Malathi asks Deepika why Vedavalli did that.  Vedavalli loves Ashok uncle but Ashok uncle loves Saranya.  This is purely Vedavalli "to" not like.  She thinks that Saranya is responsible for many losses of her business and companies.  That's why Deepika tells Malathi that she is doing so with the idea that no one should get what she doesn't get. Malathi, who was talking to Deepika, left the phone and went to the kitchen room saying that Lesa had a headache.  There she used to add basil, pepper, cumin, ginger and cardamom and boil it in water and dissolve sugar in it.
