KARA

I abruptly woke up when I felt something soft hit my face. I was being suffocated until I pushed the object away and opened my eyes.

“Morning.” Charlie grinned widely, standing a few inches away from my face. My annoying brother had terrible hair and was wearing a Pokémon T-shirt. I could tell he had just woken up as well.

“I don’t remember you being this annoying,” I huffed, and sat up, stretching my stiff back.

Charlie laughed before sitting down at the edge of my small, fluffy bed. “How was last night?” he questioned, staring curiously.

My mouth parted in surprise as I remembered the night. Charlie couldn’t find out what happened.

Suppressing a blush, I shrugged. “It was okay, I guess.” Charlie grinned before hitting me in the face again, then proceeded to bolt out of my room while laughing like a maniac.

Before I could chase after him, my phone beeped, catching my attention. I grabbed it from my nightstand and unlocked it, opening a new text message.

Jess Sanchez

I’m demanding a girls’ night tonight! So don’t make any plans!! (:<

My thumbs typed quickly as I sent a reply and lay back down on my bed. We didn’t leave until two in the morning, but I spent the entire night with Jason.

I expected us to go our separate ways after that extremely fucking hot moment in the home library, but instead he snuck me out the window and we sat on the roof talking about aliens.

Jason seemed very convinced that they’re disguised as humans. I laughed at how serious he was about it. He was actually decent to talk to when he wasn’t making sexual innuendos every other second.

My eyes were groggy and slightly puffy from lack of sleep. Jess had kept me up until four—on the phone—talking nonstop about Quintin and how he was an amazing kisser.

I glanced at the clock, and the bold digital numbers told me it was a little past ten.

My hair was a tangled mess, and my stomach was aching for food, so I made my way into the kitchen, hoping to satisfy my stomach.

“You’re making me food, you asshole.” I rubbed my eyes as I walked in.

The cool breeze from downstairs brushed against my exposed skin. It was cold, but I was too lazy to change out of my shorts. Plus, they were cute.

A deep chuckle caused my ears to perk. “Don’t you know how to cook, kitten?” I dropped my hands and screamed when I saw Jason sitting at my counter, eating a bowl of cereal.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” My mouth was slightly ajar, and I stood, baffled that he was actually sitting in my kitchen.

Did I bring him home and forget? No. I remember Milo getting into his car. They drove off together.

The blond grinned, causing a little food to fall out of his mouth.

“Kara! Are you okay?” Charlie ran into the room with his metal baseball bat and searched around the room frantically. When he realized there was no threat, his body relaxed.

“What is he doing here?” I pointed to Jason, whose hair was sticking out everywhere. He ignored me and spooned another bite into his mouth, crunching loudly.

“I invited him over to play basketball. I have friends, you know.” Charlie glared. My eyes rolled as I made my way over to the bread and popped two slices into the toaster.

“Stop eating like a pig.” My eyes narrowed at the mess Jason was creating on our kitchen counter. Charlie walked over and sat down beside Jason, who peeked at me from the corner of his eye.

“Don’t look at her,” Charlie said in a monotone. Jason laughed before looking everywhere in the room to avoid looking at me.

A loud pop caused me to jump, reminding me I made toast. I added peanut butter while ignoring the two annoying boys before migrating to the living room.

Jason plopped down next to me a few minutes later. His blue eyes glanced at the TV and he let out a small snort. “~Supernatural~? Those guys are dumb.”

My fist curled. I turned to glare at him, but instead realized how close we were. “No, they’re not.” My grumpiness was peaking. I was sleep-deprived and felt like a cranky bitch.

“There’s no such thing as ghosts.” Jason’s thigh was pressed against my own. His left arm wrapped against the back of the couch, inches away from my head. I was consumed by his scent.

Ignoring the heat between my legs, I let out a loud laugh, “Okay, one, let me remind you it’s a TV show, and two, says the guy who believes in aliens.”

“They’re real,” Jason protested while lying back on the couch. “For all you know, I could be one.” His legs were spread apart. I wanted to be in his lap, wrapped in his arms.

“I don’t think an alien, a smart one at least, would say that. It would blow his cover.” Jason rolled his eyes before grabbing the piece of toast I had left on my plate and devouring it.

“Make yourself at home,” I bitterly commented. Our bodies were nearly pressing against each other, and I was enjoying every bit of it.

“Don’t mind if I do,” Jason whispered, finally wrapping the arm that lay on the couch around me. His hand hung off my shoulder, and his right hand landed on my knee.

His mouth moved next to my ear. “You know,” Jason began, trailing his fingers up my thigh, “I was thinking about you all night.” His deep voice caused wetness to pool immediately.

My thighs squeezed together, and I anxiously watched his fingers dance across my skin. “Yeah?” The words were barely audible.

“I was thinking about how intoxicating you are.” Jason’s finger reached the bottom of my shorts, which were scrunched up near my hips. “And all the different ways I’d love to fuck you.”

My heart raced as his fingers slipped underneath and made their way to my clit.

A soft moan left my mouth when his fingers landed on my sensitive clit, slowly applying pressure in circles. My legs instinctively spread, and I slumped against his chest, letting him take control.

Jason moved the arm around my shoulder to around my waist and gripped me tightly, holding me in place.

“Lift your leg,” Jason ordered, and I put my left foot up on the couch. My right leg hooked over his thigh. My legs were spread, giving him perfect access to my entrance.

His fingers continued rubbing circles against my clit, and I arched my back against his chest.

“More,” I quietly moaned, aching for more of his touch. My hips lifted, wanting more pressure, more touch, anything. It just felt so fucking good—I wanted more.

Jason pulled his hand away, and I almost whimpered. But then he put his hand down the front of my shorts, giving him better access.

I bit my lip, holding in a moan as he entered one long finger, curling perfectly against my walls. “My brother.” I stiffened, not wanting to get caught.

That would be the most mortifying moment of my entire life.

“He’s showering.” Jason’s arm around my waist held me tighter, and he inserted another finger. This time, my moan escaped.

My back arched as his long fingers pumped in and out of me, and his palm rubbed against my clit.

The pressure deep inside me was building, craving more. Jason’s fingers felt so fucking good—it made me insanely fucking horny.

Between moans, I reached beside me and lightly palmed his hard cock through his sweatpants. My hand applied pressure, barely thinking as my mind began to cloud, taken over by pleasure.

Jason let out a groan, and his lips pressed against my neck, sucking lightly. The sensation was overwhelming, and I inadvertently moaned louder.

Jason removed the arm around my waist and brought his hand up to my mouth, covering it as he pumped faster and faster.

My hips rocked against his fingers as my climax came, sending waves of pleasure rippling throughout my body.

I bit down against Jason’s hand as the euphoria took over, and I screamed against it in pleasure.

When my body slumped, Jason pulled his hand out from my shorts and removed his hand from my mouth.

My chest heaved up and down as I regained my breath. Stars covered my vision as I tried to compose myself.

I didn’t feel like a cranky bitch anymore.

We both jumped when my phone rang loudly on the coffee table. My hand reached for it, but Jason grabbed my phone before I could—answering it.

“Hi, thank you for calling Adult Lines After Dark. Press one for info, two for our new exotic section, and three for our best—” The person on the other line cut him off.

My jaw dropped in shock before I attacked him. “Give me my phone!” I snapped while reaching for my device.

He turned the other way so his back was facing me. I pulled at his shirt, attempting to turn him around.

“Kara? Ah, yes, sorry—I’m used to calling her by her stage name.” Jason turned to stare at me, blue eyes full of trouble.

“Her stage name is Kinky Kitty.” The asshole smirked when my eyes widened, and my jaw practically hit the floor.

“You asshole.” I lunged toward him, but he covered my mouth with his hand and stepped forward so our fronts were touching. If I weren’t so pissed off, I might’ve enjoyed it.

“Tonight?” I saw him raise an eyebrow in amusement before he stared at me and smirked again. “Sorry, make an appointment for tomorrow. She’s mine tonight.”

I growled and slapped his hand away, causing him to laugh. “Give it to me.” I punched his arm, but he held the phone behind him. “Jason, I swear to—”

“What’re you going to do, kitten?” he teased, and continued to stare at me in amusement.

My eyelashes batted as I stepped closer to him, my hand landing on his cock. Jason’s eyes darkened, and he momentarily forgot about my phone. I traced his print slowly, causing him to moan.

“Want to find out?” I whispered seductively. Jason nodded, watching me.

I grinned before flicking his dick. Jason instantly dropped to the ground, letting go of my phone in the process. I lunged for it and quickly held it to my ear.

“Hello?” I breathed.

Layla’s laughter filled my ear, which made me relax. “I didn’t interrupt anything, did I?” I could practically hear her wiggling her eyebrows.

“You saved me.” My breath came out ragged from huffing and puffing in an attempt to fight Jason for my phone. “So what’s up?”

I glanced at Jason, who was still on the ground groaning in pain. I bit my lip to hold back my laughter and turned the other way.

“I’m picking you up in an hour, so get ready,” Layla explained quickly. I could hear shuffling in the background. I knew she was probably attempting to clean her room.

“You don’t have to. I’ll take Charlie’s car.” My feet padded against the wooden floor as I took a few steps away from Jason.

“Are you sure?” Layla questioned, sounding worried.

“Yeah. I have to shower, finish some chores, and get ready. That’s going to take more than an hour,” I explained.

Movement from behind me caused me to turn around. Jason was standing up again, the pain diminished. Ignoring him, I turned away.

“All right, I’ll text you.” Layla said bye, and we hung up. I walked back toward the couch and threw my phone onto it. It landed with a soft thud.

I yelped in pain when I felt a smack across my ass. My hands instinctively covered my ass, and I turned around to find Jason grinning mischievously. “That hurt,” I growled, walking toward him.

“We’re even,” Jason hissed, trying to back away from me. Just as I reached him, Jason lost his balance, grabbing me as he fell backward.

My legs were straddling him, and my knees ached from the impact on the hardwood floor.

“What the fuck?” Charlie walked into the room while drying his hair with a towel.

“We tripped,” Jason tried explaining. My eyes closed in disbelief. At least he hadn’t walked in on us earlier. This I could tolerate.

My brother stood there staring at the two of us like we were freaks.

“Okay…” He stretched out the word. “Kara, can you stop straddling him, and Jason, can you stop enjoying it?”

I grimaced as I got off of him. “Did you have to walk into the room?” Jason muttered to Charlie.

“Dude, that’s my sister.” Charlie shuddered and walked out of the room.

“You can straddle me tonight.” Jason’s blue eyes burned into me as he brushed himself off before walking over to the couch and sitting down.

I scoffed and walked toward the stairs.

***

I called out for my brother as I descended the stairs. My long brown hair was still damp, leaving droplets on the back of my black T-shirt.

“What?” was his muffled reply. I looked in the kitchen and saw Charlie and Jason, along with Quintin now, sitting at the counter eating pizza rolls.

“Hey, Kara,” Quintin greeted me, and I gave him a wave. The three of them sat on their phones. Jason’s phone was blaring a sports clip. Why did guys always blare their volume?

“I’m leaving now.” I walked over to the counter and grabbed Charlie’s keys. My backpack hung on my shoulders, stuffed with snacks and clothing.

“Where are you going?” Charlie asked, raising an eyebrow. Jason glanced up from his phone, waiting for my response.

“To my shift at the strip club,” I joked while grinning wickedly. My brother simply rolled his eyes at my immaturity, unfazed.

“Well”—Jason sat up straighter—“looks like I found my plans for the day.” He smirked, ignoring the glares from Charlie and me.

Jason and I stared at each other, knowing fully that we’d both enjoy that. I looked back at Charlie, giving him a serious answer. “I’m spending the night at Layla’s.”

Charlie smiled. “Haven’t seen her in a while, or Jess.” The four of us and Liam grew up together.

Charlie was like a big brother to them, even though Jess and Layla had had a crush on him at some point in their lives.

“They want to come and see you soon. I forgot to mention that.” I smiled sheepishly at my older brother, who was giving me a disapproving stare. “Either way, I’m sure Quintin can fill you in.”

Jason and I chuckled at him while Charlie just looked confused.

“Yeah, tell him, Quintin.” Jason smirked at his best friend. Quintin smiled, looking timid, but shook his head at us.

“I’ll see you guys later.” I walked past them to the front door.

“I work later until ten. Be safe.”

That explained why Jason and Quintin were over so early in the day. I walked out of the house and to Charlie’s Jeep.

I threw my red duffel bag in the passenger seat and put on my seat belt before backing out of my driveway.

Twenty minutes later, I was at Layla’s house with Jess, who had brought a bag of popcorn I was happily munching on. “Guess who’s at my house,” I said through a mouthful.

Layla smirked at our dark-haired friend, already knowing the answer. Jess was glancing at the two of us with a mouthful of chips, curiously waiting for our answer.

“Who?” Jess asked, sending pieces of chips flying everywhere while she talked.

“Jason and Quintin.” Jess’s mouth dropped open in surprise.

“We should’ve had the sleepover at your house!” Jess threw chips at me. I smacked them away midair.

I snorted. “Yeah, because I want to spend my Saturday with Jason and Charlie.”

“You could’ve fooled me.” Layla smirked, and I groaned in annoyance. My ass hurt the entire time I showered from the solid smack Jason had left. There was even a hand mark.

“What happened?” Jess asked with wide brown eyes. I sat silently as Layla told her the whole story. Jess fell off the couch laughing. “Kinky Kitty?”

“Shut up,” I muttered in embarrassment. My heart raced the entire time Jason was on the phone. I was just happy it was Layla and not someone else, like my mom.

“I still can’t believe you and Jason are actually friends.” Jess’s laughter died down, and she was more serious now.

Layla nodded next to her while chewing popcorn. “Who knew it was the duo we’ve needed in our lives?”

My shoulders shrugged as I took some chips from the bag Jess held. “I think we’re friends with benefits.” The words came out before I could stop myself.

Layla’s eyes widened. “What aren’t you telling us?” Both of my friends stared at me in anticipation. My shoulders sagged, and I gave in. I needed to tell someone.

Jess and Layla screamed in delight as I caught them up with everything that’s happened between Jason and me.

“Good thing I didn’t call sooner.” Layla fell back laughing. “Holy shit, Kara. I would’ve never expected this side of you.” Layla wiggled her eyebrows.

“Honestly, me too. I never felt this way with Adam. But every time I’m around Jason, I just want to do anything and everything with him. It’s like I can’t control my hormones.”

I grabbed a pillow from Layla’s bed and groaned into it, feeling flustered.

“It’s normal. Just go with the flow,” Jess added. Layla nodded in agreement. “Do you like him, though?” Jess popped the big question.

I bit my lip, concentrating on Jason. “Fuck.” My lips formed a frown, coming to the obvious conclusion. Jess and Layla shared a glance before both grinned at me. “That’s a bad thing,” I whispered.

“No, it’s not.” Layla threw a pillow at me. “I’m more than certain he likes you too.”

Jess viciously bobbed her head. “Quintin has even mentioned how different Jason has acted since he met you.” My heart swelled at her words.

“Not to mention how different you’ve acted since you met Jason too.” My friends smirked at me.

“God, I feel like a proud mom.” Layla stared at me, pretending to fan her watery eyes. “Kara and Jason are so hot.”

My cheeks flushed. I didn’t want to feel this way about Jason, especially if he was just hanging around me because of what we did together.

“I’m surprised Jason has such a dominant side,” Jess mused. “Especially when he just seems like a goofy asshole.” We all laughed. I’ve enjoyed both sides of him.

“Never judge a book by its cover.” I shrugged, remembering the night I met Jason.

“Yeah, I mean Jess turned out not to be a vampire.” Laughter erupted out of me mid-sentence, and Layla joined while Jess huffed in annoyance.

“Don’t get me started on you.” Jess finally spoke up after a minute of Layla and me cackling.

We both immediately stopped to look at her. “Remember the time you sang out ‘Fuck You’ to our theater teacher during our eighth-grade play?”

My mouth formed into an O as I remembered the faint memory. Jess and I always teased Layla for being a Goody Two-shoes and that she always sucked up to teachers to try to get a better grade.

There was one teacher in particular, Mrs. Augwick, who wasn’t fond of Layla. Layla tried her best to get on her good side for half the year.

One day, Layla finally had it when Mrs. Augwick didn’t give her the lead in our play. We all knew Layla deserved it. Layla surprised us all by cussing at Mrs. Augwick in front of half the school.

“That bitch deserved it,” Layla mumbled bitterly. The three of us laughed and began bringing up all the crazy adventures we’d had together since elementary school.

I had the best friends I could ever ask for.
