I have never thought i would be here again after that particular pday but i had to come back.Mia says no matter how far we run, our past will definitely makes its way to us and tries disturb our present but we need to be strong to face it.That's what I'm gonna do.I'm gonna try to stay strong for my kids and for her.
John walked me to Mia and Kids who are busy in playing with my dad and Noah.
"Paaa "they both came running towards me.
"I thought you were not going to make it" Eva said pouting.
"But i made it Baby girl.How can i not? I have made a promise. Didn't I? "i said picking up her in my eyes.I saw my father smiling at me.I looked at Mia who is talking with my mom about something.
"Pa... Lets play Hide and seek"Eva said giving me puppy dog eyes.Hide and seek is Eva's favorite game.I put her down and took off my coat and handed it over to John.And walked to near by tree and started counting.I can hear Eva's running to hide.
"Come on Grandpa... come on Uncle.Lets go and hide" Eva is shouting without stopping her giggles.
"Be careful Babygirl.. "Mia warned her.
"5...6 7 8... 30... Okay I'm coming" I yelled and turned around to see only Mia and My mom are seating on the picnic benches and Bodyguard all around.But no sign of my kids ,dad and my brother.
"Help me"I mouthed to Mia.
"No "she replied mouthing back.Shaking my head i started searching for them. all kids and parents are busy in their own world.I can smell Eva and Ethan but not my dad and Noah because they know how to mask their scent.
I heard a snap of twig to my right and i can tell it's Ethan who's hiding behind a big tree.Ha gott cha...
I slowly walked to my left and walked all the way around to get behind him.I can see his little trying to get a look at me.I snooped behind him slowly.
"Got you"i shouted in his ear. And with in few minutes i caught Dad and Noah but not Eva.I was about to panic but i saw a movement besides Mia.
I started walking towards Mia.Mia mouthed "Don't"
I was about to walk all the way but i saw three cars making there way towards park's gate.John and his men immediately covered us for safety.
"Relax boys.I know who's it" IÂ can smell him from here.But i can smell unfamiliar scents.So,i handed over the kids to Mia and my mom and started walking towards cars.
"Pa"I turned around to see Eva who looked scared.I walked towards her and picked her up in my arms.I saw Ryan walking towards us with three young men who can hardly be eighteen but they are well built like Ryan and me.One boy particularly caught my eyes.He's as tall as Ryan if not more but little less muscular than Ryan.But I'm sure he would grow up to more powerful than Ryan.But who's he? Looks like he's sniffing around with his nose up in the air little bit.Then he looked straight at us.More like he's trying to look behind me.
"Hey"Ryan said standing in front of me.I was still looking at The boy who's trying to get a glimpse of Mia who's busy in working on the Laptop.
".Who are these guys?" I asked him.
"Um... this is Prince Connor Shaw and this is his friends Henry and Tom"Ryan introduced them. So this guy is prince huh.which means he must be the only son of Alpha king.
"Hello Mr. Shaw.I'm Alec Robinson. This is my daughter Eva and my son Ethan. And that's my girlfriend Mia and mother of my kids"when I Introduced Mia his head immediately snapped towards me. This kid has some serious issues.
"your girlfriend? " he sounded little weird.
"yep.Eva go to mommy,I have something important to discuss With my friends" Eva immediately ran towards her mom and jumped onto her lap and whispered something which made Mia smile and kissed her forehead.
"She's really a good mother Alec"My dad said with a genuine smile.
"she is. Now is there anything I can help?" I asked them folding my hands.
"Nothing.Connor turned 19 couple of months back. so, Alpha king thought it would be good for him to get to know all packs around USA. So, I'm just showing him around and your dad said you are here and I thought I would drop by to wish you guys."Ryan explained.
"That's so thoughtful of you. If you excuse me now I have to join my family"I said non chantly.
"Alec" My dad started. But Ryan cut him off.
"It's okay Edward. Can I join you guys? " I was about say but my dad answered before I did.
"Sure "he said smiling at him. I hate my dad so much right now.
I walked to the picnic table leaving the group and sat beside Mia.
"what's with that face? Oh... " she got answer when she looked behind me.Ryan and his little buddies sat in front of us. My mom gave them cookies and drinks.
"Those are for kids"i said in annoyed tone.
"Alec... "Mia warned. "Don't mind him. He was just mad that he didn't get any. Here"Mia forced some cookies into my mouth. Then she burst out laughing along with kids.
"Mia.you better run"i said taking water bottle into my hands.she shrieked and stood up after she placed Eva gently on bench and started backing off.
"Don't you dare? " she warned. I smirked at her.
"No way. Revenge is a sweet b****.Right Ryan? "I asked smirking at him. I looked back at Mia. She is shaking her head no. Eva and Ethan are cheering up for me to get their mommy.
"you little...."Mia was about to say something but started to run when she saw I'm coming at her.
I can easily get her because I can run faster than humans but where is fun in that. I started running along chasing her.
"Run faster paa." Eva started to cheer more loudly.
I increased my pace and was about to catch her. Before I realised what's happening,Mia tripped herself taking me down with her.She smacked me upside down because I have switched our positions so that she wouldn't get hurt.We both looked into each others eyes and burst out laughing.
"Are you alright? "she asked in between laughs.
"Yeah... What about you? " she was about answer but Eva and Ethan came running towards us and jumped on us.
"Ow" Mia gasped in pain between laughs. Nate helped us in getting up.
"cute family.right?"my mom said in awe.
"More like a crazy family"Mia said glaring at me and kids but smiled nonetheless.
I heard someone clearing their throat and looked in the direction when Ryan and little buddies.
Ryan looks really pissed off right now.But I have no idea why. And so does Connor or whatever his name is.I checked my watch and realised it's going to get dark soon.
"Eva and Ethan say your good byes to everyone. We better start moving. It's going to get dark soon. "They were about to protest but stopped when Mia told them we can come over again. Mia and my dad took kids to picnic table to pack their stuff. I turned to Ryan.
"We should get going Alpha. "I was about to walk off but Ryan stopped me.
"Your kids are cute"he said with genuine smile.
"Thank you"If only he knew.
"Alec. I'm sorry that... "I cut him off immediately.
"That's in past.If it isn't for you I wouldn't have a lovely family. So, I forgive you" I know that's partially true.
"I'm glad you have wonderful family unlike me" Ryan said in a kind of sad tone which gave me pang in chest.But I kept numb.That's his own fault.
"yeah... Wonderful family... " Connor said looking behind me.
"well. Thanks"i said and turned around saying good bye. I don't know why but it hurts so badly.It feels so heavy... We said our good byes and got into the cars and left. I couldn't look at Ryan.
"Are you alright? "Mia asked while driving the car. I looked in back seat where Eva and Ethan sleeping with smiles on their faces.
"yeah. They look so tired. I think they had good time today. "I said still looking at them. Our car is in middle of John and his men's cars.
"uh-huh.It's been a while since we have spend some quality time with them. "Mia said focusing back on driving.
Ryan's face suddenly popped into my mind. He's making everything difficult for me. This guilt is eating me up.
"you should tell him the truth Alec"Mia said not looking at me.
"How did u knew that I was thinking of him? "I asked in annoyed tone.
"I have been with you so long that I can tell by just looking at your face"she said grinning.
"whatever"but she's right.yet I don't I would ever tell him the truth. What if he rejects them too... That thought made me whimper unconsciously.
"Are you alright Alec?"Mia asked in concern.
"Yeah. I'm just tired " I answered. 'of everything' I thought.....
