As they made their way towards the entrance of the house, Viyansh reached his car and came to a halt. Turning around, he awaited his wife, who was following closely, diligently adjusting her dupatta. Completely absorbed in her task, she inadvertently bumped into her husband's firm chest, momentarily interrupting her focused endeavor.

Vaidehi: "Oouuhh"

Vaidehi winced as she rubbed her forehead, feeling the slight impact of the collision. Viyansh, crossing his arms over his chest, playfully teased her.

Viyansh: "Why are you so clumsy?"

Confused by his comment, Vaidehi looked at him.

Vaidehi: "Just because I bumped into you once, I'm clumsy?"

Viyansh, raising his eyebrows, questioned her claim.

Viyansh: "Once? Are you sure?"

Vaidehi, feigning deep thought, responded with a mischievous smile.

Vaidehi: "Yeah, well, maybe once or twice."

Viyansh playfully teased Vaidehi about her clumsiness, reminiscing their first encounter.

Viyansh: "Biwi, let me remind you-you're so clumsy that on the very first day of our marriage, you bumped into me. Since then, I've noticed that wherever you walk, you're bound to get yourself hurt on some object or another."

Vaidehi pouted in response, her innocent expression melting Viyansh's heart.

Vaidehi: "Ahh, you are so hard."

She rubbed her forehead, and Viyansh's eyes widened in momentary shock.

Viyansh: "What do you mean?"

Vaidehi, still rubbing her forehead, clarified.

Vaidehi: "Your chest is hard; my head is hurting."

Viyansh, realizing the innocent mix-up, sighed in relief.

Viyansh thought: "God, Biwi, how innocent you are Bina soche samjhe bolti ho (you don't even think before speaking)"

As Vaidehi received a call, Viyansh opened the car door for her, and she took a seat inside. Viyansh settled into the driver's seat, ready for their next adventure.

Vaidehi greeted her grandfather over the phone.

Vaidehi: "Heyy, Dadu."

Harshvardhan: "Hey Vaidehi, how are you?"

As Viyansh leaned in towards Vaidehi, a sudden jolt of surprise ran through her. The proximity of their faces, just inches apart, sent a subtle thrill through the air. Vaidehi, caught off guard, felt a flutter in her stomach, unsure of Viyansh's intentions. He surprised her by taking hold of the seatbelt. Her eyes widened slightly as Viyansh smoothly reached for the seat belt. The atmosphere in the car seemed to change, a subtle tension lingering between them. Viyansh's movements were deliberate as he took hold of the seat belt, his fingers brushing against Vaidehi's ever so lightly. Their faces remained tantalizingly close as Viyansh skillfully buckled up the seat belt. With the seat belt secured, Viyansh leaned back into his seat, a faint but undeniable smirk playing on his lips, noticing the effect he had on her.

Harshvardhan: "Vaidehi, are you there, beta?"

Vaidehi, now composed, replied to her grandfather, while Viyansh drove with a satisfied smile.

Vaidehi: "Ye..ye..yes, Dadu, I'm good. But tell me, how are you? Did you have your breakfast? Also, do you remember you have a doctor's appointment tomorrow? Should I accompany you?"

Viyansh smiled, appreciating her caring nature as she continued to speak without giving her grandfather a chance to respond.

Viyansh: "Calm down, Biwi. Let him speak."

Harshvardhan: "Is Viyansh with you?"

Vaidehi: "Yes."

Harshvardhan: "Oh, you guys are going somewhere?"

Vaidehi: "Yes, we are going for lunch. But this is not the answer to my question."

Harshvardhan: "Yes, I had my breakfast, and I remember the appointment. I'm not going alone. So, you just chill. Also, put the phone on speaker now."

Vaidehi: "Why so?"

Harshvardhan: "Do it, bachche."

Vaidehi put the phone on speaker as requested.

Vaidehi: "Done."

Harshvardhan: "Hello, Damad ji (son-in-law), how are you?"

Vaidehi chuckled at his choice of words.

Viyansh: "I'm good, Dadu, and I hope you know that you can call me Viyansh."

Harshvardhan: (giggles) "Yeah, yeah, I know, young man, but I'm from the old generation, you know."

Vaidehi: "But you are still looks like a young, handsome man."

Harshvardhan chuckled.

Harshvardhan: "Well, then I think I should not disturb you guys. Carry on with your date. Bye."

Viyansh: "Bye, Dadu."

With this, the call got disconnected. Vaidehi curiously looked at Viyansh. Sensing her gaze on him, he asked her.

Viyansh: "pucho kya puchna hai biwi (ask what you want to ask)"

Vaidehi: "Are we going on a date?"

Viyansh: "Yeah."

She smiled and turned her face towards the window, knowing that she must be blushing now. After some time, she asked again.

Vaidehi: "But lunch ke liye toh waqt hai, toh abhi hum kaha ja rahe hai? (But we have time for lunch, so where are we going now?)"

Viyansh: "Umm, I thought shopping chalte hai. What do you say?"

He said while taking a turn and flexing his veins.

Vaidehi: "Umm, nahi. (Umm, no.)"

Viyansh: "Then where do you wanna go?"

Vaidehi: "Agar aap gussa nahi karenge toh ek jagah suggest Karu?"

(If you won't get angry, can I suggest a place?)

Viyansh: "Pehle toh tum ye batao ki tumhe Aisa kyu lagta h ki main humesha gussa hi karta hu."

(First tell me, why do you think I'm always angry?)

Vaidehi: "Mujhe Raj aur Veer ne bataya hai aap office me aapke employees pe humesha gussa karte hai, infact kabhi kabhi toh Raj ko bhi daant te hai aap."

(Raj and Veer told me that you always get angry with your employees in the office, in fact, sometimes you scold Raj as well.)

Viyansh: "Vo sirf jab koi galti karta hai or else I'm a decent man yaar Biwi. And tum un dono se dur Raha Karo pata nahi kya kya galat batein batate hai mere baare me... Ghar jaake dekhta hu dono ko."

(That's only when someone makes a mistake. Otherwise, I'm a decent man, dear wife. And you stay away from those two, who knows what false things they say about me... I'll deal with them when I get home.)

Vaidehi: "See, aap phir gussa kar rahe hai dono pe. (See, you're getting angry at them again.)"

Viyansh: "Achcha okay nahi karunga ab batao kaha jaana hai. (Okay, fine, I won't now. Tell me where you want to go.)"

Vaidehi: "Actually, before marriage, I used to visit an orphanage, but it's been quite a long time since I've been there. So can we?"

Viyansh looked at her, who was already looking at him with pleading eyes, and smiled at her.

Viyansh: "Sure."

Soon, they reached the orphanage with some snacks for the kids. Viyansh parked the car, and then both of them headed inside. Vaidehi was once again on the verge of stumbling near the stairs when Viyansh quickly reached out, holding her and shooting her a disapproving glare.

Vaidehi: "Sorry."

She said with a pout, and he chuckled at her.

Viyansh: "Chalo ab clumsy girl. (Let's go now.)"

They entered the orphanage, and a young boy in his 20s approached them.

Boy (Aarav): "Hey Vaidehi, how are you?"

He said in an overly sweet voice, which didn't go unnoticed by Viyansh. Viyansh instinctively encircled his arms around Vaidehi's shoulders, and she smiled at Aarav before replying.

Vaidehi: "Hi Aarav, I'm good. How are you? And how are the kids?"

Aarav: "All are good. Who's he?"

Vaidehi: "Ohh ye, ye Pati hai mere. (Oh, him? He's my husband.)"

Viyansh's chest filled with an unknown sense of pride when she introduced him as her husband. However, he noticed that Aarav's face became gloomy.

Aarav: "Ohh, Hi sir. Come inside."

Both of them cherished their time spent with the kids in the orphanage. Viyansh couldn't help but admire how his wife transformed into a child herself while interacting with the kids, showcasing her innate joy and playfulness. Internally, he acknowledged that she was a child at heart, and witnessing her happiness brought a genuine smile to his face. The experience not only brought joy to Vaidehi but also lifted Viyansh's spirits, allowing him to reconnect with a sense of happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time.

As they headed towards the restaurant for their lunch date, the drive remained serene, marked by a comfortable silence. Though no words were exchanged, the quietude seemed to envelop them, bringing a sense of peace and contentment.

Upon reaching their destination, a quaint dhaba (Indian restaurant), Viyansh parked the car. He stepped out and walked around to the other side to open the door for Vaidehi. Extending his hand, he waited for her to place her hand in his. She did so, and he gently assisted her in stepping out of the car, a small yet chivalrous gesture that added a touch of warmth to their lunch outing.

Vaidehi's excitement was palpable as she exclaimed.

Vaidehi: "Ahhh, Dhaba!"

Viyansh: "Yeah, actually, this is one of my favorite places to eat. Hope you like it."

Vaidehi expressed her enthusiasm, saying.

Vaidehi: "Of course, I like it. Honestly, I thought aap mujhe kisi fancy restaurant me le jayenge Jo mujhe pasand nahi hai. (You will take me to any fancy restaurant which I don't like)."

As they walked inside, Viyansh couldn't resist putting his arm around her shoulder once again.

Viyansh: "Toh tumne mujhe kuch kaha kyu nahi?? (Then why didn't you tell me that)?"

Vaidehi: "Because the first time you were taking me somewhere, so I didn't want to spoil it with any unnecessary wishes."

Viyansh looked at her in amusement, thinking.

Viyansh thoughts: "How can anybody be so selfless."

They reached a table and took their seats.

Viyansh: "Kya khaogi?? (What will you have?)"

Vaidehi: "Jo bhi aap order kare (Whatever you'll order)."

Viyansh, surprised, said.

Viyansh: "Ye kya baat huyi, tumhe Jo khana h vo batao (What is this, tell me what you want to eat)."

Vaidehi: "Aap hi ne toh kaha aapki favourite place hai ye toh Jo achcha ho aap order kar dijiye (You only said that this is your favorite place, so whatever is nice, just order that)."

Viyansh, trying to consider her preferences, said.

Viyansh: "But what about your..."

Vaidehi interrupted.

Vaidehi: "Lunch of your choice and dessert of mine, is it fine?"

He smiled at her, and she smiled back.

Viyansh agreed, "Done."

He ordered some Indian dishes like kadai paneer, Dal tadka, jeera rice, and chapati.

Viyansh: "Umm Biwi, I want to know everything about you."

Vaidehi responded

Vaidehi: "Hmm, puchiye kya Janna hai aapko (ask what you wanna know?)"

Viyansh: "Sabkuch, your likes, dislikes, hobbies, interest, everything."

Vaidehi: "Ok, toh let's do one thing, let's play 20 questions. I'll ask you, and then you'll ask."

Viyansh agreed happily.

Viyansh: "Done."

Vaidehi initiated.

Vaidehi: "Ok, so starting with fav colour, what's your fav colour? White?"

Viyansh, surprised, asked.

Viyansh: "Yeah, but how do you know that?"

Vaidehi: "Your entire room is white, and mostly your wardrobe is full of white clothes."

Viyansh clarified.

Viyansh: "Our room, not mine."

She smiled at him.

Viyansh, eager to continue, said.

Viyansh: "Ok, my turn. What's your favourite colour?"

Vaidehi revealed, "Blue."

Then their order arrived, and they continued with their Q&A session. As they indulged in light-hearted conversation, the atmosphere between them became more relaxed. Chit-chatting seemed to bridge the gaps, and they started feeling more comfortable with each other.

After completing their lunch, Vaidehi expressed her desire to have some waffles. Viyansh happily agreed, and they made their way to fulfill her sweet craving.

As they were walking back to their car, Vaidehi, once again, unintentionally bumped into Viyansh.

Viyansh looked at her and burst into laughter.

Viyansh: "Biwi, tum kya karti rehti ho? Kaha rehta hai tumhara dhyaan? (What do you do? Where does your attention stay?)"

Vaidehi: "Shut up."

Viyansh got an idea and decided to flirt with her.

Viyansh: "Shirt up here publicly?"

He said with a smirk on his face, but his smirk quickly turned into a shocked expression when he heard her response.

Vaidehi: "Chup rehne ka public me hone se kya lena dena? (What's the relation between being quiet and being in public?)"

He looked at her for two seconds and then burst into laughter.

Vaidehi: "Kya aap has kyu rahe hai? (Why are you laughing?)"

Viyansh: "You are too innocent, yaar Biwi. Tum idhar aao yaar. (You come here.)"

He gestured for her to come closer, still chuckling.

He grabbed her hand, pulled her towards himself, and tightly hugged her, keeping his chin on her head.

She was initially taken aback, and for a brief moment, shock registered on her face. Then, she felt the warmth of his embrace, a gesture that was both unexpected and comforting. His arms wrapped around her provided a sense of security that she hadn't realized she needed.

For the next two minutes, she was held in the tight embrace, and during that time, a rush of emotions overwhelmed her. Her eyes welled up with tears, and soon, she started sobbing. Viyansh, sensing her emotional response, grew concerned. He gently pulled back from the hug, looking into her eyes with a mixture of worry and care.

Viyansh: "Heyy, kya hua biwi, tum ro kyu Rahi ho? (What happened, wife, why are you crying?)"

She didn't answer him and continued to cry even more.

Concerned, he opened the car door, gently guided her to sit, and then knelt down in front of her, holding her hands as she had lowered her gaze and continued crying.

Viyansh: "I'm sorry, Vaidehi. I won't laugh at you."

She looked at him and continued crying even harder.

Viyansh: "Heyy, what happened? Please stop crying. I'm sorry, Vaidehi."

Vaidehi: "Ahhh, Vaidehi nahi biwi boliye mujhe. (Ahhh, call me biwi, not Vaidehi.)"

She said between her sobs.

Viyansh: "Tum ro Rahi ho kyuki Maine tumhe Vaidehi kaha aur biwi nahi? (Are you crying because I called you Vaidehi and not biwi?)"

Vaidehi: "Noo."

Viyansh: "Then?"

Vaidehi: "I'm crying because you hugged me."

Viyansh felt a pang of regret hearing that she felt uncomfortable by his touch, and he immediately released her hand that he was holding.

Viyansh: "I'm sorry. I won't touch you again."

He said this and started to get up, ready to give her the space she seemed to need. However, before he could turn away, Vaidehi got down from her seat and surprised him by immediately taking him into her embrace, leaving him in shock.

Viyansh: "What are you..."

She interrupted him and said.

Vaidehi: "Meri Puri baat toh sun lete aap. I started crying because you hugged, kyonki pehli baar kisi ne mujhe aise hug kiya jisse mujhe sukoon mila. Aapke hug karne se, I felt like home after a long time, or you can say the first time."

(First, listen to me. I started crying because you hugged me; it's because for the first time, someone hugged me in a way that gave me solace. Your hug made me feel at home after a long time, or you can say for the first time.)

She said, her words carrying the weight of genuine emotion, but tears still streamed down her cheeks as she spoke. Viyansh, feeling a sense of relief and understanding the significance of the moment, immediately hugged her back. His face lit up with a genuine, heartfelt grin, expressing both joy and an understanding of the comfort they found in each other's arms.

Viyansh: "Biwi, aise heart attack mat Diya Karo. (Wife, don't give me such a heart attack.)"

She pulled back and playfully slapped him on his chest.

Vaidehi: "Kuch bhi mat bola kariye. (Don't speak nonsense.)"

Viyansh: "Sorry."

Vaidehi: Main aapse kuch mangu, aap denge? (If I ask you for something, will you give it?)

She asked while he wiped off her tears by his thumb.

Viyansh: Biwi, kitni baar kaha hai bas hukum karein aap. (Wife, how many times should I tell you, just give the order.)

Her cheeks turned a shade of red, and she started fidgeting with her dupatta, hesitatingly asking him.

Vaidehi: "Vo... aap, aa...ap kya mujhe roz aise hug karenge? (Will you hug me like this every day?)"

He smiled at her blushed face but decided to tease her.

Viyansh: "Aur agar main mana kar du toh? (And if I say no?)"

Vaidehi looked at him with disappointment.

Vaidehi: "Aap nahi karenge mujhe hug? (You won't hug me?)."

She asked, making a pouty face, and his eyes wandered to the mole near her lips. Internally, he chuckled at her innocence and cuteness. Unable to resist her adorable request, he immediately lifted her in his embrace and began spinning around, making her giggle uncontrollably.

As they twirled in a joyous dance, the laughter echoed, creating a bubble of happiness around them. The innocence of the moment and the genuine delight in Vaidehi's laughter made Viyansh appreciate the simplicity of their connection.

Vaidehi: "Kya kar rahe hai aap? (What are you doing?)"

He stopped spinning and gently placed her back in the car, her legs hanging outside. Leaning towards her, he answered with a smile.

Viyansh: "Meri biwi ne mujhse kuch manga, main unki wish puri kar Raha hu. (My wife asked me for something, I'm just fulfilling her wish.)"

She blushed at his statement and cast her eyes downward.

Viyansh: "As you said, white is my favorite color, lekin pata hai kya tumhare ye laal Gaal zyada pasand hai ab mujhe.

(but you know what now these red shades on your cheeks are my favorite.)"

Her blush deepened.

Vaidehi: "Aap mujhe tease nahi na kare please. (Please don't tease me.)"

He chuckled and pinched her chubby cheeks.

Viyansh: "You are too cute, biwi."

She whined.

Vaidehi: "Bas bhi karein aap. (Please stop.)"

Viyansh:" Okay, okay, now sit properly."

She nodded and then sat properly in the car. He closed the door and settled into the driving seat. Glancing at her, she gave him her most beautiful smile, which filled his heart with adoration. He was still unable to shake off the feeling that his wife mentioned - that he felt like home to her.

Finally, he started driving. The car was enveloped in complete silence, and then Vaidehi broke it.

Vaidehi: "Ohhh, ye matlab tha aapka. (Oh, this is what you meant.)"

He looked at her in confusion.

Viyansh: "Kiska matlab? (What?)"

Vaidehi glanced at him with a flushed face.

Vaidehi: "Ahh, no, nothing."

Viyansh: "Bolo biwi. (Say, wife.)"

He said in an authoritative tone.

She lowered her eyes and replied.

Vaidehi: "I got the meaning behind your "shut up publicly.""

Viyansh smirked at her.

Viyansh: "Ohh, so meri biwi itni bhi masoom nahi hai jitni main samajhta tha. (Ohh, so my wife is not so innocent as I thought.)"

He could clearly see that she was blushing, and her shy demeanor sent butterflies fluttering in his stomach. She looked outside with a blushy smile.

Vaidehi: "Waffles khilane le chahiye mujhe. (Take me to have waffles.)"

Viyansh: "Avoiding the topic, no issues. We'll continue it later."

She blushed even harder, understanding the meaning behind his words, but she didn't look at him.

Finally, they reached their destination and indulged in some delicious waffles. As they returned to their car, Viyansh noticed something intriguing. Leaning towards her, he created a moment of confusion. He brushed his thumb on her mole, which was now covered with a bit of chocolate. In that subtle touch, both felt an unspoken connection, a spark that ignited an unknown feeling in their hearts. She found it challenging to withstand his gaze, and he couldn't bring himself to look anywhere else but at her mole, which seemed to hold a magnetic attraction for him. Keeping their emotions in check, he backed off and ignited the engine.

Viyansh continued driving while Vaidehi enjoyed the scenery outside. Suddenly, she asked him to stop.

Vaidehi: "Ahh, car rokiye na, please. (Please stop the car)."

He looked at her, turned the car towards the side of the road, and stopped.

Viyansh: "What happened?"

Vaidehi smiled like a child and pointed her hand towards the other side of the road. Viyansh bent his head a bit to see what she was showing him, and to his surprise, she was pointing towards a soft toy shop.

Viyansh: "You want a soft toy?"

Vaidehi: "umhmm, I want a big, soft, cuddly teddy."

She said with a grin.

Viyansh: "Why?"

Vaidehi: "To cuddle and sleep. I have a habit of cuddling something while sleeping."

Viyansh thought while looking at her.

Viyansh thought: "Last night, I was her cuddle bear, and now she wants another teddy. That means she will not cuddle me... No no, I can't let this happen."

Viyansh: Ahh, biwi, right now I'm really tired, and to go to that shop, I need to take a really long turn.

Vaidehi: "But mujhe chahiye tha."

She said with a pout, which was enough for him to melt, but he couldn't let any stupid thing come between him and his wife.

Viyansh: "I promise I'll get one for you tomorrow."

She smiled and agreed.

Vaidehi: "ok, done."

Soon, they reached home, and as they were entering the house, Viyansh's arms were wrapped around Vaidehi's shoulders, and she was looking up at him, engaged in conversation.

All the Singhania men observed the scene in front of them.

Vikram: "Aa gaya mera ladoo. (Ohh, my child came.)"

Vaidehi went to him and side-hugged him.

Vaidehi: "Yess."

Vikram: "Did you enjoy?"

Vaidehi: "A lot, Popsy."

At that moment, she looked like a child to Viyansh and Vihaan, who were witnessing her animated conversation with her father. The brothers admired the strong bond between Vikram and Vaidehi.

Vikram: "Ok, ok, now go and have some rest."

Vaidehi: "Okay."

Viraj: "Bhabhi maa, bhai ne gussa toh nahi kiya na? (Brother didn't get angry, right?)"

Virat: "That's impossible."

Vaidehi chuckled, while Viyansh threw playful glares at his younger brothers.

Viyansh: "Biwi, tum jao, main aata hu. (You go, I'll just come.)"

Vaidehi: "Jii."

Viraj: To romance with bhabhi maa? (So, romance with sister-in-law?)"

Virat: "Ohh, romance, carry on."

Vaidehi got flustered, immediately running towards her room. Meanwhile, Viyansh chased after Viraj and Virat to teach them a lesson. Vikram and Vihaan exchanged a satisfied smile, enjoying the light-hearted banter and camaraderie among the family members.
