"Do you think it's Okay if they had Ice cream right now? It's pretty late" I asked looking at the kids. They pretty much insisted that it's Okay if they had Ice cream before bed time. But I have really bad feeling about this.
"I don't know about that but I have a feeling that we are going to face Mama bear pretty soon. Kevin never had Ice cream before sleeping though. But today I guess he wan to" Connor answered looking at his little brother who is trying to keep away Ethan from his Ice cream and Eva asking Ethan if he wants have some of her's.
They are so adorable with their pouting and all so I couldn't resist.
But now I think of that, as Connor said I'm pretty sure we are going to face the wrath of Mama bear.
"we are so dead" I muttered slightly feeling terrified. I know what you guys are thinking. I'm a wolf and I'm terrified of a human.Well you would be too if she is a mother and of all she is Mia.
"you think?" Connor said shaking his head.
After finishing Ice cream I thought they would go to bed but no they started playing around while jumping up and down.
I quickly washed the bowls and cleaned any evidence of Ice cream while Connor kept kids busy. I heard a car pulling in and immediately know they are back. I walked into living room where Connor is on the floor with eyes closed. Eva is doing little ponytails in his hair. While Ethan is busy twisting his legs. Kevin is making sure Ethan doesn't get hurt.
" Mama and paa are here" as soon as they heard Mama Eva and Ethan went rigid. They got up calmly and sat on sofa while Watching TV. Kevin just sat there looking at his big brother who immediately sat up facing TV and playing along with kids. Kevin just shrugged and joined them.
"Hey guys" Mia greeted before sitting on the sofa. She raised her eyebrow as Eva and Ethan waved their hands trying to play it cool.
"Kevin honey come here" Mia asked him to sit on sofa as he sat on the floor. She made him sit beside Ethan and kissed his cheek too.
"Did you guys had dinner? " she asked as she removed rubber bands from Connor's hair. Who's grinning like an idiot because he is getting some attention too.
"Yes Mama. Daddy made us Pasta. " they answered in Unison.
"Good. What about you guys? " she asked me and Connor.
"Yep" I answered. I looked at Alec who was lost in his own thoughts since he came in.
"what about Ice cream?" she asked nonchantly.
"Yes MaMa" they closed their mouth as soon as they have realised what they done. Mia looked at me and Connor for explanation but nothing came out.
"How? " that was all that came out.
"look at their faces. They always have this smug look when they had Ice cream without me knowing " she answered looking at them sternly.
"Sorry Mama. Connor was the one who insisted that we should have Ice cream. " Ethan lied.
"Did he?" she asked. Connor looked at kids and took the blame.
"I know who did what.Each one of you grounded. So no good night kisses for you all tonight. Now say good night to paa and go to bed. Now" she said folding her hands onto her chest.
Alec just came out of his world as they wished him good night. I wonder What's going on with him?
"Goons night guys" Mia wished us as she walked the kids upstairs with Connor following her like a lost puppy while she whined about good night kiss.
I looked back at Alec who is still busy in some other world.
"Are you Alright? " he didn't seem to hear me.
"Alec" I called out finally grabbing his attention.
"Huh? " that's all came out of his mouth.
"Are you Alright? " I asked again.
"yeah just tired " he answered sighing. What's with him?
"You seem so stressed " he does look so tense. He hesitated for a second but opened his mouth.
"what do you think of Jaxon Bryant? " He asked making me wonder what's going on?
"The Jaxon Bryant?" I asked to make sure if he's talking about same Jaxon who I think he's talking about.
"Yeah. We had dinner with him earlier. He called me last night to meet him cause he is in town for some business meeting " he said rubbing his forehead.
"I don't know much but I know he can really be ruthless. He is Demon for a reason. And also a king. He is pretty strong. I also heard he's quiet a ladies man. He's ally so you don't have to worry. I have met him once at Alpha's annual meeting" I heard really horrifying stories about him.
"Oh" that's all he said before facing TV and staring at the screen which is not even On.
"so what does Jaxon want if I may ask? " I asked carefully testing the waters. He took one look at me and turned back to TV before opening his mouth.
" I don't if I could share you with this but anyway He wants us to secure his pack grounds with our new technology technology " But I can tell it's not all. There is something more.
But I'm fine if he doesn't want to share it with me yet.
"So, Did you guys accept the project? " Jaxon's pack resides in Canada. And it's really far away.
" I don't know . we told him that we would think about it and will let him know tomorrow" he answered scratching his nose.
"If you accept.. "
"we have to go to his pack grounds to do a real survey and other things. And That's what I'm worried about, if Mia and I left to Canada, I'm pretty sure kids would want to go with us. So does Connor. And I don't trust this Jaxon guy with my family " he said narrowing his eyes.
" what about me? " I tried not to sound sad but my voice betrayed me.
" what about you? " I wonder if he's playing or literally have no idea.
"Is it alright if I tag along? " I just want to be with my mate and kids.
" Do I have a choice? Anyway I want someone I can trust with the kids. So, I guess you and Connor would be best choice to trust you with the kids" he trusts me. He trusts me.
"you don't have to be so happy" my wolf annoying voice echoed in my mind.
"whatever"i shut him down. He can be so mean.
"we can take john and guys with us." he said pulling out his phone.
"I will get some warriors. Connor probably would bring his friends and Some Royal guards beside kevin" I said hoping this trip would bring us close and everything would be fine.
"Alright let me call John and Good night" with that he walked upstairs to his room leaving me alone with my thoughts.
All I can think is how can I get back my family. This is going to be long journey. But Moon goddess please give me the strength so that I could fight for my kids and mate.
