Ashley's Pov
A loud ringing wakes me up from my very nice sleep.
Without checking the Caller ID I pick the call up but nothing.
Dead silence.
I check the ID and its Kylee.
"Hello? Kylee? What's wrong? It's almost 12 AM," I say.
And then after a moment of silence.
"Happy birthday Ash!! I love you so much and i hope i can make your birthday better. I can't believe you're eighteen already. My baby grew up so fast," She says with a fake sob.
I didn't even know it was my birthday.
Then suddenly my whole phone starts blowing up and I'm shocked.
Shocked that people remembered my birthday.
"Thank you so much Keels, I love you so much," I say.
"Of course my love. Ill pick you up tomorrow at 8, I'm taking you out then throwing you a party," She says.
"You don't have to, but a party does sound pretty great."
"Sounds good babes. I can't believe you turned eighteen without me!" She whines.
I chuckle and respond, "Alright, bye my love, ill see you tomorrow."
I start going through my text messages.
I got a message from Tyler, Xavier, Jake, Ella, a few of my other friends, even Nick but not Aaron..
I keep refreshing my phone frantically but no, nothing.
Ugh why am I so bothered that he didn't wish me?
His own mother did, but not him.
This whole week went by really quickly.
My relationship with Tyler has gotten better, we spend a lot of time together which is good.
On the other hand Aaron seems to be ignoring me.
He has been hanging out with Kailani alot.
I sigh and fall back asleep, deciding to reply the messages tomorrow.

The next morning I wake up really early and by six I'm already done showering.
I go to my closet to pick out my outfit. Since I'm not really going anywhere right now, I decide on wearing baggy jeans with a really cute crop top.
Over the past couple of days I tried rearranging my room and now it actually looks pretty alright.
I put on some rings and two necklaces with matching earrings.
My ear is full as I have piercings everywhere.
I look into the mirror and I almost can't recognise myself.
I did my hair in loose curls which frame my face up perfectly and put on some light make up.
I see the clock and notice I'm getting late so I rush downstairs but I'm stopped with a very unusual sight.
Both my parents are at the table eating.. breakfast?
My father doesn't dare look me in the eye but my mother.
"Oh honey, happy birthday." She says shocking me to my core.
I nod in confusion but decide to walk out, not wanting to deal with whatever was going on.
Before I even get the chance to properly close the door,I'm engulfed in a tight hug I know too well off.
"Happy birthday to the best friend to ever exist!!!" She says not letting go of me.
"Thank you so much Keels," I say hugging her back.
We pull away and I shut the door completely before I find her eyes wavering my body.
"You look amazing baby," She complements and i thank her.
"Shall we go?" She asks.
"Yes, we shall."

My plans for today are shopping and getting breakfast with Kylee, going on a date with Tyler for lunch, meeting up with some of my friends and then the party tonight.
We are currently at the mall, searching for an outfit for tonight's party.
I've tried on more than a dozen so far and none of them flatter me.
My eyes catches a long black dress. It's mostly net and has a slit on my left leg with only one sleeve.
I put it on and look myself in the mirror.
Oh my god.
I am in love with this dress.
It flatters me and makes me look amazing.
It looks good on my skin and I would be lying if i said this wasn't the one.
I leave the dressing room and as soon as Kylee sees me she starts squeeling.
"Oh my gosh! You look so beautiful in this. You have to get it!" She says excitingly.
"Yeah, I love it too. How much is it?" I ask.
"Okay, I'll be right back. Let me go and ask one of the workers."
I silently adore myself while I wait for her to return.
"Hey, the price is 1200$," She says coming back.
My smile drops.
"You know I can't afford that Keels, it's too much. My price budget is 500$," I say sighing.
"It's alright, I can help you pay for it, come on," She says.
"No its alright, we will just keep looking."
After a while I find another dress, which reaches me to my knees this time.
It's a simple black dress which I'm sure almost everyone would wear.
Kylee thinks that too.
"It's okay, Kylee, maybe next time," I say with a smile.
"I know but next time you won't be turning eighteen. Such a big moment comes one in your lifetime Ash," She says.
"It's okay. I'm starving now can we go get some breakfast?" I ask her with a smile.
"You bet."
We pay for the dress and leave.
We go to a small restaurant for breakfast which is very famous in our school.
You would normally find cliques and groups of students hanging out here because it's a kind of restaurant that's made for adult teenagers.
We sit in our normal booth and order ice cream waffles with warm coffee.
Just as we are about to dig into our food, the bell chimes and my heart skips a beat.

Okay i really hate the way I worded this whole chapter. It's awful but I've already spent too long on it so instead I'll try making the next chapter better.
