Ashley's pov
"You kids go upstairs while I make dinner," Mrs Martinez says.
"Is there anything I can do to help Mrs Martinez? I love cooking!" I smile.
"No its alright and you can call me Ella," She says.
"No really I would love to help."
"It's okay, you can help some other time. I'm sure you would love to meet Aubrey."
"Who is Aubrey?" I ask.
"Me!" A small girl appears out of nowhere and crashes into me, hugging me tightly.
I'm guessing she is Aaron's little sister.
"Aww hi!" I greet and pick her up.
"Hi! What is your name?" She asks with a smile which shows the two gaps in her front teeth.
Adorable.
"I'm Ashley, Aaron's girlfriend."
"Ooo Teddy and Ashley sitting in a tree! K-i-s-s-i-n-g," She spells out.
Aaron and I both break into laughter and I plant a kiss on her cheek.
"Teddy is your nickname huh?" I ask looking at Aaron.
"Yes because he is like a bear," Aubrey says.
"You are so pretty," She remarks.
"Thank you! And you are so cute."
I put her down and we all head upstairs to Aarons room.
Aubrey goes away to her room to play with toys.
"If only you were as cute as your sister, man I'd have actually fallen for you," I tease.
"I'm not as cute as her because I'm cuter then her," He jokes.
"Haha nice joke!" I say to which he scoffs.
"I love my sister and my mother more then anything or anyone, they have always been loved me, for who I am."
I wish I had a family like him. Not to envy him at all, he deserves this, he is a really sweet guy.
"How old is she?" I ask.
"She is turning 7 next week. There will be a birthday party set for her, would you like to come?"
"Sure!" I say.
After a few minutes Aubrey comes running into Aaron's room.
"Ashley! Look what I made you and Teddy!" She says handing me a drawing.
The drawing consists of a box house and the corner sun, two stick figures with their hands connected one with short hair which I'm guessing a boy and the other long wavy hair. The figures are labelled 'Teddy' for the boy and 'Ashley' for the girl.
This is probably one of the cutest things ever.
I show the drawing to Aaron and we both are amazed at how cute it is.
"This is a great piece of art." I compliment.
"I have to agree, I need to stick this in my locker." Aaron says.
He wants a drawing of me and him stuck on his locker?
For some odd reason it made me blush although I'm sure that he won't actually stick it.
He will probably throw it away.
"Aw Ashley's blushing." Aubrey says.
"Falling for me already?" Aaron whispers in my ear.
"I- um no." I struggle to say.
Aaron laughs at my stutter and shakes his head.
"Wait, Teddy, is this the Ashley you have been talking about since-"
"Whaaat? No." Aaron says.
This is the second time something like this has happened.
I choose to ignore it as Ella calls out for dinner.
We all jog down quickly and settle down.
I decide to help Ella finish setting up the table and head to the kitchen.
"Oh hey Ashley, anything I can assist you with?" She asks.
"No actually i am here because I thought maybe I could help you?" I ask.
"Sure, just take these plates to the table and divide them around." She hands ne four plates.
I nod and take them to the table, placing one at each seat.
I sit down beside Aaron and Aubrey sits across Aaron, Ella at the head.
"Aaron told me you love Pepper Steak so I thought I'd make you some," She smiles.
How does he know?
"Thank you so much, and yes I love Pepper Steak," I smile. "How did you know?" I whisper to Aaron.
"Oh um Tyler mentioned it once."
"Oh okay."
I serve myself a small portion which is enough for me and wait for everyone else to serve themselves before starting to eat.
Once I see everyone else has started eating I start as well.
Oh my god, the food is delicious!
I haven't had food as good as this since well my parents became alcoholics.
Homemade food has got to be the best.
"Ella, I just have to say, this food is amazing!" I compliment.
Aaron and Aubrey nod in agreement.
"Thank you so much, at least someone appreciates my cooking." She says looking at Aaron which causes me to laugh.
"Mom, you know I always compliment you and that I love your food," He defends himself.
"Yeah yeah, well Ashley, how did you two meet?" Ella asks.
"Through Tyler, it's a long story but a funny one," I respond.
"Please do enlighten me," Ella says.
"Maybe next time mom," Aaron says clearly embarrassed.
I chuckle as I shake my head.
This boy.
Once we are done eating, I help Ella clean up the table and have casual small talk with her.
"How about we do this again, maybe next time with your parents?" Ella asks.
My eyes widen in response.
"No, sorry I mean they can't really because um.." I think of an excuse.
Ella notices my nervousness and says, "It's okay dear, I understand."
I give out a breathless laugh silently thanking her for being so understanding.
When we are done cleaning up, I head up to Aaron's room and see him tickling Aubrey while she laughs hysterically.
"Ashley... help!" She manages to say in between laughter.
I shake my head while laughing at them.
Aubrey finally escapes and runs behind me like I'm a shield.
"Okay well Aaron, I think I'll get going," I say.
"What? Noooo don't gooooo!" Aubrey begs.
"Yeah you can stay over tonight and we could watch a movie or something," Aaron says.
"We have school tomorrow," i say.
"Ill wake you up early so you can go get ready?" He asks.
"Ill stay for a movie but then I'll go home." I say.
"Okay, you and Aubrey go to the movie room and I'll bring some snacks," Aaron says.
I nod and follow Aubrey out of the room.
Aaron's Pov.
I jog downstairs and into the kitchen and find my mom putting away the leftovers in the fridge.
"Hey mom, do we have popcorn?" I ask.
"Yeah it's in the top cabinet over there." She says pointing to a cabinet.
"Thanks mom. Oh did you get your results?" I ask, placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Yes, unfortunately I still have it and chemo starts soon." She says.
Those words make my heart clench.
I need to be strong for her but I just can't, the thought of her losing to cancer makes me wanna kill myself.
She had cancer a few years ago but she beat it and now it has returned.
It's the main reason why I'm fake dating Ashley, to make her wish come true.
"Yeah.. it's okay though, I've beat it once I can beat it again. Oh and I was asking you this earlier but you rudely cut me off but is that the same Ashley as the one you have been talking about?" She asks.
I drop my head in embarrassment to which she let's out a laugh, a beautiful laugh.
"Yes." I say embarrassed.
"Oh my, you have been dreaming of dating her since you were little, I guess both our dreams came true. She is such a sweetheart."
"She really is," I say sadly.
"Why do you seem upset about it?"
"Oh no nothing," I smile.
Unfortunately I can't do anything about my stupid little crush on her as she has eyes on Tyler.
I want her so bad I mean she is the only girl who doesn't really care about looks, money, but rather personality. She is so innocent and its mainly what attracts me to her.
And that's why I've kept my distance all these years, so i could avoid my feelings but it didn't work.
And now I'm dating her.
I wish it was true. But for her sake I'll not let my feelings get involved in this.
I shake my thoughts off and run upstairs to the movie room.
I enter and see 'Rapunzel' playing.
"Who is ready for some snacks!" I say.
"Me!" Both Aubrey and Ashley say simultaneously.

It's now 11 PM and both Ashley and Aubrey are asleep.
Ashley though, is asleep with her head on my lap.
I gently lift it and place it on a pillow.
The movie just ended so I turn the movie off and throw away all the wrappers in the dustbin.
I pick Aubrey up and carry her to her room. I place her on her bed, tuck her in and give her a kiss on her forehead.
I return to the movie room and pick Ashley up, bridal style and take her to my room.
She wanted to go home but she fell asleep, too bad.
She looks so peaceful asleep but still has that smile of hers plastered on her face.
I place her gently on my bed and cover her with a sheet.
I'm about to leave the room to go sleep on the couch but she grabs my hand and pulls me gently back.
"Stay," She says lowly.
I don't think she knows who she is talking to but I still stay.
I lie down beside her, not letting go of her hand.
This is so wrong but feels so right.

Yalll we got Aaron's pov!!! I hope you liked his pov and I feel so sad for Ella. She is so sweet and the mother Ashley deserves. And Aubrey is just a cutie.
