I closed my eyes in despair, waiting for my impending doom.
âTake her away!â Leonel barked.
Then his men swarmed toward me, ready to grab me and take me away.
Just then, a familiar voice sounded.
âWho said you could take her away?â
Debraâs POV:
I cautiously opened my eyes and saw the source of the voice.
It was none other than Caleb, the father of my child, and he was walking toward us unhurriedly.
He was wearing a black shirt, his sleeves casually rolled up, revealing his chiseled arms.
His blond hair dazzled underneath the barâs bright lights.
My heart raced in my chest.
That strong sense of attraction stirred inside of me again.
âItâs him!â Ivy shouted excitedly.
âI told you! Caleb is your mate, I swear!â
I didnât deny it, nor did I say anything really.
I just fixed my eyes on him.
He was my Last hope.
He was Like my knight in shining armor, swooping in to save me at the last minute.
But my hopes were dashed as soon as he walked right past me.
He didnât even bother to look at me.
Instead, he went straight to Leonel.
âThis is my territory.
No one can take her away,â he warned Leonel coldly.
Leonel seemed to be afraid of Caleb.
He said apologetically, âIâm sorry we trespassed into your territory, but our Alpha ordered us to arrest this traitor.
Once we have her, weâll compensate you for the damages to your barââ
âGet out.
Now!â Caleb leered at him.
âIâm not interested in your or your Alphaâs business, but I hate being disturbed when Iâm drinking.
â Leonel faltered and glanced at me, but he still refused to give up.

Suddenly, Caleb snapped his fingers.
Countless werewolves in black suits came out of nowhere and surrounded Leonel and his men.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense.
âI donât give a damn about whichever pack sheâs from.
Youâre all in my territory now, so you have to obey my rules.
â Calebâs tone was calm but his aura was intimidating.
âI have the final say here.
â
Leonelâs expression darkened.
âAnd what if she leaves your territory?â âThen itâll be up to you.
â Caleb didnât seem to give a damn.
Leonel also knew that it was unwise to fight against Caleb head-on here, so he had no choice but to leave with his men dejectedly.
As soon as they were gone, Caleb Looked like he was going to leave.
It was as though he didnât know I existed.
âCaleb, wait!â I struggled to stand up.
âOh, itâs you.
â He looked down at me.
Only then did he seem to recognize me.
Then, he seemed to remember something and his tone became harsh and contemptuous.
âWhat? Did you come here to trick another guy into sleeping with you?â
