When she returned to the Thorn Edge Pack, I would figure out a way to end her life.
Debraâs POV:
A hush fell over the monitoring room.
Neither Caleb nor I spoke a word for a long time.
We simply watched the live surveillance footage of the dungeon in complete silence.
I had to hand it to Janiya and Denise; their performances were really spectacular.
Without the surveillance footage, their true colors would never have been revealed.
I turned to look at Caleb and said sarcastically, âAre all the women in the Thorn Edge Pack like that? Or is it just the women youâve messed with who are like that?â
Caleb turned his face away and coughed, Looking very embarrassed
âI donât know them that wellâ¦â
I continued my sarcastic tirade.
âOh, I donât blame you.
Youâve had so many lovers, itâs a miracle you remember their names.
â
âDebra, why do you keep digging up the past?â Caleb frowned helplessly
âBecause the issues of the past havenât been resolved,â I responded coldly.
After a moment of silence, Caleb took my hand and said firmly, âI canât change the past, but I can make you happy in the present.
IâLL do whatever it takes to make you forget the past.
â
I could see the sincerity in his eyes, so I stopped provoking him.
After all, we had more pressing matters at hand-namely, the relocation of Roz Townâs residents.
Fortunately, many of the residents had changed their mind after our engagement ceremony, and the final results of the voting had just come out.

The votes in favor of the move far surpassed the opposing party.
Seeing this, both Caleb and I breathed a sigh of relief.
It had taken us a great deal of effort to reach this point in the plan.
I was tired of watching the surveillance footage, so I told Caleb, âIâm going to meet up with Riley.
â
Caleb didnât stop me.
He just said, âBe careful.
Call me if anything happens.
â
I nodded and then headed to the office building alone.
When I arrived, Riley greeted me cheerfully and handed me a List.
âPerfect timing, Debra.
Iâve drawn lots for the first group of people who will move.
Hereâs the list of names.
â
I scanned through the list quickly.
Fortunately, I saw Sallyâs name on it.
âSally, youâre part of the first group!â
