Chapter 62: "Hearts Entwined"

Whispers of RomanceWords: 37933

Vaidehi sat at one end of the dining table, her expression one of playful defiance. She crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head, her lips pressed together in a determined pout. Across from her, Sangeeta held a glass of milk, her face a mixture of patience and gentle persuasion.

Sangeeta: "Beta, it's good for you and the baby."

Vaidehi sighed dramatically, rolling her eyes as she looked at the glass in her mother's hand.

Vaidehi: "But Mumma, I don't like it. You know even Ansh doesn't like milk, which means the baby hates it too."

Her tone slightly whiny but affectionate.

Sangeeta's expression turned stern as she gave Vaidehi a pointed glare, clearly unimpressed with her daughter's explanation for not drinking the milk. Vaidehi, sensing her mother's growing impatience, quickly looked around for an escape route. Just then, she noticed her father, Abhinav, walking towards them. Seizing the opportunity, Vaidehi darted from her seat and swiftly positioned herself behind him, using him as a shield against Sangeeta's determined gaze.

VAidehi: "Papa, save me,"

Vaidehi whispered, peeking over Abhinav's shoulder with a playful yet pleading look. Abhinav, catching on to the situation, raised an eyebrow and looked at both his wife and daughter with amusement.

Abhinav: "Arehh ye kya kar rahi hai beta?"

(Hey, what are you doing, Child?)

Vaidehi: "Papa dekho na Mumma zabardasti dudh pila Rahi hai."

(Dad, see, Mumma is forcing me to drink milk.)

Abhinav chuckled softly, shaking his head in amusement. Watching Vaidehi's playful antics and her endearing stubbornness reminded him of how she was still very much a child at heart, despite the fact that she was about to become a mother herself in just a few months. The thought filled him with a mix of nostalgia and pride.

Abhinav: "But it's good for you and the baby, right Beta?"

Vaidehi glared at Abhinav for his teasing remark and then at Sangeeta for her insistence. Feeling cornered, she let out a huff and dramatically stomped over to a nearby chair. She plopped down with an exaggerated sigh, crossing her arms over her chest in a show of defiance.

Vaidehi: "Aap dono ko meri Sunni nahi hai toh mujhe yaha kyu laaye??"

(If neither of you is going to listen to me, then why did you bring me here?)

Both Abhinav and Sangeeta smiled warmly at Vaidehi, their expressions filled with love and reassurance. They moved to sit beside her, creating a cozy and supportive circle around her. Abhinav gently caressed her head, his touch soothing and comforting.

Abhinav: "Achcha bata dudh nahi toh kya khana hai??"

(Okay, tell me, if not milk, what do you want to eat?)

Abhinav asked softly, his voice filled with concern. Vaidehi smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort from her parents' words. She then turned fully to face Abhinav, her eyes reflecting the depth of her gratitude and affection.

Vaidehi: "Waffles."

Sangeeta: "Bilkul nahi."

(Absolutely not.)

Vaidehi: "Mumma yaar."

Abhinav: "Areh, Kyu mana kar rahi ho use?"

(Why are you denying her?)

Sangeeta: "Kyuki she always eats such unhealthy food."

(Because she always eats unhealthy food.)

Vaidehi: "Ab ye galat news kisne de di aapko mumma??"

(Who gave you this wrong information, Mumma?)

Sangeeta: "Aapke Ansh ne betu ji."

(Your Ansh, dear.)

Vaidehi playfully smacked her own forehead with her hand, then gently pulled Sangeeta's cheeks.

Vaidehi: "Areh meri bholi mumma, Ansh toh kuch bhi kehte hai unki baaton pe dhyaan mat Diya Karo."

(Oh, my innocent Mumma, Ansh says all sorts of things. Don't pay attention to him.)

Vikram: "Batau main ye baat Viyansh ko???"

(Should I tell Viyansh about this?)

Vikram came up from behind, and Vaidehi happily stood up to give him a side hug.

Vaidehi: "Popsy, aap mujhe fasane ka kaam karenge kya???"

(Popsy, will you get me into trouble?)

Vikram chuckled warmly as he playfully ruffled Vaidehi's hair. Sangeeta and Abhinav warmly welcomed him and invited him to join them for breakfast. Soon, everyone settled into their chairs around the table, ready to enjoy the meal together.

Vaidehi: "What's in that packet, Popsy?"

Vikram: "Ohh this, ye le tere waffles."

(Here, your waffles.)

Vaidehi's face lit up with a grin as she eagerly accepted the packet. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she reached out to take it from Vikram.

Sangeeta: "Arehh, Vikram bhaisaab ye kya le aaye aap, ab Viyansh pakka gussa karega."

(Oh my, Vikram Brother, why did you bring these? Now Viyansh will surely get upset.)

Vikram: "He knows his wife very well bhabhi, subah jaldi uth ke khud bana ke office gaya hai."

(He knows his wife very well, Bhabhi. He woke up early and made them himself before going to the office.)

Vaidehi heard that and smiled, feeling an overwhelming surge of happiness, luck, and love. Her heart was light, and her spirits soared. In that moment, all she wanted was to run into Viyansh's arms and embrace him tightly, to feel his warmth and the reassurance of his presence. However, she knew he was busy, and she didn't want to interrupt him. Despite her best efforts to hide it, the longing she felt for him was evident in her eyes and in the soft, wistful curve of her smile. The lively conversation around her served as a distraction, and soon enough, Viraj and Virat joined them. The group enjoyed a leisurely lunch together, filled with laughter, anecdotes, and the comforting hum of camaraderie. After lunch, Vikram, Viraj, and Virat bid their farewells.  Sangeeta noticed the fatigue on Vaidehi's face and gently suggested she take some rest. Vaidehi nodded, grateful for the reprieve. She lay down, allowing herself to relax and drift into a light slumber.

As evening approached, Abhinav approached her with an unexpected request. Abhinav urged Vaidehi to get ready and pack her bags, mentioning they needed to visit someone special. Curious, she asked whom they were visiting, but they playfully insisted it was a surprise. Vaidehi complied. She packed her bag and chose a summer-long maxi dress, paired with a denim jacket and sneakers. She tied her hair into a ponytail, feeling both comfortable and stylish. When she looked in the mirror, she couldn't help but smile at her reflection; she looked cute and pretty. They got into the car, and as the journey began, Vaidehi's thoughts drifted to her husband. She missed him dearly, and her mind was filled with memories of their time together. The rhythmic motion of the car and the hum of the engine lulled her into a contemplative state, making her unaware of the passing scenery. It wasn't until Sangeeta placed a hand on her shoulder that Vaidehi snapped out of her reverie. She turned to look at Sangeeta, who smiled warmly at her.

Vaidehi: "Yes mumma?"

Sangeeta signaled with her eyes for Vaidehi to look out the window. Vaidehi turned, and her heart raced as she saw they were in front of the magnificent Singhania mansion. Her face lit up with pure joy, a radiant smile spreading across her lips. Without thinking, she turned and wrapped her arms around her mother, hugging her tightly overwhelmed with happiness and the excitement of the unexpected surprise.

Abhinav: "Chale ab??"

(Shall we go now?)

Vaidehi nodded happily, her excitement bubbling over as they exited the car. They walked up to the grand entrance of the Singhania mansion, and with a deep breath, she rang the doorbell, her heart racing at the thought of being home again. The door swung open, and a maid appeared, her face lighting up with a warm smile at the sight of her beloved madam.

Vaidehi: "Kaki sab Ghar pe hai??"

(Kaki, is everyone home?)

Maid: "Bade Saab, Viraj beta aur Virat beta hai baaki Viyansh Saab toh nahi hai."

(Big Sir, Viraj Sir, and Virat sir are here, but Viyansh Sir is not.)

Vaidehi quickly stepped inside and her eyes instantly fell on Vikram, who was sitting comfortably in the living room.

Vaidehi: "Popsyyyyy"

Vaidehi couldn’t contain her excitement and shouted. His head snapped up, and a broad smile instantly appeared on his face, lighting up the room. Seeing her joy, he couldn’t help but return her enthusiasm.

Vikram: "Ladooo."

Vaidehi rushed over and hugged Vikram tightly, feeling a rush of warmth and love. Just then, Virat and Viraj came down the stairs, drawn by the sound of her voice. Upon seeing her, both brothers quickly enveloped her in bone-crushing hugs, lifting her off the ground with their enthusiasm.  After a moment, they pulled back, grinning from ear to ear. Vaidehi felt surrounded by love and joy, grateful to be back with her family once again.

Viraj: "Bhabhi maa aap vapas aa gaye."

(Bhabhi Maa, you're back!)

Vaidehi nodded.

Abhinav: "Ab khush hai na beta??"

(Are you happy now, beta?)

Vaidehi looked over at Abhinav, her heart swelling with gratitude for bringing her home. Without hesitation, she rushed to him and wrapped her arms around him in a warm hug.

Vaidehi: "Thank you papa."

Abhinav reciprocated her hug, wrapping his arms around her tightly, and then gently kissed the top of her head.

Vikram: "Abhinav ye sab?"

(Abhinav, what's all this?)

Abhinav: "Ab bhai hum apni beti ko le gaye the thoda uske sath waqt bitane."

(Brother, we took our daughter to spend some time with her.)

Sangeeta: "Aur vaha toh breakfast pe Bhai sahab aap, Lunch pe aapke ye dono bete aur dinner ke baad humare damad ji aa jate the, toh hume ise vapas laana hi pada."

(And there, for breakfast, it was you, Brother. For lunch, it was your two sons, and after dinner, our son-in-law would come. So we had to bring her back.)

Viraj, Virat, and Vikram all exchanged glances, suddenly feeling a bit embarrassed. Meanwhile, Vaidehi was in shock, her eyes wide as she processed her mother's words.

Vaidehi: "Mumma, how did you know that Ansh..."

Sangeeta: "Beta ji ab humare ghar ke watchman ko Roz koi bribe karega aur hume pata bhi nahi chalega kya??"

(Dear, if someone bribes the watchman of our house every day, and we don't find out, is that even possible?)

They all giggled at her, and Vaidehi felt a wave of shyness wash over her, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

Abhinav: "Relax, hum aate rahenge tujhse milne."

(Relax, we will keep visiting you.)

Sangeeta: "we know pregnancy me sabse zyada Zarurat sirf pati ki hoti hai."

(We know that during pregnancy, the most needed person is the husband.)

Vaidehi wrapped her arms around her parents, holding them close for a moment filled with love and gratitude. She felt incredibly lucky to have them by her side. After exchanging warm wishes and heartfelt smiles, they eventually pulled back, knowing it was time for them to leave and they left.

Vikram: "Ladoo, thak gayi hogi na beta ja araam kar le, Viyansh bhi aata hi hoga."

(Ladoo, you must be tired. Go and rest; Viyansh will be home soon.)

Viraj: "Haa bhai ko pata chalega toh bahaut khush honge."

(Yes, Bhai will be very happy to know you’re back.)

Vaidehi: "Nahii, Ansh ko mat batana."

(No, don’t tell Ansh.)

Virat: "Kyu bhabhi maa??"

(Why, Sister in law?)

Vaidehi: "Hum Surprise denge unhe."

(We will give him a surprise.)

They all agreed with her, and Vaidehi headed to her room. As soon as she stepped inside, a familiar and beloved fragrance enveloped her senses—it was his scent. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, a smile spreading across her face as memories flooded back. Suddenly, an idea sparked in her mind. Feeling a rush of warmth and excitement, she sat on the bed and placed her hand gently on her stomach.

Vaidehi: "Baby, see papa aapka aur mumma ka kitna khayal rakhte hai. Toh ab na hum papa ko surprise denge aur kal date pe jayenge. Sirf aap, mumma aur papa."

(Baby, see how well Papa takes care of you and Mumma. So now, we will give Papa a surprise and go on a date tomorrow. Just you, Mumma, and Papa.)

She grinned at her own idea, feeling a surge of excitement, and quickly grabbed her phone to arrange everything for their special date. After an hour of planning and organizing, she felt ready. With a smile still on her face, she headed to the closet to change into something light.

Viyansh entered the room, looking completely exhausted from his back-to-back meetings. The weight of his responsibilities pressed heavily on him as he tried to complete major projects as quickly as possible, all so he could spend quality time with his wife and baby. With a deep sigh of relief, he loosened his tie and sank into the couch. Resting his head against the headrest, he closed his eyes, seeking a brief respite from the day's demands. The room was quiet, save for the soft sound of his steady breathing as he momentarily surrendered to the need for rest before reemerging to face the world anew.

Vaidehi, seeing Viyansh enter the room, quietly approached him from behind. She gently rested her hands on his forehead and began to massage it softly. The familiar touch brought a wave of relaxation, and Viyansh quickly opened his eyes, surprised yet comforted. As he looked up, he met Vaidehi's gaze, her face adorned with an affectionate and adorable smile. His exhaustion melted away when he saw her cute smile. The moment Viyansh saw her smile, he couldn’t contain his joy. He jumped up from the couch, scooped her into his arms, and started spinning her around. Vaidehi burst into giggles, burying her face in his neck as they twirled. After a few moments of laughter and exhilaration, she gently patted his shoulder, signaling him to slow down.

Vaidehi: "Annshhh, chakkar aa rahe hai, utariye mujhe."

(Anshhh, I'm feeling dizzy. Put me down.)

Viyansh tenderly stopped spinning and settled onto the couch, with Vaidehi comfortably on his lap sensing she might be feeling a bit dizzy from all the excitement. He wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back soothingly while stroking her hair with tender care. Vaidehi leaned into him, feeling safe and cherished, the fatigue of the day fading away in the warmth of their embrace.

Viyansh: "Sorry bachcha, main tumhe dekh kar excited ho gaya."

(Sorry, sweetheart, I got excited seeing you.)

Vaidehi: "Koi baat nahi Ansh, I'm fine."

(It's okay, Ansh. I'm fine.")

She responded with a smile.

Viyansh: "Pakka na?"

(Are you sure?)

Vaidehi: "Ji Ansh."

(Yes, Ansh.)

He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. Viyansh enveloped her in his arms once more, drawing her close and gently guiding her to hide her face against his neck. The warmth of his embrace and the soft touch of his fingers through her hair conveyed a deep sense of love and protection.

Viyansh: "Tum yaha kaise??"

(How did you get here?)

Vaidehi: "Breakfast pe Popsy ghar aa jate the, lunch pe Viraj aur Virat aur aapne jo watchman ko bribe kiya tha vo bhi pata hai mumma papa ko. Toh vo mujhe yaha chodne aa gaye."

(Popsy would come home for breakfast, Viraj and Virat for lunch, and Mumma and Papa know about the bribe you gave the watchman. So they brought me here.)

Viyansh couldn't help but giggle at the playful antics of his family, and Vaidehi, catching his infectious laughter, joined in merrily.

Vaidehi: "Aapki meeting kaisi thi??"

(How was your meeting?)

Viyansh: "Achchi thi, but really tiring."

(It was good, but really tiring.)

Vaidehi: "Koi baat nahi, main hu thik karne ke liye."

(No worries, I'm here to make it better.)

Viyansh: "Tumhe dekhte hi saari thakaan chali gayi."

(Seeing you takes all the tiredness away.)

He said, nibbling her cheeks.

Vaidehi: "Ansh?"

Viyansh: "Hmm"

He nuzzled his face into her neck, inhaling her comforting fragrance, feeling completely at home in her presence. Vaidehi gently stroked his hair, her fingers running through the strands with tenderness.

Vaidehi: "Aap free hai kal?"

(Are you free tomorrow?)

Viyansh: "Tumhare liye toh humesha free hu, Bachcha."

(I’m always free for you, baby.)

Vaidehi: "Toh kal ka pura din mere sath bitayenge??"

(Will you spend the whole day with me tomorrow?)

Viyansh: "Puri raat bhi."

(The whole night too.)

Vaidehi: "Annnshh."

Viyansh chuckled softly as she playfully whined.

Viyansh: "Okay okay, jaisa aap kahe meri jaan."

(Okay, okay, as you say, my love.)

Then they had dinner with the family, everyone cheerful and animated, celebrating Vaidehi’s return. Laughter and love filled the air as they shared stories and enjoyed each other’s company. Finally, exhausted from the day’s events, Viyansh and Vaidehi cuddled together on the bed, wrapped in each other’s arms. As they drifted off to sleep, a sense of peace washed over them.

The next morning, Vaidehi dressed in a chic white jumpsuit with sneakers, her ponytail tied high, exuding a fresh and stylish look. She suggested a coordinated outfit for Viyansh, a white full-sleeved t-shirt paired with a pastel blue shirt, its buttons open and sleeves casually rolled up to the elbows, complemented by blue denim jeans. After enjoying a hearty breakfast together, they set off for the day out that Vaidehi had meticulously planned. Viyansh was driving, and Vaidehi sat beside him, curating the perfect playlist, filling the car with upbeat tunes that matched their excitement.

Viyansh: "Jaan, mujhe batao toh kya plan hai tumhara?"

(Love, tell me, what's your plan?)

Vaidehi: "Ansh, maine bataya toh hum abhi movie dekhne ja rahe hai."

(Ansh, I told you, we are going to watch a movie now.)

Viyansh: "Ha aur uske baad??"

(And after that?)

Vaidehi: "Uske baad jo jo main aur baby bolenge vo, aur ab aap chup chaap drive kijiye."

(After that, whatever the baby and I say. Now, you drive quietly.)

Viyansh smiled fondly at Vaidehi's enthusiasm and shook his head playfully as they arrived at the mall. Making their way to the top floor, they settled in for a romantic movie together. Vaidehi gently held onto Viyansh's arm, leaning her head against his shoulder while he lovingly rested his head on hers. His hand tenderly caressed hers as it rested on his bicep, both of them immersed in the storyline unfolding on screen. After the movie ended, they stepped out of the theater, Vaidehi still holding onto Viyansh's arm as they leisurely strolled towards the elevator.

Viyansh: "You and your obsession with romantic movies."

Vaidehi: "I'm obsessed with romance as well. Karke dikhau aapko?"

(Want me to show you?)

Viyansh chuckled softly and playfully flicked Vaidehi's nose, teasing her affectionately as they continued their leisurely walk towards the elevator.

Viyansh: "Such a flirt you are, Biwi."

Vaidehi: "And you still love me."

She grinned with affectionate warmth as Viyansh leaned in and gently kissed her forehead.

Viyansh: "Yes, I do."

Soon, they reached another floor dedicated to shopping. Vaidehi excitedly dragged Viyansh to the men’s section, her eyes sparkling with determination as she began searching for some stylish shirts for him. She picked up various colors and patterns, holding them up against him.

Viyansh: "Jaan, I have a lot of shirts phir ye kyu??"

(Love, I have a lot of shirts, so why these?)

Vaidehi: "Because aapki shirts toh main pehenti hu na."

(Because I wear your shirts.)

Viyansh: "Vahi toh chor."

(Exactly, thief.)

She giggled as she sorted through the shirts, and Viyansh smiled, loving her infectious energy. After selecting 10 to 12 stylish options, she turned to him with a grin, handing over the shirts with a playful request for him to try them on and show her how they looked.

Viyansh: "Jaan sab achche hai tumne select kiye hai na, le lete hai."

(Love, all of these are good. You selected them, right? Let's take them.)

Vaidehi: "No Ansh, aap mujhe try karke dikhao na please."

(No, Ansh, you need to try them on for me, please.)

Vaidehi couldn't resist making a playful puppy face, which instantly melted Viyansh's heart. Amused and captivated by her antics, Viyansh good-naturedly agreed to indulge her by trying on the shirts she had picked out.For the next hour, he playfully modeled each shirt, turning it into a mini fashion show for Vaidehi's enjoyment. She carefully selected a few shirts and t-shirts that she liked best on him, making the shopping experience a delightful exchange of affection and shared laughter. Afterwards, Viyansh, feeling inspired by the fun they were having, decided to take Vaidehi to the women's section. There, he took the initiative to pick out a few dresses for her, choosing ones that he thought would complement her style and personality.

Viyansh: "Chalo, Jaan. Now it's your turn, go and try them on."

Vaidehi: "No, Ansh, I'm tired. I won't try them on."

Viyansh: "Arehh kyuu?? Mujhse toh har shirt try karvayi tumne."

(Why not? You made me try on every shirt.)

Vaidehi: "Ansh, main pregnant hu."

(Ansh, I'm pregnant.)

Viyansh: "Janta hu subah se 10 baar bol chuki ho."

(I know, you've said it ten times since morning.)

Vaidehi: "Ha toh main thak jaungi na Ansh, mujhe nahi karna try, and hungry as well."

(Yes, so I get tired, Ansh. I don't want to try them on, and I'm hungry too.)

Finally, Viyansh gave up, laughing as they decided to buy all the dresses he had selected. With the payment done, they leisurely made their way towards the food court, planning to grab a bite to eat. However, as they walked, Vaidehi's eyes lit up when she spotted a kids' wear shop. She suddenly stopped in her tracks, her excitement palpable. She tucked the hem of Viyansh's shirt, urging him to take a closer look. He turned to her, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

Viyansh: "Yes Bachcha??"

(Yes, sweetheart?)

Vaidehi: "Ansh voo"

(Ansh that..)

Vaidehi pointed excitedly towards the kids' wear shop, her enthusiasm evident as she directed Viyansh's attention to it. Viyansh followed her gesture, smiling warmly as he saw her interest in exploring the shop.

Viyansh: "Jaan Abhi?? Abhi toh bahaut waqt hai."

(Love, now? There's still a lot of time.)

Vaidehi: "Please, Ansh, pretty please."

Viyansh chuckled affectionately at Vaidehi's excitement and nodded in agreement. Together, they entered the kids' wear store, greeted by rows of adorable baby clothes in various colors and styles. They began to browse through the tiny garments, their hearts undoubtedly filled with warmth and anticipation as they imagined the future and the joy that children would bring into their lives.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, ye sab kitne cute hai. Baby pe kitna achcha lagega na."

(Ansh, these are so cute. They will look so good on the baby.)

Viyansh: "Yes, Jaan. My little Jaan will look like a princess."

Vaidehi: "You and your obsession with having a girl."

Viyansh: "Because it's a girl, I know. After all, I did all the hard work, you know."

Vaidehi's face turned red, and her eyes widened in surprise. Viyansh noticed her reaction and smirked, thoroughly entertained by her enthusiasm. He loved seeing her so animated and couldn’t resist teasing her a little. Vaidehi playfully slapped his chest, her cheeks even redder now.

Vaidehi: "Shameless."

Viyansh: "Only with you."

Viyansh winked playfully, and Vaidehi turned her attention back to selecting baby clothes, subtly easing her blush. He chuckled softly, enjoying their playful exchange as they browsed through the adorable outfits and toys for their future child. Together, they made selections that reflected their excitement and anticipation for the days ahead. After completing their shopping, they headed to the food court for a leisurely lunch, savoring their meal together and relishing the quiet moments amidst the hustle and bustle of the mall. With satisfied appetites, they decided to head home at Vaidehi's suggestion. Driving back, they returned to the comforting embrace of their family. Finally, after spending some quality time with the family, Viyansh and Vaidehi retreated to their room. Vaidehi quickly grew exhausted and fell asleep in no time, nestled comfortably in bed. Viyansh, sitting beside her, took out his laptop to catch up on work. With one hand busy typing, he gently stroked her hair with the other, knowing how much she loved that simple gesture. As he worked, he glanced at her peaceful face, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him.

In the soft evening light filtering through the windows, Vaidehi slowly woke up, her eyes adjusting as she rubbed them gently. As her gaze fell on the clock, she sighed in relief, realizing she wasn't late for their date. Feeling a bit groggy, she sat up in bed, resting her head against the headboard, still in a sleepy haze. Just then, Viyansh entered the room, carrying a tray with two cups of tea, a warm smile lighting up his face. He greeted Vaidehi warmly, placing the tray carefully on the tea table beside their couch.

Viyansh: "Good evening Biwi."

Vaidehi looked at Viyansh with a gentle smile.

Vaidehi: "Good evening Ansh."

Vaidehi rose from the bed and approached Viyansh with a soft smile. They settled together on the couch, enjoying the comfort of each other's presence.

Viyansh: "Did you have a good sleep?"

Vaidehi: "Yep."

Viyansh: "Take this."

Viyansh passed a cup of tea to Vaidehi, who accepted it gratefully and she took a sip.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, ye toh chai hai."

(Ansh, this is tea.)

Viyansh: "Haa"

(Yes)

Vaidehi: "Main coffee piti hu Ansh."

(I drink coffee, Ansh.)

Viyansh: "Pata hai, par doctor ne tumhe coffee mana kiya hai na bachcha."

(I know, but the doctor told you to avoid coffee, sweetheart.)

Vaidehi: "Mana nahi kiya hai Ansh, excess consumption mana kiya hai means I can have thoda sa coffee."

(He didn't say to avoid it completely, Ansh. He said to limit the consumption, which means I can have a little bit of coffee.)

Viyansh: "Noo, koi coffee nahi milegi tumhe."

(No, you won't get any coffee.)

She pouted and looked up at him with her adorable puppy eyes, her expression filled with playful innocence. Viyansh couldn't help but chuckle at her charm, feeling his heart melt even more.

Viyansh: "Ye sab paitre kaam nahi aayenge."

(These tricks won't work.)

Vaidehi: "Khadoos."

(Grumpy.)

Viyansh: Jitni tum careless ho uske liye mujhe khadoos hi Banna padega.

(With how careless you are, I have to be grumpy.)

Vaidehi: "Aap kya pi rahe hai??"

(What are you drinking?)

Vaidehi set down her own cup and took Viyansh's cup, playfully sipping from it and making exaggerated, comical faces.

Vaidehi: "Ansh aap coffee black pite hai samajh me aata hai, aap chai bhi black pi rahe hai."

(Ansh, I get that you drink black coffee, but now you're drinking black tea too?)

Viyansh chuckled as she took his cup, making funny faces after sipping from it. With a playful shake of his head, he quickly took his cup back and handed her hers.

Viyansh: "Ab coffee piunga toh tum zidd karogi isiliye chai, and black tea because ab sugar ki vajah se kahi mere abs chale gaye toh meri biwi mujhpe dhyaan nahi degi."

(If I drink coffee, you'll insist on having some, so tea it is. And black tea because if I lose my abs due to sugar, my wife won't pay attention to me.)

Vaidehi couldn't help but giggle at Viyansh's playful silly reasoning or logic.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, aap jab buddhe ho jayenge, aap taklu ho jayenge, aapke sare daath toot jayenge aur apka tummy bhi bahar hoga aap mote ho jayenge main tab bhi aapse bahaut pyaar karungi."

(Ansh, even when you're old, bald, toothless, and have a big belly, I'll still love you a lot.)

Viyansh playfully narrowed his eyes and glared at Vaidehi in jest, adding to their playful exchange.

Viyansh: "Jaan itna toh kuch hoga nahi jitna tumne abhi bata diya mujhe."

(Love, it's not going to be as bad as you just described.)

Vaidehi chuckled again, enjoying the playful banter with Viyansh as they spent their evening together over tea.

It was 7 in the evening when Viyansh stood on the balcony, deep in conversation on his phone. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over everything. Suddenly, Vaidehi quietly approached from behind and gently patted his shoulder. He turned to look at her, and a bright smile spread across his face as he saw her. She returned his smile with a sparkle in her eyes. Viyansh held up two fingers, signaling that he needed just two more minutes to finish his call. Vaidehi blinked in understanding and nodded, acknowledging his request with patience and affection.

Vaidehi gently took Viyansh's free hand and wrapped it around her shoulders, drawing herself close to him. She nestled her own arm around his torso, finding comfort in his embrace as she rested her head against his chest. Despite his ongoing call, Viyansh leaned in and kissed the top of her head affectionately, eliciting a smile from Vaidehi. After two minutes, Viyansh ended his call and tucked his phone away in his pocket. He then fully embraced Vaidehi in his arms, holding her close with both hands. Planting another tender kiss on her forehead, he looked into her eyes and asked softly.

Viyansh: "Hmm jaan ab bolo."

(Okay, love, tell me now.)

Vaidehi looked at Viyansh with excitement, placing her chin gently on his chest.

Vaidehi: "Aap mere sath date pe chalenge??"

(Will you go on a date with me?)

He got surprised and narrowed his eyebrows in confusion, trying to read her expression.

Viyansh: "Date?"

Vaidehi nodded eagerly.

Vaidehi: "Haa date pe, aap, main aur baby. "

(Yes, a date. You, me, and the baby.)

He smiled warmly, touched by how she had already started including their baby in everything they did. It filled him with joy to see her so invested in their future together. Leaning down, he kissed her forehead affectionately once more, his heart swelling with love and anticipation for the journey ahead.

Viyansh: "Okay, I'll take you both on a date."

Vaidehi: "Nooo."

Viyansh: "Areh kyu?? abhi toh kaha tumne date pe jaana hai."

(Why not? You just said you wanted to go on a date.)

Vaidehi: "Maine kaha nahi pucha hai aapse, aur main lekar chalungi aapko date pe. Everything is already done by me and baby, aap sirf chaliye mere sath Ansh."

(I didn't ask, I told you. And I'm taking you on a date. Everything is already planned by me and the baby, you just need to come with me, Ansh.)

Viyansh: "Achcha ji toh mumma aur baby ne pehle hi sak kar liya hai."

(So, Mumma and the baby have already made the plans.)

Vaidehi: "Hanji baby ke papa, ab aap chalenge bhi Ansh?"

(Yes, baby’s daddy. So, are you coming, Ansh?)

Viyansh chuckled affectionately at Vaidehi's excitement over their upcoming date, despite having already enjoyed numerous dates throughout their first year of marriage.

Viyansh: "Okay, I'll go and change."

Vaidehi: "Haa aiye mere sath main batati hu aap kya pehnenge."

(Yes, come with me. I'll tell you what to wear.)

Viyansh: "Well seems that mumma and baby ne har cheez pehle se hi ready rakhi hai."

(It seems Mumma and the baby have everything ready already.)

Vaidehi nodded happily, her smile widening in response to Viyansh's affectionate chuckle.

Vaidehi led Viyansh into their spacious walk-in closet, where she handed him a neatly arranged ensemble consisting of a white shirt, white pants, a beige blazer, and a brown belt. Viyansh took the outfit and headed to the washroom to change, while Vaidehi decided to change right there in the closet itself. For her own attire, Vaidehi selected a beautiful chiffon beige saree with a shimmering golden border. The saree perfectly complemented her choice of a full-sleeved golden blouse with intricate net detailing. As she draped the saree, she couldn't help but admire how perfectly it complemented Viyansh’s outfit, reflecting their plan to twinning for the evening. Vaidehi adorned herself with care and attention to detail, enhancing her elegant attire for the evening. She delicately adorned her right hand with a few delicate bangles, adding a subtle charm to her ensemble. On her left hand, she wore a golden-colored watch and a bracelet, balancing elegance with practicality. Her neck sparkled with her nuptial chain, a symbol of her commitment and love. To complement her outfit, Vaidehi added anklets to her ankles, their soft chimes adding a musical touch to her steps. She chose big earrings that Viyansh enjoyed playing with, knowing they added a beautiful element to her appearance that he appreciated. Keeping her hair open as Viyansh preferred, she let her locks cascade naturally, framing her face with a touch of effortless beauty. For her makeup, Vaidehi opted for a minimal look, enhancing her features with a touch of kohl to accentuate her eyes and a light red shade of lipstick that highlighted her natural beauty. She chose to forego blush, knowing that the affection and admiration of her husband were enough to bring a natural blush to her cheeks. Vaidehi retrieved a delicate, thin golden waist chain from her collection, a cherished gift from Viyansh who adored her waist and enjoyed adorning it with such intimate tokens of affection. As she secured the waist chain around her waist, she felt a surge of warmth and connection to Viyansh, appreciating his thoughtful gestures that always made her feel loved and cherished. Turning her attention to her hairline, Vaidehi noticed the faded vermillion and reached for her vermillion box to reapply it. However, just as she was about to apply it, two hands gently grasped hers, stopping her mid-motion. Startled but comforted by the familiar touch, Vaidehi looked up to see Viyansh standing beside her. Viyansh, with a tender smile on his face, held her hands gently, his eyes reflecting love and understanding.

Vaidehi smiled warmly and handed the vermillion box to Viyansh, inviting him to apply it to her hairline as they had often done together. Viyansh took the box from her and delicately applied the vermillion, a ritual that held deep meaning and intimacy for them both. As he finished, he leaned forward and kissed her forehead affectionately, solidifying their connection in a tender moment that had become a cherished routine. After returning the box, Vaidehi then took Viyansh's watch,  and began fastening it around his wrist. As she focused on securing the watch, she felt Viyansh's hand gently resting on her bare waist, his touch tracing random patterns. The sensation sent a shiver of delight through her, reaffirming the closeness and affection they shared.

Vaidehi: "Ansh, kya kar rahe hai taiyar ho jaiye."

(Ansh, what are you doing? Get ready.)

Viyansh: "Taiyar hone hi aaya tha, but tumhe dekhne ke baad kuch karne ka man nahi hai, kya hum date cancel kar sakte hai?? Main bas tumhe dekhna chahta hu."

(I came to get ready, but after seeing you, I don't feel like doing anything else. Can we cancel the date? I just want to look at you.)

Vaidehi smiled affectionately and wrapped her arms around Viyansh's neck, drawing him closer in a gentle embrace.

Vaidehi: "Aap bas mujhe dekhna chahte hai??"

(You just want to look at me?)

Viyansh nodded, holding Vaidehi securely by her waist as she stood on her tiptoes and Vaidehi surprised him by gently biting his cheek.

Vaidehi: "Koi date cancel nahi hogi, chaliye ready ho jaiye."

(No date will be canceled. Get ready.)

Viyansh: "Jaaaannn."

Viyansh widened his eyes in playful surprise at Vaidehi's unexpected bite on his cheek and she giggled.

Vaidehi: "Please Ansh."

Vaidehi asked with a pouty face, a gesture she knew Viyansh couldn't resist. True to his habit, Viyansh leaned in and lightly pecked her pout.

Viyansh: "Jaisa aap kahe meri jaan."

(As you say, my love.)

Vaidehi grinned with anticipation as they both prepared for their date. Vaidehi reached for her perfume, spraying a light mist of her favorite fragrance, while Viyansh stood in front of the mirror, meticulously setting his hair. He wore a crisp white shirt paired with white pants, secured with a brown belt. Over his shirt, he donned a stylish dark beige blazer and completed his look with polished brown shoes. His hair was perfectly gelled, and his beard was neatly groomed, giving him a sharp and sophisticated appearance. Viyansh's left wrist sported a sleek watch, adding a touch of elegance to his attire. His right hand sported a red holy thread, a symbol of protection tied by Vaidehi, showcasing their cultural traditions and her loving gesture for his well-being.

His neck, as usual, displayed the gold chain with the "Om" (ॐ) symbol that Vaidehi had gifted him, a piece he never took off. His appearance exuded confidence and elegance, complemented by his carefully chosen attire and groomed look, he looked incredibly handsome. Vaidehi, always mindful of their baby, chose to wear elegant flats instead of heels. The flats complemented her chiffon beige saree with the golden border perfectly, maintaining her grace and style while ensuring her comfort and safety.

The moment Viyansh turned towards Vaidehi, she placed her hand on her heart and playfully acted as if she were feeling dizzy and about to faint. Viyansh's eyes widened in mock concern, quickly moving towards her.

Viyansh: "Biiwwiii"

Viyansh quickly reached out to hold her, a genuine concern flashing across his face. But before he could say anything, Vaidehi cupped his face with both hands and planted a soft kiss on his cheek, leaving him momentarily bewildered.

Vaidehi: "Vo actually aapki hotness dekh ke Mera sar chakra gaya tha."

(Actually, seeing your hotness made me feel dizzy.)

Viyansh gave her a stern look, trying to maintain a serious expression, but Vaidehi only giggled in response.

Viyansh: "Is hisaab se mujhe toh behosh ho ho jaana chahiye, hai na?"

(By that logic, I should be fainting all the time, right?)

Vaidehi: "Ho jaiyega but date ke baad ha please."

(You can, but after the date, please.)

Viyansh: "Yaar pagal ho puri tum."

(You are completely crazy.)

He leaned in and playfully nibbled on her cheek, causing her to laugh and instinctively hit him on the chest in protest.

Vaidehi: "Chaliye na Ansh."

(Let's go, Ansh.)

He nodded, a contented smile on his face, and together they left for their date night.

I know it might seem a bit drawn out, but I wanted to include their date in a single chapter, so I had to extend this scene.
