Chapter 14: Chapter 14~ Hard Nap…

Blake’s POV~

I opened my eyes.. I’m lying on top of my mate…still inside of her. What the fuck was that? I looked down at Lex and she had just begun to stir. She opened her eyes and said “What happened?” I shrugged “I’m not sure…but I think we need to read that book!” And she giggled..

I linked Cody 🐺 Cody? Is everything alright? 🐺 Blake? Holy shit dude! You have been out for over 36 hours! What the fuck happened? I checked on you..but you were both just out of it..and nekkid! 🐺 Yeah..we don’t know either. We’re starving..what time is it? 🐺6:40 am…Tuesday! 🐺 What??? Get us some breakfast..and a shit ton of coffee! You and Damon meet us in the office. We have to figure this out!

I kiss Lexi and pull her into the shower. Telling her that we missed an entire day and a half…her eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of her face. We dressed in sweats and tee shirts and headed to the office…book in hand.

Walking into the office, Damon and Cody both jumped…. Cody said “Holy Fuck! Dude, You. Are. Huge! You look like you’re six inches taller and a good foot wider!” Then he started laughing.. Damon asks “Did you not notice how tight your shirt is? You look like you’re ready to dance in some male revue! Fucking sweat pants look like girls capris pants” And now they’re rolling. The fuck! I am bigger. A lot bigger! Easily 7’ tall!

Lexi nods “Yep! Best get to reading! There should be something about us.. I’m the white wolf..and apparently…there’s legends!” And Damon laughs even harder “This is gonna be fun!”

I growled at him “Find me some clothes that fit! My shoes are even too small! The fuck? Oh wait! The Goddess! She told me I would get larger when we marked and mated!” Alexis giggled “well…she didn’t lie!” And that was all it took to settle our nerves..

I asked Cody “Is your sister gone?” He nods “Thank Goddess! I threatened to rip her throat out three times before I got her on that fucking plane! Bitch is crazy! Talking about all the ways she is going to get rid of Lexi! On a side note.. Andrew found his mate at the diner yesterday! Kind of cool..actually!” I smile “That is great news! Now…call Helena..and ask your mom.. we have to have our Luna ceremony and it has to happen on the next full moon…so 26 days. You and Damon get evites out to every Alpha we are allied with”

Alexis says “Tell them to bring up to ten unmated members.. 5 males and 5 shewolves! I want to test out something I just read in the book. Arielle not only heals rejected hearts…she brings souls together.. Worth a shot!? If we are remotely successful, we can maybe try a mating ball?”

I smile “That book is already helpful.. Keep reading my gorgeous witch!” And I kissed her hard! I’m never going to not want to do that! I am falling! Fast and Hard! I love her. I Love Her! Oh Goddess! “Lexi…. I am in love with you!” Her whole face lit up! She threw herself into my arms…kissing me all over my face “I am in LOVE with YOU!!!” And I laughed! So beautifully silly and she’s all mine!

My phone rang.. “Sterling” …..A voice on the other end speaks “Alpha Sterling…this is Luna Caroline from Yellowstone Pack. We were attacked by rogues last night. My mate is critically injured.. we lost 25 warriors. They attacked around 11..we estimated about 150 of them. They breached and were inside the pack house before we knew it. Can you send help?” Alexis spoke “ Luna Caroline… my name is Luna Alexis…describe your mate’s injuries?” She started to cry… “Our doctor doesn’t think he will survive.. he was attacked with silver knives and I was told it was entering his bloodstream.” Alexis looked at me “We have to go.. now! I can’t save him if his wounds close over…and I definitely can’t if 24 hours pass” I tell Caroline “Tell your doctors to not close his wounds…keep them bleeding. We will be there within two hours!” Hanging up I link Damon 🐺 Damon… 50 of our best warriors… Now.. at the vehicles. Cody.. you are in charge of the pack until we return! Yellowstone was attacked last night.. Alpha Ian will not survive if I don’t get Luna there now. Double patrols…no access to our pack! Tell our people to shelter in place!

I grab her hand…running out the door. I drop these ridiculously small sweatpants and pull on basketball shorts.. And run for my truck. Flying east on the interstate, I called Bear Creek Pack.. knowing they’re allies with Yellowstone…Alpha Michael answered. “Did you receive a call from Yellowstone this morning?” He responds “Yeah.. but the attack was over so I saw no need to rush over there” I lost it “You are their fucking ally for a reason…You lazy son of a bitch! Alpha Ian is critical and YOU saw NO need? How’s this for a fucking need? You get some men there NOW and start tracking those Goddess damned rogues.. or when they come for Bear Creek.. I will see no fucking Need!”

Alexis smiled up at me…kissing my neck, whispering “That’s MY badass Alpha!” And that was all I needed to relax! Amazing! She said “It may be time to reevaluate our alliance with Bear Creek, yeah?” I nodded “I think you’re right!” And she went back to reading our book.

We arrived a half hour later and I let Damon get our warriors set to task. Alexis went to their clinic and by the time I walked through the doors…my 5’ tall mate had what I assumed to be a doctor pinned to the wall by his throat. I bit back a laugh.. because it kind of looks like he’s being beaten by a midget..but no way was I saying that out loud.. listening I hear her say “You incompetent piece of shit! Does your pack have NO respect for your Alpha and Luna! She gave you express fucking orders to keep his wounds OPEN! If Ian dies… it is because YOU killed Him! Useless motherfucker! Get out of my sight! NOW!” When he picked himself up off the floor he went to charge after her. I stepped between them and said “Ah ah ah! I will rip you in half if you so much as Think about going after MY Luna in any way!” Now leave!

Alexis is gone… I am assuming she’s with Ian and go in search of her.. I found her.. in the last room in this hallway. She’s covered in blood…holding a scalpel and reopening four separate wounds. Each time she cuts into one… she holds her hand.. open..over the wound. Her eyes are glowing and she is literally pulling the silver from his body. I am mesmerized…watching the liquid silver dance into the air..before she sends it splashing into a plastic bedpan. Fascinating! Once she has finished with the last wound.. she asks me “Where are the rest of the wounded? He will wake soon.”
