Out of the corner of my eye, I saw many shopping bags and gift boxes piled up in the corner of the room.

I walked closer and found that they were all children’s toys.

There were toy cars for boys and beautiful dolls for girls.

Perhaps he had bought all these toys to make up for the lost years.

ALL of a sudden, I felt mixed emotions.

Janiya strode in, but she seemed to be drunk.

She staggered into the room, and she didn’t even notice me.

“Caleb? Caleb! Where are you?” she shouted in a drunken slur.
