Thorne III
After his grandfather's lavish birthday party, they followed the preparations for their wedding. Old Thorne would not allow him to not marry Ayinah. Even the whole world already knew that he and Ayinah had a son; he did not want his Ayinah to be labeled a dirty woman that his great-grandson was born out of wedlock.
His grandpa really liked voting for Ayinah for his wife. He even said that as long as he lived, he would not allow anyone to oppress Ayinah. Even if it's from their family.
He always asked him if their wedding was ready.
He always replied that the plans were already in the wedding planner. They were just waiting for the fitting day for their outfits. They were just waiting for the schedule for the cakes and other tastings.
If his grandfather was excited for them to get married, he was excited even more so.
He wanted his child's mother to be tied to him.
His friends would laugh at him for suddenly getting married, wondering how they were doing. What about the women who are waiting for him to notice them?
"You just go; I'm happy with my future wife now. I've had many shortcomings with my bride and son, and I don't want to add more. I know you don't understand me right now, but you'll understand me when you experience true love," he replied to their invitation.
"You've changed; it seems like you've really lost your passion for women. Maybe a person's perspective really changes when they're truly in love," one of his friends, Lucas, replied.
This is his only friend who only likes to drink but doesn't like women. He and Adlen, his doctor friend. Unlike the four of them. He, David, and James. Can they blame themselves? Women are the ones who approach them voluntarily. What will they do? Stare at them?
This is also his only friend who can at least talk to him sensibly, like Alden; even the ones who are boring, when it comes to serious conversations, they can be relied on. He was able to talk about his problems with him.
He also mentioned the deal he had with Ayinah. He could see how sad she was about the incident.
"I'll expect you on my wedding day," he said.
"You can be sure we'll come; of course we also want to meet the woman who stole you from us," he jokingly replied.
She didn't steal him from them; she became his captive.
While they were preparing for their upcoming wedding, he would occasionally visit their business, where he first saw his future wife.
This contributed greatly to how he met an innocent woman who he never thought would capture him. And eventually become the future Mrs. Thorne Muller.
After two months of preparation. They are now ready to take a vow.
"How do I look?" Grandpa Thorne asked him while turning side to side in front of the full-length mirror.
"You're gorgeous, Grandpa, the original breed of handsomeness; only the age has added." He replied, smiling.
"It's a great honor to be chosen as best man in my grandson's wedding. I'm so happy. You have given me the best part of my remaining life here on earth," his grandpa said a little emotionally.
"You've been behind, in front, and beside me in all things, Grandpa. I'm a lucky one to have you," he replied.
That's very true because his parents were always busy while he was growing up.
He can't remember when the last time they spent marvelous time together was. Is there any beautiful moment to remember? He recalled if there is, but there's not.
And he will not be going to follow his father's footsteps.
He doesn't want his son to long for his affection. He wanted to be there for him anytime he wished. He wants a good bond with him like he had with his grandpa.
"Shall we go now, Grandpa?" he asked his grandpa.
"We shall. I can't believe that I will be marching as a groom's man," he said, smiling.
His grandpa seems never aged, at the age of a hundred five. He is strong. He walks without any stick.
When they went outside the house, the chauffeur was already waiting for them, and the moment they got inside, he drove them to the chapel where he would exchange vows with the woman he loves.
He noticed that all the rest of the family were already there when they arrived.
He holds his grandfather's hand and leads him near the altar where they are going to wait for the wedding coordinator's signal when they need to move at the altar.
They had been waiting for quite half an hour already. He checks his watch; it's supposed to start, but where is Ayinah?
He is so worried; what happened to Ayinah?
Why hasn't she arrived yet?
His eyes are fixed on the entrance door.
Anticipated his bride.
Their son suddenly squeals. The same time for the signal that the bride is ready. The connection between mother and child couldn't be denied, he thought.
The wedding march played, and there, entering at the front entrance, is his beautiful bride, accompanied by his now friend Andreas. She's like an angel coming from heaven, walking towards him. She's smiling. He can smile now when she smiled at him, taking his hand.
When they finally settled, the minister started.
"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the holy matrimony of Thorne III and Ayinah.
Heavenly Father, we gather to celebrate your gift of love and its presence among us. We rejoice that these two people have chosen to commit themselves to a life of loving faithfulness to one another. We praise you, Lord, for the ways you have touched our lives with loving relationships such as Thorne III and Ayinah's, and we give thanks for the special love and friendship you have put in their hearts. Renew within us an affectionate and loving spirit.
Enrich our lives with the gracious gift of your love so that we may embrace others with that same love. May our participation in this celebration of love and commitment give to us a new joy and responsiveness to the relationships that we cherish. In your loving arms, we pray, Amen. You may all be seated.
Marriage is a joyous occasion. It is connected in our thoughts with the charm of love, the warmth of home, and with all that is pleasant, as being one of the most important events of our lives. Its sacredness and unity are the most significant and binding covenant known in human relations. Thorne III and Ayinah, let me charge you both to remember that your future happiness is to be in mutual consideration, patience, kindness, confidence, and affection. It is the duty of each of you to find your greatest joy in the company of the other, to remember that your love pledged today must remain undivided for a lifetime.
If you are ready to assume the obligations and duties before God, as I have defined them, you will unite your hands and pledge your love and your lives to each other.
The minister faces him first and says to repeat after him.
I, Thorne III, take you, Ayinah, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow.
Then after he finishes reciting his vow, the minister faces Ayinah.
I, Ayinah, take you, Thorne III, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow.
By the power vested in me by the state of and American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
It is my pleasure to present Mr. and Mrs. Muller.
Finally, she is Mrs. Thorne Muller.
He could hear the nonstop clapping but he is so busy kissing his wife.
