*HELLO MY READERS!!!
So, I know its been a while since I last updated. Because of that I will be giving you, my beautiful, handsome, cute, charming, exquisite, amazing, wonderful, glorious and whatever good meaning words are out there, readers a total of 5 updates. Which are from Chapter 16 to Chapter 20.
HOORAY!!!
By the way, I'm really sorry for not updating so much. I have writers block and I hate it sooooo much. Its infuriating how there isn't an idea coming out of my head and into the story for you. I also want to apologize for writing the chapters short. I wasn't sure how to make the story for each chapter long. That's another problem that I've been facing. This is happening because when I start having an idea, I write it down and the story stars to flow out as I write. How I tend to try and make it long is by reading it all over again when its finish. When I do that, it will slowly get longer. But, it will take a longer time to update. And I really don't want to keep you readers waiting.
So, since I have gave you readers my thoughts, please give me a penny? And when I say penny, I mean some comments on what you readers think or want. Ok? Because I need your help on ideas and so on. You choose. Its best if the story line is based on the readers thoughts. It makes the story more interesting.
That's all from me, LOVE YOU READERS!!*
THIRD PERSON POVBAM!!"Crown Prince, can you please pay attention!? The Emperor won't be pleased to see you having such low marks." The Imperial tutor of Shun Rong said when he noticed the young prince focusing on something else again. He frowned.
"Teacher, I'm not in the mood to study anymore. Imperial mother isn't here and he hasn't come to see me after he came back from the forest too." Shun Rong pouted. He wasn't happy that his mother wasn't paying attention to him.
The tutor sighs. "Crown Prince, I know your upset about the Empress but you can't mope around like this. The Empress is busy as of current. So please be patient and understand what the Empress is going through." The tutor tried to console the young prince, but it was of no use. The prince just sat in his chair, playing with his writing tools.
Suddenly, the door to Shun Rong's study was opened. Shun Rong paid no mind thinking it was one of the servants or his guard.
The tutor went stiff when he sees who is at the door. He became quiet while looking down, not daring to meet his eyes. Shun Rong noticed how his tutor was suddenly quiet. He looked up to see his tutor's slightly shaking form and turned down eyes. Shun Rong instantly became pale. Only one person can make someone this scared.
'Oh, no! Imperial Father is behind me!! Knowing him, he must've heard what I said. I'm gonna be scolded for sure!! Ahh!!'
Turning around, he sees someone he never expected. His eyes became glassy with tears forming in his eyes, his lips trembled and his face became red. Without saying much, he stood from his seat and hugged the person at the door around his waist.
"Mother!!!" Shun Rong cried. Feng Liqin smiled down at his adopted son. He carried the boy in his arms and sat down at Shun Rong's study table.
As Shun Rong cried in his mother's arms, Feng Liqin rubbed the boys back comforting and whispered calming words to him. He kissed Shun Rong's forehead and held him tighter in his arms. He felt guilty for leaving the boy alone and not seeing him when he came back from the forest.
Feng Liqin turned to the tutor and dismissed him. After quite some time, Shun Rong finally stopped crying. He wiped his face with the cloth given to him by Feng Liqin and sat up in his mother's arms.
"Are you feeling alright now, Shun?" Feng Liqin asked.
Shun Rong nodded. "Yes, mother." He sniffed. "Why didn't you come to see me after so long mother? Your guards didn't even let me in when I went to see you." Shun Rong whined the last part, pouting.
Feng Liqin's guilt rose higher. "I'm really sorry, Shun. I didn't mean to do that to you. Something happened that needed my attention. So, I was unable to see you not let you come see me." Feng Liqin tried to explain. He bit his lip while thinking. "Umm... How about I make it up to you." He smiled gently down at Shun Rong. "I'll let you miss three days of studying with your tutor so that we can spend time together. You can even come and sleep with me for those three days if you want."
Shun Rong's face lit up with pure happiness. He immediately agrees, his whole body brimming with energy.
"But, make sure you don't make trouble for your father. If you do, he might not agree with my decision."
"Yes, mother. I understand." Shun Rong said while smiling.
Then, they both stood up. "By the way, Shun. We would be having tea with the other concubines now. Are you alright with that?" Feng Liqin wanted to confirm with him. He was afraid that maybe his son won't like to go.
Shun Rong made a disgusted face. "But, mother. They are mean. I don't like them. I don't think you should go. They might have another motive for wanting to see you. You shouldn't go, mother." Shun Rong tried avoiding his mother from going to the concubine's courtyard. He doesn't like the thought of his kind-hearted mother going to a black-hearted woman's lair. Zhong Shen that was standing at the side, cleared his throat. "If I may interrupt, I think the Empress will be fine, Crown Prince. The Empress has been there before and nothing dire has happened."
Feng Liqin giggled and let Zhong Shen talk with Shun Rong.
Shun Rong looked at Zhongshan with a sour expression, not believing what the guard is saying. Zhong Shen sigh, seeing as the young prince didn't get his meaning. "Crown Prince, if you really are worried about your mother, why don't you follow him. I'm sure the Empress would feel at ease with you around." Zhong Shen pressured some parts of his words to the prince.
Shun Rong, hearing the guards words finally understood his meaning. "Ah, alright. I'll accompany you, mother." Shun Rong agreed on following. As they walk towards the concubine's courtyard, he had a sly smirk on his face that Feng Liqin took as a happy smile.
Zhong Shen followed them. He knew just exactly what the young prince was planning. So to make it look real, he needed to be a distraction for the other three concubines when the time is right. He knew the young boy too well since he was the one that had to fix the problem of the Palace created by the young prince.
'I wonder what kind of Emperor would he be when grows up? Knowing his mischievous and sly attitude, I'm sure he would be feared. Just not by his wrath or fierceness, but by his ways that are just terrifying like his father's.' Zhong Shen thought and shuddered when he remembered the Emperor's way of torturing people he hated.
If there was one thing that he learned about the Emperor, it was never to be on his bad side. Especially to the point that he hates you to the core. You would regret crossing him. As the three people neared the courtyard, Zhong Shen received a slight tug. Looking down he sees the ever-smirking face of the young prince. He nodded then sighs. 'Yup, just like his dead mother alright.'
