Chapter 6: "Love blossom"

Whispers of RomanceWords: 20003

With a joyful expression, she entered the room, a faint blush lingering on her cheeks from her brother-in-law's playful comments. Her first stop was the closet, where she selected another set of clothes. After making her choice, she headed to the washroom to change. Once she emerged, ready in her new attire, she made her way out of the closet. However, just as she was about to exit, Viyansh entered, creating a potential collision. Wisely, Vaidehi halted, preventing any awkward encounter.

Viyansh: "Biwi again?" (Wife again?)

Vaidehi: "Kya? Ab toh main aapse takrayi bhi nahi (What? Now I didn't even bump into you.)"

Viyansh: "Haan par takrane wali toh thi na (Yes, but you were about to bump into me.)"

Vaidehi: "Aapko bahane chahiye na mujhe daatne ke (You just need excuses to scold me.)"

Viyansh: "Tumhe bhi bas bahane chahiye na mujhse chipakne ke. (You also just need excuses to stick to me.)"

Vaidehi: "Haww"

She was shocked at his shameless comment and kept her palm on her mouth while he smirked at her.

Viyansh: "Aise kya dekh rahi ho, chipakna chahti ho? (What are you looking at? Do you want to stick to me?)"

Vaidehi: "Chii kaise baatein karte hai aap, hatiye jaane dijiye mujhe. (Ugh, what kind of things you say, move and let me go)."

She pushed him aside and went downstairs. The Singhania family's evening was filled with teasing, chatting, and having fun, followed by dinner, which was prepared by Vaidehi with the rest of the men helping her. Finally, after completing all the work, they retired to their respective rooms.

As soon as Vaidehi entered their room and locked the door, Viyansh hugged her. She got startled by it but then calmed down, realizing it was him.

Vaidehi: "Kya ho gaya aapko?  (What happened to you?)"

Viyansh: "Nothing."

Vaidehi: "Then?"

Viyansh: "Do I need a reason to hug my wife?"

Vaidehi: (chuckled) "No."

They remained like that for several minutes, finding solace in each other's arms. Finally, Vaidehi broke the silence.

Vaidehi: "Um, can I change, please?"

Viyansh looked at her and then let her go. She quickly changed into her nightwear and returned to see Viyansh waiting for her on the bed, browsing his phone. She sat on the other side of the bed.

Vaidehi: "So jaiye, der ho gayi hai. (Let's sleep, it's late)."

Viyansh: "Yeah, good night."

Vaidehi: "Good night."

He closed his eyes but didn't sleep, waiting for Vaidehi to fall asleep so he could cuddle her. Viyansh looked at the other side, a smile appearing on his face as he admired the serene beauty sleeping beside him.

Viyansh's thoughts,

A lot has changed in just one day. I've come to realize my mistakes and the way I was treating her, not fully understanding what a gem she is. Spending over five hours with her today made me see her caring nature. During that time, she called everyone in the house to ensure they were okay, had their lunch, and that Dad had taken his medicine. She made sure everything was fine. Only when Dad scolded her did she stop calling them. I've come to know that she thinks of others before herself. I'm determined to make sure she doesn't need to worry about herself when I'm with her. I'll make her feel that I'm there for her.

(Vaidehi licked her lips in her sleep.)

Everything seems perfect with her, except for this one habit of hers. It's her tendency to unnecessarily lick her lips. It may be very common for her, but it makes it difficult for me to resist touching her. It gives me butterflies in my stomach. This girl is driving me crazy. I'm pretty sure that if those silly thoughts weren't clouding my mind, I would have fallen in love with her by now, maybe even love at first sight.

Soon, he noticed that she tossed in her sleep, and in no time, she hugged him.

Viyansh: "Ahh, finally. Now I can sleep."

Taking her into his embrace, he drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Viyansh woke up first and checked the time; it was 6 in the morning. Once again, he had the privilege of witnessing the best view – his wife peacefully sleeping in his embrace, resembling a child lost in sweet dreams. He gently extricated himself from her, ensuring to cover her with the duvet. After completing his morning routine, Viyansh headed to the gym. An hour or so later, he returned to find his beautiful wife already prepared for the day. She was dressed in an off-white ethnic outfit, sitting on the bed, engrossed in her phone.

Viyansh: "Good morning, Biwi."

She looked at him and smiled.

Vaidehi: "Good morning,  main aapka hi intezaar kar Rahi thi." (I was waiting for you.)

Viyansh: "Aur vo kyu? (And why is that?)"

Vaidehi: "Mujha laga hi tha aap bhul jayenge. (I thought you might forget.)"

He looked at her in confusion as she stood up and approached him with the vermillion box in her hand. She showed it to him, and a smile spread across his face. Seizing the moment, he swiftly applied vermillion in her hairline and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. She was taken aback by this unexpected gesture, her eyes widening in surprise.

Viyansh: "What? Can't I?"

Vaidehi gave him a shy smile and nodded positively.

Viyansh: "God, you are too cute, Biwi. Idhar aao. (Come here)."

He was about to hug her when she stepped back.

Vaidehi: "Noo."

Viyansh: "Why?"

Vaidehi: "You are all sweaty. Aap abhi gym se aaye hai aur main naha kar aayi hu. (You just came from the gym, and I just took a bath.)"

Viyansh: "Koi baat nahi mere sath phir se naha Lena, ab aao. (No problem, you can bathe again with me, now come.)"

He again moved towards her, but she ran and stood on the bed.

Vaidehi: "No, no, no. I don't like bathing. Please aap jaiye na naha lijiye. (You go and take a bath.)"

Viyansh: "Matlab agar tumhe nahana pasand hota toh tum mere sath naha leti?? (It means if you like bathing, then you would have taken a bath with me??)"

He was flirting with her, leaving her in a fully flushed state.

Vaidehi: "Ahh.. aap mujhe pareshan nahi na karein. (Please don't tease me.)"

Viyansh: "No, ab toh main tumhe hug karke rahunga. (Now I will hug you.)"

He said with a wicked smile while she started running, and he began chasing her. He was on the verge of catching her when she swiftly ran out of the room, not missing the chance to show him her tongue. He couldn't help but giggle at her playful reaction.

Viyansh then headed to the washroom to get ready for the day, while Vaidehi went downstairs. She performed her morning prayers and proceeded to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for everyone.

The household enjoyed a friendly banter during breakfast, and after the meal, all the men went to their respective workplaces.

In the afternoon, during lunchtime, Viyansh called Vaidehi. Typically, she sent his lunch with the driver, but this time, the conversation took a flirtatious turn. Viyansh teased her, making her blush and groan playfully, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and warmth.

As few more weeks passed, Vaidehi and Viyansh found themselves growing closer and more comfortable with each other. A subtle but profound connection was forming, and both were beginning to fall for one another. Vaidehi cherished the way Viyansh took care of her, indulged in playful flirts, and openly admired her. Similarly, Viyansh found himself captivated by the way Vaidehi looked after their family, her endearing blushes, her reactions to his touches, and, notably, he found himself enamored with her mole.

Later that night, everyone gathered on time to share a meal together. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie as they sat down for dinner, cherishing these moments of togetherness.

Finally, the moment Viyansh had been eagerly waiting for arrived. As soon as Vaidehi entered the room, she found herself captured in his embrace. His hands rested on her stomach, and with a swift move, he closed the door with his leg and locked it with his free hand.

Vaidehi, a bit startled, questioned,l.

Vaidehi: "Ye... Ye kya kar rahe hai aap??" (What are you doing?)

Viyansh, with a mischievous smile, replied.

Viyansh: "Apni biwi se romance." (Romancing with my wife)

He expressed it by burying his face into the crook of her neck, causing her body to tense up, and she felt a shiver running through her, raising goosebumps. Her stomach was aflutter with thousands of butterflies, creating a whirlwind of emotions inside her, yet she found herself unable to articulate a single word. This marked the initial instance where he had gotten exceptionally close to her. While they frequently exchanged hugs, this back hug, and the intimate contact of his face against her neck were entirely novel experiences for her. She found herself in a state of utter confusion, uncertain about how to respond. Meanwhile, he seemed oblivious to his surroundings, deeply inhaling her fragrance, tightening his grip on her stomach, and burying his face even further into the warmth of her neck. Under the influence of his gentle torment, an involuntary moan escaped her lips. The blush that spread across her face extended to her neck and ears, painting her in shades of crimson. Receiving no reaction from her, he turned her towards him, seeking acknowledgment. She avoided direct eye contact, lowering her gaze in shyness. Viyansh released his hold on her, frustration evident as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Viyansh: "Ahh, I'm so sorry Vaidehi. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."

Quickly, Vaidehi hugged him, burying her face in the crook of his neck. Viyansh reciprocated by wrapping his arms around her, and she stood on her toes to match his height.

Vaidehi spoke softly.

Vaidehi: "Sabse pehli baat toh Vaidehi nahi, biwi boliye. And secondly, you can never make me feel uncomfortable. It's just that, ki aap pehli baar.. aise.. Mera matlab itne... ahh... itne kareeb aaye...mere..toh Thoda jaldi ho gaya, ahh, I don't know, I'm nervous."

("First of all, it's not Vaidehi, call me biwi. And secondly, you can never make me feel uncomfortable. It's just that, you came so close for the first time... I mean, so... ahh... so intimately... It happened a bit quickly, ahh, I don't know, I'm nervous.")

Viyansh let her go and looked at her; he chuckled as she was blushing profusely.

Viyansh: "Ohh, it's already a month since our marriage. Mujhe toh laga ki main late hu." (I thought I'm late.)

She lowered her eyes in shyness.

Viyansh continued.

Viyansh: "Ahhh."

Leaning in, Viyansh kissed her cheeks tenderly.

He teasingly said.

Viyansh: "Biwi, these red cheeks are too tempting. It makes it difficult for me to control."

She blushed even more, and he pulled her closer by her waist. Her hands found their way to his neck, and he planted a kiss on her cheeks, followed by a playful bite.

Vaidehi let out a soft sound.

Vaidehi: "Ahh, Ansh."

He looked at her, and her eyes were closed, savoring his touch, she tighten her grip on his shirt.

Viyansh: "What did you call me?"

Vaidehi, a bit dazed, replied,.

Vaidehi: "Huh?"

Viyansh: "Call me again."

Vaidehi hesitated before saying.

Vaidehi: "Ansh."

Viyansh grinned, "Ahh, biwi, finally, you gave me a nickname as well. Now, c'mon, say my name as well."

Vaidehi protested:"Noo."

Viyansh playfully remarked.

Viyansh: "Bolti ho ya..." (Are you saying or...)

Vaidehi challenged.

Vaidehi: "Yaa kya kar lenge aap?" (What will you do?)

Viyansh: "Batata hu (Will let you know)."

Viyansh grinned mischievously and bit her other cheek.

Vaidehi exclaimed: "Viyansh."

He maintained his grin as she rubbed her cheeks with her hands.

Vaidehi complained.

Vaidehi: "Kitna zor se kaata aapne." (You bite so hard.)

Viyansh teased.

Viyansh: "Sukar manao sirf kaata hai." (Be glad I only bite.)

Vaidehi questioned.

Vaidehi: "Huhh kya matlab?" (What do you mean?)

Viyansh: "Matlab ye ki biwi tumhe toh pata bhi nahi hai ki mere man me tumhare liye kya kya hai." (I mean, wife, you don't have any idea what I have in my mind for you.)

She hid her face in his chest.

Vaidehi remarked.

Vaidehi: "Aap bahut besharam hai." (You are shameless.)

Viyansh countered.

Viyansh: "I thought I'm romantic."

She whined in response.

Viyansh suggested: "Okay, let's sleep."

Soon, Vaidehi, being the sleepyhead, dozed off. After some time, following her habitual routine, she rolled towards Viyansh, seeking comfort in his arms.

The next morning, Vaidehi found herself waking up first, and she was taken aback by her position. She looked at her husband's features, noticing how cute he looked while sleeping. Similar to Viyansh, she, too, was having some rather intimate thoughts about him, causing her to blush at her own imagination. Wanting to compose herself, she headed to the washroom. Upon her return, she discovered that he had already gone to the gym.

As per their usual routine, the family gathered for breakfast, sharing a meal together. Afterward, the men went off to attend to their respective work for the day.

In the afternoon, Vaidehi received a call from Viyansh, and she immediately picked up, reclining on the bed.

Vaidehi cheerfully exclaimed.

Vaidehi: "Heyy."

Viyansh, sitting in his chair, remarked.

Viyansh: "Woahh, someone seems to be very happy today."

Vaidehi responded with enthusiasm.

Vaidehi: "Yes."

Viyansh inquired: "May I know the reason, Biwi ji?"

Vaidehi:, "That I don't know."

Viyansh:- "Huhh??"

Vaidehi, giggling, replied: "Pata nahi, bas khush hu, but filhal toh bahut bore ho rahi hu. Kya karu?" (I don't know, I'm just happy, but right now, I'm very bored. What should I do?)

Viyansh suggested.

Viyansh: "Why don't you watch those nonsense dramas that you watch every time?"

Vaidehi defended.

Vaidehi: "They are not nonsense, and I'm not in the mood to watch that."

Viyansh then proposed.

Viyansh: "Okay then, do one thing. Come to the office; anyways, it's time for lunch, right?"

Vaidehi questioned: "Are you sure? Won't you get disturbed?"

Viyansh reassured her.

Viyansh: "Not at all, Biwi. Tum aa jao." (You just come.)

Excited, Vaidehi sat up straight and said.

Vaidehi: "Okay, done. Aati hu, akhir main bhi dekhu ki aap kitna gussa karte hai apne employees pe." (I'll come; let me see how much you get angry with your employees.)

Viyansh chuckled: "Okay baba, now come."

Vaidehi replied: "Coming, bye."

Viyansh: "I'm waiting, bye,"

and the call ended.

Soon, Vaidehi packed five lunch boxes. One was sent with the house help to Vihaan's firm, while she took the rest with her and asked the driver to drop her at Singhania & Co.

Upon arriving at the gates of Singhania & Co., she gazed at the massive building, feeling a sense of pride for her father-in-law and her husband.

Meanwhile, Viyansh was ready to go down and receive Vaidehi when he noticed an error in the file he was about to sign. An error in such a significant project made him angry, and he quickly descended.

Storming into his marketing head's office, he angrily threw the file onto his table.

Viyansh: "Mr. Desai, what is this? This is a massive project, and is this the standard of your work?"

Mr. Desai: "I apologize Sir; I will rectify it as soon as possible."

Viyansh: "What do you mean by "I'll get it done"? First, explain to me how this mistake occurred."

Viyansh was seething with anger as he shouted at the employees for the mistake in the project. Frustrated, he stormed out of the office and headed to the ground floor to receive Vaidehi. To his dismay, he found some employees gossiping and not working. This lack of dedication fueled his anger even more, and he began shouting at them as well.

Amidst the tension, a familiar laugh echoed through the office. The entire floor fell silent as everyone turned to the source of the laughter. Viyansh, shocked, approached the scene and unexpectedly hugged one of his male employees. He leaned in and whispered something in the employee's ear.

Viyansh cautioned his employee.

Viyansh:"Don't even think about mentioning that I was shouting at you."

The other employees were stunned by his unusual conduct. The laughter that had captured everyone's attention was from Vaidehi.

Approaching him, Vaidehi was about to be halted by the receptionist when Viyansh intervened.

Viyansh firmly stated.

Viyansh: "Don't you dare, Ms. Mehra. She's my wife."

A wave of astonishment swept through the employees as Viyansh disclosed this new facet of his life. While they were aware of their boss's marital status, seeing his wife for the first time was an unexpected surprise. Vaidehi, adorned in a beautiful pastel pink ethnic dress, complemented her attire with bangles on her wrists, the sacred nuptial chain (Mangalsutra) around her neck, and vermilion adorning her hairline. The sudden attention from the onlookers made her self-conscious about her appearance.

As Viyansh approached, he enveloped Vaidehi in his arms as he wrapped his hands around her shoulder, and she, glancing up at him, responded with a warm smile.

Viyansh: "Attention, everybody, please meet my wife, Mrs. Vaidehi Viyansh Singhania."

Vaidehi: "Hello."

Receptionist: "Hello, Ma'am, and I'm so sorry for..."

Vaidehi: "No issues."

The rest of the employees warmly greeted and congratulated the couple.

Viyansh: "Chaien? (Shall we go?)"

Vaidehi: "Jii (yes)"

Viyansh then led her toward the elevator, and they reached the topmost floor. Upon their arrival, Viyansh had already instructed the peon to deliver the lunch boxes to their father, Viraj, and Virat.

As Viyansh opened the door to his cabin, Vaidehi was about to enter when he stopped her.

Viyansh: "Wait a minute, I'll be back."

He went inside and returned with an Aarti ki thali. Performing a small ritual, he did an aarti for Vaidehi, applying tilak on her forehead and showering holy flowers upon her. The sincerity of the gesture brought tears to her eyes, and she couldn't help but be moved by the unexpected ritual.

Vaidehi:- "Ye kya kiya aapne. (What did you do?)"

Viyansh:- "Ghar me Lakshmi ka swagat aise hi karte hai na, toh mere office me bhi meri Lakshmi ka swagat aise hi hona chahiye na."

("If we welcome Lakshmi (goddess of wealth) into our homes like this, then in my office too, the welcome for my Lakshmi should be like this, right?")

He gently wiped away her tears, his touch offering comfort.

Viyansh: "Ab aao bhi andar. (Now come inside)."

She entered his cabin, and he enveloped her in a back hug.

Viyansh: "How's it?"

Vaidehi: "Too good, just like you."

She expressed her satisfaction while placing her palm on his cheek, and his chin rested against her shoulder.

Then, he guided her to sit in his chair, while he took a seat on the table in front of her.

Viyansh: "Ab tum aa gayi ho, ab main kaam kaise karunga. (Now that you have come, how will I work?)"

Vaidehi: "Vo aise ki abhi aap lunch karenge aur phir main vapas ghar jaungi. (Like now, you will have your lunch, and then I'll go back home)."

Viyansh made a playful expression, pouting and expressing reluctance.

Viyansh: (pouts) "No, please don't go."

Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle. She stood up, moved to the couch, and began serving him lunch. He joined her, sitting beside her, ready to enjoy the meal.

Vaidehi playfully teased Viyansh about his supposed calm demeanor with employees.

Vaidehi: "Vaise koi toh keh raha tha ki vo employees pe gussa nahi karte. (Someone was saying that he doesn't get angry at employees)."

Viyansh: "Shut up, Biwi."

Vaidehi couldn't resist continuing her playful banter.

Vaidehi: "But I'm not wearing any "Shirt," Ansh."

Viyansh was taken aback by her unexpected boldness.

Viyansh: "Acting bold, are we, Biwi?"

Vaidehi confidently questioned him.

Vaidehi: "Can't I, Ansh?"

To gauge if something was amiss, Viyansh checked her temperature by touching her forehead.

Viyansh: "Hua kya hai tumhe?? (What has happened to you??)"

Vaidehi dismissed it with a light-hearted response.

Vaidehi: "Kuch bhi toh nahi, chaliye ab khana kha lijiye. (Nothing, let's eat now)"

Viyansh: "Tumne khaya? (Did you eat?)"

Vaidehi: "Noo."

Viyansh: "Aao phir (come then)"

Viyansh, still puzzled by her behavior, continued with their lunch, sharing moments of laughter and joy.
