Chapter 1512
Steven stepped up to Farley. âIâll give you a piggyback.â
Farley immediately climbed on Stevenâs back. âThanks!â
The doctor said, âPresident Dixon, let us handle this.â
Farley clung to Steven. âI just want my brother-in-law to carry me.â
The repeated âbrother-in-lawâ made Steven more touched than any compliments. âIâll carry you.â
The doctors were speechless, President Dixon had really changed. To win back his wife, nothing he did would surprise anyone.

Although Farley was thin, he was tall and not exactly light. He was much heavier than Hannah. Steven could carry him, but to carry him all that way was quite a struggle. Especially since Hannahâs leg hurt and she was walking slowly, Steven had to walk slowly too. After a while, they were still a fair distance from home.
Noticing Stevenâs sweaty forehead, Hannah said, âFarleyâs not light. Why donât you take him home first, no need to wait for me.â
Steven said, âI can still carry him.â
Hannah had nothing to say. Steven was determined to wait for her, and there was nothing she could do about it.
They slowly walked home, and even withstill a distance from the door, all three of them could smell the aroma of grilled fish. Farley said, âMomâs always so cool-headed. No matter what happens at home, mealtime is always top priority.â
Hannah said, âMomâs the rock of our family. Everyone else can lose it, but she canât.
Farley asked, âHannah, can I have grilled fish today?â
Hannah said, âIâll ask the doctor if thereâs anything you need to avoid; if not, eat your fill.â
Farley nodded happilyâ¦
Pandora was grilling fish when she saw them returning. She quickly glanced at Farleyâs leg. âYouâre okay?â
Farley said, âIâm fine.â
Pandora asked, âWhereâs your dad?â
Hannah said, âHeâs gone to settle scores with Roger.â
Pandora said, âYou guys go wash your hands. Dinnerâs ready.â
Hannah asked, âMom, arenât you worried about dad getting bullied?â
Pandora said, âHeâs a grown man. If he gets bullied, heâs asking for it.â
Hannah said, âMomâ¦â
Pandora said, âYour dad is my husband, Iâve lived with him for nearly thirty years, and I know him better than any of you. Heâs usually a calm person, but if anyone hurts his family, he wonât stand by and do nothing.â
Jarvis chimed in, âMother-in-law is right.â
Pandora said, âJarvis, both of my children are injured. Could you please help me move the stools and get the condiments?â
Jarvis said, âIâm your son-in-law, and itâs my duty to help with anything. You donât have to be so polite.â
Pandora said, âOkayâ
After she finished speaking, she turned to Steven, âAnd who might this be?â
