Third personâs POV~
Blake had linked Damon to come to the office. They want the interview videoâd so there can be no repercussions coming back on them later.. and while he got everything set up⦠Blake had Matthew bring Michael up from the cells. They thought it would be good for his reactions to his wifeâs words to be recorded, as well. Sometimes, those are more telling than any conversation might be!
Matthew brought him inâ¦nearly slamming him into a seat beside Laura.. He reached over and took her handâ¦but she snatched it back away. Thatâs a tell!
Helena sits across from Laura.. and knowing she had already established a rapport with her, Blake was leaving it in her capable hands with Cody and Damon close to Michael should he try to show his ass!
Helena smiles âLaura⦠letâs talk about your living mostly in the safe room, the last two months. How difficult that was.. with a nine year old sonâ¦huh!? I would have needed Xanax to stay sane!â Laura chuckled âIt wasnât that bad⦠we had the run of the safe room and the office most days. Michael was always off in the war room showing the other men the packs in the area.. letting them know which ones would be difficult⦠which Alphas would be easiest to take downâ Helena nods⦠âOf courseâ¦of course! Was Yellowstone the first pack on the attack list? Alpha Ian one of the easiest?â Shaking her head Laura said âOh no! He was third! There are two packs further north⦠Uhhmm⦠Michael.. that first one.. Green somethingâ¦Greenâ Michael tried to jump to his feet ⦠yelling at her to Shut Up.. but Damon slammed him down. Laura continued âGreen Ridge⦠an Alpha Stevenâ¦. The other one is Black Mountain. That Alpha is easy to remember.. his Luna is my best friend! Theyâre Louis and Katherine!â
Helena nods again⦠âWow! So these men⦠who have been sheltering at your pack.. left.. attacked these packs, and came back to be sheltered again?â Again, Laura nods âYes.. Shawn and I had to stay in the safe room when they were gone, because they left men behind, in case something went wrong and Michael was afraid they would kill us, if something went wrongâ Without missing a beat Helena shot straight into her next question âInteresting⦠where was Michael? He didnât stay with you and Shawn?â
Michael tried to slap Lauraâ¦and Cody broke his wrist. Laura glared at her mate âNo! He went with them for added insurance. Thatâs what he told me.â Helena snapped âYou do realize your mate had a hand in the murder of your best friend and her mate.. donât you!?â Shaking her head furiously.. âNo! NO! He wouldnât! YOU wouldnât! She was like my sister! She is our sonâs godmother! Tell me sheâs alive, Michael! Tell me this instant!â
Damon grabbed a sheet of paper coming off the printerâ¦. Reading âBlack Mountain Pack in Washington State⦠wiped out. Alpha Louis Williams⦠his mate and two children⦠found slaughtered in Alphaâs quarters. Women and children murdered where they tried to run to safe housesâ¦. Green Ridge pack decimated. Seventeen survivors sought refuge at Red Moon Pack in Colorado⦠the Luna Melissaâs home pack. The Alpha and 98 men killed. 45 of which were warriors.â
Laura began to weep, hysterically. Blake looked at Michael⦠âThis is going to go one of two ways⦠You tell me everything⦠absolutely everything you know, I will make your death quick and painless. That is option One. Option Two⦠I take everything you knowâ¦through the most painful way possible. I will bring you to the brink of deathâ¦daily⦠have my mate heal you enough to do it all over againâ¦until I think youâve told me all you know⦠then, I will kill you⦠in the worst possible way! Whatâs it going to be?â
He jumps up and screams âFuck You! Fuck you all! I will be rescued and you will all die!â Damon choked him out and threw him at Marcus⦠telling him to lock him back up. Alexis says âWell! That was entertaining as hell! Aunt Helena? Can we go find my gown this afternoon instead?â And everyone laughed.
The ladies went shopping and we were outside at the training field for the head warrior challenges. Matthew is dominating. The man has moves.. strength, agility.. enough aggression to instill doubt. Just exactly what a head warrior needs to be!
Cody asks Blake âWhat are we going to do with this rogue situation? This canât go on! Theyâre destroying packs around this continent! Do we go to the king? File a grievance with the monarchy?â Blake shakes his head âAfter the Luna ceremonyâ¦.we will decide. There will be 13 Alphas here.. including myself.. I want to be able to present them with this evidence. Give them proof positive this is happening. Then my brother, we are going hunting!â Damon yells âAlpha! Your up! Against none other thanâ¦. Matthewâ and we all laughed!
Matthew was able to go four rounds with Blake! The Alpha smiled and told him âWell Done! Pack Sterling Moon! Your new Head Warrior! His ascension ceremony is on Friday! Now! Letâs go torture some rogues!â And all four men laughed!
Walking into the cells.. all four men were laughing and joking around⦠Blake stopped at Michaelâs cell âHello scumbag! Sure hope all this was worth it! Anything you want to tell us?â Michael spit at him⦠and Blake tsks⦠âTsk tsk tsk⦠I thought youâd use your big boy words!â Michael snarls âFuck You!â Damon and Cody laughed âYou wanted big boy words! Unfortunately, they sounded like they were coming from a four year old!â
Walking to the next cell⦠they opened it and dragged the rogue out and to a different room, hanging him from chains on the ceiling. Blake grabbed a chair.. swinging it backwards.. he straddled it. Putting his arms on the back, he says â We do this the easy way.. or the hard way. Itâs your choice!â
The rogue laughed. âIâm not telling you shit! No matter what you do to me⦠Iâm not giving anything up!â Blake moved so fast, none of them saw him.. he snapped the manâs neck. Damon laughs âYou do not play well with others, Bro! Damn!â Blake looks over his shoulder at him⦠grinning evilly he says âOops?â And they all laughed while Cody yelled âNEXT, motherfuckers!â And they laughed harder!
