I woke up and got ready for my office.
It's a important meeting in office today, so I can't be late. I was going down the stairs when I saw my mother putting some bread and a glass of milk on the table.
"Oh elle, have this before you go to office", she said and rolled her eyes. I must have eaten, but I would never accept food given to me unwillingly. I'll have something to eat after arriving office, I persuaded my mother and left for the office.
It was very stressful. Today I asked Steven to meet me at 8 p.m. I tried to finish my work as soon as possible. After attending the meeting I went to where Steven asked me to come. I'm working hard at the office. Otherwise the boss will say to me nonsense again.
It's a nice restaurant. I've heard a lot about this restaurant. It's quite popular. I saw Steven standing outside, maybe waiting for me. I went to him.
"Oh hey!", He said noticing me.
"So what's the thing for that you told me to come here? Is it any next plan?", I said. Maybe he done some plans of cancelling this shit. But his face looks all pale.
"Are you okay?", I said shaking his arms. He flinched as he nodded in a yes.
"I've already booked our seats", he says while walking. I nodded and smiled.
We went in, sat down and started eating. We ordered steaks and popular wines from this restaurant. How many times I told him what he wants to say, but no, the king will say it comfortably after eating. Anyways, we walked out of the restaurant after dinner and started talking.
"So what's the thing you want to tell me?", I said and smiled at him while he's being a little bit panicked.
"Let's do this marriage", he said in a serious way. What? He must be kidding! Wasn't it he only who says me that he can't do this marriage? I looked him shockingly.
"What?..But Steven..how? You.. you have a girlfriend?", I said as I frowned my eyebrows in irritation.
"So what? Listen, after marriage we'll just do our thing. Like I'll be with Anna and you'll be with the person you want to, but infront of people we'll act as couple!", He said, not even thinking bout it. I can't! I can't cheat on my husband, doesn't matter who he's or what he does. And I never have someone in my life.
"But Steven, I don't even have anyone? Who I'm gonna be with?
"Lee? You like him right?
"I don't like him as a man.. it's just he's good so.. I like him as a friend.. and after that party I didn't even talked with him"
He sighed and said, "our parents are too stubborn. And they'll never understand us. So if we get only married, we'll be happy! And-" I cut him and started walking. I can't tolerate it. I started walking in anger but he grabs my arms tightly.
I hissed in pain. "Steven.. let go of me", I said, trying to free my arms. But he had a tight grip on me.
"You have to", he shouted at me, making me feel afraid. I finally free my arms and started to walk. It's so cold. I'm randomly walking on streets, not even knowing where I'm or where I'm going. I felt so bad about his behavior. He can't force, nobody can. I'll prefer death but I can't do this marriage. I suddenly bumped into someone, causing me fell on the ground. He pulled me up from the ground. And it was Lee. I blinked at him for sometimes.
"Heyyy! Elle! What's up?", He beamed.
"Good", I responded. But I think he noticed my sorrow.
I told him everything while walking with him.
"I know right. Even when I got the news that you and Steven are dating..I thought what about his girlfriend? Maybe he left her. But then I saw Anna again on his birthday. And I was like how you're managing these all? And after all this he's asking for the marriage?", Lee said in anger. Lee is Steven's childhood and college friend. And now he's Vice Chairman of his successful company. He's so good but not like my type. He stopped walking and turned towards me, so as I.
"Tell him, you don't want this", he said.
"I told him, but-" someone suddenly calls my name. I turned around and see Steven. He comes closer to us and pushed Lee away. I looked him being shocked.
"You brat!", He shouted. Lee didn't said anything. He keep standing there. I don't think they've that much closeness between them. He seized my hand.
"Let me drop to your-"
"No need, you jerk. I've legs and money, I can go by myself", I said as i took a car and left. I'm now fade up of these all dramas. I need to talk to mom and dad.
I went in my house and threw my purse at the sofa roughly. My mom looked at me who was working in kitchen.
"What?", She said and raised her eyebrows.
"I'm fuckin fade of this. How many Times I'll say that I can't do this marriage? Have you guys got ears?", I said. I'm feeling hot even it's cold.
She have no expression on her face.
And then she blurted out the truth.
"If you won't do this, the business deal will be-", she paused as soon as she realised that what she's saying. I was so shocked.
"So that's the reason. You guys are fucking using me! Why? Because I didn't agreed to you?", I raised my voice. My father came out of his room and stared at me.
"Oh there he's! You said that I'm your princess? But now you're behaving with me like I'm priceless shit? You guys are just throwing me away right? This business deal is more important than me? Why father? Am I not your daughter? Yes maybe I'm. But I think my mom is different-", I paused because I got a hard slap in my mouth from my father. It hurts! No one ever beaten me. And now they're torturing me like I'm a stuffed toy! My eyes got heavy. My heart started to sting.
"You bitch! Shut the fuck up! You're going to do this shit.. you're actually no more to me. I'm tired of seeing your face!", He yelled at me.
I looked at him with my teary eyes. This hurted me alot. I ran to my room. I started to cry hard. I put my hand on my heart, cause it's paining. I can't take it!
My mom opened the door and came in.
"You shouldn't say like that to your father!", She said.
"Father? What father? If I'm no one to him he's not also! Just..", I paused, "Fuck you GUYS", I said. I know I said a big thing. My father came in my room as soon as he heard that.
"You need some beating, your 27 years bitch", he said.
"You don't need to beat me. I'll only kill myself", I said as I stared to find something like knife. And then I found pen. I grabbed it and moved it closer to my nerves of my hands.
"Look, I'm going to insert this pen in my nerves", I said, showing them the pen I'm holding. The fact hurted me that they didn't even tried to stop me. I closed my eye and was about to put it on my nerves but someone hold my hand. I opened my eyes and saw him. Steven. I widened my eyes. He literally pulled me to downstairs. He put his hands around my shoulder. He stared to sweat.
"What the fuck you were going? Hm? Were you doing this for me?", He frightened.
"I-", he hugged me all of a sudden.
"Sorry.. I'm really sorry!", He said. I can't but hugging him back. I don't know why everytime, I wanna touch him forgetting everything.
"They did it for the business. But they won't cancel it", he said as he broke the hug. My eye is still filled with tears. "So?", I said looking straight into his eyes.
"So what? Let's get married. And I'll make you happy no matter what! I'll never let you feel that you're a burden", he said stroking my hairs. I hugged him again. I can't help but agree with him. He went. My parents also went to their rooms. And I.. started thinking about it that, marrying him won't be bad. We both will live our own life. I said as I fell asleep.
