Steven's dad comes along with my parents. It's good to see them, and also bad. I hugged Steven's dad as he gave me a warm smile. They sat together, while guests were talking, enjoying.
"Do your parents like to dance?", I asked Steven. He gave me a furious look. "Nooo, they hate it", he said and shook his head. That's the chance. I can push them to dance, and they'll start hating me. I patted his shoulder when I got that idea. I went to them and hold Steven's mom's hand.
"Let's dance", I said, smiling. She became nervous as I grabbed her in the middle of the crowds. "No Elle", she said trying to go. But I can't leave her. I hate doing this but I have to. I forced her to dance with me to the song which was playing.
"It's fun", she said being shy. Wait what? Is she enjoying it? I can't let it be. I grabbed Steven's dad also to dance with his wife. I pushed him to her, it was a bit rude though.
"Darling, let's dance?", He said and thrusts out his hand to Steven's mom. While the whole crowd shouted in joy. I..I don't know what to do. I again looked at them. Anna looked so pissed off and Steven was so surprised seeing his parents dance for the first time. The peoples started to dance. I went to Steven and Anna.
"Hey, can I dance with you?", A random boy comes and said to Anna. Her face suddenly brightens up. She hold the boy's hand and went.
"She never cared", Steven said sipping the wine. "Well, what she's supposed to do then? She's your girlfriend but she can't dance with you because of a shit which is probably me", I said and sighed.
"Don't say yourself a shit, you're the nicest girl I've ever met", he said rolling his eyes.
"Nicer than Anna?", I said with a serious tone.
"No, she's the best", he said as he smiled at Anna who's dancing.
"Wanna dance?", He said and extended his hands. I smiled and took his hand. He holds my waist and looked in my eyes. I have lost again, again in his dark eyes like ocean. We danced slowly. The song was, LOVE STORY. But unfortunately, our life doesn't match with this song. We don't have a fuckin love story and we'll never have. "change time", someone shouted. "Well bye!", He said as he twirled me around for another random guy to catch me.
A handsome, blue coloured eye who seems to be 30 holds my hand before I tripped. I looked at him. He's so handsome. "Hey, Elle", he said softly. looking into my eyes. "How'd you know my name?", I asked him.
"Everyone knows about you", he said and winked.
"But I don't know you", I said, waiting for him to say his name.
"Lee Flynn", he said and turned me around and pull him closer to me.
"Good, can I have your number?", I said.
"Why only number? You can have my heart too", he chuckled. Not gonna lie, he's cute and I think he's not taken.
"Change time", he whispered as he spinned me only to Steven catch me.
I grinned at him. "Hmm..What just happened? Miss?", He said and raised his eyebrows.
"That boy..Lee", I said and pressed my head on his chest, only to hide my face cause I'm blushing.
"Someone's blushing. Lee is my friend, want me to..Set you with him?", He said and laughed. I shook my head in a No. "Girl you blushing", he said pulling my chin. "I'm nottt", I said irritated. And then we both saw Anna doing crazy stuffs. She's dancing with Steven's mother putting her heels on her dress and she seems to be angry. Anna isn't letting her go, she keep dancing and messing the things up.
And then tripped along Steven's mom over an guy who was going with a wine on his hands. She messed up.
"Mommm!", Steven ran at her and pulled her up.
"This bit-", "auntie calm down, it's okay it was just a mistake", I said and tried to calm her and I pulled Anna also. She harshly removed my arm from her.
She went to the bathroom with anger of not being able to impress his parents. She put her both hands around the sink and looked at her in the mirror with exasperation. I patted on her shoulder but she removes my hand harshly.
"What's wrong with you?", Steven came and said being exhausted of her dramas.
"Nothing, I only get down in everyone's eyes", she said and pushed my right shoulder. "You did it purposely", she uttered pushing my left shoulder. "You're such a bitch, fuck you", she said and jostled me causing me to fall on the ground.
"Elle!", Steven ran to me and pulled my arms for to stand me on the ground.
"You only ruined it, why you're blaming her?", Steven yelled at her. There were noise so no one heard him. Her eyes teared up, like a baby.
"Fine, I'm going then.. stay with this fuckin asshole", she said and went away. Steven slided his hands through his hairs in anger.
'calm down", I said hugging him.
He hummed as we went at the crowd.
Steven and I were sitting when we noticed our parents shook their hands, smilling. Usually someone shakes their like that when they have some business deal with them or for their child's marriage. "Oh no!", Steven exclaimed looking at me.
"Did they just?", I said shockingly. There's nothing else we can do now.
We sat there being disappointed. The guest starting to leave before approaching us. I think it maybe his worse birthday. I ruined it only.
Lee came towards me all of a sudden.
"Bro!", Steven beamed as they both hugged. "Elle, can you give me your number?", He said hesitantly.
"Why not?", I said smiling and gave him my number. Steven gave me an side-eye.
Everyone left. It's just our parents.
I was standing with mom and dad and was about to leave.
"Auntie, can we have 5 mins?", He said to my mom. She nodded smiling. He grabbed me to his room.
"I.. don't know what to do Elle..", Steven said sitting at corner of the bed.
"Well, what makes you fall in love with her? She's not that good"
"She's just a bit rude but she's really good from inside, when I had no one..she only introduced me to the light of the world. We became friends like that and after that she proposed me..We were happy, she was going to be my wife but my parents doesn't like her for her behavior..But I really love her Elle"
"I understand Steven. I don't also want this marriage, no-one of us will be happy. This will be a burden to us", I knelt down on my knees and held his hand.
"I can do anything for you. We can't be together but I'm gonna never let you feel alone. I promise, you'll only marry Anna, not me".
"Thanks Elle, love you", he said and hugged me. I wish that, "love you" he said wasn't friendly. He didn't cried but I can't feel his soul crying against my shoulder.
"ELLEEEEE!", My mom shouted from the living room. We broke the hug and went downstairs. I left with my parents, taking alot of sadness from this party. Why does this happen at all the parties I go to?
I went home, took a shower and sat down to do office work. I have to work overtime tomorrow. My mother burst open the door and came to me and sat down.
"We have settled your and Steven's marriage next month!", She said excitingly
"Mom, I can't do this..We can't be happy, and it's so early"
" Shut up Elle. I also said these things before marrying your father. But look how happy we're now!"
Huh! I knew what the reality is. He cheats you everytime mom. Everytime, later Steven will also with his girlfriend.
"But-"
"Shut up and go to sleep", she said planting a kiss on my cheeks and left.
I don't have any damn words! My opinion is nothing to them. I'm marrying, but they doesn't give a shit about my decision. Whatever let's not think bout it or I'll end up getting dark circles. I quickly finished my work and go to sleep. Don't know what trouble is waiting for me next.
