“Alright. But aren’t you afraid that I’ll embarrass you? You used to say that you couldn’t take me anywhere,” I answered Gordon immediately.

“You can show them your skills in playing the piano. Also, how’s your Inglice?”

It seemed that my performance at the last mid–year banquet had made Gordon see me in a different light.

“My Inglice is alright, but I haven’t spoken the language in a few years,” I said, smiling calmly.

To be honest, I was simply being modest. My parents had employed a professional foreign teacher to train me since childhood. I had no problem with Inglice.

“Alright. Then just cooperate with me. If we can do business with them, then Holmes Group can expand again this year,” Gordon said in a low voice.

He had used the term “we“, which startled me.

Was he already treating me as part of the Holmes family?

He seemed to have no intention of divorcing me and was instead depending on me more. He was even willing to let me attend important events now.

That was good. That way, he and Sabrina wouldn’t grow close so quickly. Now that Nathan. was there to delay Sabrina, I didn’t think that she would try anything with Gordon for now.

I suddenly felt happy.

Although I had never accompanied Gordon in entertaining important guests, I remember that an important job like this would also require a lot of fresh flowers and floral arrangements for decor.

“Planning is Sabrina’s specialty. She said that she’s done many large–scale event decor with her mother since she was in university. There shouldn’t be a problem.”

Apart from his natural attraction to Sabrina, he also held an innate trust in her. It made me

envious.

The top half was a blazer that accentuated my waist with a thin belt, and the bottom half was a knee–length skirt. I matched it with a pair of white leather shoes and finished the look off with a white T–shirt inside. The entire outfit was designed to make me look elegant, clean, and refined. Gordon had also chosen a dark blue tie to go with his custom–made navy blue suit to match me as well.
