Then, he suggested, “Since everything is settled, let’s go have lunch together; it’s about that time.

Everything at the restaurant is set, and the chef will have our meals ready as soon as we arrive.

”

Harlan then glanced at Zoe and whispered, “Danielle is already there, waiting.

She’s eager to see you.

”

Caleb and I had no objections; we turned to look at Zoe.

However, Zoe didn’t react to Harlan’s comment; she kept her gaze lowered, playing with her nails, silent.

Though Zoe didn’t openly show it, from what I understand, she was uneasy about Danielle’s presence.

Basically, until Harlan resolved whatever issue existed with Danielle, Zoe preferred not to engage with her to avoid any discomfort for either of them.

Zoe remained composed, her expression unchanged, likely having braced herself for such an encounter by deciding to come.

Meanwhile, I was taken aback by Harlan; he seemed completely unaware, focused solely on Zoe, trying to make her feel comfortable.

I’m sure you’ll love it.
