"Excuse me?" Mia asked in confusion.
"don't get me wrong.Mia is human, I don't think she should go to Borders. Borders are dangerous. Trespassers would see her as easy target. And I don't want that to happen" Jaxon answered with firm voice. I can't argue with that but Mia would never agree to that.
" I thought you have best warriors " Mia said snorting. Mia you're going to get us killed.
"I do. But I don't want to take a chance. Well.. If you does insist going to borders I shall accompany you. " Jaxon said folding hands and challenging us with eyes to argue further.
"Don't worry about that, Alec Can take care of me" of course I can but why are we even having this discussion??
"Alec can take Ryan to South border. I can take you to North border. We can finish the work soon. And if you don't trust me you can bring your mate, what's his name? Oh yeah.. Connor. Brick will take care of the kids" why does I smell something fish?
So here we are after tons of discussion, I'm headed to southern border with Ryan accompanied by some Royal warriors. Mia left for North border with Jaxon and Connor. We left kids in the care of John.
Ryan agreed to assist me. But he's annoying as always. We are walking little bit behind warriors for privacy because the person beside me insisted.
"Alec, can I ask you something? "
Now what? Why the heck I agreed with Jaxon to let Ryan tag along?
"You just Did" I said inspecting the trees and spots as we walk.
"Oh come on" see I told you, he's annoying.
"Fine, whatever" I gave in finally.
"Let's play 20-20" Is he serious?
"What are you? five?" Dear moon goddess please give me strength so that I could stop myself from killing him.
" Hey!! there are no such rules that it can be played by only five year olds" Is he seriously pouting? Now I know why Ethan is stubborn.
"Fine" I sighed completely giving in.
"What's your name?" god.. I'm gonna kill him.
"Seriously? You don't know your Mate's name" I asked looking at him in disbelief.
" Come on play along. We are starting over. Aren't we? " he asked grinning ear to ear. How I want to smack that grin off his face.
" Then I don't want to give my name to strangers " I said smirking at him.
"Alec.. " he started whining. I couldn't
help but chuckle at that.
"See, now you know my name" is he really an Alpha?
"Hey that's not fair" please don't tell me he's pouting.
I just shrugged at him while marking important trees with red ink.
"Fine, now it's your turn" he still insists playing?
"Alright, Did your mother ever told you? " I asked looking at him in the eye.
" What? " he asked with surprised look on his face.
"Did your mother ever told you that how many times you were dropped as a kid and hurt your head? " I asked all serious.
" I don't know. Wait, what?" he asked realizing what I was indicating at. I burst out laughing out loud when I saw that look on his face. God he is so stupid.
"You mean I'm stupid?" he asked me narrowing his eyes at me. I didn't answer that question as I'm still busy in laughing at him and I didn't notice when he moved so close.
" Keep laughing, I will show what this stupid can do" his husky voice in my ear and his breath on my neck made me shiver which immediately made me stop laughing and making me stiff.
I jumped away from him as soon as I noticed he was too close. I hate that After all this years he still has that kind of power on me.
"See that made you stop laughing. I was just worried you will choke if you keep on laughing. Now it's my turn" he continued as if nothing happened.
Why the heck I agreed to this?
"What's your favorite vacation spot? " he asked reviving the papers I gave him.
"I like to spend my vacation with Mia and kids on our private island? It's calm and peaceful." It's the place where we used to spend our summers but this year i'm here stuck with this stupid moron.
"where does it locate?" no way I'm gonna answer him that.
"It's confidential" I answered in firm voice making clear that it's not up for discussion. It's not only for vacation but hide out in case of emergencies. He went silent.
"what's your favorite vacation spot? " I just repeated his question cause I don't know what to ask.
"I always wanted to visit Greece with you. I heard it's so romantic for honeymoon." yeah keep dreaming on.
"you wish" never in million years I would go with him.
"you never know" can I kill him now?
"You keep this up. I will kill you right now" he lifted his hands in surrender.
"Alright, what's your favorite car? " what? we're still playing this game? I guess we are.
"I love choppers more than cars. If I have to chose it will be Rolls Royce sweptails" I answered. I own couple of them actually custom made.
"Woah. They are really costly. I'm more of a truck and SUV guy." he loved trucks since he was a kid.
"I know. You guys used to have races on highways on Saturday nights. I still remember you almost driving off the cliff" His Beta and him used to have this stupid death races. But when his Alpha found out I mean when his father found out he grounded Alec and his friends with no cars and community duty.
"Yeah. We still don't know who called my father about that. He caught us all in action and immediately grounded us" I immediately looked away from him. He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Don't tell me" yep it was me. When I saw he almost drive off the cliff, I got scared.
"In my defense I was worried that you guys would get killed in that stupid races. So, I had to" I shrugged like it's not a big deal. But it is, I don't want this stupid a*s to kill himself.
"Awe I would have been more happy if it's because you care about only me"
He said playfully. He has no idea how right he was. I used to care about him so much maybe I still do. I don't know.
As he was about open his mouth, He was cut off by a guard.
"Alpha Ryan, we need to run from here to reach the border. So, we need to shift. " Damn how can I undress myself in front of him?
"It's Okay. You can get behind that tree. " No way I'm giving him any satisfaction that he still has some affect on me. So, i immediately started stripping. He whistled making me glare at him. He immediately lifted his hands in surrender and stripped. He still does look like a Greek god.
We both shifted at same time. He turned into black wolf with yellow eyes as I turned into grey wolf with brown eyes. We both howled and started running towards southern border with guards following closely.
Ryan playfully nudged me and picked up speed. He wants us to race
Oh it's so on you stupid guy I thought as I picked up speed too. It's been a while since I ran in woods like this. Wind feels good on my fur.
Unknown P. O. V
"Looks like he found her but I'm not sure." the man said to the person on the phone.
"So, what? " the person on the phone asked.
"I don't want any distractions.so, we need to kill her" the man said with Venom lacing in his voice.
"First of all you need to confirm that she is" the person on the phone replied.
"Fine" the man grunted and ended the line.
