from him. Virat protested, rubbing the spot where Vihaan had hit him.
Viyansh: "Vihu, meri taraf se ek is Raj ko bhi de."
(give this to Raj from my side too.)
Vihaan: "Jo hukum bade bhaiya."
(As you command, big brother.)
Vihaan, not wanting to leave Viraj out, also playfully smacked his head, prompting both Viraj and Virat to whine in unison. Their antics elicited giggles from Vaidehi, who found their brotherly bickering quite amusing.
Vaidehi: "Ok ok mere monkeys ko Maro mat, ahaan bhai aur Ansh aap, aap dono ko bakshungi nahi main bas thik hone do mujhe."
(Okay, okay, donât hit my monkeys. And brother and Ansh, I wonât spare you both once I recover.)
Viyansh: "Itni si toh ho kar hi kya logo tum biwi??"
(What can you do, being so tiny, biwi?)
Eklavya: "Khokhli dhamiya deti hai bas little bunny."
(She only makes hollow threats, little bunny.)
Vaidehi shot a playful glare at Eklavya before leaning towards Viyansh's ears and whispering mischievously.
Vaidehi: "Kamre me batati hu."
(I'll show you in the room.)
Viyansh turned to look at her with a curious expression, but their attention was quickly diverted when Vikram grabbed their attention.
Vikram: "Chalo ab meri ladoo ko andar aane do."
(Come on, let my ladoo come inside now.)
With a solemn air, Vikram took charge, performing the Aarti ceremony for Viyansh and Vaidehi as they stood together, their bond evident in the way they leaned into each other for support. The flickering flames of the Aarti lamp cast a warm glow, illuminating their faces as Vikram circled the light in a ritualistic manner. As the melodious strains of the Aarti filled the air, Vikram then applied the sacred tika on their foreheads, a symbol of blessings and protection. The vermilion paste, dabbed gently onto their skin, served as a mark of divine grace, sealing their bond and invoking auspiciousness for their journey ahead.
Vikram: "Ok now come inside."
Viyansh entered the house, carrying Vaidehi in his arms. The grand foyer was filled with the household staff, maids and servants, all standing respectfully in line to welcome them back. The sight of so many people made Vaidehi feel intensely self-conscious. She quickly hid her face in Viyansh's neck, trying to avoid the curious and admiring glances directed their way.
Vaidehi: "Ansh, please jaldi kamre me le chaliye."
(please take me to the room quickly.)
Viyansh: "Vahi Jaa rahe hai jaana."
(Weâre going there)
He moved towards their room, stepping inside with Vaidehi cradled gently in his arms. The soft lighting and familiar decor provided an immediate sense of comfort. Viyansh walked over to the bed and carefully placed her down, making sure she was comfortable. He adjusted the pillows behind her back and at her sides, his actions meticulous and tender, a testament to his overprotectiveness. Viyansh then turned his attention to her injured foot. He carefully placed a pillow beneath it, ensuring it was elevated properly.
Viyansh: "Now listen."
Vaidehi: "Yes, boss."
Viyansh: "I'm not joking, jaana."
Vaidehi: "Me too, Ansh."
With a playful smile, she made her remark, and he shook his head, unable to suppress a smile in return.
Viyansh: "Ab tum sirf araam karogi, no Masti, no unhealthy food, only rest, got it??"
(Now you will only rest, no fun, no unhealthy food, only rest. Got it?)
Vaidehi: "and no nahana as well."
(And no bathing as well.)
Viyansh: "Shut up."
She giggled softly, and as everyone else entered the room after knocking, she greeted them with a warm smile.
Vikram: "How are you feeling now, ladoo?"
Vaidehi: "I'm back home, Popsy. Of course, I'm feeling great."
Vikram affectionately patted her head.
Vihaan: "Okay, then you rest. We'll leave now."
As everyone began to leave, Viyansh lingered behind, but Vaidehi halted each one of them, wanting to say something before they departed.
Vaidehi: "Ruko sab." (
Stop, everyone.)
All paused and turned their attention towards her, waiting to hear what she had to say.
Virat: "What happened, sweetiepie?"
Vaidehi: "Main janti hu aap sab ne mujhse kuch nahi kaha because mujhe stress nahi Dena chahte the. But I'm fine now, please, aap sabko jo bolna hai boliye mujhe, daat lijiye but please don't trouble yourself because of me."
(I know you all didn't say anything to me because you didn't want to stress me out. But I'm fine now. Please, tell me whatever you want to say, scold me, but don't trouble yourselves because of me.)
She said it with a hint of sadness, and the effect was immediate. The men in the room, who were not strong enough to see her upset, quickly gathered around her. All of them sat near her except for Viyansh. He understood that his father, brothers, and wife needed this moment together, so he stood back, silently witnessing the deep bond and love shared between them. Viraj quickly grabbed Vaidehi's hand, his grip firm yet comforting. Virat took her other hand, his touch gentle but full of emotion. Virat, known for being the more emotional one, already had tears welling up in his eyes. This time, even Viraj, usually the stoic one, couldnât hold back his tears. The sight of their beloved Vaidehi in discomfort was too much for them. Witnessing the vulnerability of his brothers, Viyansh felt a lump form in his throat. His own eyes stung with unshed tears as he was moved by the depth of their love and the strength of their bond.
Viraj: "Bhabhi maa, aapne kyu kiya aisa. When that person pointed gun on Mrs. Oberoi then why did you took that bullet on you???"
(why did you do that? )
Virat: "Don't you know how much you matter to us?"
Vihaan: "Dahi, you are the reason this house has become a home. Didn't you think about us? What would we do if something ha..."
As the emotions ran high in the room, Vihaan's attempt to speak was cut short by a sudden surge of tears, his voice choked with emotion. His pain was palpable, echoing the depth of his love and concern for Vaidehi. Vaidehi, feeling the weight of her family's emotions, lowered her head in silent acknowledgment, listening intently to each person's words and concerns. She understood the depth of their love and the genuine care they held for her well-being. he understood their worries and complaints, knowing they came from a place of deep care. They were not wrong. She meant everything to this family, and she felt the same way about them.
Vikram: "Ladoo, I agree you must have been emotionally weak at that time, but taking such an impulsive decision was not good, beta. yu kiya aisa?? Pata hai na we are very selfish when it comes to you." (Why did you do that?)
he finally let her tears fall down her cheeks, unable to hold back any longer. But both Viraj and Virat, her "monkeys", were quick to wipe the tears away. Their immediate and tender actions brought a chuckle from Vaidehi, despite her emotional state. The concern and love in their eyes were unmistakable, and it warmed her heart. With a gentle squeeze of their hands, Vaidehi expressed her gratitude and love for her brothers. She took a moment to compose herself before speaking, her voice soft but filled with sincerity.
Vaidehi: "I'm sorry, I know meri vajah se aap sab kitna pareshan huye hai, main bahaut tang kiya na aap sabko."
(I'm sorry. I know you all were very worried because of me. I troubled you all a lot.)
Vikram: "Shut up, hume tang karna huk hai Tera beta, par ye koi tarika nahi hua na."
(Shut up. It's your right to irritate us, beta, but this wasn't the way.)
Vaidehi: "I know Popsy isiliye I'm sorry to everyone of you. Main janti hu maine galti ki par main kya karti aapko pata hai na my equation with my parents and when that men told me everything my mind went completely blank and then Mrs. Oberoi came and hugged me and I got overwhelmed and done that. Please mujhe maaf kar dijiye."
(I know, Popsy. That's why I'm sorry to each one of you. I know I made a mistake, but you know about my equation with my parents, and when that man told me everything, my mind went completely blank. Then Mrs. Oberoi came and hugged me, and I got overwhelmed and did that. Please forgive me.)
As Vaidehi started crying, her tears flowing freely now, she felt a wave of emotions crashing over her. Each one of the men in the room had tears in their eyes, their hearts breaking to see her in such pain. Vihaan, unable to bear her distress any longer, quickly moved to hug her tightly, offering her solace and comfort in his embrace. Feeling the safety of Vihaan's arms around her, Vaidehi couldn't help but think about her brother, even though her memories of him were fragmented and unclear. Flashes of their time together and the day they were separated flickered through her mind, adding to her anguish. Viyansh watched her cry, his heart aching with worry. He wanted nothing more than to go to her, to hold her and comfort her, but he knew that his brothers were there for her, providing the support she needed in that moment. So he stayed back, his concern evident in his eyes as he watched the scene unfold.
Vihaan: "Shhh dahi Rona nahi hai."
(no crying.)
Vaidehi: "I'm sorry, bhai. I won't repeat anything like this ever again."
Vikram: "Do you really think we'll let you do anything like this?"
As Vihaan gently pulled back from the embrace, Viraj, wiping away his own tears, stepped forward with a tender expression. Moved by his sister's tears and the depth of her emotions, he enveloped her in a heartfelt hug.
Viraj: "We are sorry, bhabhi maa. We weren't there for you when..."
Before he could finish his sentence, she playfully slapped him on his bicep, causing him to pull back in surprise.
Vaidehi: "Pitai lagaungi bakwaas ki toh. Dare you blamed yourself for anything."
(If you say anything nonsense, I'll smack you. How dare you blame yourself for anything?)
Virat: "Bakwaas nahi bhabhi maa sach hai, humne hi galti ki aapko Ghar pe akele..."
(It's not nonsense, bhabhi maa, it's the truth. We made the mistake of leaving you alone at home...)
She playfully slapped Virat's cheeks, eliciting a surprised but amused reaction from him.
Vaidehi: "Chup bilkul chup. Hadd karte ho aap log bhi yaha main apni galti ki mafi mang Rahi hu aap sab khud ko blame kar rahe ho."
(Shut up, absolutely shut up. You're crossing the line; you guys are blaming yourselves.)
Vikram: "Ok no more blame games. Ab saare chup ho jao. Aisa lag raha hai mere bachcho ki aakhon se nigra falls beh rahe hai."
(Okay, no more blame games. Now, everyone be quiet. It seems like Niagara Falls is flowing from my kids' eyes.)
They all chuckled softly, the tension easing as they wiped away their tears, finding solace in each other's company.
Vaidehi: "Yes, Popsy, now only happy, happy family, that's it."
With a grin, she made her declaration, and everybody responded by giving her a thumbs up in agreement.
Vikram: "Okay, now we'll leave."
Vaidehi: "Wait."
Vihaan: "Ab kya hua??"
(What happened now?)
Vaidehi: "Sab ke sab suno, aap sab log abhi ke abhi jaake insaan banenge, for God sake groom yourselves ya Ansh ko bhaloo banne me competition kyu de rahe ho aap log."
(Listen, everyone. Right now, all of you go and groom yourselves. For God's sake, why are you all competing with Ansh to become a bear?)
They shared a hearty laugh together, feeling the weight of their worries momentarily lifted in the warmth of their shared camaraderie.
Viraj: "Ok bhabhi maa abhi aapke cute cute monkeys ban ke aate hai."
(we'll come back as your cute monkeys.)
She affectionately patted both his and Virat's cheeks before saying something to Vihaan.
Vaidehi: "Good. And Ahaan bhai aap bhi, Varna pata chala kisi ladki ne mana kar diya toh main kaha dundhungi devrani."
(Good. And Ahaan bhai, you too. Otherwise, if some girl refuses, I'll never find a sister-in-law.)
He shot her a playful glare while the rest of them couldn't help but giggle at the lighthearted moment.
Vihaan: "Tu thik ho ja phir khair nahi teri."
(You get well first, then we'll see if you have any luck.)
Vaidehi: "Popsy suna aapne?"
(did you hear that?)
Vikram: "Kya karega tu Vihu??"
(What will you do, Vihu?)
Vihaan: "Kuch nahi papa Ja Raha hu main, bye."
(Nothing, Dad I'm going now, bye.)
With laughter in their hearts, Vihaan, Viraj, and Virat bid their farewells, leaving the room with playful banter and teasing among themselves.
Vaidehi: "Ansh aap bhi jaaiye insaan banke aaiye, hospital me bhi meri baat nahi mani aur bhaloo Bane ghum rahe hai."
(Ansh, you too go and come back as a human. In the hospital, you didn't listen to me and were roaming around like a bear.)
Viyansh: "Shuru ho gaya tumhare hukum chalana?"
(Have you started giving orders again?)
Vaidehi: "Dikkat hai aapko?"
(Does it bother you?)
Viyansh: "Kabhi nahi Rani saheba, abhi insaan banke aata hu."
(Never, My Queen. Now, I'll come back as a human.)
Her giggle filled the room, bringing a smile to Viyansh's face, a moment of warmth amid their shared laughter.
Viyansh: "Papa aap Biwi ke sath rahiye kuch der main abhi aaya."
(Dad, you stay with my wife for a while, I'll be right back.)
Acknowledging Vikram's nod, Viyansh excused himself and headed towards the washroom.
Vaidehi: "Popsyyyy."
With a hint of suspicion, Vikram turned to face her as she called out to him in an unusually sweet voice.
Vikram: "Kya chahiye ab?"
(What do you need now?)
Vaidehi: "How smart Popsy aap samajh gaye"
(How smart, Popsy, you understood.)
Vikram: "Experience beta, har baar yahi karti hai tu"
(You always do this.)
She giggled.
Vaidehi: "And aap har baar man jate hai."
(And you always agree.)
Vikram giggled.
Vikram: "Now tell me, what does my ladoo want?"
Vaidehi: "Aloo Puri, milegi??"
(will I get it?)
Vikram: "Sure"
Her sudden excitement caught Vikram off guard, but he couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm.
Vaidehi: "really?"
Vikram: "Yes, but after 10 days."
Vikram chuckled at her whine.
Vaidehi: "Popsy yaar."
Vikram: "Kya Popsy yaar, firstly doctor ye sab mana kiya hai and secondly tere Ansh ko pata chala na pura Ghar sar pe utha lega vo. Pata hai na uska gussa."
(What Popsy? Firstly, the doctor has forbidden all this, and secondly, if your Ansh finds out, he will be furious. You know his temper.)
Vaidehi: "Ha pata hai bilkul aap ki tarah."
(Yes, I know, just like you.)
Vikram smiled slightly.
Vikram: "No, Viyansh is just like his mom, an angry young man, just like his mother, Vidya used to get very angry."
Vaidehi smiled lightly and looked at Vikram with curious eyes.
Vaidehi: "Popsy Ab..voo...aap"
(You)
Vikram held her hands. Feeling Vikram's reassuring touch, Vaidehi looked at him.
Vikram: "Kya baat hai ladoo?"
(What's the matter)
Vaidehi: "Vo kya aap mujhe mumma ke bare me aur momzee ke bare me batayenge??"
(will you tell me about Mumma and Momzee?)
Vikram: "Mumma and momzee??"
Vaidehi: "Kavya mumma and Vidya momzee."
Vikram chuckled.
Vikram: "Popsy, momzee kaha se lati h ye sab words."
(where do you get all these words from?)
She responded with a smile.
Vikram: "Kya Janna hai??"
(What do you want to know?)
Vaidehi: "That man who kidnapped me, he said Mumma aur momzee friends the and aap aur momzee bhi mujhe bachpan se jante the. Toh mujhe bataiye na about my childhood, my mumma, my momzee vo dono kaisi thi sab kuch."
(That man who kidnapped me said Mumma and Momzee were friends, and you and Momzee knew me since childhood. So, please tell me about my childhood, my Mumma, my Momzee, everything.)
Vikram affectionately patted her on the head.
Vikram: "Kavya and Vidya both were childhood bestie's. Me and Vidya and Kavya and Abhinav humari love marriage hui thi. Vidya ko main college me Mila tha she was my junior and Abhinav aur Kavya toh school se sath the. Phir humari shadi huyi aur phir Viyansh hua but hume toh beti chahiye thi lekin phir Vihaan ho gaya."
(Kavya and Vidya were childhood best friends. Vidya and I, and Kavya and Abhinav, had love marriages. I met Vidya in college; she was my junior, and Abhinav and Kavya were schoolmates. Then we got married, and Viyansh was born, but we wanted a daughter, and then Vihaan came.)
Vikram chuckled, while Vaidehi simply smiled in return.
Vikram: "Then we decided ki abhi Viyansh aur Vihaan dono bahaut chote hai toh we can't plan for another child. And Vihaan ke hone ke kuch waqt baad hi Vidya ko invitation aaya, Abhinav aur Kavya ki shadi ka. Everybody was very happy. Then kuch saalon baad Kavya ko tu huyi. You were a born through C section toh Vidya ne hi sambhala tha tujhe 2 dino tak and she felt really connected to you. Infact vo toh tujhe Ghar bhi le aayi thi, 2 dino Tak tu humare sath hi thi humare ghar pe, that's the reason we both were so connected to you. Phir Kavya ko discharge mila aur Kavya aur abhinav tujhe le gaye. Vidya bahaut low feel kar Rahi thi tab. You know Vidya ne tabhi decide kar liya tha Teri aur Viyansh ki shadi ka isiliye usne hi tera naam Vaidehi rakha tha."
(Then we decided that Viyansh and Vihaan were too young, so we couldn't plan for another child. And shortly after Vihaan was born, Vidya got an invitation to Abhinav and Kavya's wedding. Everyone was very happy. A few years later, Kavya had you. You were born through a C-section, and Vidya took care of you for two days. She felt very connected to you. In fact, she brought you home for two days; that's why we were so connected to you. Then Kavya was discharged, and Kavya and Abhinav took you. Vidya felt very low at that time. Vidya decided that she would take care of you and Viyansh, so she named you Vaidehi because she wanted you to marry Viyansh in the future.)
Vaidehi: "Really, Momzee ne mera naam rakha tha."
(Really, Momzee named me?)
Vikram: "Yes. Everything was going well, but when you were four months old, we found out that Kavya had liver cancer, and at that time, there weren't many treatments available for cancer. Abhinav even contacted specialist doctors in London and other countries, but nothing helped."
As Vikram spoke about Vaidehi's mother, tears welled up in her eyes, her heart heavy with emotion at the mention of the woman who had played such a significant role in her life.
Vikram: "Still, in such a condition, she consulted the doctor to know if you were safe, as you were in her womb, and luckily, you were fine. But unfortunately, we lost Kavya a few months later. Abhinav was completely shattered, and then Vidya took care of you. Most of the time, she spent with you. But Harshvardhan uncle thought that Abhinav was young, and you were too small, and both of you needed someone to look after, so he got Sangeeta's proposal for Abhinav, and Sangeeta instantly connected with you because, Obviously mera ladoo tha hi itna golu molu pyaar sa."
(obviously, my little darling was so chubby and cute.)
Vikram affectionately pinched her cheeks, eliciting a smile from Vaidehi despite the tears in her eyes.
Vikram: "But you were very connected to Vidya, and even we considered you as our daughter. But then Vidya thought that Sangeeta would be a really good mother for you, and she should maintain some distance from you so that you could bond with Sangeeta. So she took a promise from Harshvardhan uncle that you would be our daughter-in-law, and he agreed. Later, when Sangeeta got married to Abhinav, Vidya started distancing herself from you. Initially, it was difficult for her, but Viyansh and Vihaan needed her, so she engaged herself with them. Still, even after two years, when she couldn't get over you, we planned for a girl child, and then your two monkeys came. It's not that we were disappointed, but your void was something that no one could fill."
Vaidehi smiled, seemingly transported into the memories Vikram was recounting, as if experiencing them all over again.
Vikram: "Then that accident happened, and you lost your memory. After three years of that accident, we even lost Vidya in another accident."
As Vikram spoke, memories of his wife flooded his mind, and tears welled up in his eyes. Recollecting the moments they shared, he felt a mixture of joy and sorrow, cherishing their time together yet mourning her absence.
Vaidehi: "It's ok Popsy mujhe aur nahi Janna aap please Rona nahi."
(I don't want to know more. Please, don't cry.)
Vaidehi reached out and gently wiped away Vikram's tears, offering him comfort and support in his moment of emotional vulnerability.
Vikram: "Mujhe bol ke khud ro rhi hai. Viyansh ne dekha na toh mujhe nahi chodega."
(You're telling me not to cry when you're crying. If Viyansh sees this, he won't spare me.)
She chuckled softly as Vikram gently wiped away the tears from her cheeks, his gesture of care and affection bringing a warm smile to her face.
Vikram: "Aur bhi kuch cheezein hai jo Viyansh batayega toh ho thik rahega. Samjhi ab araam kar tu."
(There are some other things that Viyansh will tell you, so it's better if you rest now.)
She nodded with a smile, expressing her agreement.
Vikram: "Achcha bata dinner me kya khayegi??"
(what do you want for dinner?)
Vaidehi: "Kya Popsy, Jale pe namak chidak rahe ho??"
(What, Popsy? Are you teasing me?)
Vikram: "Matlab??"
(What do you mean?)
Vaidehi: "kya matlab matlab, aapko pata hai na khane toh mujhe vahi milega Jo aapka pyaara beta kahega toh phir mujhse kyu puch rahe hai??"
(You know you'll give me whatever your dear son says, so why are you asking me?)
Vikram chuckled in response to her complaints.
Vikram: "Haa ye bhi hai Viyansh jo kahega vahi banega."
(Yes, Viyansh will decide what we'll have.)
Vaidehi: "Vahi na Hitler jaise mere piche Lage pade rehte hai, aapko pata hai Popsy aapke bete ne mujhe date pe bhi salads khilaye the."
(He's always behind me like Hitler. You know, Popsy, your son even made me eat salads on our date.)
Vikram: "Sharam nahi aati apne Popsy se apni date ki baatein share karti hai."
(Aren't you ashamed of sharing details of your date with your Popsy?)
Vaidehi: "Toh kya hua aap bhi toh momzee ko date pe leke jate rahoge na?? Bolo bolo."
(Even you must have taken Momzee on dates, didn't you? Tell me, tell me.)
Vaidehi started laughing as Vikram blushed in response to her teasing.
Vaidehi: "Hayy Popsy aap blush kar rahe ho."
(Oh, Popsy, you're blushing.)
She playfully pinched his cheeks.
Vikram: "Chup beshram."
(Be quiet, shameless.)
She gestured for him to keep quiet by placing her finger on her lips, eliciting a laugh from Vikram.
Vikram: "Achcha bata toh kya khayegi dinner me."
(Alright, what do you want for dinner?)
Vaidehi made faces and exclaimed.
Vaidehi: "Jo bhi aapka Hitler beta bolega vahi de dijiye aap bhi kaha aaj kal meri sunte hai."
(Whatever your Hitler son says, just give that. You've been listening to me a lot these days.)
Just as Vikram was about to speak, they heard Viyansh's voice.
Viyansh: "Aur koi complaints biwi saheba???"
As Vaidehi and Vikram glanced towards the closet door, they noticed Viyansh leaning against it, dressed in a simple yet comforting ensemble of a blue tee and white sweatpants.
Vikram: "Ok ladoo bye, see you at dinner."
Vaidehi hastily took hold of his hand.
Vaidehi: "Kya Popsy sher ki gufa me apni ladoo ko akele chod ke ja rahe ho."
(Are you leaving your ladoo alone in the lion's den?)
She whispered softly to Vikram.
Vikram: "Sher ki gufa me hath dalne maine thodi bola tha ab jhel."
(I didn't ask you to step into the lion's den; now deal with it.)
Vaidehi smiled sheepishly after Vikram left.
Vaidehi: "Ahh, Ansh, woowwww, you look so handsome now."
Sitting beside Vaidehi on the bed, Viyansh leaned towards her.
Viyansh: "Am I Hitler?"
Vaidehi: "What?? Kisne mere pati ko Hitler bola batao??"
(What? Who called my husband Hitler?)
As Viyansh came closer to her, their faces were now just inches apart.
Viyansh: "Tumne hi kaha hai jaan, ab bolo na ab awaaz kyu nahi aa rhi??"
(You did, jaan. Now tell me, why can't I hear you now?)
Feeling the electricity between them, Vaidehi slowly wrapped her hands around Viyansh's neck, pulling him even closer. Their bodies seemed to melt into each other, their breaths mingling in the space between them. With their noses now touching, they could feel the warmth of each other's breath, their heartbeats echoing in perfect harmony.
Vaidehi: "I guess you were serious when you said I can feel it for 24 hours."
Vaidehi's playful wink sent a flutter through Viyansh's heart, his cheeks flushing with a deep shade of crimson in response to her teasing gesture. Despite his attempt to pull back, her grip on him remained firm, her hold strong and unwavering and he can't even apply any pressure right now on her.
Viyansh: "I'm seriously going to consult the doctor tomorrow pakka tumhara dimaag kharab ho gaya hai. Hey bhagwan meri bholi bhali sharmili biwi kaha hai vapas dedo mujhe."
(I'm seriously going to consult the doctor tomorrow. You must have gone mad. Oh God, please return my innocent and shy wife to me.)
Feeling Vaidehi's finger tracing a delicate path across his face, Viyansh couldn't help but shiver at the sensation. Her touch was light and tender, sending tingles of electricity coursing through his veins. He closed his eyes briefly, savoring the warmth of her touch, the softness of her fingertips against his skin.
Vaidehi: "Sharmane ke liye kuch kijiye toh sharmau na main."
(To feel shy, you have to do something to make me shy.)
With a firm yet gentle grip, Viyansh took hold of Vaidehi's hand, pulling back slightly to create some distance between them.
Viyansh: "Tum thoda rest Karo yaar Biwi pagal ho gayi ho tum."
(Rest for a while, yaar. Biwi, you've gone crazy.)
Vaidehi: "Ha Ansh, aapke pyaar me, aapki aakhon ka jaadu hi aisa hai kya batau."
(Yes, Ansh, because of your love, the magic of your eyes is like this, what should I say?)
Viyansh's cheeks flushed with a deep crimson hue, his shyness evident in the way he averted his gaze, unable to meet Vaidehi's eyes. Despite his attempts to maintain his composure, the intensity of his blush betrayed the tumult of emotions swirling within him.
Viyansh: "Chup kar jao yaar please."
(Just be quiet, please.)
He couldn't help but smile back at her laughter, realizing that her joy was infectious and exactly what he needed in that moment.
Viyansh: "You wait here; I'll check the preparations for dinner."
As Viyansh stood up from the bed, Vaidehi reached out and gently clasped his hand in hers, her touch grounding him in the midst of his swirling thoughts. When he looked into her eyes, he saw a myriad of questions reflected back at him, each one filled with curiosity.
Viyansh: "Kya hua bachcha."
(What's wrong, baby?)
Vaidehi: "Bas kuch puchna hai."
(I just wanted to ask something.)
