Chapter 1097
Zovier blurted out, âDid I really mess up? Even if I did, she shouldnât have left me like thatâ
Iris had no clue what Zavier was talking about. She didnât dare to respond, just stood there silently, wondering if her life would end up like her sisterâs.
Gone so young? She didnât know if she could change her destiny through hard work.
Just as she was confused about her future, Zavier suddenly turned to her, his eyes sharp as if he was going to eat her alive, Tim asking you, are you deaf or just
mute?â
Ins was scared by his anger, but she found the courage to fight back, âDid you treat my sister the same way?â
Her words hit Zavier where it hurt the most. He looked at Iris, âYou also want to die?â
Ins said. âWhy do you always threaten people? Did you really kill my sister? She didnât commit suicide?â
Zavier walked towards Ins, grabbing her throat, âWere you just pretending to be submissive? Is the Blite family playing me again? If you want to know if your sister killed herself, I can let you ask her yourselfâ
With his strong grip, Ins started to turn red and struggle for breath âJust because you look like Skyler, doesnât mean you can talk to me any way you want. Your sister never dared to talk to me like this. Youâre asking for trouble!â Zavier said.
Ins throat was being choked. She couldnât breathe, let alone speak. As her face turned from red to purple, then from purple to white, her struggling got weaker, and Zavier finally let her go, âGot a taste of death, did you?â
Lack of oxygen made Insâ mind foggy, she couldnât think at all, but she could still feel Zavierâs terror. More accurately, she just realized how terrifying Zavier really was She had heard about it before, but she never believed it until she saw it with her own eyes.
After a while, Iris finally came back from the brink of death, and she stared at Zavier with fear in her eyes.
This look pained Zavier. It was like the look Skyler gave him.
When was that? He couldnât remember
Why would his wife look at him with fear? He couldnât remember, but the dead memories started to attack him. As if reminding him that he was a villain.
Was he a villain?
Every time he was unhappy, he took it out on people around him, if not a villain then what? He laughed again, âDid you piss me off on purpose? Want to join your
sister?â
Iris said nothing
Zavier yelled, âSpeak!â
Iris said fearfully. âWho would want to die if they could live? I didnât mean to piss you off. I just wanted to know how my sister died.â
She paused, watching Zavierâs reaction, then continued, âMy mother once told me that my sister was a fool, that sheâd rather die than live with you. My parents knew she was miserable with you, but they still sent me over. Iâm afraid Iâll end up like my sister I want to change my future, but Iâm not sure I can.â
Zavier asked, âYou want to change your future? How do you plan to do that?â
Ins answered, âIâm not sure.â
Zavier asked again, âDidnât your family send you to school?â
Iris answered, âI was supposed to go to college next yearâ
Zavier asked, âYou still wanna hit the hooks?â
