Chapter 60: "Moments of Intimacy"

Whispers of RomanceWords: 48511

Vaidehi and Viyansh were still sleeping, exhausted from all the wedding festivities of Vihaan and Vanshika. The celebrations had been grand and joyous, but they had taken a toll on everyone involved. Now that everything was finally over, everybody could rest. In the soft morning light, Viyansh woke up first. He looked over at Vaidehi, still peacefully asleep beside him. Gently, he leaned in and kissed her forehead, a gesture of his deep affection. Then, with equal tenderness, he kissed her stomach. This had become a new ritual for him, ever since they had learned about the baby. After that, Viyansh carefully adjusted the pillows around her. This was a habit he had developed when she was on bed rest after being shot. During that time, he had been overly protective, making sure she was comfortable and safe. Vaidehi had initially found his overprotectiveness a bit much and had gently asked him to ease up, but now, with her carrying their child, Viyansh was determined not to compromise on her safety and comfort.  He then went to freshen up and get ready for the day. The quiet of the early morning provided a peaceful backdrop as he washed away the remnants of sleep and fatigue from the past days of celebration. The cool water on his face helped clear his mind, and he took a moment to gather his thoughts and plan for the day ahead. After dressing, he returned to their room, where Vaidehi was still soundly asleep. The sight of her sleeping so peacefully brought a tender smile to his face. However, he knew that it was time for her to wake up and take her medicines. Viyansh moved quietly to the side of the bed and sat down beside her, careful not to startle her. He reached out and gently caressed her head, his fingers lightly brushing through her hair.

Viyansh: "Jaan, get up bachcha, you must be hungry na."

She stirred, her eyelids fluttering as she gradually awoke. Instead of fully rising, Vaidehi shifted closer to Viyansh, placing her head on his lap. She hid her face in his stomach, a comforting habit she had developed over the many months of their relationship. This gesture always melted his heart, reminding him of the deep bond they shared.Viyansh smiled, his hand instinctively moving to gently stroke her hair. He felt her warm breath through the fabric of his shirt and the softness of her skin against him. For a moment, everything felt perfectly serene. Vaidehi mumbled something incoherent, still half-asleep, but the contentment in her posture was unmistakable. Viyansh couldn't help but lean down, peppering her face with soft kisses. He kissed her forehead, her cheeks, her nose—everywhere he could reach without disturbing her too much. She giggled softly, the ticklish sensation of his kisses waking her up a bit more.

Vaidehi: “Stop it,”

She murmured playfully, though she made no move to get up.

Viyansh: “Never”

Viyansh replied with a chuckle, continuing his affectionate assault.

Viyansh: “I love seeing you like this.”

Her giggles turned into a soft laugh, and she finally looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with love and happiness.

Vaidehi: “You’re impossible,”

She said, though her tone was filled with adoration.

Viyansh: “And you love me”

He teased back, placing a final kiss on her lips.

With a sigh of contentment, she closed her eyes briefly before opening them again.

Vaidehi: “Okay, okay, I’m up”

She said, sitting up slowly but keeping close to him.

Viyansh: "Jaan, good morning."

Vaidehi: "Ansh, I'm tired. I want to sleep more."

Viyansh: "I know, bachcha, just eat something, take your medicines, and then you can sleep, okay?"

He cooed softly to her, his voice a gentle melody meant to wake her tenderly. Vaidehi slowly opened her eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep. As her vision cleared, she saw Viyansh's face close to hers, a loving smile playing on his lips. This was a sight she had grown used to, yet it never failed to give her a deep sense of satisfaction and comfort.

Vaidehi: "Good morning mere baby ke papa."

(Good morning, daddy of my baby.)

Viyansh: "Good morning meri beti ki mumma."

(Good morning, mommy of my daughter.)

He whispered, his fingers still gently stroking her hair. He gently pinched her nose, causing her to burst into a fit of giggles. His laughter quickly joined hers, filling the room with their shared joy and playful energy.

Viyansh: "Okay, now go, get ready."

Vaidehi made playful faces before reluctantly heading towards the washroom, her expression a mix of sleepy reluctance and mischief. Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle at her antics. As she disappeared into the bathroom, he shook his head with a fond smile. "She's such a baby herself," he thought, amusement dancing in his eyes. "And now we're going to have our own baby. Looks like I'll have my hands full with two little ones." He chuckled softly at his own thoughts, the prospect of their expanding family filling him with joy and a sense of responsibility. After they both got ready, Viyansh prepared for his office while Vaidehi readied herself for her day at the Academy. Both Viyansh and Vaidehi descended the stairs together, their morning routines complete but with Vaidehi moving slower than usual. Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle affectionately at her deliberate pace, understanding that she was being extra cautious about their unborn child. He had noticed her concern the previous night when she had asked him to ensure she didn't sleep on her stomach. Despite his reassurances, she remained vigilant, prioritizing their baby's safety above all else. After performing their morning prayers together, they entered the dining area where Viraj and Virat, were already seated with identical pouts on their faces. Viyansh greeted them warmly, ruffling their hair as he passed by.

Vaidehi: "What happened, Raj, Veer?"

Viyansh gently guided Vaidehi to her chair at the dining table, ensuring she was comfortable before seating himself nearby. He took a moment to glance at her with a soft smile.

Viyansh: "Ki hogi dono ne koi badmashi aur papa se daat khayi hogi."

(What else? They must have done some mischief and got scolded by Dad.)

Viyansh sat beside Vaidehi, but he couldn't help but notice the annoyed looks from his younger brothers.

Vaidehi: "Annshhh."

Viyansh: "Ok ok sorry jaana."

Vaidehi: "Kya hua hai, aap dono aise kyu baithe hai??"

(What's wrong? Why are you both sitting like this?)

Viraj: "Bhabhi maa yaar, papa aapke aur baby ke liye kuch bana rahe hai but hume kitchen se nikal diya."

(Bhabhi maa, Dad is cooking something for you and the baby, but he kicked us out of the kitchen)

Vaidehi: "Arehh kyu??"

(Why?)

Virat: "Kyuki unhe lagta hai hum sab kharab kar denge. Aur Hume nahi nikala hai bhabhi maa, hume dhakke maar ke bahar nikala hai can you believe it???"

(Because he thinks we'll ruin everything. And he didn't just ask us to leave, bhabhi maa, he literally pushed us out. Can you believe it?)

The twins complained to Vaidehi about their father, expressing their grievances, while Viyansh couldn't help but giggle at their antics. His amusement showed how he found their complaints both amusing and endearing, despite possibly understanding their frustrations.

Viyansh: "Ha toh galat kya kiya papa ne?"

(Well, what did Dad do wrong?)

Virat: "Bhabhi maa dekhiye na bhai ko"

(Bhabhi maa, look at Bhai)

Vaidehi: "Ansh, chup kariye aap."

(Ansh, be quiet.)

Viyansh shrugged his shoulders in a playful manner, pretending to be nonchalant about the earlier conversation. He picked up the serving dishes and began to dish out food for Vaidehi and himself, making sure to serve her first. He placed a generous portion of their favorite breakfast dishes on their plates.

Vaidehi: "Koi baat nahi, main puchti hu unse aane do unhe."

(It's okay, I'll ask him when he comes.)

Vikram approached with a sad expression, quietly taking a seat and placing his apron on the table.

Viyansh: "Kya hua papa?"

(What happened, Dad?)

Viraj and Virat exchanged mischievous glances, their earlier serious expressions replaced by mischievous grins and then burst into giggles.

Vikram: "Chup Karo dono."

(Both of you, be quiet.)

Viraj: "Lagta hai aapse bhi nahi bana."

(It seems you couldn't make it either.)

Virat: "Kya hua papa, hum dono toh kitchen se bahar aa gaye phir kaise nahi bana paye aap."

(What happened, Dad? We left the kitchen, so how did you still not manage?)

The twins playfully taunted their father and high-fived each other in jest. However, their innocent playfulness earned them a stern slap on the back from their father and older brother. Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle softly at the scene.

Vaidehi: "Kya bana rahe the Popsy?"

(What were you making, Popsy?)

Vikram: "Gondh ke ladoo, pregnancy me usse immunity achchi rehti hai aur taakat milti hai."

(Gondh ke ladoo, they help boost immunity and strength during pregnancy.)

Viyansh: "Tab toh biwi ko iski bahaut zarurat hai papa."

(Then my wife really needs them, Dad.)

Vikram: "I know but mujhse thik se bana hi nahi."

(I know, but I couldn't make them properly.")

Sangeeta: "Isiliye main bana layi."

(That's why I made them.)

As Sangeeta's voice rang out, echoing through the room, heads turned in unison to see the familiar figures of the Oberoi family standing there, their presence instantly lighting up the atmosphere. The room seemed to brighten as smiles broke out on everyone's faces.  Sangeeta, Abhinav and Harshvardhan came towards them.  Viyansh, ever respectful of tradition, rose promptly and moved towards them, bowing slightly to seek their blessings. Vikram, Virat, and Virat, exchanged warm greetings. Meanwhile, Vaidehi, unable to contain her joy, hurried over to her grandfather, Harshvardhan, and enveloped him in a tight hug.

Vaidehi: "Oh my god dadu, you are looking so handsome, mere liya new dadi dundhne nikle ho kya??"

(Oh my god, Grandpa, you are looking so handsome. Are you out looking for a new Grandma for me?)

Harshvardhan: "Chupp badmaash."

(Quiet, you naughty girl.)

Vaidehi's giggles rang out joyfully as Harshvardhan affectionately patted her cheeks.

Abhinav: "Kaisi hai beta?"

(How are you, dear?)

Vaidehi's smiled as she leaned in and gave Abhinav a side hug, expressing her happiness at seeing him again.

Vaidehi: "Achchi hu papa."

(I'm good, Dad)

Sangeeta: "Dekh main tere liye ye gondh ke ladoo layi hu. Isse taakat milegi tujhe."

(Look, I brought these gondh ke ladoo for you. They will give you strength.)

Sangeeta carefully placed the box on the table, her movements deliberate yet filled with a quiet grace. Meanwhile, Vaidehi rushed over and embraced her, the warmth of their reunion evident in the way they held each other.

Vaidehi: "Thank you Mumma."

Sangeeta: "Mumma ko koi thank you bolta hai??"

(Who says thank you to their mom?)

She just smiled.

As Abhinav handed Vaidehi a bouquet and a sorry card, the atmosphere in the room shifted palpably. Vaidehi's smile faded, replaced by a look of surprise and uncertainty. She took the bouquet and the card with a sense of hesitation, her fingers tracing the edges of the card as she processed the unexpected gesture. Viyansh noticed the change in Vaidehi's demeanor immediately, his brows furrowing with concern. He moved closer to her side, placing a supportive hand on her shoulder. The tension that followed was almost tangible, casting a slight shadow over the previously joyous gathering.

Vaidehi: "Maine toh bola tha na aap log ko, iski zarurat nahi hai ab."

(I told you all, this isn't necessary anymore.)

Sangeeta: "Toh kya tune Hume maaf Kiya beta??"

(So, does that mean you've forgiven us, dear?)

Vaidehi's silence and lowered gaze indicated a deep contemplation or inner turmoil. Her response, or lack thereof, spoke volumes about the weight of the situation and the emotions stirred by Abhinav's gesture.

Abhinav: "Koi baat nahi, hum intezar karenge."

(It's okay, we'll wait.)

As Sangeeta and Abhinav turned to leave, their footsteps marking their departure, the room seemed to hold its breath in anticipation. Then, breaking the silence, Vaidehi's voice finally cut through the tension. Her words, though spoken softly, carried a weight that demanded attention.

Vaidehi: "Par main koshish kar rahi hu."

(But I'm trying.)

Sangeeta and Abhinav halted in their tracks, turning back with a mix of concern and curiosity etched on their faces as they faced Vaidehi.

Vaidehi: "Maine aap dono ko maaf Kiya ya nahi, kabhi kar paungi ya nahi pata nahi, par main koshish kar rahi hu. Toh aap please mujhse naraz hoke mat jaiye."

(I don't know if I've forgiven you both, or if I'll ever be able to, but I'm trying. So please don't leave being upset with me)

Both Abhinav and Sangeeta rushed over to Vaidehi and embraced her tightly when they noticed tears welling up in her eyes.

Sangeeta: "Shh beta, hum naraz nahi hai"

(Shh, dear, we're not upset.)

Abhinav gently pulled back from the hug, his hands tenderly cupping Vaidehi's face.

Abhinav: "Meri bachchi mujhe papa bulati hai mere liye itna hi kafi, tujhe isse zyada sochne ki zarurat nahi hai, okay??"

(My girl calls me Dad, and that's enough for me. You don't need to think about it more than that, okay?)

She just nodded. Sangeeta, sensing Vaidehi's subdued mood, took a gentle approach to lift her spirits.

Sangeeta: "Achcha, zara ye ladoo taste karke batana achche hai ya nahi??"

(Alright, now taste these ladoos and tell me if they're good or not?)

As Sangeeta playfully fed a bite to Vaidehi, a tender smile spread across Vaidehi's face. Vaidehi savored the bite, the flavors mingling with the warmth of familial love that filled the room.

Vaidehi: "Ye toh bahaut tasty hai."

(These are very tasty.)

As Vaidehi took the box from the table and opened it, she peered inside with curiosity, her brows furrowing slightly as she examined its contents.

Vaidehi: "Par mumma, ye toh kitne kum hai main 2 din me bhi khatam kar sakti hu ye main."

(But Mom, these are so few. I can finish them in two days.)

The tension of earlier moments seemed to dissipate as laughter filled the room. Sangeeta, moved by the shared joy, leaned in and kissed Vaidehi's forehead affectionately, a gesture of maternal love and reassurance.

Sangeeta: "Main aur bana laungi."

(I'll make more.)

Vaidehi's big smile, sparked by the warmth of her mother's affectionate gesture, illuminated her face.

Vikram: "Please come and have breakfast with us"

Harshvardhan, Sangeeta and Abhinav initially hesitated, politely declining with gracious smiles. However, their resolve quickly softened when they caught sight of their daughter, who was looking at them with a pleading expression—her "puppy face. With the decision made, they all settled around the dining table. Servants bustled around, serving a variety of breakfast dishes—fresh fruits, warm breads, aromatic coffee, and traditional delicacies that catered to everyone's tastes.

After Viyansh sweetly offered the first bite to Vaidehi, a tradition that showcased their closeness and consideration for each other, the family enjoyed their breakfast together. Once breakfast concluded, they migrated to the living room, a comfortable and familiar space where they continued their conversations.

Harshvardhan: "Vikram, Viyansh, actually kuch baat karni thi aap dono se."

(Vikram, Viyansh, actually I needed to talk to both of you.)

Viyansh: "Ji dadu kahiye na"

(Yes, Grandpa, go ahead.)

Harshvardhan's gaze shifted between Sangeeta and Abhinav, his eyes communicating a message that was perhaps laden with unspoken thoughts.

Abhinav: "Actually hum kuch dino ke liye Vaidehi ko ghar le jaana chahte hai."

(Actually, we want to take Vaidehi home for a few days.)

The sudden shift in atmosphere was palpable as the smiles faded from the Singhania family's faces, replaced by a solemnity that mirrored the gravity of Harshvardhan's unspoken gesture. Vaidehi's immediate reaction was to reach out and tightly grip Viyansh's hand, seeking comfort and support in the face of the unexpected change in mood. Viyansh gazed at her with concern, noticing the sadness etched on her face.

Virat: "Nahi bhabhi maa kahi nahi jayengi."

(No, Bhabhi Maa isn't going anywhere.)

Viraj: "Hum jaane hi nahi denge, pregnant hai vo unka khayal rakhna hai abhi toh."

(We won't let her go, she's pregnant and needs to be taken care of.)

Vikram: "Viraj, Virat."

Vikram's glare at the twins served as a firm interruption, signaling a need to respect the elders' moment and the gravity of the situation.

Harshvardhan: "We know that, and don't worry, we'll take care of her."

Sangeeta: "Vaise bhi inki Shadi ke baad se kabhi ghar bhi nahi aayi hai. Aap chinta mat kariyega hum pura khayal rakhenge uska."

(Besides, she hasn't come home since her wedding. Don't worry, we'll take good care of her.")

Vikram: "Aapko puchne zarurat nahi hai aap hi ki beti hai."

(You don't need to ask, she is your daughter.)

As the Oberois smiled warmly, their gaze turned towards Vaidehi, who sat with her gaze lowered, her expression subdued. Sangeeta and Abhinav exchanged a concerned glance, sensing Vaidehi's unease despite their efforts to maintain a cheerful atmosphere.

Harshvardhan: "Chalegi na beta vapas ghar??"

(You'll come back home, right, dear?)

Harshvardhan's request carried a weight that Vaidehi found difficult to refuse, guided by her deep respect and love for her grandfather. As Vaidehi faintly smiled at her grandfather's request, Viyansh sensed the underlying reluctance in her expression, despite her effort to comply. His heart sank slightly, knowing that she didn't truly want to go but also understanding the importance of family and their desire to spend time with her. Feeling her hand on his bicep, Viyansh gently caressed it, offering a silent gesture of support and understanding. He knew she needed reassurance, even if she couldn't meet his gaze at that moment.

Sangeeta: "Beta, toh ja apna bag pack kar le, ya main help kar du kuch??"

(Dear, go pack your bag, or should I help you?)

Vaidehi: "Nahi mumma, main kar lungi."

(No, Mom, I'll do it)

Sangeeta's smile held a blend of encouragement and support as she observed Vaidehi standing up, ready to comply with her grandfather's wishes despite her inner reservations. Vaidehi stood up as a few men arrived at the scene.

Man 1: "Viyansh sir?"

Viyansh glanced at the men as they approached, prompting him to stand and engage in conversation with them. After a brief exchange, he turned back to the family, possibly with news or a decision to share, indicating a shift in the situation that might bring clarity or resolution.

Vikram: "Ye sab kya hai Viyansh?"

(What's all this, Viyansh?)

Viyansh: "Papa vo actually ye sab Ghar ko baby proof banane aaye hai."

(Dad, actually they came to baby-proof the house.)

The men's smiled warmly at his caring gesture.

Sangeeta: "Abhi se??? Abhi toh bahaut waqt hai."

(Already? There's still a lot of time.)

Viyansh: "Areh mumma, aapki beti kya kum baby hai, har waqt yaha vaha kudna aur chot lagana aadat hai inki."

(Oh Mom, isn't your daughter a baby herself? She's always jumping around and getting hurt.)

As the chuckles faded and Vaidehi excused herself to her room, Vikram's concern deepened. Vikram sensed his daughter's distress, recognizing her reluctance to go with the Oberois despite his own reservations about sending her away. He hoped that this opportunity would mend Vaidehi's relationship with her parents. Meanwhile, Viyansh remained occupied with the individuals making changes around the house. Viraj and Virat, sensing Vaidehi's distress, followed her to her room. They found her quietly packing her bag, her expression betraying her inner turmoil despite her efforts to maintain composure. Her sadness was palpable, reflecting the conflict between her desire to stay and her sense of obligation to comply with her grandfather's wishes.

Viraj: "Bhabhi maa"

Seeing Viraj and Virat enter her room, Vaidehi's attempt to smile conveyed her appreciation for their presence. They approached her with understanding, gently taking her hand in a gesture of comfort.

Virat: "Aap nahi jao na bhabhi maa please."

(Please don't go, Bhabhi Maa.)

Viraj: "Hum kaise rahenge aapke bina??"

(How will we manage without you?)

Vaidehi gently caressed both Viraj's and Virat's cheeks, conveying her affection.

Vaidehi: "Kuch dino ki baat hai monkeys, main vapas aa hi jaungi na."

(It's just a matter of a few days, monkeys. I'll be back soon.)

Feeling the deep connection and shared emotions in the room, Viraj and Virat enveloped Vaidehi in a heartfelt embrace. Vaidehi, embraced them, felt a surge of warmth and love.

Viraj, Virat: "We'll miss you bhabhi maa."

Vaidehi: "I'll miss you too."

Soon, the three of them—Vaidehi, Viraj, and Virat—descended the stairs together. Viyansh also returned, but Vaidehi avoided making eye contact with him. Instead, she walked over and embraced Vikram tightly. He noticed Vaidehi's avoidance of his gaze, a pang of concern tugging at his heart.

Vikram: "Jaldi aana ladoo."

(Come back soon, dear.)

She just smiled.

Vaidehi: "Ji Popsy."

(Yes)

Abhinav: "Chale beta??"

(Shall we go, dear?)

As Vaidehi nodded in acknowledgment, Abhinav took charge of her bag. The family moved outside toward their waiting car, the atmosphere heavy with unspoken feelings and the weight of separation. As the Singhania family accompanied Vaidehi towards the car, Viyansh's heart sank with the realization that he hadn't had a chance to speak with her. Inside the car, as Vaidehi positioned herself, a lone tear escaped her eye, a testament to the inner turmoil she was experiencing. She quickly wiped it away, striving to maintain composure and hide her emotions from the rest of the family. His heart ached at the sight, wishing he could wipe away her tears and reassure her that everything would be alright. With Vaidehi settled, the Oberois bid a final farewell, and the car departed, carrying her away from the familiar surroundings and loved ones she had just left behind.  As the car pulled away, leaving Viyansh behind, he stood watching until they were out of sight. He felt a pang of emptiness, missing her presence already.

Virat and Viraj turned towards Viyansh, their hands on their hips and eyes glaring at him. Their posture and expressions clearly conveyed their disapproval and frustration.

Viyansh: "What???"

Viraj: "Har baat samajh jaate hai na aap bhabhi maa ki."

(You understand everything, right, whatever Bhabhi Maa says?)

Virat: "Toh unhe nahi jaana tha ye nahi samajh paye??"

(So how come you didn't understand that she didn't want to go?)

Viyansh: "Janta hu, par vo bhi biwi ki family na main kaise mana kar sakta hu?"

(I know, but they are her family too, how could I say no?)

Viraj: "rehne do aap."

(Forget it.)

The twins, upset with Viyansh, turned and left without another word. Vikram approached Viyansh, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze.

Vikram: "Relax, kuch hi dino ki baat hai."

(Relax, it's a matter of few days.)

Viyansh managed a faint smile in response to Vikram's gesture, with the moment passing, everyone gradually dispersed to attend to their respective tasks.

Vaidehi reached the grand Oberoi house, where a warm and exuberant welcome awaited her. The moment she stepped in, a cascade of delicate flower petals rained down, enveloping her in a fragrant embrace. Amidst the colorful shower, she noticed a table laden with her favorite chocolates, their shiny wrappers catching the light and adding a touch of nostalgia and joy.

Her parents, eyes gleaming with delight and love, were by her side every second. They doted on her, making sure she had everything she loved, from her favorite foods to cherished knick-knacks. Her mother prepared an array of delicious dishes, from savory snacks to delectable sweets, each one a taste of her childhood. Her father, not to be outdone, brought out an assortment of little surprises he knew she would appreciate.

As they gathered around, her parents began recounting tales from her childhood, painting vivid pictures of the past. They spoke of her first steps, her mischievous antics, and the many happy moments that had filled their lives. Although Vaidehi didn't remember many of these stories, she listened intently, her heart swelling with warmth and gratitude. She could see the love and pride in her parents' eyes, and it made her feel deeply cherished.

Despite the abundance of food and the affectionate coaxing of her parents, Vaidehi found herself eating only sparingly. It wasn’t the food she craved, but the love and the connection she felt in those moments. Her heart was full, and she basked in the affection that surrounded her. The day flew by in a whirl of laughter, stories, and the tender care of her parents.

As night fell, the joyous energy of the day gave way to a peaceful calm. Vaidehi opted for a simple dinner of lentils and rice, comfort food that grounded her after the emotional high of the day. She savored each bite, appreciating the simplicity and the familiarity. After dinner, she excused herself to retire to her room. In the quiet of her room, Vaidehi finally had a moment to herself. She sat on the edge of her bed, reflecting on the day's events. The love and care her parents had shown her were undeniable, and she appreciated their efforts to make her feel special and cherished. However, a part of her still felt incomplete, missing the presence of Viyansh and the comfort of her home with him. She lay down, staring at the ceiling, her thoughts drifting to Viyansh. She missed his reassuring presence, his gentle touch, and the way he understood her without words.

As Vaidehi settled onto her bed, she reached for her mobile but found herself drifting into deep thought instead.

Vaidehi: "Pura din beet gaya aur inhone ek call nahi Kiya mujhe. Main kar lu kya?? Par main toh naraz hu Ansh se."

(The whole day passed and he didn't call me even once. Should I call him? But I'm mad at Ansh. )

As Vaidehi set her phone aside, she leaned back against the headboard of her bed, her hands folded on her chest. The room was quiet now, the only sound the soft hum of the night outside. She closed her eyes, focusing on her breathing, trying to find a sense of calm amidst the swirling thoughts and emotions.

Vaidehi: "Ek baar roka bhi nahi mujhe, jante hai main nahi reh sakti unke bina phir bhi, huhh. Par mujhe toh bahaut yaad aa rhi hai. Chodo gussa baad me kar lu par baat toh karu."

(He didn't even stop me once, knowing I can't live without him. Still, I miss him so much. Forget the anger, I'll call him and at least talk.)

She tried dialing Viyansh's number several times, but each attempt went unanswered. The lack of response added to her unease, leaving her wondering why he wasn't picking up and adding to her already swirling thoughts and emotions.

Vaidehi: "Ek din hua nahi mujhe yaha aake aur inke nakhre shuru, sab pati ek jaise hi hote hai."

(It's not even one day here, and he's already showing his tantrums. All husbands are the same.)

Vaidehi's frustration with the unanswered calls led her to toss her phone onto the bed with a mixture of disappointment and resignation. As it landed softly among the covers, she shifted her focus inward, placing her hand tenderly on her stomach. Placing her hand gently on her stomach, she caressed it with tenderness and care. Her touch was soft, filled with a mixture of emotions—love, protectiveness, and a deep sense of connection to the life forming inside her. Despite the uncertainties and complexities surrounding her, this bond with her unborn child provided a source of solace and strength.

Vaidehi: "Baby, mumma naraz hai papa se, par aap mat hona okay, kyuki papa na bahaut achche hai, aur mumma aur aapse bahaut pyaar bhi karte hai. Haa abhi unka dimag lagta hai walk pe gaya hai, mumma jaldi hi vo bhi thik kar degi okay??"

(Baby, Mumma is mad at Papa, but you don't be, okay? Because Papa is very good, and he loves Mumma and you very much. Yes, right now his brain seems to be on a walk, but Mumma will fix that soon, okay?)

Vaidehi was talking with baby when she heard a voice coming from her balcony.

"Achcha ji"

(Oh Really)

Vaidehi turned towards the sliding door and then hurried to the balcony. Vaidehi's heart skipped a beat as she glanced out to the balcony and saw Viyansh standing on a ladder, his figure silhouetted against the backdrop of the evening sky. The surprise and shock painted across her face as she instinctively covered her mouth with her hand, a mixture of concern and relief washing over her. Seeing him there, balancing on the ladder with the railing for support, brought a rush of emotions. She hadn't expected to find him outside her balcony, and the sight of him in such a precarious position sparked immediate worry.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, aap yaha aise kya kar rahe hai??"

(Ansh, what are you doing here?)

Viyansh: "Ruko yaar Biwi andar toh aane do."

(Wait, dear, let me come inside first.)

Vaidehi extended her hand instinctively, ready to assist Viyansh as he balanced on the ladder, but he gently declined her offer.

Viyansh: "Nahi bachcha aap piche hato, aapko heavy kaam karna mana hai. I'll come by my own, aap please piche hato."

(No, sweetheart, step back. You're not supposed to do heavy work. I'll come in on my own. Please, step back.)

Vaidehi: "Achcha ye jo aapke hath me hai vo de dijiye."

(Okay, give me what you're holding.)

Viyansh: "Noo even this is heavy, aap bas piche hato na bachcha."

(No, even this is heavy. You just step back, dear.)

In a rush of emotion, Vaidehi instinctively moved back as Viyansh had instructed. With a daring leap, Viyansh vaulted over the balcony railing and landed safely inside. As soon as he straightened up, Vaidehi threw herself into his arms, clinging to him tightly. Her hug was tight, expressing both relief and the intensity of her emotions. Vaidehi buried her face in Viyansh's chest, seeking solace and comfort in his presence. She rubbed her cheeks against his chest and her tears dampened his shirt, her emotions pouring out in this unguarded moment.

As Viyansh wrapped his arms around Vaidehi, he felt a mix of surprise and deep concern, though he had anticipated such an emotional moment might come. Vaidehi's intense grip on his shirt and refusal to let go showed the depth of her need for comfort and reassurance. He gently tried to pull her, but she held on tightly, her hands fisting his shirt against his back, seeking solace and comfort in his presence. Realizing her need for reassurance, Viyansh lifted her effortlessly into his arms, cradling her close as he carried her inside the room. Carefully placing her down on his lap on the edge of the bed, he set aside the bags he had been carrying and focused entirely on her. With Vaidehi nestled against him, he began stroking her hair soothingly, his touch gentle and comforting. He wanted to calm her, to ease the emotions that had overwhelmed her moments ago. His actions were tender and deliberate, conveying his support and understanding without the need for words. As he felt her gradually relax in his arms, he leaned his head against hers, his own heart swelling with affection and a deep sense of connection.

Viyansh: "Jaana??"

Vaidehi: "Don't jaana me, I'm not talking to you."

Feeling Vaidehi's cheek against his chest, Viyansh couldn't help but smile warmly. He tightened his embrace, holding her close as she sought comfort in their closeness. His arms around her were both protective and comforting. Vaidehi, feeling secure in his arms, continued to rub her cheeks gently against his chest, soaking in the warmth and familiarity of his touch.

Viyansh: "And why my queen won't talk to me?"

As Vaidehi pulled herself back from the hug, Viyansh looked at her with surprise, his smile fading as he noticed the angry teary eyes that met his gaze. Before he could react, she started hitting him on his chest with her tiny hands, the blows soft yet filled with frustration and emotion.

Vaidehi: "Jab se yaha aayi hu kitni baar call Kiya aapne mujhe??"

(Since I came here, how many times have you called me?)

Viyansh's chuckle broke the tension, his heart lightening as he held Vaidehi's hand and gently pulled her back into his embrace. Wrapping his arms around her, he held her close, his touch conveying reassurance and affection. Vaidehi, feeling the warmth of his embrace once again, melted into his arms. She leaned her head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, a comforting cadence that grounded her.

Viyansh: "Achcha mera bachcha, I'm sorry."

Vaidehi pulled back slightly from Viyansh's embrace, her gaze meeting his with a mix of complaints.

Vaidehi: "Nahi nahi, no sorry, aap jante hai na main nahi reh paungi aapke bagair, toh kyu nahi roka mujhe??? Kyu jaane Diya?? Bahaut bure hai aap."

(No, no, no sorry. You know I can't stay without you, so why didn't you stop me? Why did you let me go? You're very mean.)

Vaidehi shifted from Viyansh's lap to sit beside him, crossing her arms tightly over her chest and looking away.  Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle softly at her cute, slightly stubborn gesture. Her demeanor, a mix of playfulness and vulnerability, tugged at his heartstrings. With a gentle smile, Viyansh stretched out one leg, letting it hang off the edge of the bed, while keeping the other comfortably on the bed. Sensing her withdrawal into herself, he reached out, pulling her gently back between his legs and wrapping his arms around her from the side. Resting his cheek on her shoulder, he held her close. He placed one hand gently on her stomach, feeling the rise and fall of her breath, a gesture meant to comfort and ground her. With his other hand, he gently tilted her chin, encouraging her to meet his gaze. As their eyes met, he tenderly wiped away the tears that glistened on her cheeks, his touch gentle and soothing. Vaidehi leaned into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his presence and the comfort of his touch.

Viyansh: "Biwi tumhe bhi pata hai na mujhe nahi pasand tumhari aakhon me aasu phir kyu roti ho tum??"

(You know I don't like to see tears in your eyes, so why do you cry?)

Vaidehi: "Main kya karu mujhe Rona aa jaata hai."

(What can I do? I just feel like crying.)

Viyansh's playful gesture of nibbling Vaidehi's puffy cheeks elicited a surprised giggle from her.

Viyansh: "Okay, I'm sorry maine tumhe call nahi kiye aur calls nahi uthaye because mujhe yaha aake surprise Dena tha na bachcha."

(Okay, I'm sorry I didn't call you and didn't answer your calls because I wanted to come here and surprise you.)

Vaidehi: "Aur roka kyu nahi?"

(And why didn't you stop me?)

Viyansh: "Kyuki as long as I want you all the time, even they are your family your parents and dadu should also get your time right?? "

(Because as much as I want you all the time, they are your family too. Your parents and Grandpa should also get your time, right?)

As Viyansh continued to hold Vaidehi close, he gently began rocking them back and forth, creating a soothing rhythm that enveloped them both in a comforting embrace.

Vaidehi: "but mujhe toh har waqt aap hi chahiye na Ansh, and you know the reason."

(But I need you all the time, Ansh, and you know the reason.)

Viyansh: "Isiliye toh aa gaya na main jaan, aur kuch dino ki hi baat hai."

(That's why I came here, dear. And it's just a matter of a few days.)

Vaidehi: "Hmmm"

Viyansh, sensing that Vaidehi is still not convinced and needing to divert her thoughts, likely attempted to engage her in conversation.

Viyansh: "Achcha batao kya kya kiya yaha aake."

(Alright, tell me what you did after coming here.)

Vaidehi: "Nothing much. Mumma and Papa welcomed me, then we had some quality time talking about my childhood. They made my favorite dishes, but I couldn't eat much. Then I spent some time with Grandpa. All four of us watched our wedding video, had dinner, and I came back to my room And all day our baby and I were just missing you bahaut bahaut bahaut saara."

(And all day, baby and I just missed you a lot, a lot, a lot.")

As Vaidehi leaned more fully against Viyansh's chest, seeking comfort and solace in his embrace, he adjusted himself against the headboard of the bed. With a gentle sigh, he nestled deeper into the support, allowing Vaidehi to find a comfortable position where she could rest against him. His arms instinctively wrapped around her, holding her close as they both found a position that felt secure and intimate. Vaidehi's head resting on his chest, she could hear the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, a soothing cadence that brought a sense of peace.

Viyansh: "I missed you too meri jaan and little jaan."

Viyansh, feeling the warmth and closeness of their moment together, expressed his affection for Vaidehi by gently kissing her cheeks. His lips brushed against her skin softly, leaving a tender imprint of his love. Simultaneously, his hand moved to caress her stomach, a gesture filled with both care for her and anticipation for the life growing within her. His touch was gentle yet firm, conveying his protective instincts and deep connection to their unborn child.

Viyansh: "Par ye batao dinner thik se kiya??"

(But tell me, did you have dinner properly?)

Vaidehi: "Haa thoda sa."

(Yes, a little.)

Viyansh: "I knew it. Chalo ab side me baitho."

(I knew it. Come, sit down beside me.)

Vaidehi: "Areh kyu, Mujhe yahi baithna hai aapki bahon me."

(Why? I want to sit here in your arms.)

Viyansh: "Haan Jaan bas 1 minute please."

(Yes, dear, just one minute, please)

Vaidehi initially pouted, but then shifted slightly as Viyansh took out a bag he had brought along. As Viyansh took out the tiffin and a box of ice cream from the bag, Vaidehi's eyes lit up with excitement. She shifted eagerly, sitting up on her knees with anticipation, her previous pout melting away into a bright smile. Seeing her reaction, Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle softly, delighted by her enthusiasm. He set the tiffin and ice cream on the side table, then turned to her with a playful glint in his eyes.

Vaidehi: "Kya laye hai Ansh?"

(What did you bring, Ansh?)

Viyansh: "Dinner toh thik se kiya nahi hoga tumne, so ye vegetable Maggie."

(You didn't have dinner properly, so I brought vegetable Maggie.)

Vaidehi: "Ansh, I love you."

As Vaidehi leaned in and planted a sweet kiss on Viyansh's cheek, he couldn't help but chuckle softly in response.

Viyansh: "I too love you Jaan."

Vaidehi settled comfortably on Viyansh's lap, feeling safe and loved in his embrace. He smiled warmly at her, his eyes reflecting his adoration as he offered her the first bite of the meal he had prepared. Vaidehi accepted the spoon with a soft smile, savoring the flavors that he knew she loved. After savoring the maggie, Vaidehi took the spoon and playfully scooped another bite, offering it back to Viyansh,

Viyansh: "Arehh jaana, ye tumhare liye hai."

(Oh dear, this is for you.)

Vaidehi: "Maine toh dinner thik se nahi kiya hoga na Ansh, par aapne Kiya hi nahi hoga for sure. "

(I may not have had dinner properly, Ansh, but you definitely didn't have dinner at all.)

Viyansh gave a sheepish smile in response to Vaidehi chuckled.

Vaidehi: "Chaliye ab khaiye."

(Come on, now eat.)

Viyansh and Vaidehi continued their playful and affectionate exchange, feeding each other bites of dinner and sharing laughter in the quiet intimacy of their night together. After the last bite was taken and their dinner concluded.

Vaidehi: "Ab dessert me kya hai??"

(What’s for dessert?)

Viyansh chuckled.

Viyansh: "Jaana, ye achcha hua hai pregnant hoke tumhari bhookh badh gayi. I'll make sure tum humesha pregnant raho."

(Dear, it's good that your appetite has increased during pregnancy. I'll make sure you stay pregnant forever.)

Vaidehi's widened eyes and blushing cheeks revealed her delightful surprise and perhaps a hint of shyness. She instinctively covered her face with her palm, trying to hide her reaction while still sitting comfortably on Viyansh's lap.

Vaidehi: "Annshhh, kya bol rahe hai."

(Anshhh, what are you saying?)

Viyansh chuckled softly at Vaidehi's bashful gesture of hiding her blushing face in her palm. Gently but playfully, he reached out and gently tugged her hand away, revealing her flushed cheeks and shy smile. Without hesitation, Viyansh leaned forward and lightly nibbled on Vaidehi's cheek, eliciting a surprised gasp and a giggle from her.

Viyansh: "God Bachcha tum kitni cute ho yaar. Man kar raha hai abhi kha jau tumhe."

(God, sweetheart, you are so cute. I feel like eating you up right now.)

Vaidehi couldn't contain her blush as Viyansh playfully nibbled on her cheek. Feeling a mix of embarrassment and delight, she gently swatted his chest with a playful pout, her eyes sparkling with mirth and affection.

Vaidehi: "Dessert khilaiye jaldi."

(Feed me dessert quickly)

As Viyansh giggled, he opened the box of ice cream and began feeding Vaidehi spoonfuls of the sweet treat. She sat comfortably between his legs, her head resting against his chest, enjoying the intimacy and warmth of their closeness. Vaidehi absentmindedly played with her own hair as Viyansh fed her, savoring each bite with a contented smile.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, aapne kya Kiya full day??"

(Ansh, what did you do all day?)

Viyansh: "Main bas ideas soch raha tha ki kaise apni jaan se jaake milu."

(I was just thinking of ways to come and meet you, my love.)

Viyansh smiled affectionately as Vaidehi giggled and playfully pulled his cheeks.

Vaidehi: "Achcha, toh kya kya idea aaye aapko."

(Oh, so what ideas did you come up with?)

Viyansh: "Kuch khaas bahana nahi mila, then finally tumhare watchman ko 20000 rps se bribe karke ye window se aaya."

(I didn't find any good excuse, so finally, I bribed your watchman with 20,000 rupees and came through the window.)

Vaidehi's sudden change in demeanor, widening her eyes and stopping Viyansh from feeding her the next bite of ice cream, caught his attention. He paused, the spoon hovering between them, his gaze fixed on her with curiosity.

Vaidehi: "Aapne watchman ko 20000 diye sirf yaha aane ke liye."

(You gave the watchman 20,000 rupees just to come here?)

Viyansh: "Haan, Maine toh 10000 offer kiya par vo 20000 me maana."

(Yes, I offered 10,000, but he agreed for 20,000.)

Viyansh watched as Vaidehi lightly tapped her own head, a gesture that caught his attention.

Vaidehi: "Offo Ansh, us watchman ki itni himmat ki usne mere pati ko loota, usko toh main batati hu."

(Oh, Ansh, how dare that watchman extort my husband? I'll deal with him.)

As Vaidehi stood up, Viyansh acted swiftly, gently setting the ice cream aside and pulling her back onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist, drawing her close to him, and nuzzled his face against her neck.

Viyansh: "Use baadme batana, pehle ye jo tumhara pati tumse aur apne baby se milne aaya hai uspe dhyaan dedo."

(Deal with him later. First, pay attention to your husband who came to meet you and our baby.)

Vaidehi's smile widened as she gently stroked Viyansh's hair, enjoying the softness beneath her fingers. Viyansh, resting his head against her chest near her neck, closed his eyes and breathed in her comforting fragrance, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. Her soft touch and the scent of her hair filled Viyansh with a sense of peace and contentment. He closed his eyes briefly, cherishing the feeling of being held in her arms, his heart swelling with love for her.

Viyansh: "BTW jaan, mujhe nahi pata tha tum chor bhi ho."

(By the way, dear, I didn't know you were a thief too.)

Vaidehi: "Hainn?? Maine kya Kiya Ansh?"

(Huh? What did I do, Ansh?)

Viyansh: "Ye jo shirt tumne pehen rakhi hai, main subah se dundh ke pareshan hu."

(The shirt you're wearing, I've been searching for it all morning.)

Vaidehi's giggle was filled with warmth and playfulness as she shifted beside Viyansh on the bed. She leaned in, planting a sweet kiss on his cheek, her affectionate gesture expressing her fondness for him. After kissing his cheek, she held onto his biceps, resting her head on his shoulders. Viyansh smiled softly at her loving actions, feeling a rush of happiness and love for Vaidehi. He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him, cherishing the closeness they shared.

Vaidehi: "Main aapke bina kaise soti isiliye aapki shirts le aayi, isme aapki khushboo hai na"

(How could I sleep without you, so I brought your shirts with me. They have your scent.)

Viyansh's gentle hands encircled Vaidehi's shoulders, his touch tender as he began to play with her hair.

Viyansh: "Aren't you getting too obsessed with me, Bachcha?"

Vaidehi: "Is there any issue with that, baby ke papa??"

Viyansh: "Not at all, baby ki mumma. "

Both Viyansh and Vaidehi looked at each other and shared a giggle.

Viyansh: "Chalo ab mujhe Little Jaan se baat karne do."

(Come on, let me talk to Little One now.)

Vaidehi reclined gently onto the bed, a soft smile playing on her lips as she relaxed into the comfort of their shared space. Viyansh, deeply moved by the moment, gently placed his hand on Vaidehi's stomach. His touch was tender, reverent almost, as he leaned in to press a soft kiss against her abdomen.

Viyansh: "Hello baby, papa aa gaye aapke pass. Aapne aur mumma ne ek dusre ka khayal toh rakha tha na?? Papa ki absence me."

(Hello baby, Dad is here with you. Did you and Mumma take care of each other in Papa's absence?)

Viyansh tenderly caressed Vaidehi's stomach, eliciting a smile from her.

Viyansh: "Aur mumma ne aapko papa ke baare me kuch galat shalat toh nahi bataya na??"

(And Mumma didn't tell you anything wrong about Papa, did she?)

Vaidehi frowned and playfully hit Viyansh on the back.

Vaidehi: "aap aisa sochte hai mere baare me??"

(Is that what you think of me?)

Viyansh looked at Vaidehi and then rubbed the spot where she had playfully hit him.

Viyansh: "Jaan yaar tum bahaut voilent ho gayi ho, jab dekho meri pitai karne lagi ho??"

(Dear, you have become very violent lately. You're always ready to hit me.)

Vaidehi: "harkatein dekhi hai aapne apni ab ispe pitai nahi karu toh aur kya karu romance?"

(Have you seen your behavior? If I don't hit you, should I romance you instead?)

Viyansh: "Haa please romance Karo na biwi."

(Yes, please romance me, dear.)

Vaidehi: "Jaise aap kahe Pati parmeshwar."

(As you say, my husband.)

Vaidehi's push caught Viyansh off guard, causing him to land on his back on the bed with a surprised chuckle. Before he could react, Vaidehi leaned over him, her hands resting lightly on his chest as his arms instinctively encircled her waist.

Viyansh: "Jaaannn"

Vaidehi: "Yes Annnnshh"

Vaidehi's voice, low and seductive, carried a promise of intimacy as she traced her finger delicately along Viyansh's face. Her touch was gentle yet purposeful, igniting a trail of anticipation in its wake. With a soft, lingering kiss on his cheek, she conveyed affection before slowly trailing kisses down from his cheek, along his jawline, and onto his neck. Each kiss spoke of her desire and affection, leaving a tingling warmth in its path.

Viyansh: "Kya kar rahi hai aap??"

(What are you doing?)

Vaidehi: "Vahi Jo aapne kaha Swami."

(Exactly what you said, my lord.)

Viyansh just smiled at Vaidehi's words, a warmth spreading through his chest. He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, pulling her closer. Their bodies pressed together, he leaned in, his lips finding the sensitive skin of her neck. He kissed and sucked gently, each touch eliciting soft moans from her lips. Vaidehi mirrored his actions, her lips exploring his neck kissing and sucking, their shared moans filling the room with a symphony of their desire.

Both of them were completely lost in each other, their breaths mingling, hearts pounding in unison. The anticipation built as their lips drew nearer, the world around them fading away. Just as they were about to connect in a passionate kiss, a sudden knock on the door shattered the moment. They both froze, eyes wide, the spell broken.

Vaidehi's face flushed with frustration as she dropped her head onto Viyansh's chest, letting out an annoyed sigh. Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction, finding her frustration endearing. He rubbed her back soothingly, his touch a gentle reassurance. They heard another knock, this one more insistent, pulling them fully back to reality. Vaidehi looked up at Viyansh, a mixture of longing and irritation in her eyes.
