Burying myself deeper in my blanket, I yawned. After a few minutes of staring inside the dark blanket, I grabbed my phone and checked the time. I had about 2 hours before leaving for school. Usually, I woke up 10 minutes after my alarm went off but today, I was up early. I stifled a yawn while rubbing my eyes. Walking over the window, I opened the curtains and found myself staring at trees with white flakes on them. It snowed! Iâve always loved snow. The view was spectacular. The green lawn was completely covered with snow, a few cars which were parked outside had frosted windshields and snow resting on the wipers. Without wasting another minute, I ran to the closet and grabbed some warm clothes and put them on. Quietly, I ran out of the silent house. I stepped on the clear snow, my soft boots sinking in the huge pile of snow. Smiling, I dropped down on my knees and touched the snow. I should have worn gloves but I was too excited to care. After a moment, my palms felt numb and I shivered. Iâm definitely going to end up getting a frostbite.
âYou should have worn gloves.â
My head snapped in the direction the voice came from. Ethan. I felt myself smile and blush at the same time. He looked cute, as always.
âI should have,â I said, nodding. âWhy are you up this early?â
He shrugged. âIâm usually up at this time everyday,â he said, walking towards me and sitting down. He gave me a pair of gloves and I smiled.
âHow did you know I didnât have gloves?â I asked with curiosity.
âI saw you without gloves from my balcony.â
âOh, thanks,â I said softly and pulled the warm, soft gloves on.
âAnything for you,â he said with a wink, making me blush.
âYour cheeks,â he said, chuckling.
âWhat about them?â I asked, suddenly feeling conscious.
âTheyâre bright red,â he said, letting out white smoke.
âBecause of the weather,â I said quickly.
âDonât worry, you still look cute,â he said, making me blush again.
I rolled my eyes and shoved him playfully. We just sat there in silence for a minute, listening to his calm breathing, when he suddenly he threw some snow on my face. Wiping my face, I narrowed my eyes at him. I started to gather some snow, feeling the cold breeze fan my face. He noticed what I was doing and got up, jogging away from me.
âAsh. No,â he warned me.
Giving him a sweet smile, I threw the snowball towards him. He ducked and smirked at me. But I was already ready with another one and this time I managed to hit his shoulder.
âItâs on.â He bent and gathered snow.
Before I knew it, we were running across the lawn, dodging and throwing snowballs at each other. I couldnât stop laughing. Making a small snowball and trying to dodge the one threw at me, I slipped and landed on my butt. I started laughing loudly and Ethan was standing above me laughing as well and blocking the sunlight. He outstretched his hand and I took it as he lifted me halfway up and then dropped me back down. I shrieked as he laughed even more and outstretched his hand again.
Narrowing my eyes at him, I said, âNo, thanks. Iâm good.â
I got up and felt someone shove snow down my shirt. I screamed and turned to see Michael standing in front of me with a grin.
âMichael!â I whined with a shiver.
âYes, Ash?â he asked with an innocent look.
Laughing, he gave Ethan a high five.
âShut up,â I said and shoved Michael playfully.
âHey, Iâm going to go inside and make something to eat,â Ethan said and started walking towards the door.
âIâm going to go as well,â I told Michael with another shiver.
Michael nodded. âHey, Ash?â
I stopped and turned to face him. âYeah?â
âIâm going to ask Abby to go on a date with me today,â he said with a grin.
Squealing, I ran to him and hugged him. Laughing, he hugged me back.
âWhoa, youâre really cold,â he said.
Pulling away, I gave him a smile and said, "I know."
He shook his head, "Come on, let's go inside and warm you up."
Chuckling, we walked into the house.

Abbyâs POV
Giving dad a quick kiss on the cheek, I rushed out of the house and hopped into the car.
âSweety, are you sure you want to go to school today? You could take another day off,â mom asked, fiddling with the house keys.
I sighed, mom had been pampering me for the past week. She freaked out when she saw me in the hospital with the plaster. But all I could think about was that Michael ditched the play for me. For me.
âMom, Iâm fine,â I said, giving her a bright smile.
Mom rolled her eyes and we were driving down the road.
The photos of the play were still not out and I seriously couldnât wait any longer. I just had to see Ash as Juliet and Ethan as Romeo. I was sad at first that I didnât get to be a part of the play but when I realized that Ash and Ethan would share a kiss, I was more than happy to not be a part of the play. Because if the accident didnât happen, then probably Michael wouldnât have come to get me and Ethan wouldnât have taken over the role as Romeo.
The car stopped and I got out carefully.
âTake care and if anything happens, give me a call and Iâll be here, alright?â mom instructed.
I smiled. âAlright, mom.â
I walked towards Ashleyâs locker. This is basically what I did every morning. Instead of going to my locker, I would go to Ashleyâs where I usually met her and Erica. I got to stare at Michael too, who would be with Ethan on the opposite side of the hallway.
âAbby!â Erica exclaimed and hugged me. Ash hugged me as well.
âHow are you?â Ash asked, gesturing to my plaster.
âIâm alright,â I said with a shrug. âIt hurts sometimes but itâs alright.â
Ashley gave me a sympathetic smile while Erica started rummaging through her bag for something. After a second, she had a pen and she moved towards my plaster to write something on it.
You couldâve called me instead of Michael âErica.
Reading what she wrote, I chuckled. Ash took the pen and started writing something as well.
You didnât have to get me a flower crown, Abby âAsh.
Shaking my head, I said, âWhat happened to messages that say âget well soon?ââ
Erica and Ash exchanged a look and shrugged. I shook my head again. Itâs Friday. So, my first lesson would be French. I smiled to myself, the only lesson where I sat next to Michael.
âWhat are you guys doing tonight?â I asked.
âNothing much, weâll probably just watch a movie,â Erica said.
âLetâs go out somewhere,â I replied.
âNo,â Ash said quickly.
âWhy?â I asked, frowning.
She hesitated before answering. âBecause-â
I waited before questioning. âBecause?â
âBecause Iâm going to need Ericaâs help for packing my stuff,â she said with a closed-mouth smile.
âWhat? Why?â Erica replied, knitting her eyebrows. âYou have quite a lot of days before you leave.â
Ashley shot her a look.
âAre you guys hiding something from me?â I asked.
âNo,â Erica said, glancing at Ashley.
âNever mind, we can do something tomorrow night then,â I suggested.
âTotes,â Ash said with a grin.
âEw. Donât say that,â I said with a scowl.
âWhy?â Ash asked, confused.
âBecause it sounds lame,â I replied.
Ash rolled her eyes and faced her locker to get something.
I saw Michael walking down the hallway towards Jared, his bright eyes twinkling. I didnât get the chance to thank him yet. I could do that in French. I still remember when he was in a relationship. I would see him walking down the hallway with his snobby ex and he would kiss her passionately. I always felt a sudden pang of jealousy rise inside me.
âStop drooling over Michael,â Erica said playfully.
I rolled my eyes and mumbled, âI wasnât drooling over him.â
Ash chuckled. âYes,you were.â
âNo,â I responded quickly.
âYes,â Erica and Ash said together.
âNo!â I said but my reply drowned because of the shrillness of the bell. Ash and Erica laughed while I rolled my eyes and tried to hide my blush. Ash shut her locker and they started walking after saying bye to me.
Sighing, I started walking to the French room. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned to see Michael grinning at me. He grinned at me as we started walking and I returned it with a closed-mouth smile.
âYou seem really happy today,â I observed.
âYeah,â he said, nodding. âWell, Iâm a bit nervous too.â
âAnd why is that?â I asked him as he motioned to enter the classroom with his hand like a gentleman.
âIâm going to ask a girl out today,â he said, sitting down.
In that moment, I felt all the happiness inside of me rush out.
âOh,â I said.
âOh? Thatâs all your going to say?â he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
âWell, I-I hope sh-she agrees,â I stuttered.
âI hope she does too,â he said confidently and we fell into silence because Mrs. Giselle entered the classroom. Michael usually didnât talk when teachers were around. Weird. I know.
He was going to ask a girl out. Alright. Okay. Maybe this is a sign for me to get over him. Maybe itâs time for me to move on. How long am I supposed to like him in hopes that he would like me back someday?
I glanced at him and saw him reading the messages Erica and Ashley had written. His perfect lips formed into an adorable smile. He removed a pen out of his pocket and wrote something on the plaster too. After he finished writing, he glanced at me and I leaned forward to read what he wrote.
Abby, what are you doing tonight?
Confused, I took my pen and wrote â Nothing much.
He broke into a grin and took his sweet time to write â Great! Youâre going out with me tonight then. Iâll pick you up at 6:30.
My eyes widened and I looked up at him. He raised his eyebrows, studying my face and waiting for a response.
âMr. Brooks and Ms. Anderson,â Mrs. Giselle interrupted, pronouncing my last name as An-dayer-son. âPay attention.â
Michael and I looked away instantly. Feeling giddy, I wrote â Iâll wait for you.
I showed it to him and he smiled at me.
By the way, itâs quite hard to write on a plaster.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! The boy Iâve been liking practically forever just asked me out!
A/N: Helloooo! Yay! Michael and Abby are finally going on a date ;) hehe. And trust me, it really is hard to write on a plaster. Oh! Did you like Abby's point of view? Just a little teaser, the next chapter is going to be Abby's POV as well :P
