Chapter 54: "Yearning Hearts"

Whispers of RomanceWords: 36706

The following day, Vaidehi embarked on a mission to distribute the wedding invitations to their relatives and acquaintances. As she made her rounds, the final destination on her list was the head office of Oberoi Constructions, where she needed to meet Harshvardhan.  Vaidehi had thoughtfully planned her visit in advance. She had informed her grandfather about her intention to avoid visiting the Oberoi Mansion, preferring to meet Harshvardhan at his workplace instead. Understanding her preference and due to his busy schedule, Harshvardhan had suggested they meet at his office. Upon arriving at the imposing Oberoi Constructions headquarters, Vaidehi took a moment to compose herself before entering the bustling office building. She walked confidently through the sleek lobby and approached the receptionist's desk, to proceed with her task.

Vaidehi: "Excuse me."

Receptionist: "Yes ma'am."

Vaidehi: "I want to meet the president, Mr. Harshvardhan Oberoi."

Receptionist: "Sure ma'am. Your name?"

Vaidehi: "Vaidehi."

Receptionist: "Full name, ma'am."

Vaidehi: "Oh, yeah, I'm so sorry. I am Mrs. Vaidehi Viyansh Singhania."

Vaidehi replied with a warm smile as the receptionist entered her name into the visitors' list. While waiting, she took the opportunity to observe the office interiors. Though she had visited Oberoi Constructions once or twice as a child, the grandeur and modern design of the place now struck her anew. The sleek, contemporary decor, combined with the hustle and bustle of the employees, made the atmosphere vibrant and dynamic, a stark contrast to her vague childhood memories.

Receptionist: "Ma'am, your appointment letter?"

Vaidehi: "I don't have any appointment letter."

Receptionist: "Sorry ma'am, then we can't let you meet the president."

Vaidehi: "But I'm here because Dadu asked."

"And who are you to deny my daughter a meeting with her grandfather?"

A familiar voice came from behind, prompting both the receptionist and Vaidehi to turn around. They saw Abhinav standing there, his presence immediately drawing the attention of several passing employees. Abhinav walked over and gently placed a protective hand on Vaidehi's shoulder. The warmth of his fatherly touch, felt after so many years, brought an overwhelming sense of comfort to her. She closed her eyes, savoring the moment and the reassuring embrace of her father.

Receptionist: "Sir, actually ma'am..."

Abhinav: "Vaidehi Abhinav Oberoi is her name. The sole heir, actually the owner of this company."

The receptionist's eyes widened with realization.

Receptionist: "Sorry, Sir. Sorry, ma'am."

Vaidehi simply nodded in response. As they stood there, Sangeeta happened to be passing by. Abhinav called out to her, and she turned to see Vaidehi. A broad smile spread across Sangeeta's face as she hurried over, her happiness evident. She enveloped Vaidehi in a warm, affectionate hug.

Sangeeta: "Beta aaj aap yaha??"

(Child, you're here today??)

Abhinav: "Just a minute, Sangeeta."

Abhinav gently guided Vaidehi towards the bustling center of the office, with Sangeeta walking alongside them. They moved through the busy workspace, Abhinav occasionally exchanging friendly nods and greetings with familiar faces along the way.

Abhinav: "Attention, everyone."

As they approached the center of the office, a gathering of employees noticed Abhinav, Vaidehi, and Sangeeta. Curiosity and recognition spread among them, prompting more to join and form a small crowd around the trio. Vaidehi, already feeling a bit nervous, found herself suddenly surrounded by so many unfamiliar faces, which only heightened her unease. She glanced around, her nerves palpable, unsure of how to navigate this unexpected attention.

Abhinav: "So, everyone, meet our daughter, Vaidehi Abhinav Oberoi."

Vaidehi stared at Abhinav in astonishment, her eyes wide with a mix of emotions swirling within her. This was the first time he had openly acknowledged her as his daughter in front of so many people. It was a moment she hadn't anticipated, and the significance of his public recognition stirred a complex array of feelings. In that intense moment, Vaidehi felt a rush of pride and validation, yet there was also a hint of vulnerability and uncertainty.

Abhinav: "And also your boss, the owner of this entire Oberoi Constructions."

Employee 1: "Sir, it seems that ma'am is married."

Vaidehi looked at the employee with a gentle smile.

Vaidehi: "Yes, and now I am Mrs. Vaidehi Viyansh Singhania."

Employee 1: "Mr. Viyansh Singhania, the CEO of Singhania & Co.?"

Vaidehi: "Yes, he's my husband."

Vaidehi spoke with a sense of pride in her voice as she introduced herself. Abhinav and Sangeeta couldn't help but notice the contrast between how confidently she presented herself as Viyansh's wife compared to how she had never introduced herself as their daughter. Her pride in being Viyansh's wife was evident, perhaps reflecting a strong sense of identity and fulfillment in her marital role. This introduction might have underscored her current priorities and the significant role Viyansh played in her life.

Employee 2: "Vaidehi Viyansh Singhania, the owner of Rhythm and Grace Academy?"

Vaidehi nodded quietly.

Employee 2: "Ma'am, I've heard a lot about your academy and your voice as well. You have a really melodious voice."

Vaidehi: "Thank you."

Employee 3: "Ma'am, I've heard about your success, how you started this academy again from scratch. It's just commendable."

Vaidehi: "Thank you so much."

Vaidehi smiled warmly, her expression conveying a sense of inner contentment amidst the acknowledgment she received. For Abhinav and Sangeeta, witnessing their daughter's poised reaction filled them with a deep sense of pride—an emotion they hadn't experienced in years, especially considering their absence during her childhood. They couldn't help but reflect on the years they had missed and the moments they had failed to witness. Now, seeing Vaidehi in this light, they realized the depth of what they had missed out on. The pride they felt was tinged with a hint of regret for not being there for her earlier, but also with a renewed determination to strengthen their bond with her now. Despite their hopes to see her exuberance and excitement, Vaidehi's composed response showed a maturity and independence they had not fully grasped before. It signaled to them that reconnecting with her and earning her trust and joy would require patience and effort—a realization that spurred them to work harder to bridge the gap they had unintentionally created in the past.

Sangeeta: "Meri bachchi, tu aane wali hai bata deti toh hum achche se welcome karte."

(My child, if you had told us you were coming, we would have welcomed you properly.)

Abhinav: "Chal pehle aake baith ja."

(Come, sit down first.)

Vaidehi: "But..."

Vaidehi was on the verge of speaking when Abhinav and Sangeeta gently guided her to Abhinav's cabin. Inside, Abhinav invited her to sit on the couch, with him and Sangeeta settling down on either side of her.

Sangeeta: "Kuch khaya hai?? Bhook lagi hogi na."

(Have you eaten anything? You must be hungry.)

Abhinav: "Wait main abhi order karta hu, kya khayegi???"

(Wait, I'll order something right away. What would you like to eat?)

Sangeeta: "Anything spicy?? Or sweet?"

Abhinav: "Bolo beta."

(Tell us, dear.)

Vaidehi found herself overwhelmed by the genuine care and attention from Abhinav and Sangeeta. It was a new and somewhat unfamiliar feeling for her, one she hadn't experienced to this depth before. She could sense the authenticity in their gestures, recognizing that their concern and affection were sincere, not contrived. Despite her efforts to maintain composure, Vaidehi struggled to contain her emotions. Today, more than ever, her feelings were running high. The rush of gratitude, warmth, and perhaps a tinge of sadness for what had been missed in the past, all swirled within her. Yet, she managed to keep her emotions in check, demonstrating strength and resilience amidst the flood of feelings.

Vaidehi: "Actually main yaha sirf ye wedding card Dene aayi thi. Dadu se milna tha."

(Actually, I just came here to deliver this wedding card. I wanted to meet Dadu.)

Sangeeta: "Papa, toh aaye nahi hai abhi tak."

(Dad hasn't arrived yet.)

Vaidehi: "No issues, aap ye card le lijiye, ek hafte me Ahaan bhai ki shadi hai. Aap sab aayenge toh mujh... I mean hum sabko achcha lagega."

(No problem. Please take this card. Ahaan Bhai's wedding is in a week. It would mean a lot to me... I mean, to all of us, if you all could come.)

Abhinav smiled warmly at his daughter, observing how she tried to conceal her emotions, even from her own parents. There was a sense of admiration for her strength and resilience, yet a pang of sadness knowing that she felt the need to hide her true feelings. In that moment, he reflected on their journey together, realizing the complexities and challenges that had led to this point. He felt a deep regret that Vaidehi had ever felt the need to protect herself by masking her emotions. His heart ached with the understanding that their relationship had missed many opportunities for openness and vulnerability in the past.

Vaidehi: "I should leave now."

Sangeeta: "Areh beta, kuch kha toh leti."

(Oh, dear, at least have something to eat.)

Vaidehi: 'Next time pakka, aaj thodi jaldi me hu. Shadi ke kafi kaam bache hai."

(Next time, for sure. I'm in a bit of a hurry today. There are still a lot of wedding preparations left.)

Abhinav: "Okay, come, I'll drop you off."

Vaidehi: "Umm, my driver is waiting, so I'll manage."

Abhinav gently placed his hand on Vaidehi's head, a gesture filled with tenderness and paternal affection. Vaidehi, feeling the warmth of his touch, didn't resist this time. Instead, she allowed herself to lean into the comfort and reassurance that his gesture offered.

Abhinav: "At least let us walk you to the car."

Vaidehi nodded in acknowledgment, her expression reflecting a mixture of gratitude and newfound closeness with Abhinav and Sangeeta. As they walked together towards her car, there was a sense of peace and understanding between them. The brief journey to her car was filled with a comfortable silence, punctuated by occasional smiles and glances exchanged between father, mother, and daughter.

Vaidehi: "Byee."

Sangeeta: "Beta one minute."

A girl came with a flower bouquet and Card. Sangeeta received the flower bouquet and card from the girl, then handed them over to Vaidehi. Vaidehi accepted the gesture with a mix of surprise and understanding. The sorry card, sent weekly with a bouquet, spoke volumes about Abhinav and Sangeeta's earnest desire to mend their relationship with their daughter. Accepting the card and flowers signified Vaidehi's willingness to acknowledge their efforts and perhaps hinted at her own readiness to move forward with them. Each weekly delivery was a reminder of their ongoing commitment to reconciliation, a gentle yet persistent effort to bridge any remaining emotional gaps between them.

Vaidehi: "Aap kyu ye har hafte bhejti hai, maine bola toh aapko ki iski zarurat hai."

(Why do you send this every week? I told you it's not necessary.)

Sangeeta: "Tujhe nahi hogi meri bachchi par mujhe hai. Please mujhe ye karne de."

(You may not need it, my child, but we do. Please let me do this.)

Sangeeta gently caressed Vaidehi's cheeks, a tender gesture that conveyed love and affection. Vaidehi, feeling the warmth of her mother's touch, did not resist or pull away this time. Instead, she allowed herself to be comforted by the gesture, perhaps feeling a sense of reassurance and emotional connection.

Vaidehi bid her parents goodbye and instructed her driver to take her to Singhania & Co. Arriving at Viyansh's office, she headed straight to his cabin, eager to see him. However, upon arrival, she found that he was in the middle of a meeting. Despite this, Viyansh noticed her and smiled, signaling with two fingers that he needed a couple of minutes. The sight of Viyansh brought a sense of urgency to Vaidehi. She longed to speak with him immediately, her desire to connect palpable. The wait, even for just a few minutes, felt like an eternity as she stood in his cabin, her thoughts racing with anticipation and eagerness to be with him. For Vaidehi, Viyansh's smile and gesture were reassuring, indicating his awareness of her presence and his willingness to see her shortly. Yet, her impatience reflected her deep longing to be with him, to share her thoughts and emotions in that moment.

Vaidehi: "Meeting dismissed, right now."

Viyansh and the other employees in the meeting were taken aback by Vaidehi's unexpected interruption. Her usual demeanor of respecting Viyansh's work and not interrupting meetings had set a precedent, making this departure from her usual behavior noticeable. Viyansh, confused by her actions, couldn't help but wonder about the urgency that prompted her to interrupt the meeting this time. The surprise on the faces of the employees mirrored his own confusion, as they witnessed a deviation from Vaidehi's usual etiquette.

Viyansh: "Will see you guys after lunch."

After Viyansh dismissed the employees with a promise to reconvene after lunch, they nodded and exited the room. As soon as the door closed behind them, Vaidehi rushed towards Viyansh, moving quickly to sit on his lap and embracing him tightly. Viyansh responded with concern, instinctively wrapping his arms around her, offering comfort and reassurance.  For Vaidehi, being in Viyansh's arms brought a sense of safety and solace, perhaps fueled by the urgency and intensity of her emotions. Viyansh, though initially surprised by her sudden display of affection, responded with care and understanding, his embrace a silent promise of support and protection.

Viyansh: "Kya hua bachcha??"

(What happened, dear?)

Viyansh asked with concern, his voice gentle and reassuring. The moment he posed the question, Vaidehi lost control of her emotions and began to cry. Viyansh felt a surge of worry for her and immediately began to comfort her, gently stroking her head as she cried, her tears dampening his shirt. For Vaidehi, the flood of tears was a release of pent-up emotions, possibly a mixture of stress, longing, or unresolved feelings.

Viyansh: "Kya hua hai, jaana batao toh."

(What's wrong, Jaan, tell me.)

Vaidehi: "Ansh, vo..vo..I went to Oberoi Constructions... Th..ere... Vo."

Viyansh understood that Vaidehi had met her parents, and this meeting had stirred deep emotions within her. Her sudden emotional outpouring made sense to him in that context. He continued to hold her close, his caresses gentle and comforting, silently acknowledging the significance of her encounter with her parents.

Viyansh: "Okay okay, don't say anything. Shant ho jao pehle."

(Calm down first.)

As Viyansh continued to caress Vaidehi's head and gently rub her back, his soothing touch gradually calmed her. The tenderness in his gestures, combined with the warmth of his presence, provided her with the comfort she needed in that moment of emotional release. Feeling his reassuring touch, Vaidehi began to relax. The tears slowly subsided, replaced by a sense of peace and emotional relief. Viyansh's understanding and care were evident in every stroke of his hand, creating a serene atmosphere where she could find solace and regain her composure.

Viyansh: "Ab batao kya hua tha?"

(Now tell me what happened?)

Vaidehi continued to hold Viyansh tightly, her arms wrapped around him as if seeking reassurance and closeness. Her lingering embrace conveyed a deep-seated need for his presence and support, a desire to prolong the comfort and security she felt in his arms.

Vaidehi: "They said that I'm their daughter, in front of the entire office."

As Vaidehi continued to hold Viyansh tightly, she began to share her feelings and experiences from her recent encounter with her parents. In a voice softened by the lingering emotions, she narrated how she felt when they showed genuine care and concern towards her after so many years. She spoke of the mixture of emotions she had experienced—gratitude for their efforts, sadness for the time lost, and a deep longing for the nurturing love she had missed in her childhood. Her words painted a picture of vulnerability and introspection, revealing the complexities of her relationship with her parents and the impact of their recent interactions on her. Viyansh listened attentively, holding her close and offering silent encouragement with his presence. His understanding gaze and supportive demeanor provided her with the reassurance she needed to open up and share her innermost thoughts and feelings.

Vaidehi: "Today, I felt their love, Ansh. They publicly accepted me as their daughter, and I got overwhelmed."

As Vaidehi continued to share her emotions and thoughts with Viyansh, tears occasionally welled up in her eyes despite her efforts to hold them back.

Viyansh: "You didn't want them to do that?"

Vaidehi: "Kash unhone past me vo sab nahi kiya hota Ansh, I'm so weak na, I don't know why I'm not able to handle my emotions, toh main aapke pass aa gayi."

(I wish they hadn't done all those things in the past, Ansh. I feel so weak, I don't know why I'm not able to handle my emotions, so I came to you.)

Viyansh smiled warmly, his arms wrapped around Vaidehi as he gently stroked her hair. His smile was a reflection of his deep affection and care for her, a silent reassurance that he was there for her in every moment.

Viyansh: "Toh tumhe zarurat bhi nahi hai, main hu na tumhe, tumhare emotions, tumhare mood swings har cheez ko sambhalne ke liye. And please ha my Jaan is not weak. She's afraid that if she'll meet Mr. & Mrs. Oberoi then she'll start crying and start complaining to them, she's afraid to getting another panic attack still meri Jaan ne apne dar ka samne kiya aur Aaj vo gayi unse milne."

(So you don't even need it, I am there to handle everything for you, your emotions, your mood swings, everything. And please, my dear, you are not weak. You're just afraid that if you meet Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi, you might start crying and start complaining to them. You're afraid of having another panic attack. But my love, you faced your fear today and went to meet them.)

Vaidehi gazed at Viyansh, her expression searching for affirmation.

Vaidehi: "Am I not weak??"

Viyansh leaned in and gently kissed her forehead.

Viyansh: "Not at all, Jaana."

Vaidehi: "Vo shadi me aayenge na??"

(Will they come to the wedding??)

Viyansh: "Vo kon jaan??"

(Who, Jaan??)

Vaidehi: "Vo Mr...m..."

Struggling to address them formally as Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi, Vaidehi paused. Viyansh sensed her discomfort and reassured her.

Viyansh: "It's ok jaana aapke hi parents hai, mumma papa keh sakti hai aap."

(It's okay, dear. They are your own parents, you can call them Mom and Dad)

Viyansh held Vaidehi close as she remained silent, resting her head on his chest. He sensed the weight of her emotions and understood that while she may have forgiven her parents, the wounds of the past still lingered, affecting her deeply. Recognizing her emotional vulnerability in that moment, he chose not to push her. Instead, Viyansh continued to offer his quiet support and understanding through his comforting embrace.

Viyansh: "Bachcha lunch Kiya aapne??"

(have you had lunch?)

Vaidehi: "No"

Viyansh: "Ok, tell me kya khana hai, main order karta hu."

(tell me what you'd like to eat, I'll order it)

Vaidehi: "I'll have your salad."

Viyansh looked at Vaidehi with a puzzled expression, surprised by her sudden request for something she typically didn't enjoy, like salads. Her unusual request contrasted with her usual preferences, prompting him to wonder what might have prompted this change.

Viyansh: "Jaan salad khana hai aapko??"

(you want salad?)

Vaidehi: "Haa ab aapko isme takleef hai kya Ansh?"

(Yes, do you have a problem with that, Ansh?)

Viyansh noticed the sudden shift in Vaidehi's emotional state as her mood turned to anger. Her change in demeanor caught him off guard, prompting him to approach the situation with care and concern.

Viyansh: "Okay okay, we'll have salad."

Saying this, Viyansh attempted to gently move her, but Vaidehi tightened her grip around his neck, indicating that she wasn't ready to let go or be moved at that moment. Her action conveyed a deep need for comfort and closeness, perhaps seeking solace in his presence amidst her emotional turmoil.

Vaidehi: "Kya hai Ansh?"

(What's wrong, Ansh?)

Viyansh: "Come let's have lunch."

Vaidehi: "Nahi, abhi nahi khana mujhe, and please disturb mat kariyega mujhe, rehne dijiye mujhe aapke pass kuch der."

(No, I don't want to eat right now, and please don't disturb me, just let me be with you for a while.)

As Viyansh noticed Vaidehi's sudden change in mood and her request to remain close, he prioritized her emotional well-being over his confusion. Respecting her need for comfort, he continued to stroke her hair gently, providing a soothing presence. Over time, he sensed her breathing soften against his neck, indicating that she had found some peace in his embrace. Glancing down at her, Viyansh couldn't help but smile affectionately as he observed her sleeping peacefully on his lap. Moved by the tenderness of the moment, Viyansh leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Vaidehi's forehead.

Viyansh: "Thak gayi hogi na apni ganga jamuna baha ke na Jaan."

(You must be tired after all the hustle and bustle, and crying)

Viyansh shook his head with a gentle smile, moved by the peaceful sight of Vaidehi asleep in his lap. Carefully lifting her up in his arms, he carried her over to the nearby couch and laid her down gently, making sure she was comfortable by adjusting the cushions around her. Taking off his blazer, he draped it over her to keep her warm, tucking it around her carefully. Viyansh then adjusted the air conditioning settings to ensure it was as per her preference, wanting her to be comfortable even in her sleep. Once satisfied that she was settled, Viyansh resumed his work, sitting beside her on the couch with her head resting comfortably on his lap. He continued his tasks quietly, occasionally glancing down at Vaidehi with a fond smile, appreciating the peacefulness of the moment.

As Vaidehi stirred and her eyes fluttered open, she found Viyansh beside her, which brought a gentle smile to her face. Viyansh extended a helping hand, assisting her to sit up comfortably on the couch.

Vaidehi: "Main so kaise gayi Ansh."

(How did I fall asleep, Ansh?)

Viyansh: "It's okay Jaan, subah se shadi ke kaamo me lagi ho, thak gayi hogi na."

(It's okay, Jaan, you've been busy with wedding preparations since morning, you must be tired.)

Vaidehi: "But it's weird, nowadays I get tired very easily."

Viyansh: "Nothing is weird, now come, let's have lunch."

Vaidehi: "What's the time?"

Viyansh: "It's 3 PM."

Vaidehi: "What??? Ab aap ab tak ruke the mere liye?? Ansh khana kha lena chahiiye tha na aapne."

(What??? Have you been waiting for me all this time, Ansh? You should have had lunch.)

Viyansh: "Chalo lunch karte hai."

(Come, let's have lunch.)

He brushed off her complaints with a smile, and they proceeded to have lunch together. They enjoyed each other's company, chatting for a while longer until it was time for Vaidehi to head home.

Viyansh: "Okay, Jaan, listen."

Vaidehi: "Hmm."

Viyansh: "Don't wait for me for dinner."

Vaidehi: "Kyu kyu kyu?"

(Why, why, why?)

Viyansh: "Actually, I have a really important meeting tonight, so I might be late.  So tum khana kha ke so jaana."

(So you eat dinner and go to sleep.)

Vaidehi: "Okay, I'll see to it."

Viyansh: "Jaaaannn."

He playfully warned her to go ahead and eat without him, but Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle at his attempt to sound authoritative.

Vaidehi: "Ok I have a lot of work, I'll leave now."

Viyansh: "Dhyaan se jaana, and call me once you reach home."

(Go carefully, and call me once you reach home.)

Vaidehi: "Jo aagya pati parmeshwar."

(As you wish, my dear husband.)

Viyansh smiled warmly at Vaidehi as she bowed down playfully. Moved by her gesture, he leaned forward and gently kissed her on the forehead. Afterwards, Viyansh walked Vaidehi to her car, ensuring she was safely settled before bidding her bye.

At 12AM

As Viyansh entered his room at midnight, he found Vaidehi watching something on her tablet, lying on the couch. When she noticed him, she immediately sat up and reached out her hand towards him. Viyansh gratefully took her hand and sat beside her, leaning his head on her shoulder. Vaidehi began gently stroking his hair, offering comfort and reassurance without needing to say a word. In that moment, their roles reversed from earlier in the day, with Vaidehi now providing support to Viyansh. Her gesture of affection and her soothing touch spoke volumes about their relationship—a partnership built on mutual care and understanding.

Vaidehi: "Kya hua Ansh, bahaut pareshan lag rahe hai aaj aap."

(What's wrong, Ansh? You seem very troubled today.)

Viyansh lifted his head from Vaidehi's shoulder and began to loosen his tie, a clear indication of his need to unwind after a long and possibly stressful day. As he loosened the knot, he sighed softly, visibly relaxing with each adjustment.

Viyansh: "Kuch nahi jaan, I'm good."

(Nothing, Jaan, I'm good.)

As Viyansh removed his shoes, his voice carried a subtle hint of distress, betraying the burden he carried. Vaidehi, attuned to his moods and emotions, sensed immediately that something was troubling him. Without hesitation, she reached out and gently took his hands in hers, her touch offering comfort and reassurance.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, even if I can't help you, at least sharing might lighten your load."

Viyansh smiled warmly at Vaidehi, appreciating his little wife's understanding and the comfort she offered him in that moment. He tightened his grip on her hands, conveying his gratitude and affection without needing to say a word.

Viyansh: "I have an important meeting tomorrow regarding a deal, and I need to crack it because if we don't, we'll face a huge loss. Many companies are competing for this project. I want to succeed so that I can hand it over to Viraj and Virat; it's a great opportunity for them to grow and learn."

Viyansh leaned back against the headrest of the couch, closing his eyes, seeking a moment of respite from the worries of the day. Sensing his need for comfort, Vaidehi instinctively moved closer, wrapping her arms around him in a gentle embrace. She rested her head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear.

Vaidehi: "Koi baat nahi Ansh if deal crack nahi huyi toh bhi koi pareshani nahi hogi and we will only eat one meal in a day and will shift to a hut."

(It's okay, Ansh. Even if the deal doesn't go through, it won't be a problem. We'll just eat one meal a day and move to a hut.)

Viyansh's eyes widened as he suddenly pulled Vaidehi back slightly to look at her face. His action conveyed a sense of urgency or surprise, prompting him to seek a clearer understanding of her.

Viyansh: "Biwi I said we may face a loss, bankrupt nahi ho rahe hai hum."

(I said we might face a loss, not that we're going bankrupt.)

Vaidehi: "Exactly Ansh, it's just a deal itna kyu pareshan ho rahe hai aap."

(It's just a deal; why are you so worried?)

Viyansh smiled warmly at Vaidehi and lightly smacked her head playfully. In response, Vaidehi placed both hands on her waist, adopting a playful stance, and looked at him with a mixture of amusement and mock seriousness.

Vaidehi: "And listen aap jab Ghar aate hai toh apni Biwi ke Ansh bankar aa kijiye na ki Mr. Viyansh Singhania the CEO, got it??"

(And listen, when you come home, come as your wife's Ansh, not as Mr. Viyansh Singhania the CEO, got it?)

Viyansh immediately pulled Vaidehi into a warm hug.

Viyansh: "How do you manage to do this?"

Vaidehi: "Do what?"

Viyansh: "Lift my mood."

Vaidehi: "I can't physically lift you, so I thought I should lift your spirits."

Viyansh chuckled softly.

Viyansh: "But I can."

Viyansh, feeling the weight of stress from his day, lifted Vaidehi gently and settled her on his lap, seeking solace in her presence. Their lips met in a tender kiss, both finding comfort and distraction in each other's embrace. Viyansh pressed his lips against hers, and Vaidehi responded eagerly, their kisses deepening as they lost themselves in each other's warmth. Their lips moved in sync, a familiar dance of passion and love. Viyansh, overcome with longing, began placing soft, feather-like kisses along her neck, causing Vaidehi to shiver with pleasure. Her hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as they savored the intensity of their connection. In the midst of their escalating desire, Viyansh's hands moved to gently tug at her dress, intending to expose her shoulder. However, Vaidehi, momentarily breaking the spell, placed a gentle hand on his to pause his advance.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, dinner kar lijiye pehle."

(Ansh, have dinner first.)

Viyansh rested his head on Vaidehi's shoulder.

Viyansh: "Tumne khaya??"

(Have you eaten?)

As Viyansh rested his head on Vaidehi's shoulder, she gently rubbed his back in a soothing manner.

Vaidehi: "Sorry Ansh, pata nahi kyu aaj mujhe bahaut bhook lagi thi toh maine kha liya, aapka wait nahi kar payi."

(Sorry, Ansh. I don't know why, but I was very hungry today, so I ate. I couldn't wait for you.)

Viyansh, feeling the comfort of Vaidehi's touch and support, leaned in and gently kissed her forehead.

Viyansh: "Toh isme sorry ki kya baat hai jaana, Maine toh kaha hi tha mera wait mat karna."

(There's no need to apologize for that, Jaana. I told you not to wait for me.)

Vaidehi: "achcha chaliye aap fresh ho jaiye main khana garam karti hu."

(Okay, freshen up while I heat the food.)

After Vaidehi stood up from Viyansh's lap, she lovingly encouraged him to freshen up while she headed to the kitchen to prepare his meal. In the cozy kitchen, Vaidehi carefully plated his meal and set it on the dinner table. Just as she finished, Viyansh emerged dressed comfortably in a tee and sweatpants. She served him and sat beside him, keeping him company as they talked and he enjoyed his meal. Once they had finished eating, they returned to their peaceful sanctuary, where they embraced each other warmly and settled down to sleep, finding comfort and security in each other's arms. The night passed peacefully, their connection deepening as they shared a quiet, restful sleep together.

Next day,

Viyansh arrived home in the afternoon and headed straight to their room. There, he found Vaidehi engrossed in a phone call with the wedding designers for Vihaan and Vanshika's outfits. From her conversation, he gathered the topic of discussion. When Vaidehi noticed him, she smiled warmly. As soon as she finished her call, Viyansh swept her up in his arms and began spinning her around playfully. Vaidehi held onto his shoulders tightly, her face nestled against his neck,  filled with a mix of surprise and delight at his spontaneous gesture of affection.

Vaidehi: "Anshhhhh... Stop."

He immediately halted his playful spinning upon hearing Vaidehi's discomfort. Carefully, Viyansh gently lowered her back to the ground. However, Vaidehi's head continued to spin from the sudden movement. She reached out to him for support, holding onto him tightly, while he tenderly cradled her head with his hand, providing comfort and stability. His concern evident, Viyansh remained by her side, ensuring she felt secure until the dizziness subsided. Vaidehi leaned against him for a moment.

Vaidehi: "Chakkar aa gaye Ansh, kya kar rahe hai.??"

(I'm feeling dizzy, Ansh, What's were you upto?)

Viyansh: "ohh I'm so sorry bachcha."

Viyansh guided Vaidehi to sit down on the edge of the bed, then knelt down in front of her.

Viyansh: "Okay??"

Vaidehi: "Yeahh, par aapko kya hua??"

(but what happened to you?)

Viyansh: "Guess what? I cracked the deal."

With a broad smile on his face, Viyansh spoke, his voice filled with excitement and joy. Vaidehi's eyes lit up, mirroring his happiness as she embraced him tightly, overwhelmed with joy and congratulations for achievement he had shared with her.

Vaidehi: "Omg congratulations Ansh."

Viyansh: "Thanks Biwi."

Vaidehi: "See I told you aap kar lenge."

(I told you, you would do it.)

Vaidehi pulled back slightly from the embrace.

Viyansh: "Yeah."

Vaidehi noticed a sudden shift in Viyansh's expression. His face, previously lit up with happiness, now seemed to darken or change in some way, indicating a shift in his emotions or thoughts.

Vaidehi: "Kya hua Ansh?"

(What happened, Ansh)

Viyansh approached Vaidehi and settled beside her, gently placing his hand on her shoulder as he pulled her into a side hug.

Viyansh: "Jaan, I want to tell you something."

Vaidehi: "Ha toh boliye na."

(Yes, go ahead.)

Viyansh: "Actually, as I said, I cracked the deal, so I need to visit D..Delhi for that."

Vaidehi: "Offo, Ansh aap toh aise keh rahe hai jaise pehli baar kisi business deal ke liye ja rahe hai."

(Oh, Ansh, you're talking as if you're going on a business trip for the first time.)

Viyansh gazed at Vaidehi in silence, his eyes filled with a mixture of emotions that words could not fully capture.

Vaidehi: "Kab jaana hai aur kitne din ke liye?"

(When do you need to go and for how many days?)

Viyansh: "Today evening, for 5 days."

As Vaidehi looked into Viyansh's eyes and felt his silent demeanor, a wave of unease swept over her. The joy that had lit up her face moments ago seemed to dissipate, replaced by a growing sense of apprehension and vulnerability. She couldn't shake the feeling that he might be preparing to leave, and the prospect of being alone weighed heavily on her heart. The fear of loneliness crept in, intensifying her desire for him to stay close and not leave her side.

Vaidehi: "Ansh par, bhai ki shadi ke functions start hone wale hai. Aur 5 days main aapke bina..."

(Ansh, Bhai's wedding functions are about to start. And being away for 5 days...)

Feeling overwhelmed and unable to finish her sentence, Vaidehi lowered her gaze, her emotions weighing heavily on her. Sensing her distress, Viyansh gently pulled her into a comforting hug, his arms wrapping around her with care. As he held her close, Viyansh tenderly caressed her head, offering a soothing touch that conveyed his love and reassurance.

Viyansh: "I know biwi, I'll be back before the function starts but pata nahi kyu is baar tumhe chod ke jaane ka Dil nahi kar raha."

(I know, Biwi. I'll be back before the functions start, but for some reason, I don't feel like leaving you this time.)

Vaidehi, despite feeling the same deep need for Viyansh's presence, understood the importance of his responsibilities and the necessity for him to be elsewhere. Nowadays she needs him around her 24/7. Aware of her own longing for his companionship, she composed herself, hiding her emotions behind a facade of strength. This inner strength and understanding allowed her to maintain a supportive stance, despite the emotional tug she felt inside.

Vaidehi: "Umm koi baat nahi Ansh aap jaiye aur araam se apna kaam karke aaiye. 5 din toh yuhi nikal jayenge pata bhi nahi chalega."

(Um, it's okay, Ansh. You go and take care of your work. Five days will pass quickly without us even realizing.)

Viyansh: "Jaan, are you sure??"

Vaidehi: "Haa Ansh, don't worry about me."

Viyansh smiled warmly at Vaidehi, his love and concern evident in his eyes as he gently kissed her forehead. Despite his inner turmoil about leaving her, he knew the importance of his obligations and responsibilities that required his attention elsewhere. Even as he prepared himself to depart, his lingering gaze on Vaidehi revealed his reluctance to part from her side. Yet, he remained resolute in his decision, understanding that some commitments couldn't be postponed or avoided.

As evening fell, Viyansh departed for Delhi. Once settled in his hotel room, he initiated a video call with Vaidehi. Seeing each other's faces brought them a sense of closeness despite the physical distance. However, as the night progressed, both felt a deep longing for each other that transcended mere physical presence. It was as if an invisible force was pulling them together, highlighting their emotional connection and dependency on each other's company for comfort and reassurance.
